The Clinton campaign is reporting a very successful fundraising day.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton's campaign says it is on track to raise $10 million online in the 24 hours since the Pennsylvania primary results were announced.

"Senator Clinton's game-changing victory last night has turned the tide and resulted in an historic outpouring of grassroots support," Clinton Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe said in a statement. "Just like Hillary, our supporters have met every challenge and come through each time. Thanks to them, we will have the resources needed to compete and win as we move ahead to the next contests."

The campaign also said over 60,000 donors - 50,000 of them new - have given money to Clinton from Tuesday night through noon Wednesday.

She got more money, Obama got more Superelegates! Money is not going to make up the delegate lead. Let's end this madness.

Bryce K. Dixon   April 23rd, 2008 7:07 pm ET

Do I hear and or see sour grapes, with all his money and the media in his cheering section, and the obamamites invading the nation and the web, the real question is why does she keep winning? and if you think "calling us racist and bitter and all manner of evil is going to get us to support obama, i don't think so....
I hope he and his supporters don't come to us in November, if he sould wins and ask for our votes... I know you won't get mine. I guess we will just have to see what the MAC as to offer.
The majjority of democrats are for Hillary, I hope your independents and cross-over repulicans spoilers, show up in November.... without all the Hillary supporters you all don't stand a chance against the Republicans.... so now there now.

How you doing?

Hillary or Die 08

Bridgette   April 23rd, 2008 7:05 pm ET

She is such a liar that I just don't believe it. I don't believe she has that money. She can't manage her campaign and she has definately proved that she can't budget money. Where is all of this experience she has because it is not showing in this campaign.

Isabeau   April 23rd, 2008 7:04 pm ET

I just want to say that it gives me hope to see that not all of the elderly (myself included) have been taken in by Hillary's tactics. She has the audacity to accuse Senator Obama of a negative campaign when he said he wanted to run a positive one.. yet she has never stopped throwing stones and piling on the lies and ripping apart a goo person... for HER glory, she and husband Bill want to get back into the White House. Not for the people, but for their own pride. Today I am looking at a man who for the first time since JFK actually inspires and promotes hope and change. I believe a piece of our country died with President Kennedy, and now it is seeing some new light and that is not coming from another 4 years of Clinton/Bush government. Obama has strengths and the heart, and faith in America that we can be great again. Even the Brits only see Obama as a contender, the whole world will be affected by our choice. Our only choice to make our country the nation it once was is to join forces with a man who wants this to be OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE... not another Clinton or McBush who wants to be the King instead of the President.. oops sorry Hillary.. the Queen. Even though you are trying to act like you will be the man of the House!

Glad she got the dough. Maybe she'll pay her bills now.

LW   April 23rd, 2008 7:03 pm ET

Just keep giving your hard-earned money to this woman. Did you forget that she and Bill have made over $109m since leaving office? And Bill just organized a trade agreement w/Columbia that gave him another hefty sum. What anyone sees in this pair, I can't imagine. They both stare straight @ you and tell a bold-faced lie. As for the former Pres., there are many serving prison terms for lying under oathe, like in the Lewinsky investigation. He was impeached and w/in a few votes of being thrown out of office! Yet he is a "rock star" for the Democratic party? BTW, I'm one of those white, female, single over 60 voters, who for the first time will be voting for Sen. Obama. That is, if Bill & Hillary don't figure out how to change the rules in their favor!

Dal   April 23rd, 2008 7:02 pm ET

Time and again, she has produced 100% of the result with 25% of the money. It's time she receives the backing she deserves – she's a President we can believe in.

Obama is now complaining about Hillary pointing out that he can't stand the heat while saying she complains more. That's pretty mature.

I read that the Clinton circus is $10million in debt..
So, here we have a candidate who mismanages her campaign, who lies to voters, who has some serious conflict of interest issues that have not been addressed......The list of negatives is endless.
Who in their right mind would vote for this individual.

Jax   April 23rd, 2008 6:54 pm ET

What a complete waste of money on the part of all candidate! This is obsurd. If we added up all the money spend on these BS campaigns we could put a dent in debt we have with China. Or buy everyone a free tank of gas!!!! :)

Aussie Pork   April 23rd, 2008 6:54 pm ET

Can someone please explain to me exactly why Florida and Michigan delegates aren't being included? Why did they go early? Who made them do it? Why?

Surely those primaries should be held again? How can a system be fair if the voters of two states are not counted? It isn't democracy, that is for sure.

Now, at such a late stage, if Obama won Florida surely Hillary would have to quit. It would be an emphatic victory and the Democrats could get on with the real business of trying to defeat McCain. If Hillary won then it would all come down to the Superdelegates. In any event we'd be a whole lot closer to a getting a fair result rather than the sham that we currently have.

Please explain how such a large state will not have their voters will included? This isn't a game, this is democracy. Many people have died defending this right.

John Smith   April 23rd, 2008 6:54 pm ET

People need to remember that even MCCain does not want to use "dirty tatics." I think I have heard him make several statements regarding this issue, given what he experienced in the hands of George Bush.

But all that Hillary wants us to believe is that there is a need to "fight" rather than negotiate; that there is a need to tel lies, rather than be honest; that there is a need to throw mud, rather than compromise. Well, this is Washington, as we know it- fight, blame the other party, and do not carry out any solution for this nation. Keep fighting, but when you go out there, be prepared to pay $4 at the pump; expect your job to close down, and expect to pay more for food and insurance. Just keep fighting, see if these fights resolve any issue for this nation!!!!

I am amazed that Hillary Clinton has the gust to shout about her victory and she turns around to call herself the underdog having entered the race as the 'Princess'. What a drama, it reminds me of the story of the dubious emperor in the Russel Crowe's movie The Gladiator. Mark my words, the only thing Hillary will gain out of all of this is shame even if she wins the november elections.

She took money for presidential pardons in two different schemes with her two brothers...you never hear about it on the news but it says a lot about the person.

Hillary supporters...what are you thinking let alone Donating money for? She is lucky not to be in jail....and people who don't know better follow her like sheep. You cannot honestly disregard everything she has done...

Responding to the poster that alluded to Obama as a whiner.

Clinton is the whiner. EVERY DAY!

Why can she get away with it and paint it all over Senator Obama?

Any Clinton supporter is wasting their time and money. She is only in it for herself. Has been for years. She cares not one wit about America as a whole. In fact, she is happy to start WW III and obliterate humanity from the planet.

Get a clue, folks.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT!   April 23rd, 2008 6:40 pm ET

She keeps on running out of Money and this is the person you guys want to run our economy? It makes sense. Good for her, maybe now we will not have to hear about how she was out spent.

Garrett   April 23rd, 2008 6:40 pm ET

Anyone worried about how Hillary has mismanaged her campaign need not worry about how she does as president. If you are old enough to have held down a job in the better share of the 90's you know full well how Mr. Clinton HELPED reduce deficits and fix our economy. Don't think Mrs, Clinton will be any different.

I know Bill is not running by the way but I also know that she is not far removed from the same policies that she learned work in our economy.

Hillary also knows how to deal with the spin machine that is the media. You all try to put her away and yet she stays around. She's sending the message late that she is more electable.

Ps. Cafferty and CNN, stop drinking the Obama Koolaid!

Charles - Texas   April 23rd, 2008 6:39 pm ET

The sad thing is, once Hillary Clinton finally surrenders to the realization that she has no way to win the nomination, all of the money donated to her campaign by everyday hard working Americas (who have been tricked into believing she can win) will have all been spent for nothing! Hillary needs to be honest with her supporters, stop wasting their money and stop wasting the Democratic Party's time!

dave   April 23rd, 2008 6:39 pm ET

It is probably Republicans donating to her.

Chanda-Cincinnati Ohio   April 23rd, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Is she for real? Its not the 15th of the month, I thought social security checks did not come out until the 15th of the month. Her base is middleaged- old, scared, nostalgic, white women who believe electing her will bring this country back to the economic standing it had during her husbands administration. Get over it people ...those days are long gone!!! The future of this country is speaking , and no one wants to listen to them because they say they are too young to know anything. While we jack up the country, they are the ones who will have to deal with it after Hillary and McCain are dead and gone.

Anthony 02   April 23rd, 2008 6:38 pm ET

She is only raising enough money to pay herself back (with interest)! Why would you give her any money? No worries, this fundraising will fuel Obama supporters to raise money, so in the end she will have $0 (due to debt) and he will have $50 million.

GL   April 23rd, 2008 6:33 pm ET

How many of the donars are republicans. Pretty shrewed investment on their part, as McSame will destroy her in the GE.

Question is will she do the right thing and pay the people she owes, or will she mismanage this windfall, as she has her campaign, and remain in debt?

Typodi   April 23rd, 2008 6:33 pm ET

Ric
FYI Clinton is NOT Ahead in the popular vote.

Here's what they have done - the Clinton campaign have taken the roughly 215,000 net votes Clinton gained in Pennsylvania, and added them to the popular vote count that includes the unsanctioned contests in Michigan and Florida, and excludes caucuses in four states. How's that for inclusiveness?

It gets worse. That Michigan vote estimate? Obama wasn't on the ballot. If you count the "uncommitted" votes for Obama - all of them anti-Hillary votes, remember - that would add 237,762 votes to Obama's total.

Which means that in Clinton's world, Clinton is ahead in the popular vote ONLY IF you exclude four caucus states, IF you include two unsanctioned states, and IF you "disenfranchise" every voter in Michigan who voted against Hillary Clinton.

So I wouldn't get too excited about it.

Chris in Va.   April 23rd, 2008 6:32 pm ET

So after she pays the $9 million she owes she has netted $1 million, don't spend it all in one place!

People Trust Obama   April 23rd, 2008 6:29 pm ET

100% of Obama's money comes from the people. So he will owe THE PEOPLE in the end, not some Drug Company or Special interest Corporation . She has run her campaign finances into the ground and is in debt. $10 million, he has not.

If THE PEOPLE have Given Obama Money Now and trust him, more than they trust her with there finances then they won't mind paying taxes, as much, if He is President because they know he will spend it only towards the well being of the country.

To remind everyone... countries won't mind lending us money and working with us becuase they know he will actually pay it back ON TIME and work towards solutions, not instigate problems or want to fight everyone like Hill.

She says she want's peace but all she can talk about is fighting, even if they are on her team

Shame on you Hillary.

Mia   April 23rd, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Does that mean that now she will pay those small business owners?

mk   April 23rd, 2008 6:27 pm ET

Great post, Perri! I was beginning to wonder if people are not actually listening to and discerning the actions of the candidates. Both of the Clintons have been caught in so many lies, and the public either doesn't listen or regularly sweeps them under the rug. Hillary may have some experience (although she IS claiming most of that of her husband), but her CHARACTER makes for an extremely bad leader. Our nation's condition is too critical to get this election wrong. We just cannot afford a lying, ego-tripping, scandalous divider in the white house for four years.

One more thing – why would the general public be financing Hillary during a bad recession when the delegate math will never work out for her? Sounds like money in the garbage to me.

Rich   April 23rd, 2008 6:27 pm ET

Is that "10" as in "9.2" rounded up to "10" like for the Pennsylvania primary? Got to love the math there: round Hillary's percentage up and Obama's down and then subtract to get 10; next claim you've won a decisive double-digit win.

And don't forget yesterday when Clinton portrayed a 2.1 spending difference as 3 to 4 times as much. But as much as we say "do the math," it's not about math at all. Hillary's response in the last debate when accused of lying was, "I may be many things, but I'm not stupid." Which as I read it translates to, ~'I may be a liar, but I think I'm smart enough – or you're stupid enough – not to catch on or care.'

Eric Thornley   April 23rd, 2008 6:27 pm ET

CNN please post the comments of this 80 year old:

Perri has well said. I am a 80 year old male and I feel ashamed of Clinton trying to woo the old voters, rural voters, blue color voters, white voters, female voters, 45+ voters, below 100000 USD voters. Shameful that clinton is winning all these voters.

Lonnie H.   April 23rd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

It's sad when racism plays a major role in primary and general elections. It's sad when 89% of blacks vote for Obama in PA; a large majority of them only doing so because he's black. And it's sad when Clinton gets support from racist individuals who will vote for Mickey Mouse to be president before they vote for Obama. And the elderly know that this election process really does not affect them as much as it does those in the younger generation, so they vote for the name their most familiar with. A large number of elderly individuals don't even pay attention to politics anymore. Sad indeed....

Liars Liars Hillary's pantsuits are on fire

Give all your money to a liar

Chris N in PA   April 23rd, 2008 6:11 pm ET

Perri Natalizo, I say amen to your submission . I am also catholic and they lie thatg we don,t support Obama.

CNN, you may or may not post this. It doesn't matter and it won't change a thing. He will be President.

Patrick   April 23rd, 2008 6:10 pm ET

Thanks to the Clintons for the past 8 years of Bush. Due to lying, Bush was able to run on the VALUES concept. Let's reward them!:)

Patrick   April 23rd, 2008 6:09 pm ET

Does anyone realize the entire reason we had Bush for 8 years was because Bill Clinton helped to lose the faith and trust of the American Public? Oh how short term memories we have. Thanks to the Clintons for the past 8 years. It allowed Bush to run on a VALUES model and it worked. Thanks again Clintons.

Thompson   April 23rd, 2008 6:08 pm ET

Good, because she will need it. Maybe she can increase her attacks on Obama. I like Hillary, but supporting Obama. I just hope she can convince her supporters to vote in November for Obama. I'm afraid Hillary has created such a division that it will cause and migration of Clinton loyalties to the GOP. It's a shame that she has caused such decisiveness in the DEM party that it will hurt our chances to win the November election.

Chris N in PA   April 23rd, 2008 6:07 pm ET

Big deal!!! LOL.

EG FROM TORONTO   April 23rd, 2008 6:07 pm ET

GOD BLESS YOU PERRY NATALIZIO, FOR TELLING IT LIKE IT IS.I DO BELIEVE HILLARY CLINTON APPEALS TO THE SINISTER ELEMENT OF OUR SOCIETY, MEAN SPIRITED, CHEATING, CUT THROAT OPPORTUNISTS,... PEOPLE WHO CAN'T THINK FOR THEMSELVES AND INTELLIGENTLY DIGEST THE FACTS, BUT RATHER HAVE SOMEONE FEED THEM PAP AND ENJOY IT, BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS IT'S REALLY CAVIAR.

Hillary...2nd place isn't the end of the world.   April 23rd, 2008 6:07 pm ET

Well they should raise 10 million, seeming that Obama's planned work..him out spending her causing her to go bankrupt...genius...

Spin that hillary supporters!
ha ha ha

Peter, Houston Tx   April 23rd, 2008 6:06 pm ET

If she can raise $10 million in 24 hours, why is her campaign neck deep in debt? She's going to sink even lower in Indiana with her dirty tactics. I can't wait for the mug slinging to begin even though I know Obama will prevail in the end.

akaDoug   April 23rd, 2008 6:06 pm ET

Too bad she is still behind in delegates, the popular vote, the number of states won, as well as money raised... But she's so much closer, those 12 delegates only make her 130 behind...all she needs to do is have 11 more Pennsylvania's and she'll be ahead:)

Go Obama!

Cathy   April 23rd, 2008 6:05 pm ET

Elizabeth you should show more respect for older people. Is this how you talk to your parents or grand parents.

RC - Md   April 23rd, 2008 6:04 pm ET

I am a Obama supporter and if the DNC take the nomination away from Senator Obama , I will not support the democratic party. This is not an emotional statement. If Senator Clinton had run a positive campaign and had the pledged delegates and popular votes required , then I would have supported her.

It bothers me that she lied about being under sniper fire in Bosnia and it was all a lie. She continues to be devisive. Kitchen sink, and wink wink.

Why isn't the media asking for the Clintons 2007 income taxes(where funds come from) .

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathleen   April 23rd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

Let's change the rules again, just so that I can win. You all know that I deserve it. It's mine. No one can have it. Give it to me.

Lawrence for barack   April 23rd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

just to let you guys know, she cant beat BARACK OBAMA sorry!

Ryan, New York, NY   April 23rd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

Keep dumping your money down the drain, people.

I wonder if the same people donating are the same ones playing the lottery, because they're using the same "tax on mathematically challenged" logic to spend money on impossible odds of winning.

The only way Hillary pulls this off is by changing the rules originally set out by the DNC. Back when she was the inveitable nominee, she didn't care about these rules that suddenly are so important. She didn't care that states weren't "winner take all," now she wants to claim that if they were, she'd be winning.

Please drop out for the good of the party, and while you're at it, don't bother to run for the Senate in my state again.

Yes She Will   April 23rd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Why you people are so bitter and hateful. You don't even know Senator Hillary other than through biased media information. Both Senators deserve respect. These two (three) people I think genuinely are trying to serve our country. They don't deserve these stupid outrage from the people they try to serve. I admire their courage and dedication. I know for sure that can 't handle this kind pressure if I am in their shoes. I am sure all you bloggers can't either.

May the best person wins!!

Red Dog from ND but now in Floida   April 23rd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Bayou Joe   April 23rd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

The radicals have taken over. Let's all switch to McCain in the Fall.

Cindy in California   April 23rd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

How is she going to keep our country out of debt when she can't even keep her campaign out of debt?

Ray in JAX   April 23rd, 2008 5:59 pm ET

Good! Now maybe she can pay some of her bills or will she choose to pay herself back first! Doesn't matter, Obama will win this election either in 2 weeks or 2 months and then Hillary and Bill can go back to whatever state they now call home! Can't happen soon enough!

End the drama, Vote Obama!

OBAMA OBAMA

Anonymous   April 23rd, 2008 5:57 pm ET

GO HILLARY!!!! She is BY FAR the best candidate. She is brighter, more capable, more well spoken, more seasoned, and more ready for the job. Obama has such a HUGE ego that he can't take the VP slot for the good of the democratic party. He has a perfect opportunity to get the experience necessary to be more than a bunch of hot air, and refuses to take it because of his pride. He is absolutely lying when he says he is still in it for the good of the party. He is in it because he wants to be president, at any cost.

Nanc, MN   April 23rd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

WOW – Amazing amount of outrage and viciousness from Obamabots today. Just when you all think it's all tied up with a nice bow, Hillary comes back and kicks you in the shins again. Thanks for giving me a good giggle.

carlos   April 23rd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

the question is. Who will beat the republicans?

William Courtland, Waterford, Ontario   April 23rd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

The parties makes it cost this much.

The State Legislation selects the electors for the office of the President.

The Federal legislation has no place in the election but for the final counting.

The people elect the State legislature, elect the Federal representatives and Senators, but the people have no direct connection to the President but what is provided by the party.

The Electors of the President are chosen by the State Legislature as they are not under direct influence or regard to the office of the President. The Electors are likened to non-bias human resource consultants who will select the President based on justified and related merits.

The people are only customers to a franchise and when complaining to customer service only the clerks or the store management can be removed; the final incorporated president is untouchable unless deemed incompetent by the board.

ABC   April 23rd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

Now I'm spotting comments (from the kiddies no doubt – they've got nothing better to do than sit online) about McCain and Clinton being too old.

Anybody that can go through the election process can take just about anything.

And McCain has come through things almost no one could. Have you ever read about just what they did to him in prison? I think he'll be just fine.

nitro   April 23rd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

What doe you need to raise money for if you are crying about how much Obama spent in Pa.

Barbara Campbell   April 23rd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

"Game-changing"? Yes, the stakes are even higher for Clinton because she didn't get the blow-out in Pennsylvania that she needed. She now needs 71% of the remaining votes to catch Obama.

Time for the superdelegates, and the media, to do the math.

Ian   April 23rd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Wow, a whole 10 million? Now she can finally pay off her debts.

Dori in AZ   April 23rd, 2008 5:53 pm ET

Donating to Hillary's campaign is like backing a losing gambler who keeps telling you to give her more, and she'll make you proud.

You give her everything you've got, and still have nothing to show for it....

Maybe you can feel better knowing that at least the gambler herself has had a good time!

Obama 2008!

Yes, Madam President, we are here and ready for this fight!!!

Pooh496   April 23rd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

Hillary made 10 mil and Obama lost 11 million in PA. Things are evening up. You know , it's no wonder you Obama people are losing. According to you Old people are either too old to change or Racist. That is completely prejudice. Someday you all will be older and see the error of your ways. Young people always feel that they are immortal. It just doesn't happen. Older people are smarter cuz they have seen it all.

Hillary is our next president. It's the story of the turtle and the Hare.

Go Hillary!!!!!!!

Shawn   April 23rd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

Hillary is a power house. She will be the next president of the US. And it seems as though Obama supporters and getting scared. The only thing she needs is the popular vote, which she already has. Because Obama and his supporters know that the DNC is going to seat the delegates from MI and FL. Obama will make a good VP or he can just enjoy his Senate Seat. 10million is 10million.

Clinton08 / Obama VP maybe, maybe not
but definitely Clinton 08

I'm female, white, 77years old, a catholic, active in democratic politics in Florida for the past twenty years – I worked hard for Bill Clinton's election- and I believe he did a great job as President – but I am ashamed of him now – and especially Hillary Clinton. who doesn't blink an eye when she lies – and the way she has tried to debase her opponent on every occasion is absolutely nauseating. The debate which was a trap for Obama (hasn't anyone read or listened to his magnificent speech on 'race.'? giving Hillary the opportunity to milk it until I wanted to throw my remote at the TV screen. I wonder if the hosts Stephanopoulos and Gibson were in cahoots with the Clinton campaign. They call her a 'fighter." – I call her a mean bully, the kind of person who will kick you until you fall, then lie, "I didn't do it – he started it first – A dangerous person to be leading our country in these trying times.

Brian from NYC   April 23rd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

And 5% of that 10 million will pay interest to the LOAN she LOANED herself! If Hillary is President it will equal 4 years of fighting, she'll listen to a presentation about Iran then go to war with them, and we'll be worse off then we are now! Of course most of the people voting for her probably won't be alive to see this, but they are 70 and older!

Troy   April 23rd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

Wow... now she can pay off part of her debt, HAHAHAHA! Hillary is such a JOKE.

If you Hillary supporters notice, the Obama supporters aren't worried. We know this will go to June at least. She won't stop damaging the party. She doesn't care about the people of America, and she doesn't care about you.

Unlike a lot of Hillary crybabies I will say that if she DOES somehow manage to buy this election through back-room promises and political games I will still vote for her as a protest against McBush. But mark my words, if it's Hillary she will lose dreadfully to McCain.

I'm not that worried about it, though. Obama will still win, Hillary will go back to being a slimy politician.

GO OBAMA! $42 million in the BANK!!!

This announcement just prompted me to donate....

to Obama.

I want to send a message to Hillary that I don't appreciate being talked down to, and I definitely don't appreciate her hypocrisy. On one hand she wants this to play out until the end "so everyone gets their voice heard" and on the other hand she wants that voice to be squashed because "Since i'm in the lead in the final states, I'm the most electable, so I should be the nominee."

John   April 23rd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

You have got to be kidding on the RCP thing right? I just went there. Only if you inlclude FL *and* MI (where Obama had no votes) does Hillary show a lead. That lead ~12,000 when an estimate of the caucus states is added in. Do you really think that Obama would get less than 12k in MI? What a joke.

HRC is nearly 600k behind by all reasonable measures and will only fall further behind before this think is over.

This is coming from a lifelong Republican who is considering a vote for Obama. I will never vote for Hillary.

Dr Jack B Zito   April 23rd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

It is not Hillary that extended the whole progression of problems for the Dems. Obama did not give his just due to the party first and "earn his spot" for the nomination. He tried to "elbow" his way in front of Hillary and upset the whole apple cart. If he was a VP for Hillary now, his stature and experience levels would rise so that he would be "deserving" of the nomination later. He is not ready for the presidency as Hillary has pointed out by her actions and speeches. I love Obama as a candidate for presidency – but only in due time. Right now is Hillary's time- she is tough and will face down the Arabs that are giving us problems in the Middle East. She will also fix our domestic and economic problems. Even against Russert, Matthews, and the Olbermans of the wold and millions spent against her- she WON !!! By 10 points too !!

What is going on? I wonder if it is Republicans who are donating to her campaign. Why would Democrats waste their money on her at this point? It doesn't make sense. She cannot win the nomination. Most Democrats want this phase of the battle to be over-it's the Republicans who want it to continue. I am very suspicious about this surge in fundraising. Will someone investigate?

In the long run, its the amount of votes that count not the amount of money. And as for all the continuous name calling of Hillary – you seem to somehow think she is fair game. Well guess what – we Hillary supporters will not forget how crude you people really are and if he turns out to be the nominee – well Obama supporters – you just lost the Presidency for him.

HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT!!! YEAH!!

I think everyone has made up their minds. If money had made a difference than why hasn't he sown this up? Maybe its because it just drives away more people when he and his supporters call white people racists? which he is himself.
In the end he is a loser anyway. All he can carry are blacks, the elite media, far way leftys. too many others out there.
Some of the left wing media looked sick and scowley last night.

He is too clumsy, too gloomy. Even he can't wear shiny jewelries or change bright wardrobs like Clinton, don't frawn so much. Please, Obama, be more relevant. No matter how much money you collect, what comes out your mouth matters the most.

Obama... Mr. "I have a problem with..." EVERYONE! He's such a whiner. He needs to go back to his play-pen for another term as Senator and THEN maybe he can claim to have what it takes to lead this country.

My husband and I support Hillary very much- we're not old.. we're not not progressive.... we're realists with a young family and a future to worry about.

'Nuff said.

Go Hillary. Make us proud again!!!!!

And yes, my husband and I have contributed to your campaign

Reid   April 23rd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

Say thank you to the media which gifted you your 10% victory. Forget about the fact that it was only an 8.6% victory! They have a monied interest in keeping alive the myth of a Clinton "victory" because it is more profitable for them. Nevermind the math, the delegate count, the popular vote, the number of states won, and the rules of the election. What is truly sad is all this money is going to be used to tear down the democrats nominee because Hillary cannot accept the reality of her situation. It sounds like another female temper tantrum on a national scale that drags everyone around them down so she can feel better about herself. Sound familiar gentleman? If a man were to act like this he would get punched in the face. You are right, a double standard does exist.

Bukky   April 23rd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

You're just paying to get her our of debt... she CAN NOT win the nomination. And if she does... this party with not get into the white house for another 8 years

Jeff - Schaumburg, IL   April 23rd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

Probably a waste of $10 million. North Carolina is expected to go heavily toward Obama. If the remaining SuperDelegates who haven't announced their support go 50/50, NC goes 55% to Obama, and Indiana is split 50/50, Hillary will need 77% of the vote in remaining states.

You can call her a fighter for staying in and damaging the Party when the odds were long against her and getting longer by the day. You can call her a fighter for sticking by a cheating husband. You can call her those things if you want. I'll call it the power obsession of a weak fool.

David   April 23rd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

Hillary is laughing all the way to the bank because she is getting her supporters to pay off the debt her campaign has incurred before Obama puts her away in North Carolina. Now she won't have to dip into her personal millions to pay the debt. If how she managed her campaign operation is any indication of how she would manage the Office of President, its a good thing she isn't going to be the nominee.
Obama 2008 & 2012!

CitizenJ   April 23rd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

Haha. I love how all these Clintonites are hoopla-ing about their fundraising.

I guess when you are operating in the red, a few million is a big deal.

Maybe she can actually afford to buy some advertisements now.

What I do not understand why would people give Hillary10 million dollars after a Pennsylvania victory in a state where she had ZERO chance of losing. I am an older white male so I can say this, race was an issue with the older people, The younger people get it, but they still do not come out to vote like the older folks. If they did this race would have been over a month ago. Why is is so hard for them to vote??????

I don't believe she raised $10million. This is another Clinton stunt, to make it seem like she raised more money, than she actually has. Did she give herself another loan?

Either way, it's money terribly spent. In two weeks, she'll be smoked in NC and IN, and it will all be over (officially) quickly, or slowly.

Pick your poison Senator Clinton.

This should be fuel for Obama supporters to raise a ton of money for April. This would show the Clintons they can never raise enough money even with all their elitist connections and old Washington money. All she is doing if pissing off more and more people who want to stop fueling the McCain fire.

Mark, Phoenix, AZ   April 23rd, 2008 5:27 pm ET

She has to get out. I'm tired of her and what she's doing to the party.

I used to support her, but we need new life in our leadership. We need Barack Obama!

The polls showed people without a collage degree and the old voters mostly supported Hillary.
So its fair to say:
No wonder some people DONT GET IT or SEE IT they lack knowledge therefore they are easily led kinda like cattle on a farm.
It's fair to say 'YA CANT TEACH OLD DOGS NEW TRICKS' thats why Hillary can Lie Lie Lie and these 'old dogs' will still vote for her cuz they want the same 'old politics'
Its the same 'old politics' why Gas is through the roof now $4/gal, your children will go to WAR in Iran (HILLARY SAID IT), the lobbyist and special interest groups will control the white house cuz the 'old politics' candidate (Hillary) is bought and you will lose your homes and your jobs shipped overseas!
Dont Come Crying!

I like how you guys aren't posting my longer contemplative entries, only a few of my short bitter sound bites. I have posted under nearly every Ticker article today, on nearly every subject, responding with thoughtfulness. I've noticed that immediately after I post now, comments are being closed for that article, with the statement, "your comments are being reviewed". Maybe my words are ringing too truly? Or maybe I am too educated and informed, and you're worried I'll make you look bad?

Maybe you're wondering how I'm posting so many posts? Am I an Obamacrat staffer or a whole team of them posting under a single email address?

Nope, I'm just a white 31-year-old grad student male at home studying for finals on a Wednesday. I like the Ticker, and after last night, I'm steamed.

The name calling and imaturity of the obama supporters is revolting – calling Hillary supporters stupid, racist and using demeaning terms to discribe a current sitting US Senator is really quite sad- The real negativity in this campaign I feel comes from the Obama supporters – I wonder why the people who supposedly support change in politics think what they say on-line is not part of the problem?

Kevin   April 23rd, 2008 5:23 pm ET

By the way, to the person that commented about Clinton "winning the popular vote", that includes FL and MI where the votes have been declared to be not eligible by ALL of the candidates back in October. So, you want to claim disenfranchising of the voters? How about all the hundreds of thousands that voted in caucuses that aren't counted towards the popular vote. Should they count? If so, the estimate is that this would give Obama a net of several hundred thousand votes. Now, how about MI. His name wasn't on the ballot, just as the DNC had requested, though conveniently Clinton forgot to have hers removed. So, she thinks it's a swell idea to count the votes for her from MI and none for Obama. Even just giving him the undeclared nets another several hundred thousand votes. All of a sudden she's back down by half a million votes. Isn't fact-based math fun...

Offbeatrock   April 23rd, 2008 5:23 pm ET

Hillary's campaign is full of liars. Who would believe that they raised 10 million in 24 hours. Come on, this was not an unexpected victory margin. By the way, they are hurting their own cause by making these false claims.

Teresa of Newport Bch   April 23rd, 2008 5:23 pm ET

The 24 hour, $10 million trick is for the unpaid bills she has made. People will you wake up. She's broke...if you all are going give $10 million make sure it goes to something useful and not to pay HRC/Bill personal debt.

I want a President who can manage their own expenses nto take my donations and squander it towards....whatever they want. I've made my choice. I will vote for the winning candidate with most delegate, popular vote and the one who can inspiring me and my family. Not look down me because I am different.

They always put this stuff out and then the reporting period comes (next one is after IN and NC) and, presto, no dough, no go!

Like Bill's denial of accusing Obama of "race baiting" caught on tape, even though I'm not from Missouri, "Show Me".

She is the one not only with the experience but the guts the grit the stamina, the brains to turn our mess around.
No time to waste to give to this novice with good oratory (when scripted) and a thin resume who will spend his term trying to please everyone from the left and dance around important issues without real committment and conviction (did he not stay in a church with a racist pastor for 20 years!!! where is his judgment????).

"Let substance prevail".......

The President-in-waiting is OBAMA!

Go for it, Hillary. You can do it. (The nay-sayers are just sucker-losers.)

Obama supporters: Do you really want your guy to win if he gets the nomination? If so, I would advise to cease the hateful postings about Senator Clinton and look for common threads and celebrate those.
Otherwise, he is going down in flames.
Fellow Clinton supporters, let us give this guy a look and see if he fits into the vision we see for America.
If not, McCain will stroll into the White House.
Extreme views on both sides will sink this country!

Kevin   April 23rd, 2008 5:19 pm ET

Sorry, but I don't buy it. That info provides only projections made by the Clinton campaign. Their complete lack of honesty and integrity makes it impossible to believe their press statements. When the FEC comes out with a number, I'll believe it. Their campaign has continuously exaggerated their fund-raising claims, always hoping that people will have forgotten by the 20th of the following month. Remember last month when McAuliffe claimed that nearly all $20 million that they raised was available for the primary? Well, as it turns out only about $7 million was. They pulled this same stunt in February when only about $12 million of the $35 million they raised was available. They hope that people have a short memory and forget their lies by the third week of the following month. Far cry from nearly all and exactly why I don't want Hillary anywhere near the U.S. economy.

justobserve   April 23rd, 2008 5:18 pm ET

Sorry, the best part is missing! Notice Obama's votes in MI is NONE. That is why when Clinton has MI added on, she has +12,506 more than he; but if the uncommitted of 238,168 is supposed for Obama then he had more than she.

Plus, Hillary supporters are sick and tired of hearing about race and sick and tired of Obama playing the race card.

It's getting bothersome that in 2008 we are still hearing about race.

You Clinton supporter are really drinking the kool-aid, Obama is expected to win Indiana, N. Carolina, Oregon, S. Dakota, Montana. Hillary's only chances are Kentucky and Virgina. She's out..... She can't catch up on the delegates. You Clinton supporters have a better chances of fantasizing the gas prices back to a $1.50 gal then fantasizing her into the presidency!!!!

Ohioan   April 23rd, 2008 5:16 pm ET

Its quite unfortunate that Semnator Clinton has more money to harm the party more than she has these past few months. She is unelectable and she is trying with all her might to make Senator Obama unelectable. If she suceeds, she will go down in history as destroying the Dems. What a shame...

Clinton is spinning again. She DIDN'T have the most popular votes. The data from realclearpolitics (notice votes for Obama stay the same
The popular votes don't include the caucuses in IA, NV, ME, WA.They are only estimates. The whole number sets:
State Date Obama Clinton Spread
Popular Vote Total 14,417,134 49.2% 13,916,781 47.5% Obama +500,353 +1.7%

Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA* 14,751,218 49.3% 14,140,643 47.2% Obama +610,575 +2.1%

Popular Vote (w/FL) 14,993,348 48.3% 14,787,767 47.6% Obama +205,581 +0.7%

Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA* 15,327,432 48.4% 15,011,629 47.4% Obama +315,803 +1.0%

The explaination * and ** are as follow:
*(Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine Have Not Released Popular Vote Totals. RealClearPolitics has estimated the popular vote totals for Senator Obama and Clinton in these four states. The estimate from these four Caucus states where there are not official popular vote numbers increases Senator Obama’s popular vote margin by 110,224. This number would be about 50,000 less if the Washington primary results from February 19th were used instead of the Washington Caucus results.)

**(Senator Obama was not on the Michigan Ballot and thus received zero votes. Uncommitted was on the ballot and received 238,168 votes as compared to 328,309 for Senator Clinton.)

Carolyn   April 23rd, 2008 5:12 pm ET

I am a Math Professor who has compiled all statistics that show that Obama fares better against McCain than HRC and he carries the BIG states versus McCain.
Obama wins the Big States against McCain including PA and furthermore wins SIX more States than HRC in this 18 state sampling versus McCain.
Obama wins 13 states over McCain, Ties 3 states, loses 2 states
Wins: NJ, MA, CA, PA, Maine, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Washington. Ties in Texas, NC, NH Loses in Ohio, WV.
HRC by contrast wins only 7 states over McCain, Ties 3 states, loses 7 states
Wins: PA, Ohio, NJ, CA, MA, Maine, WV. Ties in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon. Loses in Iowa, Michigan, NC, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, NH

Mike in NC   April 23rd, 2008 5:11 pm ET

To Sharon, Raleigh NC, you say you want a fighter in the White House? We have one. I'll give you a clue, he's unintelligent, arrogant, and wants to fight with any country that he can before he leaves office so someone else can clean up his mess. Do you know who I am talking about?

Jeff in Alabama   April 23rd, 2008 5:11 pm ET

Impressive victory results in a great fundraiser for the campaign! But that aside, must be incredibly frustrating for Obama to have out spent her 3 to 1 and can not close the deal. People just won't vote for someone unless they feel good about them. Super delgates, take note!

noemi in los angeles   April 23rd, 2008 5:11 pm ET

At last, the Clinton camp is getting out of debt! Hopefully...

People, is this really who we can trust with the U.S. economy? She can't even run her own campaign. Most of the people who donated to her camp are rich old folks. She may try, but she will never catch up.

The DNC and Super Delegates will want to see financial earning power to show the ability to raise funds for the general election........... she will have difficulty. This is just like corporate america folks.

Susan   April 23rd, 2008 5:10 pm ET

She makes me physically ill every time she opens her mouth. How do you tell she is lying? Her lips move.

Jim, Indiana   April 23rd, 2008 5:10 pm ET

We are 100% behind you Hillary and the superdelegates should recognize your victories the sooner the better.

Go Hillary!!!

Wayne   April 23rd, 2008 5:10 pm ET

The media likes a good fight. We all know that Senator Clinton was the inevitable canditate six months ago. Now, she is the underdog. What gives? Time will reveal that Senator Obama is a better candidate than Senator Clinton.

jon   April 23rd, 2008 5:10 pm ET

Keep fighting Obamania and the Obamedia. Those people are very, very scarey and bitter clinging to excuse and excuse on a liability branded nominee and one that can't seal the deal. November will be a nightmare without Clinton!

JW from Washington, DC   April 23rd, 2008 5:10 pm ET

this just made me donate more to Obama's campaign.

Susan   April 23rd, 2008 5:09 pm ET

She makes me physically ill every time she open her mouth. How do you tell she is lying..her lips move.

Wayne   April 23rd, 2008 5:09 pm ET

She raised 10M in a day. She also dodged sniper fire. Those cork screw landings are tough.

Do you believe a pathological liar? I dont.

Cynthia   April 23rd, 2008 5:09 pm ET

She needs every penny of it and more to continue to do her dirty politics.

Dennis   April 23rd, 2008 5:08 pm ET

Good for Senator Clinton. I hope she pays her vendors–you know the little guys she has left out in the cold that she is supposed to be championing?

Vince   April 23rd, 2008 5:08 pm ET

Just keep believing her lies that she can win and keep pouring your money down the hole. When it is all said and done and she loses just make sure you keep sending your money in to make sure we do not have a Mc Bush presidency.

typicalAmerican   April 23rd, 2008 5:08 pm ET

Way to go Hillary! We love you!

Theresa   April 23rd, 2008 5:08 pm ET

I am not for Hillary. I don't believe in her or a word that flies out of her mouth. I will say this, however...

It's about freaking time you all caps using, narrow minded little sheep finally put your money where your big fat mouths are. Your candidate is seriously in debt and she needs your cash! She's always had your hate spreading and fear mongering but now she has a little money to at least pull herself out of the hole.

If she got $10 million she's now at an even keel. Isn't she lucky?

B-Dog   April 23rd, 2008 5:07 pm ET

Hey that's just great! Pay off those debts and run your campaign into the ground taking the Democratic chances of a President with you! Just bloody fantastic! At a cost of $1 million per day to run your campaign that will get you through next week...with considerably more debt. Care to guess how the country will be run if her campaign is the cluster that it is now?

End the Drama...Vote Obama! No Obama = Go McCain!

End the Lies!

Rick from Bowie   April 23rd, 2008 5:07 pm ET

HRC is still in debt and like her husband–worthless! CNN simply extrapolated a lie about raising money yesterday ($500K in 2 hrs) so what. CNN, you put the story out there now validate it. Need to see some records. You'll find this too to be lie!!!

monica, rochester ny   April 23rd, 2008 5:07 pm ET

All that shows is that HRC supporters are perfectly happy throwing good money after bad. I have a bridge you can buy too, since you like making investments that won't pay off.

sh   April 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm ET

Well done Pensylvania, no wonder everyone is packing their shops and moving to other countries. Then you say NAFTA is bad. Remember who signed NAFTA and who was the cheer leader. It tells a lot how much these older generation and blue coller workers can be sucked into believing Hillary is going to work for them. Good luck lets see what happens in NC. If the donations payoff.

dguill   April 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm ET

HOW ABOUT THIS SPIN. LETS JUST SAY IF ALL THE PRIMARIES WERE HELD YESTERDAY WHO WOULD BE CONGRADULATING WHO. HE IS NOW AND WILL BE TO THE END THE OVERALL WINNER IN POPULAR AND DELEGATES.

Scott, Charlotte   April 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm ET

Sooo Hillary, when Obama wins NC by 15 %, what's the point of splitting Indiana ? You're farther behind than you were 8 weeks ago.
End the madness, stop campaigning for 2012, and try to save a little dignity.

Mike from Westchester   April 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm ET

Hillary supporters – just take the money and flush it down the toilet. That way you won't be helping screw up the chances of the REAL nominee. We are burning some $3 million per day just stretching this thing out. He's still 155 – 160 delegates ahead and you just used your big chip. The rest of the states will be a net plus for Obama.

Fortunately, I still believe that we can beat McCain in November, despite the damage being done. However, this money makes it worse – but its your to waste if you really want to. Just think about the real end result, please. Hillary will not win. Sorry, but that's the way it is. The campaign mismanagement ruined her chances two months ago. Reality is reality – not what you want it to be.

Obama 08! Yes we can!

Cheerboy709   April 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm ET

Sidney Poitier tells a story about his only creative input in the 1967 film In The Heat of the Night. During the scene where Police Chief Bill Gillespie (Rod Steiger) slaps Det. Virgil Tibbs (Sidney Poitier), Sidney insisted he slap Gillespie back. This was 1967 and a risky position. Sidney's reaction slap got in and it was the turning point in the film, the film industry and society. Maybe Mr. Obama should make a commercial out of this ground breaking scene and show it at a bunch of community senior centers.

Ambrose - Manhattan   April 23rd, 2008 5:05 pm ET

Hillary, you are the one that we want! You showed us yet again that you are super cool, calmed, and collected. This is your moment. Go Hillary. You can do this.

Jonathan   April 23rd, 2008 5:05 pm ET

I don't know what RCP you're reading Ric, but Obama is still up in the popular vote by 500,000. You can't seriously count Michigan if Obama wasn't on the ballot and even if you do count Florida (where no one advertised), he's still up by 200,000.
Hillary has to win close to 80% of the remaining Superdelegates to get the nomination even if she wins every single state other than North Carolina by 10 points.

Capt. Smash, Salt Lake City, Utah   April 23rd, 2008 5:05 pm ET

They never and I mean never do any substantive journalism or investigations any more. They get e-mails from the Clinton staff and give the media there talking points and just like puppets the media goes on the air and perform for her. Why won't hey ask her why voters should vote for her with her campaign over 10 million debt.

Obama is a master at raising money and runs his campaign with ruthless efficiency, I wonder if he will run the government the same way.

I wonder if the people who are supporting her, are still going to donate money. Even though she is going to blow it or misspent it on pastries, food and other frills. She and her husband have made over 109 million over the last six years from 2000 to 2006. They obviously do well handling their own personal income, why can’t they run their campaign with the same efficiency?

Some of her bills tell the story (one-time expenses)

Enterprise Rent-A-Car – $171,675
Hertz – $46,319
Bellagio hotel – $25,478
A-Plus valet parking – $918
Donuts – $1433
Subway – $2500
Hyvee supermarket – $96,079

Total over 8.7 million still in debt

HRC and the media have conducted themselves miserably over the past few weeks. It actually sickens me to see her smile after her disgusting performance. Sorry but that is how I feel. If she is such a good executive, why is her campaign out of money and and hurting so bad she has to play dirty rovian politics just to tread water? If she had been smart she would not have to lie or play dirty rovian politics and she would have had plenty of money. She is not presidential at all and not a good executive

Betsy   April 23rd, 2008 5:04 pm ET

You go girl!!! Let's do this!!

Mucci   April 23rd, 2008 5:04 pm ET

Paleeze! Can we really believe what her campaign says? Sure she will raise 10 mil in 24 hrs, just as she raised the 20 million. NOT!! I'm sure whatever number her campaign provides that TOO will be a LIE!!!

Sharon   April 23rd, 2008 5:04 pm ET

Capt. Smash, Salt Lake City, Utah   April 23rd, 2008 5:04 pm ET

John Smith   April 23rd, 2008 5:04 pm ET

Personally, I do not have any problem with Hillary. As I understand "personality disorders," she strongly believes that "there is nothing wrong with her." I work with these kinds of folks everyday- they abuse their spouses and blame their spouses for all the problems in the relationship.

My problem is with those who "fail" to see or recognize the psychopathology (a mental health issue) in this family! They continue to support the Clintons, totally blind to their "history" in this nation. Or probably blinded by wealth or the "image of a "fighter" and not a "peace-maker." God bless us all!!

Lonny, Seattle   April 23rd, 2008 5:03 pm ET

Maybe now she can pay her bills.

In her mind im sure she hasnt even thought about paying her bills, instead she is going to use it to further her mad plunge into ruining the Democrat's chances in the GE.

So she is basically throwing away her supporters money for something that she cannot mathematically or realistically achieve.

Uhh...That doesnt really sounds like someone I want running the country.

Iif she was so "in touch" with the people that gave her the win in Penn she would give it back to them because they will actually use it for something smart, like the mortgage...

Caferty Please Read   April 23rd, 2008 5:03 pm ET

Hillary has a website asking for money but she doesn't show you progress by each donor. That is how she will run the Whitehouse if ever she were to get in there (which I doubt more than ever).

On Barack's website, it s hows a ticker to each donor so I can check it every day several times and see how much closer we are to our goal. He gives you more information! That is how he will be in the Whitehouse. More information!!!

Cafferty! Why hasn't anyone brought up the three movies, Hillary Clinton The Movie, Hillary Clinton It's All a Big Lie, and The Clinton Chronicles? Every thing about Barack has been investigated, what about investigating Clinton for a change and giving her a taste of her own medicine?????????? Caferty please address this.

OBama 08!

Ostriches burying our heads in the sand   April 23rd, 2008 5:02 pm ET

Have you noticed how the clinton campaign has called the PA victory a 'game-changer'? How is a state where she had the support of the likes of Rendell and Nutter, whose demographics were tailor-made for her, where she had a twenty plus lead sometime back and she finally won by 9.3 points, a game-changer????

As for raising money online, good for her- atleast her supporters are sending her some money now. Barack's NEVER had to worry about that- I just donated again to him...We got his back....

Rob   April 23rd, 2008 5:02 pm ET

501demo   April 23rd, 2008 5:01 pm ET

Hillary is killing her own party by staying in the race, just give it up and generate the money you need to run 4 years down the road. We need change in america to get things going again, not another scandal or a Mathew Lawensky (ie. Hillary Affair). Bill watchout a women usually gets revenge!!!

It makes you wonder if Elections are pre-determine. If your bloodline can't be traced to the fake kings and queens of the past you don't have a chance in America.

Screw the election process 08

musicnme   April 23rd, 2008 5:01 pm ET

Clintons don't need money from poor working people. Why don't they pump in their own money. They have enough already ($105 millions for last 6 years and many more to come...they also got $5 million from Dubai recently). Share it with poor PA white working voters who voted for her. I wonder if she would......

We've had Clintons and Bush for last 20 years !! Too long!! They failed us. I am willing to give a chance to Obama. And Clinton Camps: stop playing "politics of Fear".....

MD in OK   April 23rd, 2008 5:00 pm ET

She only won by 9.2%age points. Barack Obama closed her DOUBLE DIGIT (and I am not yelling, just emphasizing) gap!!!! I used to think that she should stay in the race because it was her choice. But now I understand why she should get out. She is going to get really, really nasty; and this type of attitude will not bring congress together.

Hillary supporters she is simply not a uniter!

Babbs   April 23rd, 2008 5:00 pm ET

My Lord I wonder who she didn't pay or how much of that is favor money? The last I heard and read Clinton was in the red. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear when it come to Clinton and money.

Vic   April 23rd, 2008 5:00 pm ET

The whole Clinton Campaign is full of lies. i don't believe anything they say anymore. I'm an Obama supporter, i know he is going to win the Presidency it's just a matter of time. if somehow Hillary is given the nomination for the democrats, ill vote for John McCain Bush , at least that way i'll only get stabbed from the front.

Replay   April 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm ET

The best line about the Penn primary so far is still on Time's coverage: "The true winner of the Pennsylvania Democratic primary is John McCain." The Republicans have such a head start on the autumn campaign that I despair about how many attack ads McCain's people will have time to craft, unmolested.

But I'm personally getting ashamed of identifying as a Democrat, too. "We" can't cooperate on anything or get a thing done. If either Obama or Clinton dropped out at this point and supported the other, the Democrats could sweep the November election.

Instead, they'll fight like two cats in a sack. Hillary will drop out at the last possible second with the same bad grace she's run the entire campaign with, probably with comments regarding her hurt feelings. Obama will be savaged by both an increasingly opportunistic John McCain and smear ads created by right-wing xenophobe demagogues, as he wonders – as I am wondering – how and why on Earth anyone would or even could lead this sorry lot of partisan lunatics into some kind of effective leadership structure for the nation.

Less ego and more realization that there's actually a country to lead and govern at the end of all this hullabaloo would be welcome, on all sides of the fence!

shirley   April 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm ET

The game has not changed Hillary, Senator Obama was able to narrow the gap in Pennsylvania from 20 points to 10 points.

@americans   April 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm ET

yeah, $10 million – that Billary will use to pay back her debts and lobbyist!

you Hillary donors are suckers!!!

e forrest   April 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm ET

i wonder about the super delegates, they could have ended this ages ago, clinton just has to have her own way like a spoilt child, how many lobbyists are pulling strings behind the scenes, the young vote should tell people everything, they are ones who will have to fight for america if necessary, if hillary clinton is the one we have to rely to push the nuclear button heaven help us,she would scream for bill, and he would put an account in for doing it, as for diplomacy, forget it ,diplomats have to have credence, she dosnt , its all about her, shes a real "I" surgeon.

Noah   April 23rd, 2008 4:58 pm ET

Jeff, dont believe everything you read on-line. Hillary is doing fine, and I will be sending her 1000.00 today to make sure of that. Also, check your math, Hillary leads the "popular vote".

Why is it that the Obama supporters on line are so hateful? You make people hate your candidate even more when you call Clinton names and bash people who voted for her. You do not help him.

Be big enough to say Hillary won. Move on. Calling fellow democrats dumb and dismissing the work of both Clinton's is why you will have a hard time getting our support IF Obama wins the nomination. Try talking about issues, if you know what they are.

Alonzo Demetrius   April 23rd, 2008 4:58 pm ET

Yes, "let Hillary find comfort where she can" so she and B.O. will keep fighting through the Sep convention and all the Dem voters will change party.

Wayne   April 23rd, 2008 4:58 pm ET

More Americans have cast their votes for Hillary than Obama (via Real Clear Politics, this includes votes in FL and Michigan. In effect it's already giving Hillary a win in the popular vote). And now people are once again sending the money into Clinton's campaign. I donated this morning, and was really proud to do so. Hillary is a fighter, and we need that. Our countries enemies are not going to be disuaded by pretty words. We need a fighter, not a talker for President. Hillary Clinton will be that president.

Perhaps the economy is weak because everyone is throwing money into bottomless pits such as these?

Hillary   April 23rd, 2008 4:57 pm ET

You know what Hillary is the best candidate, lets look at her campaign for example. She is 10 million in debt and had to fire more of her staff than any other candidate. I think her campaign should be an example of how she would run the country, and since her campaign has been run with amazing integrity, leadership, and great money management, I deem Hillary the best candidate...NOT! LOL!

NewMexicoForObama   April 23rd, 2008 4:56 pm ET

At that rate the avg. donation was $167.00. 60,000 people on average donated $167.00. I find that hard to believe. I wonder if her campaign ever lies about things?

Although 10 million may be a bit inflated, my friends have rejioced and donated the maximum limits possible. I too have for the first time donated. The right, left, and media is pounding her for every word she, someone in her camagin, or someon ewho supprtos but is not affiliated with her says. The Internet has been spread with lies that may lead to her downfall. The Right couldn't take Hillary down in the 90's, so Barrack and 51% of the Democrats did it for them.

Just Thinkng   April 23rd, 2008 4:54 pm ET

Money isn't her only problem. There is no way she can win in the general election, if she can’t get members of her own party to vote for her.

She talks about how the democratic party would suffer a great defeat if we disenfranchise Florida and Michigan, but that is exactly she is attempting to do with the 15+ million voters that have come out and stood in long lines, in the heat and the cold to vote for Obama. What is the Democratic Party to do without them?

Additionally, once Black Americans voted in large groups as republicans, and since they made switch they have been if nothing else loyal to this party. This may be just the break the republicans need to make inroads with a group whom up until this point have remained so far out of reach. What do you really think would happen if the dems. changed the rules and gave her the nod, despite the fact that she lost by every measure that they proclaimed to be important before the race.

Well, if I was McCain I would ask Rice to be my V.P. and walk thru the door that the dems. left wide open.

OBAMA MUST LEARN TO DEBATE IF HE IS HOPING TO BEAT MCCAIN..

AJ, Philly   April 23rd, 2008 4:54 pm ET

Let the Hillary-supporters throw their money behind Hillary. Hillary is going to use their money to run hard in Indiana and pay off her campaign debt.

The 9pt margin of victory in PA only nets Hillary at most 12 pledged delegates which drops Obama's lead in pledged delegates from 164 to 152 and drops his popular vote lead from 700,000 to 500,000.

With Indiana (next door to Illinois) and North Carolina two weeks away, Obama will concentrate his effort on these two states to be his final firewall. If Obama takes both states on May 6th, the remaining states will look easily predictable. Final count April 22nd and after wins; Obama 5 and Hillary 3 with both splitting one each of the non-states votes (Guam & Puerto Rico).

DF   April 23rd, 2008 4:54 pm ET

The fundraising is fantastic for Hillary and America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The amount will triple and more by the end of the month because America wants her to stay the course. We need a person with substance and not hot air and talk.

The senior voters understand because they have see it all over the years. Inexperienced and young voters will learn as the mature in the political game that talk is cheap but actions go a lot farther.

Linda of Atlanta   April 23rd, 2008 4:53 pm ET

Clinton is a pathetic representative for women! She is not running on her own. Without Bill Clinton campaigning 24/7 for her she would have been out of the race. Unless people want him selling us down the tube to the people and countries that have made him a multi-millionaire, they need to keep their money and possibly the few jobs they have now.

Joe   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

Fact of the matter is when an election is this close it will be impossible for either candidate to reach 2,025 delegates so what they end up going by is superdelegates. Who ever has the most superdelegates will win.

Martha   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

The huge Democratic Staes are flooding her with cash. I just love her attitude. She will be the very best candidate for our Party.

What a wimp,BO is afraid to debate her. Just too funny. He is really afraid he cannot trust himself to answer simple questions. Why should anybody trust him. He comes with good references from South corrupt Chicago, Boo Boo Obomba. He needs to bow out now. He needs to go back to his very important job of signing up voters (community organizer) lol.

For the Republicans that keep posting boring lies you are arfaid of her too. Certainly proves you have not read President Clinton or Hillary Rodham Clinton's books. They are really thick and pretty in depth for the advanced readers.

Adam in Indiana   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

Stop calling older voters racist. Just because they are more informed then Obama cult members doesn't mean they are racist. It means they are smart. Your candidate has the most idiotic tax policy I have ever seen. He's an easy target for the Republicans. He can't get the votes of blue collar workers. Keep bashing those who don't vote blindly for a candidate who has done nothing to bring together the parties, but all you'll do is drive their votes to McCain if Hillary doesn't win.

dan, NC   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

Oprah must contribute more now....lol.

Angelo   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

Finally the people are coming to realize that Hillary is the only real choice if there is to be any chance of beating McCain.

A. Harrison   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

INDIA CALIFORNIA FOR BARACK OBAMA

Give us a break. The OBAMA people probably fed you this. Please present the experience that your candidate has vs hers.

Ian   April 23rd, 2008 4:52 pm ET

I'm an Obama supporter- and we Obama supports need to give this Clinton bashing a rest. She's running a competitive campaign, and the longer she stays in this, the more Democrats register to vote in these exciting contests. I personally don't like her, I think she runs a campaign more similar to George Bush's than Barack's, but at the same time people must obviously see something in her if they are going to be placing votes for her in a contest where she's on the edge of being completely vanquished. Let's just hope that if she does get elected, she can actually deliver on some of her reform ideas better than she has on health care over the past 15 years.

Mimi   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

I don't believe for a minute that she raised that much money and any money she does raise, is already owed to paid debts. If people were really giving she would not have to constantly give her email address. They can spin and lie all they want, bottom line is Barack is in the lead in every way that counts in the democratic party.

Lisa in NC   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

I'm so tired of listening to Obama supporters criticize Hillary. I'm not going to bother posting all the goods on Obama. Anyone that can listen to him lie about his relationship with his minister and believe him is a fool. Oh yes...sorry...he has now "disowned" him so we shouldn't talk about that.

I support Hillary but if she doesn't get the nomination I will support Obama regardless. This is because I feel so strongly that we need a democrat in the whitehouse. That is much more important that any personal issues I have with the man.

Get a grip people. Get over it!!!!!!

lolo in nc   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

Sure she has ...."show me the money"

voice of reason, NC   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

It is not a bluff. Good job Hilary. At least we know the contributions are not from some terrorist cell masquerading as small organizations.

Keep up the fight!

PRM   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

I don't think that you can call anyone who is willing to stand up for the post of President of the United States Pathetic, as noted by Mary, and nor do I think you can rule her out also. People should hold back such insults to any candidate and get on with the main issues that is resulting in a country to be more now in the red from the past 8 yrs of Bush ADminsistration then all the prior presidents and their administration in total.

Also, if people are going to site for facts that items are fake/false Lies, could you please note where your factual information is coming from, are you aware of all conversations that either Hillary, Barrack or John have had with members of congress, senate or foreign heads or their administration...Again enough of the slanging match and lets unite under the big issues that confront this country.....

ju NY   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

I will never wates my money to for Hailly. she will not win. she will use the money to pay her bills. Is because Obama is not negative if he is negative he will expose Hillary very well. she is a big liar.
Just drop out of the race.

Jesse   April 23rd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

~

Better question is how much money do we have to raise to get rid of her

Clinton is a LIAR and will take the low road any chance she gets... case in point the negative 911 / Bin Laden add she ran.

Pathetic!

Rob K   April 23rd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

All that means is the Clinton Campaign can pay back the debt they incurred BEFORE Pennsylvania. The Campaign is broke, and this is just a smoke screen...kinda like their entire campaign at this point.

Ratgurl   April 23rd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

All MAXED OUT donors hoping to get Bill back in the white house. When will she realize that the majority of her supporters are voting for her husband, and not for her?

GO HILLARY.....YES YOU WILL!!!

TIME FOR THE SUPERDELAGATES TO STEP TO THE PLATE   April 23rd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

To the Superdelagates, please put this lady out of her misery and send her home.

I'll start the drum beat on this:

In order for Clinton to stat in this race she needs to win NC by ten points. Anything less and she needs to quit. NC is one of those "big" states that Clinton keeps referring too.

An Agnostic Democrat   April 23rd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

Didn't we hear different figures for March, too, only to find out she was in deep doo-doo debt and hadn't payed her bills? What a shame to have an even bigger liar spinning the dollar amount. I'm ashamed to see a former chairman of the DNC be such a rogue along with the lie as they breathe as they spin Clinton circus mobile.

Jerry Brown   April 23rd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

The people who post such negativity on your sight is unbeleivable. I am a die hard once and for all Clinton supporter. I am not going to vote for Obama in the General Election only for Clinton–should she be nominated. I am a white professional from California who might be considerred an elitist. Surprise Surprise But I do not go and publicly say negative things about Senator Obama. Get a life and lighten up folks–and respect each of the candidates and your fellow voters..

Bob, NY   April 23rd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

I'll bet the first 3 million went to pay back the loans from Bill's Middle East speech fund..., at 10% interest rate of course..

Foreign observer   April 23rd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

Lost money ! She could have raised this from her wallet ! But she doesn´t because it´s easier to spent foreign money !

Matt   April 23rd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

A stunning turn of events!

christoph   April 23rd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

give us a break, hillary! no matter how much money you raise, you're still a slimebag!!!

Enough   April 23rd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

She can raise 10 gazillion dollars in 2 hours and it won't change the numbers. Her expected win last night didn't change the numbers enough to make a difference.

Jeff Illinois   April 23rd, 2008 4:48 pm ET

The Republicans will stop at nothing... so neither should you. Whatever it takes. No need to worry HRC. Many of us who have been around for the last elections understand exactly what you need to do and proudly support you for doing it. It is time for another donation to Hillary. If the rest of the party wants to elect another McGovern, they will do so at their undoing. It is either you, or we will help destroy the Democratic party as we know it today. After all the lost elections, the McGovern's the Obama's etc, it might be exactly what we need to do.

Lwanyaga   April 23rd, 2008 4:48 pm ET

I dont think anyone is gonna believe 10 millions , they know that money is their weakest link. Clinton Camp. is trying to fool everbody around, but we will see what they have to say when they file in the next earnings

Virginia from PA   April 23rd, 2008 4:48 pm ET

That almost brings her out of debt, right?

Tan in Dallas   April 23rd, 2008 4:48 pm ET

I think she can achieve that goal pretty soon. I've personally donated 4 times and each time $100. I'm going to continue to give until she wins!!

Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa   April 23rd, 2008 4:47 pm ET

If Hillary is so high and mighty about health care, then why doesn't she provide health care for her campaign workers????

Just something to think about.

neocon3   April 23rd, 2008 4:47 pm ET

Just keep up the one sided support CNN

theresa in Prattville   April 23rd, 2008 4:46 pm ET

Concerned Voter   April 23rd, 2008 4:46 pm ET

the voters have spoken !

me   April 23rd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

wow the more I read these post the more I realize how bitter some Obama supporters are. To each its own. I donated 50 bucks(i'm a college student) to her campaign last night so I do not see why others couldn't have. I support her based on the issues not race or gender. I really hope all Americans really do their research and not just listen to speculation and speeches. Whether you are for Obama or Clinton I respect you as long as you can at least name one issue that concerns you and know what both candidates have to say about the issue.

Hillary Will Win   April 23rd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

To all you Obama supporters. Why is that Obama can't win any BIG states? That's because people don't TRUST him.

More lies intended to "convince" the spineless superdelegates that are out there.

MoreThan10million   April 23rd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

Do you see us now, CNN? Or are we still invisible to you?

Scott   April 23rd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

She's out of her mind. She needs to win 60-40 the rest of the way, and that's including winning 60-40 in the remaining superdelegates, which she won't and she can't. Her stubbornness is obnoxious. I'm not even a big Barack fan and I think she's acting so pitifully stupid right now.

Toni - Atlanta   April 23rd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

Maybe now the campaign can establish good credit by paying its bills!

In oregon and want change   April 23rd, 2008 4:44 pm ET

That has got to be a lie,
or they found a way to stuff the people with NAFTA their promise to keep NAFTA going once elected so they probably donated big time
they don't care about PA they are already going on about who to lie to next to try to get their vote and just ditch them too.

Jake Jamahl, Atlanta   April 23rd, 2008 4:44 pm ET

I would have the FEC look into the real numbers. Truth and truth in numbers are NOT something that come out of the Clinton camp.

The napalm tactics coupled with begging for $5 like a late-night preacher with a Rolex have all the dignity of a.....republican campaign.

It’s NOT for the American people or the Democratic party but for the Clinton EGOs!

Count your 30 pieces of silver Hillary as you've sold your soul to the "right wing conspiracy", the republican attack machine and Bush/McCain...

jonny   April 23rd, 2008 4:44 pm ET

If you look at Obama's website, they post the number of people who have donated, and the numbers are going up very fast. No dollar amount is shown, tho it would be interesting to see a comparison between the two.

Christine Pereira   April 23rd, 2008 4:44 pm ET

Don't be harsh on Hillary after all SHE WILL BE THE NOMINEE FOR 2008 AND WILL WIN.

b-liberal   April 23rd, 2008 4:44 pm ET

I am donating again! There are a lot of quiet Americans out there that don't get on here and spew hate-speech. But we know how to vote. And even when groups are "eliminated" (FL and MI) it just makes the rest of us madder. And I will not vote for someone I think is just lying fluff.

Go Hillary – fight the deceptive, rich, connected, ivy-league, elite, negative, cult leader.

tom   April 23rd, 2008 4:43 pm ET

Good, now she can off her debts of $10 million. Read where she owes mark Penn, $4 million. Hope she pays him first as he has done her campaign such a great service.

Dany   April 23rd, 2008 4:43 pm ET

Hooray Hillary! This is great!

Americans are rallying to send you money so you can pay all those bills owed to poor hard-working people for whom you fight!!

Oh, and the $4.5 mill to Mark Penn too.

ANOTHER TRICK THAT WILL NOT WORK. IT IS IN HER DNA TO MAKE UP STORIES AND THIS IS ONE OF MANY.

mary in new york   April 23rd, 2008 4:42 pm ET

Why can't Obama close this thing? Because people are starting to get that Obama talks a good game but in reality his is nothing more than an empty suit. Some people might not like Hillary Clinton, but she is the Democrats only chance to beat McCain. Obama has demonstrated he can't take the heat. HRC, on the other hand, is a fighter, who has already proven that she can withstand more than the GOP can throw against her in the fall. Obama looked like a pouty little boy at the debate. HRC wiped the floor with him. McCain will do the same in the fall when people really start thinking about his lack of experience and the company he keeps. Wake up people! HRC is the democrats only hope.

Chris   April 23rd, 2008 4:42 pm ET

She's gonna need every penny...she drove her own campaign into debt! Geez I wonder what she'll do for our country; maybe put it more into debt???

That ten million will just cover the overdue bills that have come in from the last 2 months. Good Luck!

Jeff - Dallas   April 23rd, 2008 4:41 pm ET

It's good if they raised 10ml. Last I read they had 9ml in debt, so they are a shade above the game. It still doesn't compare to Obama's war chest, or his lead in the popular vote, or his lead in pledged delegates, but let Hillary finf comfort where she can.

Jim from Seattle   April 23rd, 2008 4:41 pm ET

OPERATION CHAOS is a SUCCESS!

Dumb democrats, keep up the fighting. Hillary is the one to go up against McCain. Just imagine it 2 old people (just make sure there'e enough Ensure and Billary takes her hormone pills for the hot flashes and mood swings), one pushing a Bush 3rd term and the other pushing a Clinton 3rd term.

Great, America don't want change. We like more of the same. War War and more War, Foreclosure Foreclosure and more Foreclosure, Higher gas prices Higher gas prices and finally $5 a gallon gas prices. PLEASE STRENGTHEN Clinton's NAFTA agreements of the past that put so many Americans in the unemployment line. PLEASE MORE NAFTA.

No We Can't 2008!

Wow, what an uninspiring November election we are going to have.

I don't buy that at all. of course she is going to say that. When was the last time she said anything true. I will attempt to believe it when an independent source confirms this. besides she is in debt to the tune of over $15 million so she is breaking even.

Kevin Leo (Jonesboro, GA)   April 23rd, 2008 4:39 pm ET

Well, let's do he math. They have ben spending in excess of 1 million a day. They started off about 9 million in the whole and just picked up 10 million. So, by my math they can campaign for 1 more day in the positive before they go right back into debt agin.

And we want to trust a multi-billion dollar budget and trillion dollar deficit to the geniuses balancing this checkbook?!?! I think not!!!

Eric, Mi   April 23rd, 2008 4:39 pm ET

Even if they raise 10 million... wouldnt that just balance out what they owe... why would anyone honestly donate money to a campaign that is managed as poorly as hers?

Quite an accomplishement!

NC is in the bag. If IN comes around, this thing is over.

truth be told   April 23rd, 2008 4:38 pm ET

Sharon, Raleigh NC   April 23rd, 2008 4:37 pm ET

I have no idea if the Democratic primary contest will hurt the party in November, but for the first time I am glad that my vote in NC on May 6th will count and be meaningful.

People have various reasons for not supporting HRC, but you have to respect her strenghth and the way she continues to fight, that's why I will continue to support her and she will have my vote. Legislators compromise way to much in this country, I wanted a fighter in the White House.

R. T.   April 23rd, 2008 4:36 pm ET

Pa voter   April 23rd, 2008 4:36 pm ET

Hope they will be able to pay of their debts and compete. Obama will win but I doesn't need to happen because Hillary is out of money.

Mandy, California   April 23rd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

Mark   April 23rd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

I might add... Ummm complete and utter BS is what this leaked story is... the day Hillary pulls in 10 mil in one day, is the day, that Hillary's voters need to step back and realize they are supporting a LOST CAUSE!.

She can't win without the supers overturning the will of the people....and if they do that, Hillary will lose in November....as she will polarize the new voters coming into the fray

Peter   April 23rd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

I think this is a bluff from the Clinton campaign. They seriously have a money problem and a predicted victory in PA isnt likely to change things that much.

INDIA CALIFORNIA FOR BARACK OBAMA   April 23rd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

Hillary simply cannot tell the truth. Here’s her scorecard:
Admitted Lies
• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn’t cover the market back then.)
Whoppers She Won’t Confess To
• She didn’t know about the FALN pardons.
• She didn’t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
• She didn’t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
• She didn’t know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
• She opposed NAFTA at the time.
• She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
• She played a role in the ’90s economic recovery.
• The billing records showed up on their own.
• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
• She was always a Yankees fan.
• She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).
With a record like that, is it any wonder that we suspect her of being less than honest and straightforward?

Mary   April 23rd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

Clinton's "crash & burn" tactics will lead her to destruction – not Barack's. I'm proud to support such a dignified man & I don't believe for one second that she's bringing in enough money to compete. How pathetic of her to ask hard-working people to contribute to a campaign that is not going to win. "She" is truly pathetic herself & since this crusade has 'now' become 'all about her' – why doesn't Bill just contribute all of the money she needs? Those two losers deserve each other! Obama in 08.

The Vendors are Calling   April 23rd, 2008 4:34 pm ET

THATS AWESOME!

Now maybe she will pay the VENDORS she owes all over the country!

Don't waste your money on Clinton. Look at the results of the elections (Ohio, PA and TX) and you'll see that Hillary won those states by carrying the districts that traditionally go Republican.

Last night didn't change the game, it just prolonged it.

it sounds like clinton asking for $10. who's her pimp?

Debbie, NJ   April 23rd, 2008 4:33 pm ET

She's going to need it. Look at the lobbyist she's gotten money from

Senator Hillary Clinton has taken over $800,000 from lobbyists, more money than any other candidate — Republican or Democrat:
* Over $130,000 from energy lobbyists
* Over $130,000 from drug company lobbyists
* Over $125,000 from health care and insurance lobbyists.”
* Energy: $442,800
* Pharmaceuticals/health products: $450,450
* Hospitals, health services/HMOs and insurance companies: $552,050
* Health professionals: $114,755.

GO HILLARY 08!!!!

dawn   April 23rd, 2008 4:31 pm ET

Don't fret Senator Obama. The folks in North Carolina will seal the deal for you. Your problem is most likely not because these folks are old, its because they are racists. I predict that the old-timers in Indiana and North Carolina know honesty and intelligence when they see it. Apparently Pennsylvanians only see black and white. Obama08

Herman LA, CA   April 23rd, 2008 4:31 pm ET

She is broke she needs all she can get.

Jennifer   April 23rd, 2008 4:31 pm ET

Which I hope you are going to pay all of your outstanding bills with Hillary.

For someone that has oddles of money between herself and her husband, it's amazing to me that her campaign is in debt. It boggles my mind that people think she's better to fix the economy when she can't even keep her own campaign finances in line.

OBAMA 08

dEMOBRAT   April 23rd, 2008 4:31 pm ET

Yeah baby!!!!! Clinton is going to take Indiana by storm!!!!!!!!

Kevin   April 23rd, 2008 4:30 pm ET

Game changing? Are they joking?

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   April 23rd, 2008 4:30 pm ET

That might be enough to erase some of the debt that I have heard/read other people who are better informed mention. I can't believe that Clinton is doing well and has this much debt. If her campaign is to be an example of how well she could run the federal budget, I'd rather go with Obama as an example; plenty of money coming in to spend as needed with little concerns of over spending and debt.

Debt paid   April 23rd, 2008 4:29 pm ET

Congrats to the Clinton supporters who finally paid Penn's salary and her 4.5 million debt off! I'm glad the money is well-spent!

Angus McDugan   April 23rd, 2008 4:29 pm ET

Each donation to Clinton fuels the Republican campaign. What a bunch of suckers. This was supposed to be a slam-dunk election for the dems, but Hillary is going to make it tough.

A. Harrison   April 23rd, 2008 4:28 pm ET

Just beautiful!!

It's great being the underdog, because when you start winning big everything comes to light and you were indeed right after all.

Joanne   April 23rd, 2008 4:27 pm ET
