Clinton sees influx of campaign cash

Clinton has seen an influx in campaign cash since winning the Pennsylvania primary.
Clinton has seen an influx in campaign cash since winning the Pennsylvania primary.

NEW YORK (CNN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton's Pennsylvania victory seems to be helping her regain ground financially against rival Barack Obama, who has outraised her by tens of millions of dollars.

The day that followed Clinton's Pennsylvania win was the biggest day in the history of her campaign, according to Terry McAuliffe, her campaign chairman.

The New York senator raised $10 million through the Internet and had 80,000 new donors, he said.

Compare that to two months ago, when Clinton could not afford to pay staffers and even lent her campaign $5 million from her own pocket.

What a waste! Thess people will not only lose money, but may also lose their soul once they see her final defeat.

It was early on in the campaign when I realised that the Clintons are a lousy investment.
By the way, they still haven't released their 2007 tax returns, have they.

    Voting block,

I take it you are white. Let me just say that your comments are typical of narrow minded individuals from your community. Barack Obama is leading in pledged delegates, the popular vote, and has won twice the number of states Hillary Clinton has won because of the support he has received from people representing many races (among other groups). If Bill and Hillary hadn't played the race card some many times, perhaps they would have received greater support from African Americans.

African Americans will not vote for a candidate whose argument to the super delegates is "I'm losing in pledged delegates, the popular vote and states won, however, I'm more electable because I'm white".

Stop the drama! Let's go Obama!!

Hillary took a page out Obama's book, she's asking for funds on line. She's robbing Peter to pay Paul and that's a little bit like what the government does to us on taxes.

DON'T BELIEVE A WORD OF IT!!! THIS IS ANOTHER CLINTON STRATEGY TO UNDERMIND OBAMA AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO CONTRIBUTE.

    QUESTIONS:
    1) WHY DON'T THE CLINTONS USE MORE OF THAT $109 MILLION?
    2) THEY ARE ASKING US ($35,000 PER YEAR AND UNDER) TO FINANCE HILLARY'S DREAM? I DON'T THINK SO

THEY SHOULD SHOW SOME GOOD FAITH AND USE THE $109 MILLION FIRST, THEN COME TO THE AMERICAN TAX PAYERS!!!!!

The fact that Hillary raised 10 million dollars within a few days of winning Pennsylvania. Say's that America can now see through Obama.

They want an experienced individual in the White House. Someone who's not affraid to show us who they are and that she/he can handle anything that is thrown at them.

Make the Smart Choice. Vote Hillary ... She's proven time and again she's the best candidate and the smartest for the Job.

Again the Obama campaign is flooding these comments. Boy didn't see that happening after her win in PA. Do Obama supporters feel guilty or scared about something?

Clinton V Paul, Jerry Zeifman, Clinton and Arafat- where are the news agencies on these Clinton stories. This stuff is news when voters are deciding, and certainly more pertinent than what time Hillary and Obama wake up in the morning. For goodness sakes!!! NY Times does a full, blatantly unfounded piece on whether McCain had a romantic relationship with a lobbyist, yet allegations of rank corruption surround the Clintons at every turn and most is not mentioned in major news organizations.

She needed the money to pay Mark Penn so he could take another trip to Columbia and continue his work for Hillary there. I just contributed $500 to Obama to help him stop her. One thing I think bears saying – Hillary phanatics are saying now – why can't Obama finish off Hillary – even after spending so much money. Well, why not ask an even better question – why couldn't Hillary, after being so far ahead of everyone, finish off Obama by Feb. 1. Is it because she did not have a campaign strategy in place? As for the money, she should have had it too, and if her campaign was not so inept, they would have known how to fund raise and spend it properly. And this is how you want her to lead our country? This is the only major thing Hillary has had to manage and it has been a disaster by any measure of inspection. The only way she gets the nomination from here is to tear the party apart – something she cares very little about.

REPUBLICAN... Your blog was very vague... what exactly are the "real issues" with Obama ??? Not wearing his Chinese-made, lead-painted lapel pin??? Something that someone he knows said???? Something someone did when he was eight years old??? Please elaborate.

It goes to show there are a lot more negative mongers out there than just Hillary and Billary. The husband ought to be especially pleased for all of that extra money he can throw around at all of his women–Hillary and daughter excluded.

    Yes we can!,

Do you have any understanding of accounting? Just because he has debt doesn't mean he is behind. Also, do you see a difference between someone that has $650,000 debt and millions in the bank? Hillary is millions in debt and had $0 in the bank (if you take away her $5 Million loan. You must be using that new Clinton kind of math where 9.3 = 10. You must be using the new Clinton way of thinking where saying you were shot at by snipers on four separate occasions is mis-speaking and not lying.

This is funny right? $10 million, you might as well say $10.00 because after she pays her debts the reality is she is STILL IN THE RED.

Americans need to get a grip and stop acting like this cures ALL her money issues. Reality is she is still in more DEBT in April, those bills have NOT even been paid, we talking MARCH bills that are behind. It's NOT a laughing matter.

The Clinton camp is really spinning this story because they don't want Americans to really start "connecting the dots" and figure the truth out. BUT the fact remains she's still financially in the RED big time. It's sad but true, my niece works on her accounting staff and it's NOT looking very good for Sen. Clinton at all financially. Even I was deeply shocked at the details I heard. Americans have NO idea just how bad it TRULY is and I'm not even a Clinton supporter, but I was sadden at how bad it is. So trust me when I say, every penny given to her is BADLY needed and already spent 5 times over.

    Hillary! Hillary!... Keep going.

I love how upset so many Obama supporters are. It suprises me that they are so upset. Why? Are you affraid she's actually got the shot at beating him out of the race?

I mean, why did Obama shell out so much money against Hillary in PA if he thought he had it down with winning the White House.

Amazes me how he puts up a fight... because he knows he's going to lose and so do his supporters.
