Candidates to appear on Monday Night Raw

The candidates will appear on WWE Monday.

The candidates will appear on WWE Monday.

(CNN) - The road to the White House apparently runs through WWE Monday Night Raw.

All three presidential candidates are scheduled to make taped appearances on tonight's episode, hoping to tap into the show's approximately 5 million weekly viewers. The messages will also come on the eve of the crucial Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania.

WWE says the appearances follow an invitation both Clinton and Obama to appear live on the show to settle the prolonged Democratic presidential race in the wrestling ring. This is not the first time the WWE has waded into politics: it unsuccessfully challenged Al Gore and George Bush to agree to an arm wrestling match in 2000. It has also launched a voter registration drive called Smackdown Your Vote.

Read what Clinton, aka "Hill-Rod," and Obama will say tonight after the jump. (The McCain campaigns have not released their scripts.)

Clinton on WWE

Hi, I’m Hillary Clinton. But tonight, in honor of the WWE, you can call me Hill-Rod.

This election is starting to feel a lot like “King of the Ring.” The only difference? The last man standing may just be a woman.

The truth is, this election is so important. The next president will face a stack full of difficult challenges right from the opening bell… to fix the economy, bring our troops home from Iraq, and make college more affordable. You need a president who will go to the mat for you. And that’s exactly what I’ll do.

I’ve been knocked down, but I’ve always gotten back up. And I know how to take a hit for the American people. And if things get a little tough, I may even have to deliver the “people’s elbow.”

Because this country is worth fighting for.

Now, I promise to stick to the political arena. So don't worry Randy Orton you're safe... for now.

When it comes to standing up for the American people though, I am ready to rumble.

Barack Obama on WWE

Hey WWE fans – I hope you're all enjoying the program tonight. You know, this is a historic time for America. It's not just that the reign of Randy Orton may soon be coming to an end. It's that at this moment, in this election, we have a chance to finally end business-as-usual in Washington. For a long time now, we've had a politics where our leaders go after each other like they're competing to become King of the Ring instead of coming together to provide universal health care, fix our economy, and solve our other problems. That's what I'm running for President to change. So to the special interests who've been setting the agenda in Washington for too long – and to all the forces of division and distraction that have stopped us from making progress for the American people – I've got one question: Do you smell what Barack is cooking?

Well HRC you don't want to meet with rogue leaders of other countries but you happily want to legitimize Terrorist in your ads (do you know how happy they are right now getting all this free air time in america. ), because you want to win an election. And don't forget that Japan is actually an ally now, hope you know who our friends are.

I thought scare tactics is what go us into war in the first place, OH wait you voted for the war haha. We wonder why you are resorting to republican tactics, this is a new low even for you.

Hillary is desperate. She knows that when all else fails, one can resort to fear-stories because so many insecure people respond to them, as demonstrated here. It has worked in the past. But most of us now have evolved beyond that primitive fight-or-flight mentality. We are inspired by Barack Obama because he focuses on hope and positive change.

When you comes to character ask yourself some questions about how Obama has remained a member for 20 years of Trinity United Church of Christ, a church that is separatist at best, and racist at worst. Does America really need a President who is not only inexperience but supports a church that has a "non-negotiable commitment to Africa" and a former pastor that preaches hate? Has a wife who is obviously very angry about America and so so far left that Democrats would rather vote for McCain if he becomes the Democratic candidate.

Let PA vote themselves deeper into a hole. My sons are not going to this stupid war so let all the sons of PA go and die for some people that don't give a HOOT about them. 100yrs sounds good to me and if Hillary wins this thing and Obama is voted out I will vote for Mc Same and help give them the 100yrs of hell that they love so much. Obama may be too good of a man to be in charge of this government for them. Go ahead PA make my day. Talk about Cali. all you want but I have never been without a job. You better load up the truck Jethro. No, on the other hand stay there and wait for your jobs to come back, Hillary and McSame has a plan for you. Any of you want to buy the Golden Gate Bridge? Hillary will sell it to you very cheap? Heck, She sold herself to you with no problem.
Any way it goes, Obama will be OK. What about YOU?

Alice... That Was a 26 point margin.

Maybe Obamas ring name should be "The Destroyer" Because he has destroyed her.
But its ok ..Hillary still has great opportunities in Hollywod. She has been giving Academy Award level performances daily for years.
Ive never seen a more contrived, plastic, fake, phony, chameleon before.
She will say and be whatever the people want in whatever state she is performing in at the time she is performing.
    Thats right..performing.. not campaigning.
She transforms her self into whatever she thinks the voters of any given state she is visiting want her to be. The consumate Actress.

Guess her Wrestling Ring name should be "The Transformer "
Maybe she can even convince herself that she really isn't in debt.
She is very good at transforming, twisting, and creating her own reality.
So good, that her supporters are somehow naive enough to accept whatever she says as gospel. I guess thats why her suporters are lower income and lower educated. Poor gulible souls. her most intelligent support comes from feminists and lesbians.
    OOpz..am I an elitist? Or a realist?

Clinton will probably try and do a body slam to show that she's also a wrestler... and a whisky drinker... and a bowler... and a hunter... with roots in Scranton. At some point, can a senator be "too" blue-collar?

This is truly the low point of our political system, what next, they all appear on Survivor and Big Brother? Whatever happened to the dignity of the Office of the Presidency?

Like all great empires, they implode socially from within, wake up America!

  18. The bitter people

Liberals make me laugh. If you don't agree with them you aren't "smart". Just read the posts by Obamanics. Go check out Ben Stein's new movie and watch the liberal elitist thought police get challenged and exposed. News flash, being a liberal does not certify you as intelligent, it does however seem to add arrogance points.

Don't be distracted by these Hillary bashers. All they want to promote is hatred. This is not what democracy is about. Let's vote for a candidate whom we can count on, a candidate who's been a fighter for many years and who will fight for us. HILLARY '08

    ***REAL American***

It's not surprising that you'd have a crush on "true democrat."

Your arrogance is a sign of your immaturity.

To your tiny mind, if someone disagrees with you, they're not a REAL American? (The same way that "true democrat" wants to define the party in their own narrow terms.)

You're the one who is not ready to converse with (reasonable) adults!

What a complete circus. John Adams and James Madison would loath what they had created. The personal dignity of John McCain is the only thing that keeps this from being a complete circus.
