PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (CNN) – As the Obama campaign prepared to leave Pennsylvania behind, Obama Communications Director Robert Gibbs and Strategist David Axelrod showed up for the journey sporting twin T-shirts that said in large letters: "Stop the Drama, Vote Obama."

The shorts were not exactly campaign-sanctioned items of apparel — but typical of merchandise being sold all over Philadelphia Tuesday.

It's been a phrase that's been around a while, and even showed up in a Chicago press conference a few weeks ago in slightly mutated form when Obama supporter Gen. Merrill McPeak called him "No Drama Obama."

The only drama is watching Obama stutter and stumble when he tries to answer a question without a teleprompter.

Love the sense of humor…going to order a shirt right now to add to my collection! Go Obama 08!!!!

Patricia   April 22nd, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Remember those who vote for a Pit Bull, don't be surprised when she turns on you. She'd go for the jugular if she thought it would win her the White House!

Anonymous   April 22nd, 2008 8:45 pm ET

when will americans wake up? Obama is the man, the reason why he cannot win big states because they are run by whites. Blacks started voting during the Clinton administration. Now this election has shown the REAL Clintons (ruthless and power hungry). So Obama must work harder to prove he is the right man for the job. The only change you will see if Obama is next president.

eyeingtenure   April 22nd, 2008 8:48 pm ET

Stop the drama, at the very least.

The Democratic Party is ridiculous.

Richard   April 22nd, 2008 8:55 pm ET

Stop the Hypocrisy, and Vote for Hillary…

Hillary Is Our True Leader!   April 22nd, 2008 9:21 pm ET

Obama Idiots and their winless tactacts!

Theresa   April 22nd, 2008 9:29 pm ET

Hypocrisy is claiming to be ready to manage the country all the while running your campaign into $10 million in debt, failure to pay your bills, the insurance premiums of your workers.

Whining about being out spent? If she'd have had more money she'd have spent more. She already spent 10 mil more than she had. All you supporters have big mouths and are ready to spout off at the drop of a hat… Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and give your candidate the money she needs? Oh… She has $109 mil and she's one of us. Hypocrisy at it's best.

All talk and no action… Just like your candidate. Throw the kitchen sink and "scare the white people".

Grif   April 22nd, 2008 9:29 pm ET

Like the Capillary, vote for Hillary. Therefore, avoid the surface tension…. Life is Precious…

That's Reality   April 22nd, 2008 9:46 pm ET

STOP BEING INSANE; VOTE McCAIN
