McCain when was the last time you spent time among the black community? I hate the way you guys think all you have to do is come around once every four years to solicit votes from people you could care less about during the remaining years.

Go home or stay among the people that you are normally around, I want to base my vote on who the cadidate is in his own element. You can come around me every day from here until Nov. that says nothing! It's easy to pretend to be something you are not for a little while. So dance and enjoy yourself then take you old behind back home because it means little to nothing! Americans are smart intelligent people now a days we want substance not BS.

Jay   April 21st, 2008 10:54 pm ET

How is this dancing?
Even my 88 year old grandmother can bust a move better then McFart.

Obama Nation   April 21st, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Do you remember what Obama said about Bill Clinton? He said that he would have to see him dance before he could consider him a true brother. He actually said that. It was on January 22nd. It seems so stereotypical and it seems arrogantly exclusive at the same time.

Former Clinton Supporter   April 21st, 2008 10:48 pm ET

WOW this from a man who voted AGAINST – MLK Day!
All I can say is WOW!
Speechless!

Indiana Bob   April 21st, 2008 10:33 pm ET

All I see in these comments is more personal hatred from the Obama followers. The same people who promote hope and change. Pretty frightening!!

aliou salam, Jacksonville FL   April 21st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Hillary is a liar. If she can't remember if she was dreaming or wide awake in bosnia sniper, How would you trust our country to her to answer this phone call at 3 am?

She can't manage her campaign money or personel, can she manage this country?

Jay Shah   April 21st, 2008 10:16 pm ET

Mccain is just dancing because he is trying to show how young he is...

I don't know if it worked, but I do know that the media needs to grill mccain about Iraq and the economy. Both of these issues send mccain and other republicans and the american people need to know what their plans are.

I love when white politicians play up to Black voters and then after elections don't give us a second thought.

Ken of NC   April 21st, 2008 9:32 pm ET

McCain dancing? WOW. My suggestion to him would be not to give up his day job because I doubt he has much of a future dancing for pocket change. lol

Erik   April 21st, 2008 9:30 pm ET

A gospel dance won't change the fact that Sen. McCain's time has unfortunately come and gone. He's had an honorable career, but the Presidency is just too much for him.

Tell It Like It Is   April 21st, 2008 9:21 pm ET

Take pity on McCain... bury him in a bed full of Depends.

Bridgette   April 21st, 2008 9:20 pm ET

Colin Powell will never run with McCain. He did not believe in this war and they pressured him to sell it. That is why he didn't come back for the second term and that is why he is doing so much charity work because the guilt and the mess of this war is killing him. He was probably one of few who actually had a conscience.

McCain looks etremely uncomfortable but I think it is extremely admirable of him to even go and talk to black people. Most of the time that party just ignores us and maybe this will start some much needed dialog.

I was going to leave a comment, but I'm to busy laughing at McCain, what a fool.

somthing you should know b4 voting tomorrow   April 21st, 2008 8:23 pm ET

tHIS WAS FROM MICHAEL MOORE'S WEBSITE

QUOTE FROM MICHAEL MOORE :

"Finally, I want to say a word about the basic decency I have seen in Mr. Obama. Mrs. Clinton continues to throw the Rev. Wright up in his face as part of her mission to keep stoking the fears of White America. Every time she does this I shout at the TV, "Say it, Obama! Say that when she and her husband were having marital difficulties regarding Monica Lewinsky, who did she and Bill bring to the White House for 'spiritual counseling?' THE REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT!"

But no, Obama won't throw that at her. It wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be decent. She's been through enough hurt. And so he remains silent and takes the mud she throws in his face.

That's why the crowds who come to see him are so large. That's why he'll take us down a more decent path. That's why I would vote for him if Michigan were allowed to have an election.

IM AM SHOCKED…..SHE LOST MY VOTE….POINT BLANK

John McCain is very smart guy. He knows that Clintons, Carville, Lanny Davis and Bob Johson are trying to steal this nomination away from Obama, young men and women and american people. And McCain is telling them that I will be there for you. Just look at where he is going...

Venus   April 21st, 2008 8:13 pm ET

Thank you John Mc Cain for reaching out to us African Americans – and we agree – it's time for us to heal and move forward! I do believe you will be a better president than Bush! I like Bush – I like him better than his father! Again, thank you!

NickNas   April 21st, 2008 8:07 pm ET

Just a quick comment to clear up an issue.

Not all of Obamas supporters will Vote for Mc Cain if Hillary by some "MIRACLE" Manages to win the Nomination BUT I am betting there are about 1.3 Million people out here like me who will NOT be sending HER their hard earned cash like we did Obama. It is Clear now that Hillary supporters although VERY vocal and seem to be complete believers in anything she says are NOT very supportive with their wallets. The General election will be a landslide for the GOP because THEY WILL support her. I for one will NEVER give money to anyone who does business like a Clinton. Party or no Party.

One week after her" Miracle" If it happens I know 2 people in MY home who will drive to the registrars and change to Independant for sure. The DNC has shown ZERO Leadership throughout this fiasco.

A copy of this was sent to the DNC as well.

That is all.

ds   April 21st, 2008 8:07 pm ET

Republicans CAN dance!

Tjaye   April 21st, 2008 8:02 pm ET

ROFLOL!! It sounded like they were singing a song at a funeral and the lyrics were killing me.... "Do Lawd..Do Lawd...Lawd remember me...when I'm sick and can't get well, Lawd remember me!"" Ummm....if I were McCain, I would wonder if they knew something he SHOULD know about. LOL

Then he started clapping offbeat?? Oh goodness!

This was a good chuckle. He seems like a nice enough man, but I'm sorry...bustin a move with the church sistas is not enough to get my vote.

Robert   April 21st, 2008 8:00 pm ET

This is all such a Joke!! Look at what the "Media" has given us to pick from "Ha"

300 Million people and you give us these 3! The Media is bought and paid for , by much
higher powers, than you know...Dig a little, Guess what... there biggest share holders, have
a lot to lose if they don't "Market" the right Candidates PERIOD!

Just remember this and its so true..."He that controls the Money" "Controls the Country"
Everything revolves around Economics! Everything!

There is just one guy I seen who actual understands that, and the media treated him as a
Whacko! I will stick to my guns and Vote Ron Paul!

WHY OH WHY I KEEP ASKING MYSELF DID NOT THE REPUBLICANS EVER ASK COLIN POWELL TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT? AND NOW WHY DOT THEY ASK COLIN POWELL TO RUN WITH MCCAIN FOR VP. ON THE REPUBLICAN TICKET.

PUT COLIN POWELL AND BARAK OBAMA ON THE SAME PLATFORM OR STAGE RALLY AND OBAMA WILL LOOK LIKE A BOY SCOUT TO A TOWERING FIGURE OF A SCOUT MASTER LIKE COLIN POWELL.
COLIN POWELL HAS LONG BEEN A TOWERING AND POWERFUL
FIGURE IN AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AND POLITICAL CIRCLES.
REAGANITES WILL INSTANTLY FLOCK TO POWELL.

McCain is taking a dance step in the right direction. Better to immerse yourself and try to drum up some votes than ignore demographics completely as so many Republicans do.

peter in PA   April 21st, 2008 7:41 pm ET

People who votes for McCain hear this….A vote for McCain is a vote for Cindy McCain. He is too old to handle the day to day activities of the president. Cindy will have hands on everything and will literally control McCain's agenda. She will make Nancy Regan look like choir girl. Do you want to vote for Cindy? Think!

John Smith   April 21st, 2008 7:38 pm ET

When I hear people say, "we need Hillary to turn this economy around," my stomach grinds! Do these people think that "all the conditions" that were present during the Clinton years (including getting Gore back as VP, and a Repulican House/Senate) will be back if Hillary were to be president? This is so sad!! Bill has helped ship all the jobs of the 90's overseas; no Clinton will ever bring back those jobs. The Clintons had this planned all along; now they are making the benefits from those past deals that they made ($109 million came from where?). The Clintons will only make more deals, if anyone ever gets them back to that White House. How stupid can some people be amazes me everyday!!

Sean in N.C.   April 21st, 2008 7:37 pm ET

This video is hilarious! Notice how McCain stuggles to find the rhythm and clap along, ...he hangs on for about two claps, ...then he just gives up.

This is about the funniest thing I have seen in a while.

Roy   April 21st, 2008 7:34 pm ET

McCain has more guts than any Obama supporters. He's the first Republican ever to go to this particular place in history and face the people his party has so neglected.

It's too bad they didn't have the courage to show up to listen to what he had to say. I guess they've been brainwashed by a smooth talking guy who is going to disapoint them in the end.

Tomorrow I will cast my primary vote for Senator Clinton. You Obama supporters have really made my decision easy, you appear to be very shallow. All I read is "McCain's old" or "Hillary is a bully" and other such rot. I admire Senator Clinton for staying in the race despite momentum against her, it shows me that she'll stand up to any task to any problem. Maybe Senator McCain is over 70 years old, but both DD Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan we in their "golden years", but both did this country a great service.

Maybe I might have voted different if you would have presented a more issue oriented arguement – you are proving your critics right, that all you know are bumper sticker slogans.

I just want to voice my annoyance of being called an obamabot. It signifies I don't understand all of his policies or am less edjucated in some way. This is just not the case whatsoever. If anything, I have looked over every candidate more so than almost everyone I know. Who cares if McCain tries to dance, as long as he doesn't have a heart attack from all the excitement.

carlo   April 21st, 2008 7:02 pm ET

AZM can I ask you a question? If there was footage of Obama at a nursing home doing the two-step with a room full of old white women, would yuo consider it pandering?

Independent, Butler PA   April 21st, 2008 7:00 pm ET

Ha Ha

I actually really like McCain and am considering voting for him despite being a liberal. I think a moderate or indepent is exactly what this nation needs. I am sick of both parties. Hillary is my first choice but if she is not an option I hope Ron Paul or Nader can make a strong run.

Drew, FL   April 21st, 2008 6:59 pm ET

Have a chill pill AZM. This just looks like typical Republican pandering. The guy votes no for MLK day, thus insulting Afro-americans. Now he wants to look hip. He gets to kill two birds with one stone. He can he really cares about the black community and faith-based groups. That smile seems almost genuine. He's getting down. I guess the folks he's dancing with aren't agents of intelorance.

Oh, I almost forgot. OBAMA '08 ! ! ! B-)

John Smith   April 21st, 2008 6:55 pm ET

The Dems in PA can help the party by bringing this primary to a quick conclusion. That is, if they love the party and this nation over their support for Hillary. We all know who has the numbers regardless of how long this campaign goes on. Hillary's chances are so small that a vote for her is to encourage the party to continue to suffer under Hillary's need to win at all cost! T his is common sense, Hillary does not have the number of (a) pledged delegates and (b) popular votes to continue without making it easy for the Republicans to win the general election. I do not hate Hillary!!

scott mcnaughton   April 21st, 2008 6:53 pm ET

McCain joined in a dance? C'mon, CNN. There was singing and hand clapping. He walked arm in arm with a black woman, and clapped six times, both uncomfortably. Cameras rushed to capture the staged moment. Seems like the audacity of hype to me.
