Clinton sees influx of campaign cash

Clinton has seen an influx in campaign cash since winning the Pennsylvania primary.
Clinton has seen an influx in campaign cash since winning the Pennsylvania primary.

NEW YORK (CNN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton's Pennsylvania victory seems to be helping her regain ground financially against rival Barack Obama, who has outraised her by tens of millions of dollars.

The day that followed Clinton's Pennsylvania win was the biggest day in the history of her campaign, according to Terry McAuliffe, her campaign chairman.

The New York senator raised $10 million through the Internet and had 80,000 new donors, he said.

Compare that to two months ago, when Clinton could not afford to pay staffers and even lent her campaign $5 million from her own pocket.

I'll be sending more money to Obama.
Hillary can't even run a campaign given to her on a silver platter, let alone the country!

CNN make them prove it instead of accepting McAulliffe claim that they raised this money. I don't buy it at all.

Even $1 trillion contributions a day will not save her. Obama is the nominee. Being an ex Clinton supporter I'm sick and tired of her.

so by my calculations, old girl has broken even at $0 dollars. she was 10 million dollars in debt. If she uses the new money to pay her outstanding debts, she will be broke, just like her chances of winning the nomination.

......just a drop in the bucket. She still has to campaign in 10 remaining states and he still ended March with a $42M surplus to her measley $8M. What "influx"????

    YES SHE WILL!

If Obama has verified one thing that GW Bush proved, money can buy the presidency.

And paying off superdelegates.. which he has donated more $$ to than any other candidate through PAC's.

Its unfortunate that Hillary is forced to raise this much money to compete. That $50 mil of Obama's could easily go to fighting the ills of this world.. yet we're helping to run TV ads?

Hillary is getting ANOTHER donation from this "typical, under-educated" single female entrepreneur!

Too little, too late. Obama has already won mathematically and fairly. Her delegate gain in PA? Wiped out by his delegate gain in NC. She might barely win in Indiana (maybe), and naturally, her campaign will spin that victory and say she has momentum. All she's doing is delaying the inevitable – the super delegates are not going to buck the popular vote and delegate lead just because she got a tiny bit more popular at the end of the fight due to her negative tactics. Voters WILL get behind whomever the Democratic nominee is, because we don't want another four years of terrible policy and decision-making.

Hillary Clinton et al should all just go away. Begging her supporter, many of whom can't afford the money to give to her "change the rules as she goes tactics.' It's so Clintonian but Iam sure Clinton News Network or as often called Corporate News Network (CNN). I just can't understand why she can't give herself the money afterall she earned at least $109m. Give the world a break.

McAuliffe says they have 80,000 new donors. Hillary's website says they have 100,000 new donors. Does ANYONE believe ANYTHING that comes out of her, or her campaign, ANYMORE ??? Once you get tagged as someone who will lie, distort, twist, and completely make-up stuff, CREDIBILITY is a casualty. NO ONE trusts her. GO AWAY !!

$10 million is impressive... that's good news. Hopefully she uses it to pay her $10,000,000+ campaign debt so all the small businesses aren't out what she owes them.

That has already been proven a lie. She has only raised 3.5 million. So now that just means she is 5.5 million in debt.

Well., I guess her supporters can't do simple algebra either. Darned that No Child Left Behind Act...... They are hoping, scheming and fantasizing that Sen Obama will trip up or that some devistating thing happens. THAT IS WHAT SHE IS HEDGING ON.

Meanwhile, she is throwing mud and dirt every which way. Senator Obama doesn't need to engage in that mess with her. All that he needs to do is continue focusing on his message, and let the race run out. She is done.

IF, IF the DNC thinks that the Superdelegates can give the nomination to her if the numbers continue to trend in the way that they have, they are insane. There are Tour Bus trips being planned all over the country for DESTINATION DENVER already.
