Obama: Nobody's complained more than the Clintons

Obama held a press conference with reporters Wednesday.
Obama held a press conference with reporters Wednesday.

NEW ALBANY, Indiana (CNN) – Facing reporters for the first time since his loss in the Pennsylvania primary, Democrat Barack Obama said he "doesn't really understand" Hillary Clinton's attack line that he "can't stand the heat."

"This is sort of the kitchen sink strategy, and the argument about not being able to stand the heat - that I don't really understand," Obama said, responding to a question on recent attacks aimed at him.

He went on to turn the argument on them.

"Nobody has complained more about the press, about questions at debates, about being mistreated than Sen. Clinton has, or President Clinton," he said.

"We have been pretty tame in terms of taking our shots and just rolling with them."

BECAUSE MR OBAMA YOU ARE A GENTLE MAN AND HAVE A LOT OF RESPECT FOR YOURSELF. THAT IS WHY YOU ARE GOING TO WIN. BUT LETS BE HONEST THE OLDER WHITE AMERICANS ARE MORE RACIST THAN ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD AND PA SAID IT ALL.
ITS FUNNY HOW AMERICANS CAN PRETEND THEY ARE NOT.
I AM JUST GLAD THOSE OLD FOLKS HAVE JUST SOME FEW YEARS AND THEY WILL ALL BE DEAD AND GONE, AFTER THAT THE NEW GENERATION THAT IS SO SENSIBLE WITH A GOOD HEART WILL ALWAYS UNITE. LETS GO YOUNG FOLKS WE ARE THE FUTURE AND LETS NOT WORRY ABOUT THOSE OLD RACIST WHO WILL SOON BE GONE. I REST MY CASE.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Hillary was whining about receiving the first question in debates and after the ridiculous questions from teh ABC debate Barack simply brushed them aside. Hillary was even making sarcastic references to the SNL parody during the debate in Texas because she upset about receiving the first question. Every week Bill Clinton is throwing a temper tantrum, wether it be in a meeting with California superdelegates or at a town hall meeting in a campaign state. He can't even take the heat that his wife is taking. I already voted for Barack in the NC primary last Thursday and I hope he wins this state. I also wish that he and Hillary would stop the negative campaigning that has been the standard since the Cliton campaign started their "kitchen sink" strategy.

Responsible and Inquisitive Voters for Obama 2008!

This is the truth. I'm so very annoyed at Hillary's meanspirited campaign. She dogs him at every turn while at the same time complaining if she feels at all misrepresented. All she ever does is misrepresent. She is mean AND DISHONEST!

"We have been pretty tame in terms of taking our shots and just rolling with them."

Couldn't agree more. If negative is in play, then let's go negative on the Clintons. God knows, they have enough of a history of lies and scandals to get negative about.

Americans should wake up this time around. In the Uk, the queen has the final say, why should the americans say they practise democratic system of Govt? This is the reason am always angry when the westerners wanna talk about president Robert Mugabe. It is what you people taught him he is preaching.Americans for the past 15 years practise a two family system of Govt.where only 2 families rules. There is indication that Chelsea will take over from her mother if she actually wins, which i know you americans will not accept her. Also racism should be seriously burried. This is why 2pac sang a song 'changes'sen. Cliton should stop politics with bitterness. What her husband has failed to achieve, is she the gonna who gonna make it or later her daughter?America is not owned by one particular person.God bless America. If you can't correct this social ill, then stop looking into the affairs of africans and asians.CURE YOUR SELF FIRST!

    Obama,
There are complaints out of frustration and weakness, and there are complaints as tactics. It takes time to master the tactics.

When is Obama going to quit bashing the Clintons and start talking about ideas and his plans to "change" everything?? All I hear is him responding to something someone said! Grow a Pair Barack, or get out of the race. It's time to start talking policy, not whining about what someone said about you! What an awful President you would make. You can't deal with the Clintons, you surely can't deal with Putin or Osama Bin Laden!

I really like Bill and I still do, but Mrs. Clinton integrity is very questionable and that is based on facts. I guest when I lie and got caught I can say that I just misspoke, that said .

Way to go Obama!! There is no need to stoop her level of negativity.

Hillary has a better chance to beat McCain. That is why Obama needs to go away.

It seems that Hillary Clinton will do everything and anything to win the democratic nomination. She has done alone of damage to the democratic party by playing race politics. Here is a woman who is a millionaire and claims to be in sync with the average citizen. I am sorry but drinking a beer and taking a shot doesn't make you in sync with the average citizen. She has lost any shred of credibility or respect for that matter that she used to have by constantly complaining about everything. She is about as credible as Bush right now.

Couldn't agree more. Obama and his campaign have been way nicer to Clinton than she deserves. If negative is in play, then let's go negative on the Clintons. They have plenty of negatives to bring up.

Obama will be the nominee, but he is just not electable. Not because he is black, male, or young. He is just too far left of center. Americans have had enough of the extreme ends of politics. An extreme left wing is just as bad as Bush's extreme right wing. The country as a whole (like it or not Obamanites, the country is a whole) does not want to endure the kind of whiplash such a dramatic swing of the political pendulem offers.

Only because the option to leave a comment under the headlined "story" "Abercrombie mystery behind Obama's Indiana speech" isn't available am I leaving my comment under this particular story. And it goes...yes, because these are the real issues that need to be covered by national news when it comes to the presidential nominees...AAAARRRRGGGG!!!"

Obama is right on.If the Clintons find a way to use what happened to Al Gore's election to win this election I'll switch to Mcain, but I'll never cast a vote for a family like the Clintons. We were lied to by them in many scandals and they still have one scandal pending. It's too mysterious to me that so far this election is going the same way.We need a CHANGE and not another Clinton.Another Clinton means the same old stuff for another 4 years or possibly 8.This is our chance to change America.Vote Obama in 08.
