(CNN) – The Democratic presidential race has taken a negative turn over the last several weeks — and most Pennsylvania Democrats appear to blame Hillary Clinton.

According to the exit polls, two thirds of Pennsylvania Democrats say Clinton has launched unfair attacks against Barack Obama. Only 30 percent of voters say she hasn't.

Meanwhile, 49 percent of Pennsylvania Democrats said Obama has attacked Clinton unfairly while 48 percent say he has not.

I will not vote for her if she strong arms her way to the nomination. I think George W. would be proud of her fear-mongering campaign and her out and out lies and manipulations of "The facts.' I am an independent who has voted for both republican and democratic candidates for 22 years and I just cannot support the Billary show making a comeback. She will take this to the convention folks and then Billary will start their strong-arm tactics with delegates and then the primary system show claims to support will all be for naught. As a 40-something white women, I am so disappointed we don't have a better woman candidates.

Larry Buchas   April 22nd, 2008 10:18 pm ET

Congratulations, spineless Democrats.

I tried very hard but I can't stand the Clintons anymore. I refuse to vote for her because 27% of Hillary's supporters say they will vote for McCain if Barack wins the nomination. I said I would vote for her but no more.

I can't stomach those liars. They are in the same league as the Bush clan. This country deserves what they keep voting for, hatred and division.

jbo   April 22nd, 2008 10:12 pm ET

the older peoplenonly vote for hillary because they are affraid of a black man being presedent

Joann   April 22nd, 2008 10:03 pm ET

Well the white girl has cried again, only this time it was a black man so to speak she was crying fowl against it was one of her own that she blamed fir stealing her and billy bob's rightful place in the white house. SHAME ON YOU OBAMA. hehehe Sen. Obama is her white brother that was disowned because his daddy was a black man and we all no that this is something that our old white family member don't want to own up to. So they voted for the liar and she won.

Toshia   April 22nd, 2008 9:43 pm ET

As long as Hillary keep playing negative ads, lying and destroying the character of our Democratic Party, I will NOT vote for her in the presidential election. I've never voted Republican, in my life, but she will make me seriously consider it; or not vote at all. I'm not the only person who feels this way, as I discuss this with family, co-workers, and church members.

JC   April 22nd, 2008 9:21 pm ET

As similar as their policies may be, I just CAN'T vote for a canidate that pushes for Universal Healthcare. Fact is, it isn't as good an idea as most people would like to believe… Thus my reasoning is, while I hope for Obama -who is looking to reform healthcare rather than entirely rebuild it- I will vote for McCain over Hillary…

mamacoo   April 22nd, 2008 9:19 pm ET

No Alex, how about Obama and the media setting this up. Senator Clinton has every right to stay in this race. Obama can not close the deal. At this point, neither one of them have enough delagates to win the nomination. Why does Obama and his fans think he should just be given the nomination? Senator Clinton has as much of a right to stay in the race as Obama. She obviously has many supporters who feel she is the best candidate. Let it play out and see what happens. Obama fans, try to get a grip and face reality. Obama is in a competition and it ain't over.

Cali Girl   April 22nd, 2008 9:05 pm ET

Obama is the right man for the job the Bush family had the White House for sixteen years and the Clintons for eight. Please don't get me wrong I am a big fan of Bill Clinton, Hillary I am not so sure of.People are looking for a change . I know I am. I would love for a woman to be President of the United States But I just don't think this is the time for a woman President. People are looking for HOPE and CHANGE. A chance for everyone to be able to live the American Dream. When are in a state of emergency .We need someone in office who other people in other countries would be willing to talk too.America is falling second to other countries right now.

Matthew   April 22nd, 2008 9:00 pm ET

Clinton and Obama may have similar policies however they are two very different people.

After suffering through the Dubbya it would be nice to have a President I would be proud to have represent the American Nation i.e. not someone as petty, isolating and nasty as Hillary Clinton. Please America lets use some common sense and elect someone with some common decency!

Newman   April 22nd, 2008 8:52 pm ET

If the 67% figure is indeed true, then I would expect nothing less than a 67 to 33 win for Obama. So either this poll is inaccurate or there are alot of stupid, foolish people that would vote for her even though they don't trust her. We have a long way to go in election politics.

Rosemarty Takeda   April 22nd, 2008 8:52 pm ET

I have to say that Richard had it all wrong, because of age and race and gender and education for that matter. He stated that you had to be poor and under educated and a black male to vote for Obama. How racist is that? I am sorry to tell him that I am a white 50 year old female, educator and teacher and a well off business owner that is voting for Obama. Never under estimate the power of the Hippy. We all voted for years for Ralph Nader (oh my GOSH) We are still out there voting with our hearts for America. I have been every color of the ballot with parties. I don't have a problem with changing colors to vote for the best canidate. Hillary just is not exceptable and neither is Mc Cain. I love Obama and what he stands for. I hope we have him for eight years for my son who is 12 to grown up. I would hate to have him grow up under the regime of Hillary or Mc Cain, because we will all be seeing our kids go to war. I am anti politics but this is the first election that I cared enough about it to watch the CNN news every minute to see who is in the lead. Go figure. The Old Hippies are still voting Richard.

DobyGS   April 22nd, 2008 8:48 pm ET

If Hillary wins, I will vote for McCain. The rethuglicans have already won this election.

JC   April 22nd, 2008 8:48 pm ET

That's a scary face. Why is she so bitter about everything?

I would not want to vote for anybody that wants to be president so she can get back at those that mistreated her.

Hillary doesn't realize that the people around her are the mirror image of who she is.

manny   April 22nd, 2008 8:46 pm ET

and if Clinton gets the nomination, not only will I vote for McCain, I campaign for him.

Nellie   April 22nd, 2008 8:46 pm ET

Amen, Ruby, Amen, Amen!

Jane, NC   April 22nd, 2008 8:44 pm ET

If people blame Sen. Clinton for unfair attacks, it's because the news media told them to. Remember Obama's misleading health care ad, the first of such negative attacks?

Tracy   April 22nd, 2008 8:41 pm ET

It's not *Going negative* to run adds pointing out Hillary's healthcare policy differences from Obama's and it's not *Going negative* to respond to Hillary's blatant lies. People, stop using the soundbites you hear or read and pay attention. Throwing out the tired sounbites show that you aren't paying attention. We need voters who educate themselves about the issues. That's why the Obama gets the educated voter's votes.

Craig, Seattle, WA   April 22nd, 2008 8:38 pm ET

By the way, if Obama gets the nomination, I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN!

Craig, Seattle, WA   April 22nd, 2008 8:38 pm ET

Fran Says   April 22nd, 2008 8:37 pm ET

Foreign Affairs: Remember Bosnia?? Now . . . she wants to nuke Iran

Credibility - 67% of Democrats say she is un-trustworthy.

Thanks . . . but no thanks!!!

kenneth Asafo-Adjei   April 22nd, 2008 8:33 pm ET

you know look at the way people are attacking clinton in this forum .all the worst words ir thrown at clinton but this same people go on say clinton is doing thr attack please don't fool yourself

Alyssa Moul   April 22nd, 2008 8:33 pm ET

The attacks began when Obama's campaign made a statement regarding Hillary's credibility/experience back in February of 2007. Anyone care to actually do some research?

yem   April 22nd, 2008 8:33 pm ET

Hillary knows that she is going to lose anyway. But she will not stop at anything now, because she is sooo….'bitter.

James   April 22nd, 2008 8:30 pm ET

Launching a negative attacks is not the appropriate way of winning election,….. haven't the Clintons ever heard of fair play…….. Isn't there no more honors among thieves….?

Susan Norton   April 22nd, 2008 8:30 pm ET

Does anyone think that the media may have influenced the public's opinion of Hillary? Not only has the media been against Hillary for years, the majority of the media was out in force last week complaining with Obama on how ABC had been unfair in the debate. I almost gagged, it was so disgusting. Obama and all his choir were crying. Attack ads, glib lines, sarcasm - it's how things are done in politics and Washington. Oh that's right, Obama wants to change it all, doesn't he. (Change, how many times have I heard that in a campaign.) It didn't take Obama long to quit changing and join the fight, did it? How long do you think his change pretense will work on his supporters?

Fran Says   April 22nd, 2008 8:30 pm ET

The Senator from NY has traded her respectibility and standing within the Democratic community for her shot at the White House. The former president has damaged his already perilous legacy to join in on what will be remembered as one of the (if not the most) dirtiest primary campaigns in history.

It's hard to imagine what is to come, considering that we are currently fighting among ourselves.

Supporters of both candidates are incredibly and personally vested in their candidate. The DNC says that the party will survive and we will all come together in Denver and sing KUMBAYAH.

When you read the blogs and comments out there . . . you realize . . . THAT'S GONNA BE TOUGH!!

indepen-dent   April 22nd, 2008 8:29 pm ET

I made up my mind over a week ago… I said then and I say now I'm voting for Obama or McCain come Nov.

Stennis, CA   April 22nd, 2008 8:26 pm ET

Hillary "believes" and knows she's not going to win, but she will rather drag Obama down with her and give the presidency to McCain rather than to let Obama beat them (Hillary and McCain)… In short she just wants to destroy the democratic party.

Dennis, NY   April 22nd, 2008 8:25 pm ET

Amazingly 67% of the Democrats feel Clinton is dishonest and has started negative attacks but they vote for her none the less. Being a Republican at least I can accept McCain if Clinton somehow steals the nomination. But I would rather vote for the first honest nominee in my lifetime, Obama. You Democrats have managed to take a sure thing and shoot yourselves in the foot.

Dani   April 22nd, 2008 8:25 pm ET

Look, this is the way the ball bounces. It is interesting though that a man who is supposed to signify change has decided to play politics as usual in the race with his own negative adds. What happened to change anyway? Oh yeah, words and change only matter when his speech writers say they do.

Jeanette   April 22nd, 2008 8:23 pm ET

Herman LA, CA (April 22nd, 2008 7:37 pm ET) wrote: "Barack has to walk a fine line because if he went negative on a white woman he would not stand a chance. And that's the truth, she can do it to him and its fine but he can't do it to her. What a shame."

Ding Ding Ding!!! We have a winner!! First person I have witnessed on any blog who actually has figured this out and precisely articulated it. Were he to respond with the same aggression she has shown, he would be both perceived and characterized as the angry black man, and she the lily white damsel in distress. But his approach is not accidental. He is a black man in America and unfortunately, this is the trade off you have to make in order to become successful. Sad indeed.

Jennifer   April 22nd, 2008 8:23 pm ET

The difference is that the only negative attacks he makes are on her policies or how she conducts herself in Washington. Her attacks are on him personally as much if not more than on his policies.

Susan Norton   April 22nd, 2008 8:20 pm ET

CNN always puts the negative spin on Hillary.
Doesn't anyone remember when Obama was saying that Hillary didn't have the judgment to be president because she voted yes on the Iraq resolution? That was his standard stump speech. If you don't think that was a negative attack, get real. Of course, he had to quit saying it when someone finally realized and got through to him that many senators like Kerry and Edwards had voted for it too. (I wouldn't think Edwards would be very happy to support Obama while Obama is saying that he didn't have the judgment to be president. Kerry was already in Obama's grasp because he has a problem with the Clintons.) Although I did hear Obama ramp that up again this last week.

ruby   April 22nd, 2008 8:20 pm ET

Richard is 100% correct. I am tired of being labeled something I am not because I do not want to fall in behind Obama. My circle of Hillary supporters is well-educated and informed.

I also think it will be a shame when all is said and done to discover that a lot of the youthful Obama supporters are boomerangers still at home allowing thier parents to support them. What they have is time — time to spend on the net and time to campaign that those of us out in the workforce (and yes, even the parents supporting them) do not have.

Obama has been just as negative and just as "political" as any other candidate. The big difference is he keeps lying and saying he isn't — and sadly many are caught up in the smoke and mirrors of his candidacy.

Hillary is our best hope for straightening out the mess the Republicans made of our country, and by extendion, the world!

Devin   April 22nd, 2008 8:20 pm ET

Guy's STOP FIGHTING OVER CANIDATES. Both Canidates are good. I prefer Obama but I have respect for Senator Clinton as well. WE NEED A DEMOCRAT TO WIN IN 2008! DO YOU WANT ANOTHER GEORGE BUSH IN POWER? I DON'T THINK SO. No matter who wins I'll vote for them, and you should too, they're policies are 95% of the same.

Sarah   April 22nd, 2008 8:20 pm ET

Hillary clinton has tried to drag obama through the mud, and everybdy has been wondering why he doesn't knock her out of the race. he certainly have enough amunition. but he is to smart for that.for one, he is a perfect gentelman, and he has a great deal of respect for women. everything about this election is unpresidented . a black man running against a white woman, when just about sixty years ago he couldn.t even look at a white woman. thats why I know if he goes to negative on her a lot of people wouldn,t like it. and guss what? she knows it to!!!!

Alex   April 22nd, 2008 8:13 pm ET

Am I the only one who thinks Hillary is setting things up so no Dem will be elected this year? Gives her another chance if she loses and if she wins, well so be it.

But wow, she's seriously damaged goods at this point. She's hurt Obama in some ways, but I really don't think Clinton supporters see the damage she's done herself. Most of the country does not like her and now she's gone and ensured that will be a HUGE hurdle for her if she were to ever make the general.

I support Obama, but I'd support Hillary if the other choice is McCain. But man, I don't see how any of this helps her at all. She's sinking fast and an adult in the party needs to tell her to put the dogs away for the Republicans. It's sad really. We're witnessing the distinigration of the party in slow motion.

God save us from another moronic Republican.

Cut the crap . . . Let’s get to the really tough policy questions: Do we want our taxes to keep up with inflating gas prices? How exactly will we end this misguided mess in Iraq? Does Obama or Clinton actually have a plan to get Osama bin Laughing? I don’t care about the sexual exploits of our president. I do care a great deal about the level of expertise the president will bring to the cabinet and the court(Harriet Meyers for SJC—was he serious?) and the care and thoughtfulness brought to very complex issues of environmental stability, economic stability, the growing threats of infectious disease, nuclear proliferation, and climate change. All this as China and India awaken their populations to consume more resources in the coming 20 years. I’m disappointed in the democratic party for creating such a nuanced primary process that doesn’t model the general election (state winner take all) and created this blood bath between two formidable intellects – we deserve another 8 years of neo-conservative dogma. Fools all. Break from the past PA and choose Obama (this from a strong supporter of both Clintons) settle this thing and get on with solving real problems!

mamacoo   April 22nd, 2008 8:05 pm ET

Campaigning means to sell yourself as the better candidate. It means to tell voters why you are the best one for the job. It is to show voters that you are the strongest candidate. The way you normally do that is by putting your record out there and taking your opponents record apart. Whenever Senator Clinton did that, people yelled and screamed unfair. People called her (and Bill) racist, liars ect. They did everything they could to make it seem that Senator Clinton was doing something unusual. The media chose Obama and jumped on the band wagon to label everything the Clinton campaign did/does as negative. Meanwhile. everyone has allowed Senator Obama to do the same thing but called it aggressive campaigning. Stats will show that there are more negative reports about Senator Clinton than Senator Obama. Bottom line is that this is a campaign, get over it.

We all have both sides - we can be nice and we can be mean. Obama has exercise much restraint in his attacks, although now and then, he does attack. Hillary, on the other hand, loves to attack … she is having fun w/ it, she thinks this demonstrates toughness.

Hillary seems tough on the outside, but she is weak on the inside. Obama seems gentle on the outside, but he is tough on the inside. He stands pretty solid, whereas Hillary is all over the place, wherever the wind blows.

Tyler   April 22nd, 2008 7:58 pm ET

Bruce, give your head a shake and look at the issues.
1. Clinton lied about Bosnia
2. Clinton hid donations to her campaign - clinton vs paul - watch the facts on you tube.
3. Clinton hid more donations - reported a donation as the American Museum Alliance instead of the American Muslim Alliance.
4. Her experience is lacking.
5. Policies put forth by Obama and Clinton are very similar, but Clinton has all this extra baggage.
6. Clinton's supporter and aide endorsed Farrakan.
7. The list goes on and on.

Vote for a real change for once in your life. Don't believe the lies that you need real experience to run and get things done in this country. I am so concerned about those PA voters now that I would personally be willing to contribute to a fund to further their education. Helllooooo?????? Clinton is not from small town America, her grandparents were….she's 60 years old, for god sakes…. most of her life has been spent outside "small town America." Every word out of her mouth is insincere, calculated and meant to further her own personal goals….not to take care of those poor blue-collar Americans she panders to. By the way PA, Clinton's bowling sucked too…and she had an in-house bowling alley in the White House for practice…. something tells me she spent too much time ducking bullits in Bosnia
and hosting tea parties for women's rights…didn't leave much time to practice up on those small town past times like bowling.

GET USE TO IT SHE WILL BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT

Susan MO   April 22nd, 2008 7:43 pm ET

Clinton is negative???

Obama did the most negative thing when he RUDELY spoke to the good people of Pennsylvania.

Obama is the negative one!

Fordy   April 22nd, 2008 7:43 pm ET

Is it that America can only be led by two families? Is the presidency going to continuously go from the Bushs to the Clintons? Will Chelsea be the next president after her mother completes her two terms? Isn't this the reason why there is a term restriction for president's? If Hillary wins, wouldn't this be like Bill's third term? Are we to believe that he would have absolutelty no influence on the decisions she makes? Why should one family spend 16 years in the White House? Just asking…

Grammy in Oklahoma   April 22nd, 2008 7:42 pm ET

When one looks at the past activities of Senator Obama, he has tried but can not hide the dirty laundry in his closet. That is the reason he will not speak to the press during the last two weeks. Hopefully, the voters will look beyond a false front and know he is all hot air and no substance. Just look where he learned his politics–South Chicago–and his fundraising pals.
He should stay in South Chicago and clean up the economic and criminal mess there first before venturing out to all 50 states. And the terrorist group Hamas is hoping he will win. Wonder why?

Rose   April 22nd, 2008 7:42 pm ET

Obama has very little experience and should wait for the right time to seek his presidential candidacy. PERIOD!!!

Peggy   April 22nd, 2008 7:41 pm ET

In a mans world….I had to pick the man I liked.

b   April 22nd, 2008 7:40 pm ET

every single negative has started with the Clinton campaign. Obama has had to retaliate each and every time. I am old enough to have lived with the "Bill stuff" and I think that the only reason she stayed with him during national humiliation is because this was her dream, and it's going to come true for her one way or the other

McCain 08   April 22nd, 2008 7:39 pm ET

Democrats, Democrats…….I pray this contest continues on until August. If Hillary wins the nomination, I can promise you the only people who will vote for her are white females. White men will vote for McCain, African Americans will vote independant and She will lose in the general election. Go Hillary Go…..

Hillary Supportors, I love you all for what your doing to the democratic party. Thank you, Thank You very, very much……

Not sleeping at the switch   April 22nd, 2008 7:39 pm ET

Yes but they work. I dearly hope this woman doesn't prove that the majority of Americans are Liars and approve of saying anything to destroy people over and over knowing it is false. Every vote she gets is a heart Breaker. What the world must be thinking of us right now. But these are the same people who voted for BUSH twice and have not learned to THINK and put aside racial and sexist ideals.

After further review,Texas   April 22nd, 2008 7:39 pm ET

The polls are sheep dogs, hearding the stupid.

milli vanilli   April 22nd, 2008 7:38 pm ET

That's right, she has been negative every since february, she has come out with some very stupid comment's. She has had the help of the media, the help of her friends at channel 7 which I disrespect now.

She has brought up all kinds of out right lies and false accusations. and at the same time she has done a poor job of explaning her bosnia trip that was found to not be true. her late income tax disclosers. Her unfair attacks, and bill clinton, and chelsea, standing too close to the side lines, making stupid and disrepectful comments to people that want to know about certain issues. chelsea had the nerve enough to tell some questioners that the question about her fathers fornication was none of their business.

As long as her father was in the white house at the tax payers expense, it was all of our business. I wish this trifle woman would gracefully exit out, she would look more mature and less like a trouble maker later in future elections later down the road.

Bridgette   April 22nd, 2008 7:38 pm ET

It is way too many stupid polls out. The bottom line is this if she has no one of catching up why are the powers that be in the Democratic party allowing this to continue. It is time we start focusing on McCain. If I were Barrack Obama after this I would just start making all of my commercials and speeches about John McCain. I would act like I am the nominee already. I would just completely block her out. That is what the Republicans are doing right now. Every other word that they say is Obama this and Obama that. Look at FOX news one day. Democrats lets stop fretting over stupid stuff and start seeing the big picture. The big picture is she can't win. It is time to pull together around the next President. And that looks like Barak Obama.

Bruce   April 22nd, 2008 7:38 pm ET

I Could hear it Now, Iran threatens the US Obama caught pouting and Whining in the Oval Office Searching what should I do on Google! We Need a Leader not a Cry Baby!

Herman LA, CA   April 22nd, 2008 7:37 pm ET

Barack has to walk a fine line because if he went negative on a white woman he would not stand a chance.

And that's the truth, she can do it to him and its fine but he can't do it to her.

What a shame.

Cynthia   April 22nd, 2008 7:37 pm ET

Senator Obama had no choice but to give back some of what she was dishing out. He could not continue to let her get away doing so - it would have made him look soft. Wait until he meets McCain the American people will see what he is made of.

drz   April 22nd, 2008 7:36 pm ET

Hillary's logic: Go negative and win Pennsylvania, but still lose the nomination and trash her party for no good reason.

Vickie Brooks   April 22nd, 2008 7:36 pm ET

I think that if Obama wins, Hillary should become an Independant and run and let the people decide who they want on election day. If Hillary wins, Obama should become an Independant and run and also let the people determine who they want as the next President, Obama, Hillary or John! I am from Florida and I had no say in our Governor deciding my vote would not count. Why don't our Legislaters and Governor have to pay for a revote, not the people. That was stupid on our Florida leaders to do and I personally do not appreciate someone taking my vote away. I am also republican, but I voted democrat. Remember our Governor is a republican and I wonder if this was not all arranged to give McCain a gain by eliminating the democratic vote. Thought about that?????

Carrie Pa   April 22nd, 2008 7:35 pm ET

The Clinton Machine does play dirty! It hurts the party.

Vince - Phoenix   April 22nd, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Richard,

your entire post is FULL of flawed "logic", mental gynamstics, and is intellectually dishonest.

you've offered your opinion… I've offered mine…

No Hillary   April 22nd, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Unfair attacks and even more and more unfair attacks from Hillary is not new…. I am glad I followed this primary very closely to see the real face of Hillary and Bill Clinton. I already feel sorry that I ever voted for Bill Clinton back then as he was campagning in his own primaries. If I could, I will ask for my vote back in a heart beat.

Grammy in Oklahoma   April 22nd, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Most of the people working on the exit polls are young people who are more likely to support Obama and they can definitely have a say in the outcome of the polls. Think it would be wise to wait until the actual votes are counted. Hopefully, more rational thinkers will vote and the actual count will be in favor of Senator Clinton. Obama is a showman that seems to excite young people because they do not look beyond the false falcade he has chosen to exhibit.
When terrorist organizations that hate the USA are for Obama, one must wonder why.
Will keep my fingers crossed for Hillary. Senator Obama needs to go back to Chicago and clean up the mess there.

Jacques Casimir   April 22nd, 2008 7:33 pm ET

Well this is a surprise to no one. I love the Clinton tactic of blaming your opponent for all of your own tactics. Good thing voters can see through it, now will they end this endless primary.

sue   April 22nd, 2008 7:33 pm ET

I don't remember Obama doing any dirty tricks

Susan Kanoff   April 22nd, 2008 7:32 pm ET

I agree completely. I was actuallly leaning toward voting for Clinton, until I saw again and again that she was chiming into whatever the latest Obama bashing line happened to be. Reminded me of how the White House puts out a propaganda phrase and you hear it over and over again from every conservative source that exists. It's not a good idea these days to remind one of Bush. I also saw that Obama often took the high road and I want to see more of this in American politics. Therefore, and for many other reasons, Obama got my vote.

Charles   April 22nd, 2008 7:32 pm ET

Correct!

sfgirl   April 22nd, 2008 7:32 pm ET

yet cnn also notes that polls indicate she's leading in PA. it's scary the way the press has handled reporting this primary. anything for a headline.

PA primary watcher   April 22nd, 2008 7:32 pm ET

Clinton is an engager in attack battles. Just follow the news. When she said today, "I have to win," I trust she was only referring to a PA win. The "I have to win" statement is obviously not the American voters' consensus. Many of us do not require her to win. We prefer she doesn't.

Obama has out shown her in terms of human relationships, ability to work with senators and representatives in Washington, as well as honesty and a deep understanding of the American situation.

Paula in WI   April 22nd, 2008 7:32 pm ET

Exactly and they should not ever reward such pathetic behavior with a nomination, what would that teach all the new voters?

Rose   April 22nd, 2008 7:31 pm ET

John King is too much Obama fan. His predictions is always wrong.
He doesn't know what he is talking about and he tends to confuse the viewers instead of giving them the right results. CNN should replace him.

Gigi   April 22nd, 2008 7:31 pm ET

That's because our wonderful media makes sure thats how it looks.
Media lets the people forget how relentless Obama was when he was Mr Underdog. Though I don't think anyone can be an underdog when the media is in love with you.

mike   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

Almostly every negative attacks was first come out of Hillary's mouth…

Eddie P.   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

if that is the case. Why are more people voting for her ,wrather yhan Obama? Just another fix by all the major networks.

Jude   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

At least some PA people got it right. I would have blamed HRC 100% because of her "kitchen sink", "toilet sink" strategy.

Yvette , Texas   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

Wake Up Call!!!! The Clinton's will do anything and everything to win! ANYTHING! Winning, by any means necessary seems to be their motto. I pray that Americans will "WAKE UP" and see the lack of integrity that this woman continues to show all of us. Throughout this campaign, she has appeared to be very dishonest and beyond disgusting. I pray that God will not allow this woman to become our president. We've experienced a Clinton in the White House. While there were some good things, we need to remember that there was also a lot of bad and shameful things. We need a different kind of president than what the Clintons can offer! I'm saying NO to Hillary!

ross   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

Today, on the Today Show, Clinton thought her "small town" Pennsylvania folks didn't think this way. I wonder how will she spin this.

David   April 22nd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

That also reflects America as a whole as well. Only 30% who are Clinton supporters in the US believe she is innocent. Unbelieveable how people could find truth out of this woman. once a liar (and this is a fact) always a liar!

Vince - Phoenix   April 22nd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

unfortunately…

negative campaigning works…

just ask any republican

ERL   April 22nd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

You think??? She's been at it since Bill was in the White House getting caught playing with dolls…she better at that than handling her own money expense report….10.3 million in debt?????

Obviously not good at that!!!

Mary - Independent   April 22nd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Forget unfair attacks! Both Obama and Clinton fight like children.
Is this what we might look forward to as President to run this Country?
They have been very unprofessional, and I as a voter, am tired of it all!
Very possible, many may turn to McCain out of disgust for Obama and Clinton! What a disgrace to the Democratic Party!

John Smith   April 22nd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

What is so sad, as people vote, is that they forget that other nations are watching us.

We are eager to return to the White House, a family that
1. has lied to the U.S. (and the world) over and over again
2. has been impeached for breaking the laws of this nation
3. has sold our jobs overseas and are now reaping the benefits (think of the $109 million from the gains from the past)
4. works only for their own "name and reputation," not the American people.
6. has a woman who is hated by well over 50% of our people.

No one really believes that with the above record, any Clinton can restore the name, economy, and good-will of this nation back to the 1990's. Not even Bill can replicate the past economic foundations.

It is okay to "hope" but with such a history what hope is actually out there that any of the Clintons can get anything done in Washington again! They have burned their bridges, while we remain fools wanting to get them back there to help their egos! Both Clintons were Presidents of the United States; very scary!

John   April 22nd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

This particular exit poll result means nothing, and the question to the exiting voter(S) probably did not make sense to them????

Bill Brown   April 22nd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Well, in light of her allegation that he can't stand the heat, I'm guessing it is no surprise that she is seen as a negativist.

Come to think about it, she's always been that way.

Is there ANY Clinton supporter out there who can name ONE REASON why I should vote FOR her?

Iraq? She voted to go in and abandoned it when it went bad.

Health care? She was unable to pull that off with a Democratic majority in both houses; why should I think it would be any different?

The economy? Can anyone name me what she personally has done for economics?

Jack Taylor   April 22nd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

She started the negative attacks. Obama needs get down and dirty and stay there because negative attacks will not end. HRC is a good warm up for the republican smear machine

The Surly Scholar   April 22nd, 2008 7:27 pm ET

Well, no kidding, geniuses.

Clinton has been the instigating party in just about every instance when the campaign suddenly took a particularly harsh or personal turn. Apparently, Pennsylvania voters are well aware of this.

We don't need more negative, polarizing, divisive politics. If this country can't unite behind an upstanding leader with the courage to speak in the name of the common good, I fear for our collective fate.

Jim   April 22nd, 2008 7:27 pm ET

Wouldn't be the case if there weren't so negative things about Obama. Isn't THAT the point.

NC Voter   April 22nd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

Shame on you, Hillary Clinton!

Tejano   April 22nd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

UNFAIR. Since when is telling the truth about your opponent unfair.

If the media had done it's job, Hillary would have locked the nomination months ago. But no you gave Barak a Free Ride.

Now the media has egg on it's face for not doing their job.

Vince Los Angeles, CA   April 22nd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

This should end all discussion about who has been the negative influence in this primary. Hillary has been downright nasty and has lied uncontrollably. I am disgusted with the Clintons and will not support them regardless of who they are running against.

LT for Obama   April 22nd, 2008 7:24 pm ET

And yet the "polls" show that these people voted for her. How do you vote for someone you find to start school yard fights and then cry foul?

David Ferdi Brooklyn NY   April 22nd, 2008 7:23 pm ET

CNN PEOPLE KNOW MATH. why not say 66.6% of democrats believe clinton unfairly launched NEGATIVE ATTACKS.
TWO THIRDS SOUNDS AND LOOKS WATERED DOWN!!!

WOW 67%!!!!!! BAD GIRL!!!

April Garlow   April 22nd, 2008 7:23 pm ET

I think the attacks are not attacks unless they are about personal things. If Obama insults rural, blue collar people , it's news, that is not an attack. When Obama does the Annie Oakly name calling, that is an attack.

Adam from NY   April 22nd, 2008 7:23 pm ET

I'm wondering how Obama attacked Hillary unfairly. Was it with Bill's comments?

James   April 22nd, 2008 7:23 pm ET

You see. Super delegates take note.

v.ananthan   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

People must accept that OBAMA is negative too….

Chris   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

So how does Clinton expect Superdeligates to vote for her after all the divisive and destructive campaigning she's done through dragging this primary on longer than necessary?

I think it would push them away… and leave us with a tarnished party, weakened candidate and divided population. Additionally she will have accomplished no political gain and provide McCain with new ammunition throughout the process. I just don't get the logic.

David Ferdi Brooklyn NY   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

The majority of people blame Hillary for unfair attacks, yet still voted for her. C'on people, is this the kind of President we want leading our country?? She will say and do anything to Win as she has proved already.

Obama 08

chris isner   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

Nasty bad Clinton, Obama really can pull it off!

carlo   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

Yet, knowing all of this, people STILL vote for her. This makes no sense to me. If more people don't trust her, how can they support her? If you don't trust your boyfriend, would you marry him? Well, some would. Hillary married Bill.

Ethel from Baton Rouge, LA   April 22nd, 2008 7:22 pm ET

Hillary Clinton's style of campaigning is filled with attacks. She is a politician and that is what politicians do, especially desperate politicians. Barack Obama has retaliated against Clinton and should not have. He started playing her game instead of keeping focused. This does not make him a bad candidate just one who has to learn through the process. He's human.

Michael   April 22nd, 2008 7:21 pm ET

I thought it was the media who is being negative towards Clinton. I guess I was wrong.

Jane   April 22nd, 2008 7:21 pm ET

Of course Hillary has launched unfair attacks. Those are all on tape too by the way and available on the internet. No more secrets from Billary.

If Obama can't take the heat, then he shouldn't be running for President.

What a little baby…and we want him to negotiate with foreign leaders???

Richard   April 22nd, 2008 7:20 pm ET

Clearly for those of us who stay informed by keeping up with the news. If a candidate for President really wanted True Change, they would push for each citizen to maximize their abilities and economical independence. Of course, most of Sen. Obama's backing comes from the least experienced with life, naive and/or gullible, and those who think they are above the rest by their mental aptitude (you are to be considered intelligent and bright if you are supporting his candidacy). They are living off of either parental support or loans, vote because their skin color matches his, or we have the so-called top educated who believe they have all the answers to tell others how to live. It only takes someone to work in the academia to see what a caste system it is, based on one's level of education. In other words, if you are not a PhD all other employees are lumped in together and separated from them either by way of benefits, opportunities, etc.

It would be interesting to see how he attempts to change the political process. Is he going to openly denounce all Congressmen, Supreme Court Justices, etc. who do not agree with him? Will they then have to endure what the ABC debate commentators have been exposed to the last few days? It is so ironic to see an individual who speaks of unity and prosperity for all Americans to have created such a divisive line amongst many. They are already bullying Sen. Clinton's supporters who refuse to support him as the presidential candidate as not being true Democrats. One can be a Democrat, and not believe in the individual who is selected by the party to be their candidate. That is called, "Freedom of Choice". Ooops, that might not be around for much longer. Get it done Hillary America has been waiting for a President like you!!!!!

Richard   April 22nd, 2008 7:18 pm ET

Follow the time line of negatives and it brings one back to Obama.

DEMS UNITE   April 22nd, 2008 7:18 pm ET

HILLARY AND OBAMA HAVE VERY SIMILAR POLICIES, SO IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN JUST BECAUSE YOUR CANDIDATE DIDN'T GET THE NOMINATION!!! WE DEMOCRATS ARE SMARTER THAN THAT …… I HOPE.
