Obama: Nobody's complained more than the Clintons

Obama held a press conference with reporters Wednesday.
Obama held a press conference with reporters Wednesday.

NEW ALBANY, Indiana (CNN) – Facing reporters for the first time since his loss in the Pennsylvania primary, Democrat Barack Obama said he "doesn't really understand" Hillary Clinton's attack line that he "can't stand the heat."

"This is sort of the kitchen sink strategy, and the argument about not being able to stand the heat - that I don't really understand," Obama said, responding to a question on recent attacks aimed at him.

He went on to turn the argument on them.

"Nobody has complained more about the press, about questions at debates, about being mistreated than Sen. Clinton has, or President Clinton," he said.

"We have been pretty tame in terms of taking our shots and just rolling with them."

OBAMA STAY ON TRACK, YOU GO THIS, DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT IS BEING SAID. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THEY ASK WHY CAN'T YOU CLOSE, YOU SAY I CLOSED THE GAP, SHE SHOULD HAVE HAD ME BY AT 30% FOR A VICTORY. THE VERY SAME PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR YOU IF YOUR ARE THE NOMINEE. STAY ON TRACK, TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES. DON'T ATTACK YOU OPONENTS FIRST, BUT REMEMBER TO GO HARD IN A POSITIVE WAY. CLINTON AND MCCAIN ARE AFAIRD OF SOMETHING IF IT TAKES BOTH OF THEM TO ATTACK YOU AND YOU STILL COME OUT A WINNING. QUIET AS IT IS KEPT, YOU ALSO WON IN PA.

KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND EVERYTHING TO GAIN AS HE HAVE BEEN.

Say WORD, Barack! She would rather whine and complain and throw negative attacks against us, than focus on the issues and solutions to fix our country. I don't see her throwing mud at McCain, maybe because she's trying to help him. Hillary is a divider, and we saw that last night in the PA primary. I would rather support Barack Obama, a candidate that can get the job done and bring the country together. Change you can believe in! Not PAC money and lobbyists! Join the Obama movement today!

    Not including Obama, maybe.

Obama is a baby. He cannot lead this nation, unless we want to go to the dogs. Then, Obama might be the choice.

Before SC, the African American voters were split between Clinton and Obama until BILL ClINTON opened up his BIG MOUTH...He is a master politician and without saying it in so many words, planted the seed of racism and that is when the black voters turned in flocks to Obama and it is also when I made up my mind to vote for Obama. The polls also show that the Clintons are the ones who went negative, look at the exit polls of PA...

He doesn't really understand Clinton's "he can't stand the heat" attack line? What's there not to understand? Obama took 45 minutes of tough questions, none of which he was able to answer well, and then spent hours whining about it during the week and a half before the Pennsylvania primary.
Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, took the heat of serious media scrutiny for 45 weeks (some pundits have even been called Hillary's tormentors). Did she ever focus her campaign on whining about tough media questions? The only memorable comment she made about it was during a one-on-one debate in which she said that she was happy to take the questions, but found it curious that the tough questions never seemed to be directed at him first. It was an observation that many of us average Americans had already made. Meanwhile, on the stump, she speaks almost exclusively about issues that are important to the American people (in remarkable detail, I might add).
If Obama were to become president, how could he possibly handle the job? Obviously, he can't.

kaye: What is a LAIR? People who donate as individuals are regular folks who work for companies. PACS and lobbyists are groups and individuals who have the connections and sway to influence policies. There is difference.

Anybody watching the race can see Obama is being very patient and "nice" to the Clintons. There is so much he can destroy them with but he doesn't for the good of the Democratic Party.

As pundits have said, the race has been about winning superdelegates since Ohio/Texas primaries. As one superdelegates has said, "Does Hillary think we're idiots?"

This is why Obama has one more and bigger endorsements then Hillary.

  11. People Trust Obama

100% of Obama's money comes from the people. So he will owe THE PEOPLE in the end, not some Drug Company or Special interest Corporation . She has run her campaign finances into the ground and is in debt. $10 million, he has not.

If THE PEOPLE have Given Obama Money Now and trust him, more than they trust her with there finances then they won't mind paying taxes, as much, if He is President because they know he will spend it only towards the well being of the country.

To remind everyone... countries won't mind lending us money and working with us becuase they know he will actually pay it back ON TIME and work towards solutions, not instigate problems or want to fight everyone like Hill.

She says she want's peace but all she can talk about is fighting, even if they are on her team

    Shame on you Hillary.

Obama is a pathological liar and a hypocrite. The writing is on the wall for him and he is slinging mud like he usually does when he gets in trouble only this time he can't blame Clinton for being negative. He doesn't just have a problem with seniors he has a problem with everyone because he stands for nothing. He message of change is ringing hollow. People want solutions not rhetoric. It is time to vote smart and vote Clinton.

Kaye: Please provide proof of your statements. You (or whomever gave you this information) is /are being dishonest. Obama DOES NOT take money from lobbyists, especially the oil & gas industry...period. Show me some proof...I guarantee there is none.

Linda: With all do respect, pay attention to elections in your own country. We have enough problems with ours here to have you spewing hatred about a candidate that will represent US not YOU. He happens to be a superior leader that you clearly haven't done your homework on. Sounds to me like you've been listening to our news as well....FOX NEWS, that is!! Sorry, but your opinion does not matter, so stay out of it!

why can't people see that HILLARY CLINTON IS DESTROYING THE MINDSET OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY? she is bringing division amoungst people where there was no division before. having a healthy contest – where all votes matter – is wonderful and needed (especially after 2 stolen elections). but what hillary is doing now is more than hurtful to the democratic national party.... it's dividing the nation and bringing out the worst of her supporters. 28% is not willing to even consider voting for her opponent – even if it's the best thing for the country!!! that's not unifying or helpful or positive – that's what the republicans are counting on!

I am amazed that many of the people who are "offended" and upset with Senator Obama about Reverend Wright are not as upset and offended that Governer Rendell publicly lauded and supported Reverend Farrakhan. For those who have forgotten, Senator Clinton attempted to paste Minister Farrakhan and his anti-Semitic comments to Senator Obama in the penultimate debate. However, she seems to have forgotten, as have the "smoke and mirrors" critics and the people calling Senator Obama a liar that her supporters have other relationships, too. I think maybe the candidates should be asked about their positions on health care, the economy, the war, jobs, homelessness, crime, law enforcement, welfare, social security and issues, not flag pins and dinner parties. Remember, they're both Democrats. They're in the same party. Yes, they're running for the nomination, but they're supposed to be against Senator McCain, not playing "who's on your list?"

Carl Bernstein (of Wordward & Bernstein fame) wrote in his book, A Woman In Charge: the Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton):

“She doesn’t look at her life as a series of crises but rather a series of
battles. I think of her viewing herself in more heroic terms, an epic
character like in The Iliad, fighting battle after battle. Yes, she succumbs
to victimization sometimes, in that when the truth becomes
too painful, when she is faced with the repercussions of her own
mistakes or flaws, she falls into victimhood. But that’s a last resort
and when she does allow the wallowing it’s only in the warm glow
of martyrdom—as a laudable victim—a martyr in the tradition of
Joan of Arc, a martyr in the religious sense. She would much
rather play the woman warrior—whether it’s against the bimbos,
the press, the other party, the other candidate, the right-wing.
She’s happiest when she’s fighting, when she has identified the
enemy and goes into attack mode. . . . That’s what she thrives on
    more than anything—the battle.”

I am with Obama. what was she whinning about? Truman knew what he was talking about. how long did it take clinton to admit it was not her quote? why did she make the: if you can't stand heat, etc.? i believe it was just more of her dishonesty and negative spin. bush does that all the time. he says he is against when he is really for. both bush and clinton are mentally ill. think of how she cried not once but twice! now she is back to the screaming, lying shrew she is. why can't people recognize this. i never gave a thought to voting for bush and i will not give a thought to voting for clinton. obama is missing the boat. clinton is more like bush than bush. she is smarter;ergo,a quicker thinker. obama is brilliant and should be able to knock her off her lying fat butt very diplomatically and stay on topid ,the economy, war, etc.

He's had an easy ride, and now that the ride is not so easy he's complaining. "Stop asking me questions."
