Laura Bush and daughter Jenna appeared on CNN's Larry King Live Thursday.

(CNN) - President Bush was quick to endorse John McCain when the Arizona senator wrapped up his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

But another Bush might not be so sure.

Speaking with CNN's Larry King Wednesday night, Jenna Bush said she hasn't decided yet who she will vote for in November.

"I don't know," Jenna Bush, daughter of President and Mrs. Bush, said when asked if she will back McCain.

"Of course [I am open]. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates and I'm sure that everybody's like that," she added.

Though the younger Bush conceded she has "been too busy with books to really pay that much attention."

Meanwhile, mother Laura Bush was quick to affirm that she will be voting for the Republican candidate in the fall.

The two appeared on the show to discuss Jenna Bush's upcoming wedding next month.

"[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big," Jenna Bush said. “So it's half-family and then half very close friends."

Good for her not to just jump on her father's bandwagon and decide for herself!

S Williams   April 24th, 2008 1:14 pm ET

It appears that the daughter may be just as tongue-tied and inarticulare as the father...

Its a shame women can join together regardless of what they think of her. They are missing a big opportunity.

At least the blacks are joining together even when they know he won't do anything for them.

Jenna is smart vote for change, not McCain.

Obama 08!

ana   April 24th, 2008 1:13 pm ET

Vote for Obama and you WILL be standing in line for toilet paper. You will work for one reason...to pay taxes, and if you think gas is expensive now and the economy is bad now, vote for "Nobama" and you will wish you didn't.

Dal   April 24th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

Give her credit for standing up and choosing the better candidate. I hope that she will vote for Obama.
Go Jenna make history.

scooby   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

How desperate of the Obama Camp (CNN) must be, when they imply a Bush vote for Obama! Do the commenters here really consider that an endorsement? Whatever it takes to feel righteous, I suppose. She is a secret Obama admirer, you know, just like her father...

Gonzales, TX   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

I had the impression that Jena was Daddy's little girl. Good to know she has a mind of her own. There's hope for her yet!

Best wishes on your wedding.

Isaac Brooklyn NY   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

Who cares?

peter   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

Regardless if she is President Bush's daughter, who cares what some young rich kid, who has never gone without anything in her life thinks. Give me a break. Is she really going to sway the vote?

Michael   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

I just spoke to Jenna and she is supporting Hillary Clinton. We all should support Hillary. She is wonderful

Mike   April 24th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

thanks for the non-story. from the context of the interview, it appears she's not really that engaged in politics and hasn't given the presidental race much thought. she basically seemed nervous and vague in her answers to questions on most topics. but what the hell, let's twist it around and fabricate a news story out of it. nothing new.

Mark   April 24th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

Apparently she inherited her father's speaking abilities. She flip-flops twice in one run-on sentence! First the wedding is very small, then kind of big. First just family, then family AND friends. Relevant? Probably not. Funny? Indeed.

Also, she is rather idealistic and naive to think that most people care to learn about the candidates. I would estimate that over 2/3 of our country simply "votes for the home team," be it Rep or Dem, or at least votes based on one or two hot-button issues that never get resolved (abortion, immigration, etc).

The "too busy" excuse is lame, not to mention a poor example. All of the big 3 have websites with their stances on them. So unless she also plans to review campaign contributions, which is generally more important in policy-making decisions than the platforms the politicians tout to win voters, time (being too busy) shouldn't be an issue.

Paris   April 24th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

I enjoyed the independent nature of this girl.
It does take some guts to say I am undecided and open to the candidates in her position.
I also like what she said about TX being home, and deciding to have her wedding at Home.
She also was very open about Chelsea Clinton.
All and all it reflects that Bush the parents are very open and don’t pressure their kids to obey by the parents politics.

If Only She Were A Little Older   April 24th, 2008 1:09 pm ET

Too bad Jenna is too young to be Obama's running mate.

OMG. Does anyone else get tired of the ubiquitous: 'And this is news why?' comments?

Good lord, I'm so sick and tired of hearing lemmings echo that. Of course it's news, just as much as anything else reported by NEWSPAPERS or NEWS CORPS is.

Definition: News - Information about recent events or happenings, especially as reported by newspapers, periodicals, radio or television.

Get a NEW LINE please. Yawn.

Everyonle in this Country has the right to vote the way they want to. No one has the right to impose their will on anyone for any reason. I am not a Republican, but I do defend her right to choose. She was put on the spot to answer and rather than lie she said how she felt. Good for her. I am a Hillary supporter, but whomever she chooses will be her God given right. Period!!

Steve   April 24th, 2008 1:09 pm ET

Oh my god! Why is this even a story. She makes a comment that she is too busy with her wedding plans and selling her book and CNN makes this a Headline Story. Shame on CNN. We have a lot more pressing issues than comments made on Larry King Live.

God help us if Obama is the Democratic nominee. Pray that Hillary Clinton receives the Super Delegates support!

Brian Tampa, FL   April 24th, 2008 1:07 pm ET

Smart and young don't go together. There is a reason most societies in world history have chosen "elders" as their leaders. With age comes experience and with experience comes wisdom. As Winston Churchill once said "if you aren't a liberal at twenty you don't have any heart, if your not a conservative by thirty you don't have any brains" {paraphrase}!

that's the family picture... my dad respects my decision since he understands respect is a two way street.

Perhaps the young lady can see why people bash her father... you can still love someone while disagreeing with their politics and actions.

Perhaps the young lady has a brain of her own and will not blindly follow her parents lead. thinking for youself is a good thing... blindly following your parents is not.

Can you people ever be nice about anything?? Let the girl enjoy her book & planning her wedding. The world won't fall apart regardless of who she votes for.

Philip   April 24th, 2008 1:03 pm ET

Hey, "I Call it respect"...

Respect is something you must earn, even parents must earn the respect of their children, it is not and should not be forced upon anyone. Parents earn the respect of their children when children are allowed to spread their own wings and fly. It is the parents duty to be there for their children and encourage free thought. That is what makes a happy and stable human being.

GWB (I can't even bring myself to spell out his name) has LOST the respect of the American people. Again, respect is something you earn. Hillary has lost respect for all her negativity and lies. Obama HAS earned the respect from the American electorate because he has tried to keep positive and on the higher road throughout all of this, and he will bring honor and repsect to the White House.

Bryan   April 24th, 2008 1:03 pm ET

Maybe she will redeem the Bush family just a little by endorsing Obama...certianly would be fitting given that the young appear to be the only group in this election where the majority has any sense.

Mike   April 24th, 2008 12:59 pm ET

I have gathered some numbers based on the democratic primary to show what will happen in November if Obama is the nominee.

The democratic primary is different as it shares delegates based on percentage but in the general election it is winner takes all in each state. Each state won is that many delegates to winning the overall count. So if we treat the democratic primary just like the general election this is what we are looking at against McCain.

I have taken each state that has won by Obama or Clinton and given all the delegates of that state to the majority winner. I even gave Obama all the upcoming states and made him the winner giving him the delegates from them. I did not include Florida or Michigan to avoid any argument. This includes Guam and others that are counted in the democratic primary. This is only actually won states and future states given to Obama:

Obama won 37 "states"
Hillary won 17 "states"

However in a general election setting:

Obama delegate count: 1486
Hillary delegate count: 1750

If you count Florida and Michigan which Hillary won and polls show that even if Obama campaigned in those states Hillary would have won them at that time:

Obama delegate count: 1486
Hillary delegate count: 2118

If we gave Florida to Obama and Michigan to Hillary as polls suggest a primary today would give them:

Obama delegate count: 1692
Hillary delegate count: 1907

The bottom line is that Hillary has won in a general election model based on primaries of the democratic party and even giving Obama all the next primary states coming up. The reason Hillary won is she won all the big states practically? These states are historically won by the Republican party as to why Bush beat Kerry in 2004. Therefore if Obama cannot win the big states that Republicans tend to win he has no chance against McCain in the general election. Hillary has the only chance of being a democratic president in 2008.

So do you want a Republican in office or do you want a Democrat. The choice is clear who is more electable in November.

Clearly she defies conventional wisdom that stupidity is hereditary.

My money says Jenna is voting for Obama. My money also says that she realizes the deficiencies of the Republican Party and understands we need a new bread of leadership to heal the wounds, bridge the gaps and get this country back on the progressive track.

Next we'll learn that she's been making donations to the Obama Campaign.

I can't imaging voting for someone who bashes my father everyday. Whether it be Hillary or Obama Some might call it a generation gap, I call it respect. Some would say she is smart but I would say she is disrespectful. Is there something wrong with loving your parents? or is that a thing of the past.? Oh, I forgot the youth know it all. They have been there and done that. Their parents know nothing. They want INSPIRATION!

Just because you love your parents doesn't mean you have to vote for their political party or agree with them. Parents aren't know it alls either, so young adults can make their own decisions. I feel sorry for you kids. I bet they feel your scorn every day.

J. Murray   April 24th, 2008 12:56 pm ET

Obama said government doesn't listen to the people.

The vast majority of the American public supported the Iraq invasion-on recommendation of a President the majority wholeheartedly supported.

Hillary is now blamed for doing what Obama accuses the government of not doing.

In the aftermath of such a devastating crisis as 9/11, to go against public opinion and be wrong, would have been political suicide.

I sincerely doubt the attention-loving Obama would have had such courage. "Walk in my shoes".

Go Jenna!

Hillary, get over yourself! You do NOT lead in popular votes. Read my lips...YOU DO NOT LEAD IN POPULAR VOTES!!!

What is wrong with this woman? Is she serious? If so, she really has issues and a very dangerous obsession with being President of the United States.

If her obsession runs this deep, then I think she's a time bomb just waiting to explode. Watch out people!!! Or will that be "sniper fire"???

Get over it Billary....take your lost like a man. Afterall, you do seem like the one who wears the 'pants' in the house.

Libertarian? Well, we have today's "Joke of the Day". It's rather obvious that she's not voting for that old fool McCain. And since she isn't a white, ill-educated male from Pennsylvania, A.K.A., "New Alabama", she's probably not leaning toward the Billary couple who are currently planning their coronation.

That leaves her with the best educated, most articulate, decisvie, and least annoying candidate who speaks best for her generation and the nation's multi-cutural future. Of course the guy from Fort Myers will say Ron Paul, who upholds the tradition of the Libertarians by gathering a whopping . 00001% of the vote as usual.

She's voting for Barack Obama. So she must have the only brains in the Bush beans family.

if you actually saw the interview in stead of just reading the spin, you saw a young woman who was caught off guard by the question and didn't commit one way or the other. Remember when you were 25 and you were planning a wedding AND traveling all over the place promoting your work and it was all going to happen in the next 2 weeks? Give the girl a break - she may just be a typical American with more on her mind than who the Democrats are supporting for President. You can be sure that her endorsement one way or the other is not being pursued by either Democratic candidate.

WHO GIVES A RAT'S BEHIND!!!

JohnS   April 24th, 2008 12:41 pm ET

She is an OBAMA supporter.

The YOUTH is turning the hearts of their parents as we have learned during this Campaign.

Sonny   April 24th, 2008 12:41 pm ET

This is not a smart woman. She's hawking her books, that's it. She couldn't care less about politics. I think baby Bush is realizing there's life after the White House, even though her dad and his family have tanked their reputation.

JMH   April 24th, 2008 12:40 pm ET

Scott, You are and Ignorant and Offensive human being for your post, that is bar far one of the most disgusting things I have read in any response to an article this year. As a man, I pray that my future wife and possibly daughters would never obey me for the sake of fear. Women must be treated with dignity and respect, and your comment was abhorrent. Jenna Bush has every right to choose who ever she wants despite what mommy and daddy have to say about the matter. If she chooses McCain in the end then so be it, but at least she has shown the willingness to keep an open mind to All the Candidates. I am an Obama supporter, but will not hesitate to back Clinton in the general election should she get the nomination despite all the negativity that has surrounded her campaign because when it comes down to the issues that matter to myself and this nation, both Obama and Clinton are a far cry better than McCain, so God Bless Jenna for showing the willingness to be open to a possibility that will lead our country to a better tomorrow.

Furthermore, How do the moderators at CNN allow someone to post such a demeaning comment? That absolutely sickens me.

Helene   April 24th, 2008 12:39 pm ET

Vote Obama you will not regret it.

Jaime   April 24th, 2008 12:39 pm ET

Wouldn't it be funny if she endorsed Obama???

Don   April 24th, 2008 12:38 pm ET

Are you kidding me, she's on a BOOK TOUR. She'll say anything to please any potential customer. Whatever, she realizes this is her last chance to sell, sell, sell. When Bush leaves the WH she'll have to pay to get publicity. Now everything is free, free, free.

Nobody goes on Larry King and talks about a "private wedding" unless they're hawking something.

What   April 24th, 2008 12:37 pm ET

"Very small.....kind of big"??

Winslow   April 24th, 2008 12:37 pm ET

Another "Who REALLY cares?!"

As if Jenna Bush's opinion matters-–she's an oil snob like her father.

Conor   April 24th, 2008 12:36 pm ET

How is this important to the campaign? Maybe if she endorsed a canidate but just saying she isn't sure who she will vote for? Not really relevant.

Democrat in PA   April 24th, 2008 12:36 pm ET

Armstrong – I didn't see anywhere in the article where she said that she was considering voting for Obama...........

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 12:35 pm ET

Did anyone notice she mentioned that she hadn't really thought much about it????? These primaries have been going on for how long now? With how many debates? This is the current president's daughter saying she has been too busy with other things. Like father like daughter!!!

Bill   April 24th, 2008 12:35 pm ET

Ashaki, the article is not about Chelsey Clinton.

N Kannan   April 24th, 2008 12:34 pm ET

Voting for an older person is the worst thing you can do to this country. The U.S needs someone familiar with younger people, the society, the people, the relationships they are growing up with. Electing an older person ensures that they have a context that is rooted in the 60's or before. They will be addressing the problems of the last century and fighting the phantoms of battles of the 80's and the 90's or even before that if you vote for McCain. We have ONE chance to get it right after getting it completely wrong in two consecutive elections in the past! Let's elect someone who will lead younger people with a context that is fitting with this century!

OBAMA08!!

I'll never understand why people think that just by putting a Democrat in the office means a miracle happened.
I'd be very disappointed in Jenna if she voted outside the republican party.
Looks like with youth DOES NOT come intelligence.

Maddie   April 24th, 2008 12:32 pm ET

She is a jr. snake oil salegirl–and she wants America to buy her books. End of that story.

Ms D   April 24th, 2008 12:32 pm ET

You Go Jenna!! Don't be pressure into voting republican. The republicans are the ones that got our country destroyed. Out with the old including Bilary and in with the new!!

Jim   April 24th, 2008 12:32 pm ET

Sadly it really doesn't matter who she cares about.....in this country the people DO NOT vote for the President..........the electoral college does. Congressman are greatly influenced by large corporations; I wonder if the electoral college members are also. The nearly 2.8 millions registered voters in my state of Alabama may be all excited about voting in the upcoming elections, but all of their votes will be represented by 9 votes from the electoral college.

Chuck   April 24th, 2008 12:31 pm ET

Why does this not surprise me. There is nothing honorable and true about the Clinton machine, and she as well as he continues to prove it each and every day.

Oregon has Hope and wants change   April 24th, 2008 12:31 pm ET

Don't pick on Jenna because of who her father is.
she is a wonderful, giving woman who volunteers and writes books with proceeds going to charities, so don't judge her.

Put it this way........

I HATE EVERYTHING HILLARY STENDS FOR

But I have nothing against her daughter, she is her own person, and still growing, so leave the former first daughters alone.

kerry d   April 24th, 2008 12:31 pm ET

hinting that she may be an obama supporter? i think not! come on people get real. she is a genuine university of texas tea sipper. she knows all about the politics of distraction practiced by hillary and bill and knows better than most how barack has dissed, unfairly i might add, her father. she is most likely sitting back and laughing at all the fools who have their tongues wagging over this story. good for you Jenna!

I call it respect   April 24th, 2008 12:29 pm ET

I can't imaging voting for someone who bashes my father everyday. Whether it be Hillary or Obama Some might call it a generation gap, I call it respect. Some would say she is smart but I would say she is disrespectful. Is there something wrong with loving your parents? or is that a thing of the past.? Oh, I forgot the youth know it all. They have been there and done that. Their parents know nothing. They want INSPIRATION!

DZ in Austin   April 24th, 2008 12:29 pm ET

For all you Kool-aid drinkers, a non endorsement for McCain doesn't necessarily translate to an endorsement for Obumble. However, given it's coming from a Bush, you just might be right.. I wouldn't expect there to be a lot of thought behind any decision.

The reason cnn believed this to be a newsworthy story is because she is the daughter of the president. yeah he may be the worst president in us history, but she still is the first daughter (is that such a term)> lol.

anyhoo, the fact that she is hinting around that she is not voting for mccain is wonderful news-especially news that cnn would like to report seeing that they are seemingly backing obama. this is great. even the president's daughter thinks republican policy sucks. that is news! that means the future of our country (which is in the hands of our youth) may be okay after all!
so everyone stop your biatching about this being a newsstory-i enjoyed learning this!

ABC '08/12   April 24th, 2008 12:26 pm ET

While those supporting the status quo there has been an attempt to make this a race between gender or ethnic group. However this election is clearly about the generational divide.

Old soldiers do not fight future wars! The 77 million "baby boomers" have a vested interest in keeping the status quo that's why Barack has a difficult time garnising their support.

A change in the contribution cap for SS and raising the age limit for full SS benefits is a must!

Jenna Bush supports Barack Obama and good for her!

Go Barack '08/12

Not sure why this should be a real big deal. Kids grow up and start to make their own decisions and form their own opinions. I'm a hard-core Democrat, but I have one son who turned out to be a real neo-con. Not sure how that that happened, but it did. And I didn't disown him.

My two sons, one of whom is in Iraq and the other a U.S. Marine in Okinawa support our country and because they do, support MCain because he also loves America and are prepared to die for their beliefs. Are your children willing to do so too. Or do you just want to live off the fat of the land and let others do your dirty work. Freedom is not Free.

As my Lord and Saviour said on the Cross at Calgary;
"Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do."

So glad she's "open" about it. However – too busy with books to pay attention? C'mon – that REEKS of prepared statement. Everybody knows that people who interview the president and people closely affiliated with him have to give the cronies a list of questions and THEY will tell them if they're appropriate or not.

That's ok. Babygirl is trying to boost daddy's approval – in her own little way.

Laura   April 24th, 2008 12:23 pm ET

Hey all you Obama supporters, if you watched the program, she never mentioned voting for Obama.

In fact she mentioned how she and Chelsea Clinton were friends. She said she was going to call Chelsea in the near future to get together and have a cup of coffee. I know this may come as a shock but maybe she is going to vote for Hillary.

Army Wife, when most of us were in shock after 911 and were convinced of Iraq having WMD and its connection to the 911 culprits (based on our intelligence and IRAQ's past), I really question why would anybody vote against invading IRAQ unless you have connections and interests on that side of the world?

Key West Sun   April 24th, 2008 12:13 pm ET

Only Obamaians would think that this story had merit, they think all young people are ignorant and guidable enough to vote for Obama. The Obama campaign has spent so much time at schools in the primary states recruiting and getting students to vote for him.
This is great to get the youth involved, if they know the issues and what they are voting for. But if you look at some schools they are offering concert tickets if you sign up and vote for Obama “Hey Dude Vote For Obama He Is Giving Away Tickets To The Concert”.
Sad truth is that most Obama voters don’t know what he stands for or what he really believes. They are just looking for what he can do for me. Without the racist vote and youth “only the one that don’t know why they are voting” vote he would not be able to get over 25 to 30% in most of the states.

Rasmus   April 24th, 2008 12:13 pm ET

"
There are many other possibilities–rather than Democrat and Republican. She may vote Libertarian, Write-In, or other candidates that will eventually appear on the ballot.

Considering the incredibly poor options we have representing both major parties—this option has crossed my mind once or twice."

Yep, we in Germany have 2 major parties at about 40/30% (conservatives/social democrats) and 3 minor parties at 8-15% (Green Party, Liberal Party and Socialists).
You have more choices and there are more possibilities for coalitions, but it´s also harder to get a majority.

Greg   April 24th, 2008 12:11 pm ET

Jenna Bush is the perfect advertisement for "Reading is Fundamental." The absence of reading in her father's daily routine has shown itself to be detrimental to his performance as president. It is very nice to learn that Jenna is busy with books and has developed a mind of her own through the acquisition of knowledge. Maybe she'll make a better president than her father.

Greg   April 24th, 2008 12:11 pm ET

Jenna and Laura Bush were actually on Larry King to promote the children's book they co-authored, not to simply discuss Jenna's wedding. Also, the fact that Jenna is not a full-blown McCain supporter at this point doesn't by default make her an Obama supporter, as all the drunk-on-Obama fanatics would hope.

Another example of our youth.....
I am too busy to research the candidates.

And so the youth .... who are of voting age....who never get around to
researching the candidates...and they do vote..... what really decides
their vote ? Looks? They got to hear "A" speech ? Who is promising them what ? They do what their other UN-informed friends do ?

Anyone who does not know the history of a candidate, nor can speak the language., not understands world affairs, nor understands the history of America, nor understands how our government(s) are designed to operate (by and through jurisdiction and limitations)
..... please stay home and not vote.

Anyone who believes that a government is designed to be your caretaker and provider of needs...
......please stay home and not vote.

Pam   April 24th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

She lives in America and can vote for whomever she wishes and should not be judged by her choice.

Why so many hatefull messages? Hateful comments make a bad case for who you support. Rise above the hate. Do it for yourself and do it for our country.

Kate   April 24th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

She says she is too busy with books to really pay that much attention???? ALL of the candidates deserve better than that, and NONE of them need even one more uninformed voter like Jenna. But then, that's the Bush way–go do stuff (like vote or start a war) that will impact the nation and the world, without having an ounce of knowledge or understanding to support your decision.
Jenna, do us all a favor, and stay home from the polls.

chryssa   April 24th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

Jenna is a smart young woman who focuses on education and human rights. I'd bet a lot of money she didn't vote for her own father – she's too smart for that.

Jeffrey   April 24th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

Do you really blame her after the last seven years?

Kate   April 24th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

Please. The Bush girls are nothing more than overprivledged silver spooned brats who will do exactly what Mommy and Daddy say. If you can honestly look at the state of this country and say "yeah, Daddy is doing a great job", then no amount of ivy league education can help you. Common sense is not taught. Under her father's leadership, the same children she is writing books for, have no health insurance and are facing poverty. Under her father's leadership, the children she and her mother so vocally support, are lacking in public education and are facing a future planet filled with toxic smoke and unliveable conditions. Yeah, Daddy did you proud, huh?

gerry   April 24th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

Leah   April 24th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

Go, Jenna! Thinking for yourself is a great sign of strength. One that hasn't really been attached to a Bush before!

RR   April 24th, 2008 12:06 pm ET

Concluding that Jenna's uncertainity of who she will support is due to her "education" or "brains" is a hugh leap. I saw the interview and also one Larry had done with her previously. When asked about her views on the Iraq war she replied that she doesn't follow it. She responded "I don't have an opinion". The same is true for the presidential race. She didn't respond directly to the question because she doesn't know a thing about any of the issues or the candidates. She's planning her wedding, on a book tour, and greeting the Pope. Who has time for politics? Calling her "brillant", "smart" or "courageous" under these circumstances? Pay attention she's not what you think she is!

mm   April 24th, 2008 12:06 pm ET

Actually, I think Jenna's backing won't be the most important thing in the world, but it will be far from the least IF she backs Obama.

It will point out that 20 straight years of Bushs and Clintons, with the possibility of another 24 or even 28 years if Clinton wins IS ENOUGH.

By the way, I'm not a Bush supporter, I just can't stand how biased CNN is and yet they play it off as if they are fair and balanced…they practically make FOX news look objective.

Frankie   April 24th, 2008 12:02 pm ET

I think it;s a wonderful idea that she remains open minded about candidates. Just because her father is a Republican does not mean that the entire Bush family are. I shows that Jenna is an independent thinker and she should make the desicion on her own. She should be comfortable with whichever candidate she chooses to succeed her father. The choice is hers and hers alone and no one should influence her desicion. I already made my choice without the influence of others.

Austin gal   April 24th, 2008 12:02 pm ET

Who cares?

M.S. Indiana   April 24th, 2008 12:01 pm ET

You are welcome in the Obama camp

Mohammad, LA CA   April 24th, 2008 12:00 pm ET

Nobody has pointed out that she said 'small wedding' and 'kind of big (wedding)' in the same sentence. lol. Like father like daughter huh...

Joey Vedge   April 24th, 2008 12:00 pm ET

Wow. Great. Everyone, hold on to your hats: Jenna hasn't yet decided who she'll vote for. How will you go on with your day now that this bomb has been dropped.

It's like a whole new reality I'm living in now. North is south, east is west, and west is a salmon steak.

/sarcastic.

Brian, Atlanta   April 24th, 2008 12:00 pm ET

the daughter speaks just about as well as her Dad.
It will be a small wedding- no .. make that Big- in the same sentence!

Great   April 24th, 2008 11:59 am ET

finally a Bush with brains

Mary   April 24th, 2008 11:59 am ET

Worse, she might back Shrillary ! Wait, that's the same thing.
Never mind.

Doug R.   April 24th, 2008 11:59 am ET

She's smarter than both of her parents put together times two!!

Kathy   April 24th, 2008 11:59 am ET

Who cares what she thinks. She spent her college years like her dad, drinking!!! Yeah, the Bushes sure like their controlled substances!!!

RealityKing   April 24th, 2008 11:58 am ET

Jenna, along with most college students her age, is busy studying this time of year. Finals next week ya know.... And some how Alexander Moron thinks that means she MAY NOT back McCain??

SC   April 24th, 2008 11:57 am ET

WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS ISN'T NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jessica   April 24th, 2008 11:57 am ET

How hilarious would it be if she did support Sen. Obama.

It would make my day/week.

frank texas   April 24th, 2008 11:56 am ET

obama= dukakis

Clayton   April 24th, 2008 11:56 am ET

Who cares, and why is this front page news? There are a lot more important things than what someone who has absolutely nothing personally to brag about thinks about an election.

jm   April 24th, 2008 11:56 am ET

does anyone actually believe that Obama or Hillary or any President for that matter can affect the cost of gas...it's all supply and demand.

EG FROM TORONTO   April 24th, 2008 11:56 am ET

DON'T BE TOO HARD ON THIS YOUNG LADY, JUST BECAUSE SHE CARRIES THE BUSH NAME. SHE IS OBVIOUSLY INTELLIGENT AND OPEN MINDED, UNLIKE THE CLINTON OFFSPRING, WHO IS BEING MOLDED AND INDOCTRINATED TO CARRY ON THE CLINTON'S SHAMEFUL LEGACY.

Sarah in TX   April 24th, 2008 11:55 am ET

Chelsae/Bush '08!!!

Bill   April 24th, 2008 11:55 am ET

Too busy with books... sounds a lot like ol pops claiming he's too busy to watch himself on TV.

frank   April 24th, 2008 11:55 am ET

No matter what people say. I consider George W. Bush as a good man with sound moral integrity, despite his political errors. We all make mistakes sometime in our lifetime. He is not the worst US president!

Michael Lorton, Virginia   April 24th, 2008 11:55 am ET

And the point?

Dinah   April 24th, 2008 11:55 am ET

Jenna just wants to ensure that she receives wedding gifts from both sides. She is a believable as her daddy! NOT

steve   April 24th, 2008 11:54 am ET

lots of nasty comments here. Interesting and it shows she is
gonna listen and think about it................

Justme   April 24th, 2008 11:53 am ET

The worst president in US HISTORY, with out a doubt...Jimmy Carter!

Peter   April 24th, 2008 11:53 am ET

So what? Is Jenna Bush's vote weighted more than anyone else's in this country? Another instance of the media reporting utter irrelevancies.

Mary May King   April 24th, 2008 11:52 am ET

"Of course [I am open]. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates and I'm sure that everybody's like that," she added.==

At last, a Bush with a sense of humor!

God Bless America   April 24th, 2008 11:52 am ET

Okay let's try this one. Jenna DOES NOT have to support the man who will continue in her father's folly. IS AMERICA BETTER NOW THAN WE WERE 8 YEARS AGO? JENNA HAS TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eric   April 24th, 2008 11:52 am ET

The right to freedom of speech is a great thing. But can someone tell me why there is so much venom in the online discourse

Wayne, Greenville TX   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

If Jenna comes out and endorses Barack Obama, will her daddy's head explode????

Adrienne   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

I have to say that an insinuation that all "smart" young voters know who a "true leader" is is a tad insulting. I happen to be a 21-year-old registered voter who is also a member of the honors program at a world-renowned private university, and I will most definitely be casting my ballot for John McCain this fall. The only thing that this article proves is that Jenna Bush is intelligent enough to educate herself about the candidates and their policies before voting; I sadly have to admit that a large majority of my generation (and many previous generations, apparently) refuse to educate themselves but are willing to vote for a candidate simply because of the letter appearing behind their name or else the respective demographic they fall into.

It's time for the candidates to stop touting their race and/or gender and start discussing the issues that are crucial to the survival of this country; if you are voting based on anything else, I hope you sleep through November 4th.

JV   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

Here we have another good example of the press making their own news. Who cares about the opinions of dumb and dumber? do we remember the remarkable appearance of the "president"s"" offsprings during the 2004 convention? forgive me for my poor english.
By the way I have a question. When Larry King planning to retire?

JV

Bingham   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

She is not supporting him, because she is thinking Obama or Hillary. It is because he is not "right" enough.

Sharon Minnesota   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

It never ceases to amaze me how the Obama supporters can come up with the most sarcastic, mean and abusive propaganda on ANY subject. If you don't believe me, check out all the other CNN blogs and you will get laser burns in your eyes.

That's what we have to look forward to if he ever gets the power of the presidency. His supporters will be embolden to abuse anyone at any time.
Jenna stick with your family party and support McCain. If that's not for you, you should jump ship to Hllary Clinton's side, but NEVER Barack Obama.

Porter   April 24th, 2008 11:51 am ET

Jenna Bush is undecided. Wow, thanks for the update. I won't be able to sleep until she decides. Please let us know ASAP! Or at least give us updates periodically letting us know that she still hasn't decided.

Sad Dog   April 24th, 2008 11:50 am ET

You're kidding me, CNN. THIS is what you call NEWS? Who cares what this little, young, pampered girl thinks, or any celebrity for that reason?

ANDY JACOBS   April 24th, 2008 11:49 am ET

My friend knows the bush twins and they are backing obama.

IAMWMD   April 24th, 2008 11:49 am ET

She's a lot smarter that George Dubya

Scott, Wichita   April 24th, 2008 11:49 am ET

So, why is it when she says maybe not, the press corps jumps on it, and when the daughter of certain candidate who shall remain nameless refuses to answer a legitimate question, the questioner is the one who gets jumped on?

Read it again, she never said she wouldn't be, just that she was open to all the candidates. That isn't the same as endorsing Obama, it just means that she was smart enough not to get swept up by the mindless fanatics who go around on these articles proclaiming why their candidate is best, even when it has nothing to do with the article...

Dave   April 24th, 2008 11:49 am ET

Headline: Socks and Buddy endorse Obama!!!!

I'm just saying, it would mean just as much...

rdog   April 24th, 2008 11:48 am ET

oBAMA supporter.. does she get the shiver when he speaks?

mizree   April 24th, 2008 11:48 am ET

Wow...now that's refreshing to know.

David   April 24th, 2008 11:48 am ET

Armstrong – what are you, an idiot? Jenna Bush did not say who she is voting for. She could very well be voting for McCain or Hillary or Obama. She did not say. Nothing Jenna said was courageous. She is getting ready for her wedding. What's the big courageousness there?

Cathy   April 24th, 2008 11:47 am ET

I knew there was something special about Jenna. Good thinking... and to announce her thoughts on Larry King Live...how brave.

Bendo   April 24th, 2008 11:47 am ET

Jenna Bush? who is she?

Terry, El Paso TX   April 24th, 2008 11:47 am ET

It has always bugged me that the Bush girls did not volunteer for the military. Their dad was comfortable sending our children to Iraq, but his girls were going to fancy universities and eating quiche. Now, I have no interest in what either of them thinks.

bo, NC   April 24th, 2008 11:47 am ET

Good at least she's opened her eyes to what is best for the country.

Bendo   April 24th, 2008 11:46 am ET

Jenna Bush? who is that?

Santosh-Philadelphia   April 24th, 2008 11:46 am ET

She really should have said that it's private and she's not saying. Now what's going to happen is that they are going to keep bugging her through the election to see if she made up her mind yet.

My guess is that she definitely would NOT support Obama. She's probably divided between the other 2 only b/c Clinton is a woman (which should inspire her) and plus she and her family of course know the Clintons personally and are friends even though they may criticize each other in the public arena.

But given that her fiance' is a strategist for the party, I'm sure she'll wind up supporting McCain.

Peter   April 24th, 2008 11:45 am ET

Raise your hand if you woke up this morning or yesterday morning worrying about who Jenna Bush was voting for or wondering about her wedding plans.

Coloradan   April 24th, 2008 11:45 am ET

I completely agree with "Ashaki".

Who CARES what the daughter of the WORST president in US history thinks?

Over 4000 dead soldiers, just in Iraq, none of the unemployed Bush kids volunteering to serve in the Armed Forces, and pithy comments like this.

A-B-S-U-R-D

Will   April 24th, 2008 11:45 am ET

Who cares who Ms Bush will "endorse" any more than who Amy Carter will support. this is not news.
The opinion of a twice convicted underage alcoholic, is worthless.
Maybe she's back on the bottle because she' so confused, and needs to "learn more" about the candidates." Can any Secret Service Agent please call 911, she needs help.

Chris   April 24th, 2008 11:45 am ET

"[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big,"

Could she be more like her father...another idot Bush...she`ll probably be president someday with doublespeak like that.

Richard, FL   April 24th, 2008 11:44 am ET

Finally, a Bush that is worth our respect.

Shelly from WI   April 24th, 2008 11:44 am ET

yea, she really does sound like a Closet Obama....Obamicans united lol.

Oh, all Obamains jumped immediately in.
She has not mentioned his name. Calm down.
Not everybody are in love with your golden boy as you are.
Some have more brains and they think beflore voting for arrogant smooth talker

roger   April 24th, 2008 11:44 am ET

I would hate to be like Laura Bush who has lost her identy regarding politics, her being a former democrat, ALWAYS makes it clear she is supporting the republican candidate regardless of who it is, no questions asked .....I guess it is true to become a republican you must be brainwashed...(or brain dead)

Jan From Florida   April 24th, 2008 11:44 am ET

How could the daughter of the present President not vote for a republican or does she agree with 70% of the American people that
the republicans have ruined this country?

Jay   April 24th, 2008 11:43 am ET

I love how the Obama Cult thinks that she would be voting for Obama. Please...My two daughters are smart and are voting for Hillary. They are not under his spell. Im sure Jenna is smart enough to vote for Hillary and not Obama.

Grif   April 24th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Maybe she would also (Secretly), imagine an alternative.... A Woman??

Tyler Carpenter   April 24th, 2008 11:42 am ET

Wow Jenna Bush just earned my full respect. I did not expect someone from the Bush family to be open minded about politics. I guess that just goes to show that this generation has different priorities and a clearer vision of the future.

Go Obama.

John   April 24th, 2008 11:42 am ET

So Jenna hasn't been paying attention. I guess she takes after her father.

Jose'   April 24th, 2008 11:42 am ET

Who cares?

The majority of the rest of this country will support him.

John McCain is the only one in the running capable of running this country.

Hillary and Obama are the only ones capable of RUINING it.

jamdownpete   April 24th, 2008 11:42 am ET

Yeah, I do not understand why this is news!!? Furthermore, she WILL vote Republican in November. Why are being being so gullible that she will not!???? It just makes for interesting news to say that she will not vote for McBush. Come on people!!! I expect more sense from you all.

Jay   April 24th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Who really cares what Jenna Bush thinks, the world will be better off once the bush family is out of politics

Ann   April 24th, 2008 11:41 am ET

There is no reason for older Americans to worry about the future of this country; it is in the hands of the best young people I have seen in my sixty nine years.

I am encouraged by the willingness of the young of this country to choose their leaders by quality rather than color. Just look at them at Obam functions.

I applaud the young people of this country. You will be just fine. God Bless All of You.

donny   April 24th, 2008 11:40 am ET

Maybe she's beyond smart and she'll endorse Hillary.

James   April 24th, 2008 11:40 am ET

Real worthy of news, eh? And a frontpager! Wow!

Praetorian, Fort Myers   April 24th, 2008 11:40 am ET

There are many other possibilities–rather than Democrat and Republican. She may vote Libertarian, Write-In, or other candidates that will eventually appear on the ballot.

Considering the incredibly poor options we have representing both major parties-this option has crossed my mind once or twice.

Johnny Boy   April 24th, 2008 11:39 am ET

Another spoiled rich little girl, just what the world needs, right?

Jones   April 24th, 2008 11:39 am ET

Typical CNN bias. What she said was she had not yet decided. She might not vote for Clinton or Obama either. Can CNN say that? No, because it would not make the Democratic Party point. Who runs CNN?

zig   April 24th, 2008 11:39 am ET

sad... i see comments about the worse president.. did we forget about the bay of pigs?... or wait maybe jimmy carter.. whitch who is really to blam for irag, oh wait and we cant forget nixon! on no nixon was great even tho he had to resign, oh wait and lets not forget the vietnam war shall we? man im only 18 and i know more history then adults! the youth and the adults in this nation to quit there crap, remeber there past... and shut up

Ludovic   April 24th, 2008 11:38 am ET

Mc Cain will have a very BIG problem with the young vote this fall

One of Bush's 30% of supporters   April 24th, 2008 11:38 am ET

She didn't say that she wouldn't be voting for McCain in November, so don't get too excited Obamabots. She just said she doesn't know. If you watched the program you would be able to tell that she didn't look too interested in the topic anyway. I imagine that if she votes, she will vote for the man or woman who most represents her way of thinking; whether that be to the right (McCain) to the left (Hillary) or off the charts flaming liberal leftist (Obama) is up to her. It was a good show last night.

Roger   April 24th, 2008 11:38 am ET

ARMSTRONG, NC – IN for Obama, Cammi317,

How did you get that she was backing Obama out of that? I don't care who she backs, but some Obama supporters are really sounding creepy.

Pat Huntington NY   April 24th, 2008 11:38 am ET

I'm the son of two republican parents, the brother of a republian sister, the brother in law of my sister's republican husband, and I am a loyal democrat. So, you see Jenna, you can be the smartest person in your family if you vote for the Democrat.

John Forte   April 24th, 2008 11:38 am ET

This is just a ploy for CNN to make a story so mccain gets free publicity. I thought his campaign was going bankrupt. This power crisis is rediculous.

Gail   April 24th, 2008 11:37 am ET

Oh great another young one hypnotized by Obama?

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 11:37 am ET

Is there anyone in this family that can speak without sounding like a six-year-old?

Hillarygetoutof therace   April 24th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Go Jenna the smart one in the family, hope you father and mother learn from you. You are example of new and improved generation. Change we can believe in stop the drama vote for Obama.

Thomas, Baton Rouge, LA   April 24th, 2008 11:36 am ET

too busy....

pffffffftt!
She just don't wanna dis her dad publicly....

Tom Eyemdaman   April 24th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Caption of picture says she may vote democrat – complete BS. She said she hasn't decided who she'll vote for because she hasn't been studying the issues.

CNN Spin, Spin you can count on!

Willow   April 24th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Daddy has something in common with his daughter. He's "been too busy with CROOKS to really pay that much attention."

Chip   April 24th, 2008 11:35 am ET

"very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big"... "So it's half-family and then half very close friends." ...huh? No wonder she doesn't know who to support... she probably doesn't even know who is running. And the Obama supporters here think that she "has brains"... is "brilliant"? LOL! Pathetic. Everyone immediately showers praise on anybody who supports their candidate, or in this case, just shows the slightest bit of hesitation before deciding on who she will vote for, as if it has any importance whatsoever. Sorry Obama supporters, I know Barrack has kept you in the clouds with his speeches about magic rays of sunshine, but any realist will tell you that this ditz will most likely vote for McCain in November. But no matter who she votes for, why would anybody be proud to get her support?

Viet Nam Vet   April 24th, 2008 11:35 am ET

Flip-Flop (very small, really kind of big) don't sound to smart to me,
must have been on the wrong side of the door with her dad when the
brains were handed out.

Peter   April 24th, 2008 11:35 am ET

. . . . That only means that she is voting for Senator Obama. Go Jenna.

Yes We Can.

AJ   April 24th, 2008 11:35 am ET

Who cares who Jenna Bush is backing?
She should be supporting Obama. Obama has so much in common with her father. They are both arrogant windbags who don't have what it takes to run our nation.

If not Clinton – McCain in 08

Delaware   April 24th, 2008 11:34 am ET

Here we go again. She is one of the smart republican. The man cannot even understand the economy how can he leads the nation. America be careful with John McCain because if he get elected he will ruin the country to a third world country.

Redphilly   April 24th, 2008 11:34 am ET

And Barack's a relative too!

chris24   April 24th, 2008 11:34 am ET

I'm sure she'll vote for Nader.

Redphilly   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

Finally a Bush with some common sense!

Kevin Callahan   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

And why is this news? Jenna is no pundit, has no experience, and those of us who knew her during her antics in college really don't consider her political choices to be anything resembling astute. She's a private citizen. C'mon, CNN, you can do better.

Beth   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

"[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big,"

This is the most hilarious quote I've ever read. Which is it, Jenna? A "small" or a "big" wedding??

Herman LA, CA   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

Smart choice

Cody   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

"[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big," Jenna Bush said.

So, her wedding is going to be "very small" and "kind of big?" If she was saying that their families are kind of big, then CNN didn't review this article before posting it.

Concerned Democrat   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

It's so funny to read all the posts from pissed off Republicans.

"Who Cares!"
"Is this really news"
"Worthless article"

And elated Democrats.

"Good for you Jenna"
"Closet Obama supporter"
"She's smarter than her Father"

Bayou Joe   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

And why do we need any Bush to endorse McCain. He is better off without those endorsements.

As most people her age, they have succumbed to the Obama Juice.

UT is not exactly a bastion of consevative values. So what can we expect from the indoctrination that she went through.

In the end it won't amount to a hill of beans, because McCain will beat anyone of the two Socialists running as Democrats.

Bob Indianapolis, IN   April 24th, 2008 11:33 am ET

Now that your daddy has lead our country into a failed war and brought back the spectre of the Great Depression, it's probably good to go with someone whose mantra isn't "Stay the Course."...

Mike C.   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

So is the wedding small or big? What is JB talking about here: "[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very SMALL, all relatives, our families, really, kind of BIG,?" Only the shadow knows.

Mike C.
Woodlands, TX

Darryl, Arlrington TX for Obama   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

Wow, I think it would be nice to find out they actually back Senator Obama. But we would never find out the truth.

Deepraj   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

I saw the broadcast and boy did her mom look pissed. I am ambivalent between Obama and McCain but honest to God, this girl is a complete airhead who can't articulate herself, much like her father, and her endorsement would do more harm than good.

Dave   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

Ashaki – Why are you talking about Chelsea? This article is about Jenna.

Tiachi   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

I don't like Bush, but I think it was very BRAVE of Jenna to say that she is not exactly the puppet her mother is, who hands down backed McCain while in the same breathe admitted to not following the primaries. Open-mindedness is what we need in this country. Thats the new generation we see coming up and voting for Obama.

Hillary will be President   April 24th, 2008 11:32 am ET

Jenna should vote for Hillary if she has any brains. Otherwise, stupid people can continue join the ranks of Obama and McCain.

Smart people vote for Hillary !!!!! Obama is a shameful fiasco.

Hillary '08

good for you Jenna! we know you are voting for Obama! you go girl!

Jo   April 24th, 2008 11:31 am ET

I agree that this is a worthless article. Plus, any individual who heard her interview on the Today show would know that she doesn't appear to be very intelligent. She has the oratory skills of her father and must have gotten into UT on legacy rather than her own intelligence.

Jake   April 24th, 2008 11:31 am ET

The fact that her last name is Bush and she doesn't want to support McCain can only help him. I can't believe that any of the candidates want to be connected to the worst President in the history of our country in any fashion, regardless of how tenuous that connection may be.

God Bless America   April 24th, 2008 11:31 am ET

Come on Mrs. Bush just because you are married to April's biggest Fool doesn't mean Jenna has to support the man who will continue to ruin America. IS AMERICA BETTER NOW THAN WE WERE 8 YEARS AGO? JENNA HAS TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE COUNTRY!!!!!!

Unreadable   April 24th, 2008 11:31 am ET

Sane people support Obama.

Chut Pata   April 24th, 2008 11:30 am ET

it is no brainer, all the whiz kids are backing Obama, all the cranky old ones backing Billary, and the stupid ones McBush. Jenna has to back Obama, she is too young, too smart, and too educated to do otherwise

Nancy Mengshol   April 24th, 2008 11:29 am ET

I myself am waiting to know who Jenna Bush will vote for until I make my decision. Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Price   April 24th, 2008 11:29 am ET

Good for her. Obviously an intelligent voter who looks at the facts before making her decision. We could use a lot more of that.

ECHEWEOZO   April 24th, 2008 11:29 am ET

who is she?

s   April 24th, 2008 11:29 am ET

At least she was honest. I saw them on one of the news shows, and I hate to say it but she is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Charles   April 24th, 2008 11:28 am ET

This shows that even Republicans are leary of putting another one back into office

Mike Schultz   April 24th, 2008 11:28 am ET

Man, we must be suffering for real news. Jenna Bush is not going to support John McCain? Who cares?

Miles   April 24th, 2008 11:28 am ET

Personally, I really don't care who is ultimately the Democratic Nominee because whoever it turns out to be will get my vote. Hopefully, everyone who is concerned about our once great country and the destruction wrought upon it by the GOP Administration of the last seven years will unite behind whoever is the Democratic Nominee and give him/her a landslide victory into the White House. Further, I hope that every thinking person votes Democratic for every open office in their particular location, especially if the race is for the Senate or the House of Representatives. We need to provide a Democratic President with super majorities in both Houses of Congress so that the GOP will be relegated to a meaningless entity unable to stop the reforms so desperately needed to save our country. I ask, no I beg, that everyone who loves our country and what it should truly stand for will remember what has happened over the last seven years and vow that it will never happen again. It's the least we can do for the Founding Fathers, who pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor in creating the best form of government in the history of the world. To do anything less would be treason in my view.

Grandma Moses   April 24th, 2008 11:28 am ET

BUSH-wacked!!!

What's this...eh? A defector from the royal family.

Can't you smell what Ba Rock is cookin?

Repubs are a dying breed. Halleluyah!

A little something I like to call the "O" factor...

O 8!

Amit   April 24th, 2008 11:27 am ET

NO to McWarInsane!

D Long   April 24th, 2008 11:25 am ET

Come on, CNN. Do really think that Jenna Bush's opinion is newsworthy one way or another? Must be a slow day.

Rich in Seattle   April 24th, 2008 11:25 am ET

Uh yeah, she wants to have a write in vote for "That cute guy from the OC."

I and can care less about Chelsea, and even less about the Bush Twins.

JimS.   April 24th, 2008 11:25 am ET

What makes you all so sure she's supporting Obama and not Clinton?

Tamika   April 24th, 2008 11:24 am ET

Why isnt CNN(the most watched news channel in my opinon)covering where Mr. and Mrs. Clinton are going to be tomarrow and why? Are you afraid of them like everyone else is..why isnt anyone covering "The Hillary Movie".. if this were Obama.. it would be OVER!!!!! you all should be ashamed of yourself as journalists…I am sure you wont be posting this!..people go to you tube and see the movie(full)for yourselves and wake up!!!!.. google Clinton V Paul (California April 25th 2008)…

If i get this posted it would be a miracle…and then you'd remain my MOST watched news channel(maybe)

Robert NYC & Miami   April 24th, 2008 11:24 am ET

CNN and the rest of the Media will stop at nothing to create news.

I saw Larry King and the way she answered the question did not come close to saying she may be open to support anyone else.

Besides, who cares?

With the country in an endless was, that her stupid Daddy started, and she is talking to us about her wedding.

Again, who cares.

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Who cares about Jenna Bush??? She wanted to be left alone from the media, then the minute she's trying to sell her book, she's everywhere.
Go away Jenna, no ones cares!!

ARMSTRONG   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Jenna:

You are a brilliant, smart young lady, to make this decision. You are also a very courageous.

Our two daughters will be also be voting for Barack Obama.

God Bless you and wish you all the best.

Bored   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Who gives a whoot what Jenna Bush thinks? Why would CNN think this is actually news much less of of their "Top Stories?" She's a nice enough girl, but seriously, who cares what she or any child of a politician (who is famous simply because of their parents) thinks?
Geeze. Must be a slow news day.

RK   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Who cares?????

Since when did an elected officials children have a say in politics (ie. Clintons daughter).

This election is becoming a sad situation.

I heard their second cousin twice removed has an opinion too, will CNN pick that up????

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

What a wortheless article! Who cares as to whom she will vote for?

DR   April 24th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Well said, Jenna. The University of Texas has served you well.

Scott   April 24th, 2008 11:22 am ET

Don't worry daddy's little puppet will turn it around. I am sure she will learn from Hillary and say that whatever a man does you have to OBEY their every command, despite what, or how and whoever the person does wrong. Women I applaud you now back to the kitchen and get me something to drink while I have my mistress come over

An Agnostic Democrat   April 24th, 2008 11:22 am ET

Jenna sounds just like her Grammy! "[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big," Jenna Bush said. “So it's half-family and then half very close friends."

What I'm hearing which is sort of scary is that they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this (chuckle) – this is working very well for them." –Former First Lady Barbara Bush, on the hurricane evacuees at the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 5, 2005.

UGHHHHHHHH!!!

mark   April 24th, 2008 11:22 am ET

She is smarter than her parents…. Great Jenna !!

Ruth   April 24th, 2008 11:21 am ET

According to your article, Jenna Bush DID NOT say that she was "not voting Republican" in the fall. She merely stated that she had not selected her choice. Just because she has not yet DECIDED on McCain, does not eliminate all other options besides Hillary and Obama - and we don't even know which of those will be running! You are limiting America's choice to two options, while Jenna is leading the way by pointing out to the public that we have many more available choices in our free country, that often get ignored.

mark   April 24th, 2008 11:21 am ET

She is smarter than her parents.... Great Jena !!

Katrina   April 24th, 2008 11:21 am ET

Finally a Bush with half a brain

MEGPIE   April 24th, 2008 11:21 am ET

She wants Obama!

Dennis   April 24th, 2008 11:20 am ET

Thank you Jenna. We all need to select the best candidate. With being so close to politics and yet having an open mind on who will do best for this country, I am impressed.

Jaret   April 24th, 2008 11:20 am ET

Well, that was certainly something the world was wondering about.

Hats off to the quality investigative journalists at CNN for getting to the bottom of this vital case. Perhaps now you can move on to even more vital questions such as who Brittney Spears or Paris Hilton might not vote for.

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 11:19 am ET

A very small, but really big wedding.

This family is a disgrace.

YOLANDA   April 24th, 2008 11:19 am ET

I GUESS THEY DON'T THINK A WOMAN SHOULD BE A PRESIDENT IN THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS.

HOW SHAMEFUL TO BE A WOMAN IN THIS COUNTRY TODAY.

uncle Jimbo - Chicago   April 24th, 2008 11:19 am ET

Who cares what Jenna thinks. Her dad has successfully destroyed our economy, crippled our military and turned the US from being an inspiration to the world, to being a despised militaristic expansionist.. Like it was predicted eight years ago, he will do for the US what he did in Texas as Governor, wreck everything. None of the GHWBush siblings have ever had to accept responsability for any of their actions. Why should Jenna be any different.

semp   April 24th, 2008 11:19 am ET

Damm ... I guess John shud just withdraw now?

Chuck   April 24th, 2008 11:18 am ET

How funny. Maybe she will vote democratic this year. That would be something.

I also noticed today that CNN political page has a donation spot for Hillary Clinton. Whats with that? Is CNN backing Hillary for President now days?

Obama 08   April 24th, 2008 11:18 am ET

Who, young man or woman, in their right mind, interested in the future of this country would want to back these 2 old candidates (MacCain and Clinton) for president? None and I dont blame her.

morgan   April 24th, 2008 11:18 am ET

Amazing . . . a Bush with a brain.

The Corp   April 24th, 2008 11:16 am ET

Have you ever heard this ding-bat speak? Typical of todays misdirected youth – no wonder they lean Democratic, and more so for an empty suit, socialist such as Obama.

cj   April 24th, 2008 11:15 am ET

Please tell my anyone would care about who Jenna Bush is voting for in the general election?

R. and C. Barnes   April 24th, 2008 11:15 am ET

Good girl Jenna. Vote Democrat :) !!

Gotta love Mrs. Bush though. She made sure to spin that conversation back into a positive light for her party.

May Ms. Jenna have a beautiful wedding and bright, happy future.

Anonymous   April 24th, 2008 11:14 am ET

The apple didn't fall far from the tree. What an empty head.

peace   April 24th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Add Jenna to the long list of first daughters who will be voting for Obama.

Bridgette   April 24th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Well dah. None of the Republicans like him. They are looking for a third party candidate as we speak.

Independent   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

She's been too busy with books?! Sigh. Seriously – how can you be the First Daughter and have absolutely no clue about a major, historic presidential election?

john j   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

who cares? what a dingbat....

Carolina   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

It's refreshing to see that Jenna's an independent thinker, rather than just a carbon copy of her parents' choices. She's probably gotten a lot of flak from friends and put in the position of 'defending' her daddy's wars since many of the troops are her own age.

We wish her luck in her upcoming nuptials.

Tony Z- MD   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

She knows she supports Obama. She clearly see what has happened to the US under the Bush Administration.

George   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

This really is a non-story but CNN must fill their pages.

Still, McCain must be thanking his lucky stars. The way the War, the Economy and the Housing market are doing do you really want anyone with the last name Bush supporting you?

Anyway, if she carries is half as dumb as her father she probably would never make a rally... ...she'd get lost.

Brian G   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

Well, at least one Bush is showing some good sense and something other than tunnel vision!

Pat   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

Ok, Jenna, after all McCain has done to back your Dad – thanks a bunch for your great Bush loyalty! Boo!

Obama 08   April 24th, 2008 11:13 am ET

She is so cute! She sounds like she is down to earth person and does not have a snobbish personality.

Danny   April 24th, 2008 11:12 am ET

Who care.......we even don't need you or your families support anyway.
Bushy families is not good at all.

Jano   April 24th, 2008 11:12 am ET

Well, that explains it.!!! The Bush family has been busy with the WEDDING and that is why our country is in such a ppor state. Weddings are DEFINITELY more important than whether this country "goes to ruin". I am so glad they set this straight.

Bizzle, California   April 24th, 2008 11:11 am ET

Once you go black....

al-des moines   April 24th, 2008 11:11 am ET

Who cares?

NickNas   April 24th, 2008 11:10 am ET

Though the younger Bush conceded she has "been too busy with books to really pay that much attention."

MILLIONS of students nationwide are more active than ever before in politics. Registering in record numbers in the Biggest election in decades.

Here we have yet another BUSH too busy to pay attention. It HAS to be in the Genes.

seattle sue   April 24th, 2008 11:10 am ET

I for one could not care less what any Bush thinks! Jenna Bush should just close her mouth around that Silver spoon, that she has been sucking on since birth.

Unshrub   April 24th, 2008 11:08 am ET

Maybe she is waiting to endorse Obama.

Brooke   April 24th, 2008 11:08 am ET

Again, how is this news? Who Jenna Bush is going to vote for could matter less to me.

Sharon54   April 24th, 2008 11:07 am ET

That is the Greatest thing about America, Freedom of choice and privacy of voting.

NC - IN for Obama   April 24th, 2008 11:07 am ET

Jenna is 'secretly' backing Sen. Obama.
Maybe even a contribution or two :)
The Smart young ones knows a true Leader!
The old one is stuck in the past with the same 'old' mentality now we payin $4 for gas n milk whats next? Lines for toilet tissue and bread?

RFP   April 24th, 2008 11:07 am ET

And this is news, why...?

jo   April 24th, 2008 11:06 am ET

At least we have one Bush member with brains.

Kayne DeGrenier   April 24th, 2008 11:06 am ET

She should endorse him

Cammi317   April 24th, 2008 11:04 am ET

Sounds like a closet Obama supporter to me!!! LOL

Army Wife   April 24th, 2008 11:03 am ET

==Hillary voted Yes to the Iraq War. In my view she's always a Loser=

Ashaki   April 24th, 2008 11:01 am ET

Who cares what the daughter of the worst president in US history thinks about anything?

Ron, TX   April 24th, 2008 11:01 am ET
