Clinton picks up superdelegate

Hillary Clinton got some extra superdelegates Wednesday.
Hillary Clinton got some extra superdelegates Wednesday.

(CNN) - Tennessee Rep. John Tanner announced Wednesday he is backing Hillary Clinton's White House bid.

Tanner, a Democrat representing Tennessee's 8th District, is one of the more than 700 party superdelegates who will ultimately decide which candidate wins the Democratic presidential nomination.

"In my opinion, the best person to lead this critical effort is Hillary Clinton," Tanner said in a statement released by the Clinton campaign. "Hillary is a smart, pragmatic leader who understands the grave situation our country faces, with a $9 trillion debt, much of which is borrowed from foreign countries. Now, more than ever, our nation needs a leader like Sen. Clinton who can work with others to return to fiscal sanity."

Clinton won the state of Tennessee with 54 percent of the vote on February 5.

The polls showed college drop outs and the old voters mostly supported Hillary.
    So its fair to say:
No wonder some people dont get it or see it they lack knowledge therefore they are easily led kinda like cattle on a farm.
It's fair to say 'YA CANT TEACH OLD DOGS NEW TRICKS' thats why Hillary can lie lie lie and these 'old dogs' will still vote for her cuz they want the same 'old politics'
Its the same 'old politics' why Gas is through the roof now $4, your children will go to war in Iran (HILLARY SAID IT), the lobbyist and special interest groups will control the white house cuz the 'old politics' candidate are bought and you will lose your homes and jobs shipped overseas!

First one I have seen in weeks. A win is a win, so when Obama wins, because Hillary can not overcome the lead he has built he will be the nominee. A win is a win and Obama is the winner. If the party overturns the decision of the people, then the democratic party will be cheated and America knows it.

    Thanks Rep. Tanner.

Just a friendly reminder Michigan and Florida have NOT YET been included.

Once Florida and Michigan are seated.. Hillary is going to cruise.

Hillary can clearly see that she will not get the nomination. Even if she gets it somehow (playing race/gender/card like she did in PA), then she will break the party and lose badly. All she is managing to do is to destroy Obama and the party.

McCain is the only winner in this game. It is time Democratic party broke into two different parties. USA needs three party system.

Thank you Rep Tanner. CNN why isn't this new story above the old one regarding Obama's endorsement? Trying to hide another Clinton endorsement?..last week CNN buried the story about her 3 new superdelegate endorsements.

Hillary is the best chance the Dems have of winning in Nov. She can deliver the critical swing states in Nov. (Ohio, Florida, TN, AK, MI, and PA).

The tide is turning as superdelegates see that the voters Dems have to win in Nov (the Reagan Democrats) are turning away from Obama.

The headline "Hillary Picks up Superdelegate" made me think of this comeback. "Put that man back down Hillary. Bill's supposed to be the PICKUP ARTIST and he won't like it." Just my silly attempt at injecting a little humor.

The good governor says "...with a $9 trillion debt, much of which is borrowed from foreign countries." Let's see, just where does the former President Clinton get most of his "consulting" money? Oh yeah, from foreign countries. And how much more from those sources that went into his library? Just where do you think her or his allegiance will be for the next four or eight years? She cannot say she will divest us of our reliance on foreigners (oil and $$) when the guy she shares life with is so dependent on them for his rich livelihood.

I wonder what kind of show job she laid on him. Mark my words, Sen Clinton is not the one to lead this country, she will be worse than any republican we have had these past 24 years. Her comments about Iran, using 9-11 Bin Laden photo in a late run in PA, talking about war mongering. Wake up America, we will eventually leave Iraq, but with great fear I see another war on the horizon with Sen Clinton at the helm.

  20. Reality Check

Hillary is leading in superdelegates for a reason. They know what it takes to win in November and they know that to bring victory home in Nov. the Dems have to win the swing states and keep Reagan Democrats in the party. The Reagan Democrats have embraced Hillary and have rejected Obama. If the Dems want to win in Nov – they have to nominate Hillary. She brings women voters and older voters to the polls (these are the bulk of Democratic voters) and she brings the core Democratic voters (blue collar workers and union members). She also brings Reagan Democrats and Catholic (and other religious) Democrats to the voting booth. These people are reliable voters who we can count on to show up and vote on election day. We need to offer them a candidiate that they will support when they do show-up to vote - that candidiate is Hillary. We need Hillary to win in November. Hopefully the superdelegates will see the writing on the wall after Obama's double digit loss in PA and they will endorse Hillary so we can take back the White House this Nov.

The Republicans can't wait to turn Hillary's own games on her.
Google Clinton's just to see what they are saving. Her game
is to punch, jump, pounce on Obama so that he cannot stick
to his policy message of hope and inspiration.

The Republican will use the same game on her. They want her
to win!!!! They use Hannity, Rove, and Limbaugh. Notice they
don't talk about Hillary much. They are saving it "all" til November.
The Clinton's unsavory past, to say the least will come back to
haunt them. Google "Clinton" to see for yourself what they are
    saving.

Didn't The Clinton's recently receive 15 Million dollars from Dubai.
They will sell us to Dubai if they can.

If Hillary can't manage her campaign finances and she owes almost $800,000 plus, how in the hell is she going to balance the nation's budget? Get real Tanner!!!!!!!

Obama lost PA by double digits even though he outspent Clinton by 3 to 1. He is done and the superdelegates have started to take notice. The superdelegates want to back a winning candidiate and Obama is not the person who will win this Nov. Clinton is the strongest candidiate for the Democratic Party.
