Jenna Bush may not back McCain

Laura Bush and daughter Jenna appeared on CNN's Larry King Live Thursday.
Laura Bush and daughter Jenna appeared on CNN's Larry King Live Thursday.

(CNN) - President Bush was quick to endorse John McCain when the Arizona senator wrapped up his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

But another Bush might not be so sure.

Speaking with CNN's Larry King Wednesday night, Jenna Bush said she hasn't decided yet who she will vote for in November.

"I don't know," Jenna Bush, daughter of President and Mrs. Bush, said when asked if she will back McCain.

"Of course [I am open]. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates and I'm sure that everybody's like that," she added.

Though the younger Bush conceded she has "been too busy with books to really pay that much attention."

Meanwhile, mother Laura Bush was quick to affirm that she will be voting for the Republican candidate in the fall.

The two appeared on the show to discuss Jenna Bush's upcoming wedding next month.

"[It will be] outdoors, very small wedding, you 'know, very small, all relatives, our families, really, kind of big," Jenna Bush said. “So it's half-family and then half very close friends."

    Another "Who REALLY cares?!"

As if Jenna Bush's opinion matters-–she's an oil snob like her father.

Are you kidding me, she's on a BOOK TOUR. She'll say anything to please any potential customer. Whatever, she realizes this is her last chance to sell, sell, sell. When Bush leaves the WH she'll have to pay to get publicity. Now everything is free, free, free.

Nobody goes on Larry King and talks about a "private wedding" unless they're hawking something.

Scott, You are and Ignorant and Offensive human being for your post, that is bar far one of the most disgusting things I have read in any response to an article this year. As a man, I pray that my future wife and possibly daughters would never obey me for the sake of fear. Women must be treated with dignity and respect, and your comment was abhorrent. Jenna Bush has every right to choose who ever she wants despite what mommy and daddy have to say about the matter. If she chooses McCain in the end then so be it, but at least she has shown the willingness to keep an open mind to All the Candidates. I am an Obama supporter, but will not hesitate to back Clinton in the general election should she get the nomination despite all the negativity that has surrounded her campaign because when it comes down to the issues that matter to myself and this nation, both Obama and Clinton are a far cry better than McCain, so God Bless Jenna for showing the willingness to be open to a possibility that will lead our country to a better tomorrow.

Furthermore, How do the moderators at CNN allow someone to post such a demeaning comment? That absolutely sickens me.

This is not a smart woman. She's hawking her books, that's it. She couldn't care less about politics. I think baby Bush is realizing there's life after the White House, even though her dad and his family have tanked their reputation.

    She is an OBAMA supporter.

The YOUTH is turning the hearts of their parents as we have learned during this Campaign.

SCOTT: Interesting post. Looks like somebody needs attention. OK..here ya go: if your penis is the size of your brain, no woman in your life, including your fictitious mistress will ever know the meaning of 'satisfied'. No go play with scissors...

if you actually saw the interview in stead of just reading the spin, you saw a young woman who was caught off guard by the question and didn't commit one way or the other. Remember when you were 25 and you were planning a wedding AND traveling all over the place promoting your work and it was all going to happen in the next 2 weeks? Give the girl a break - she may just be a typical American with more on her mind than who the Democrats are supporting for President. You can be sure that her endorsement one way or the other is not being pursued by either Democratic candidate.

And here everyone thought the twins were partying, wild Texas girls...Maybe they did learn something in college. It must be hard to have such an idiot for a father. At least Jenna may have her head on straight.

Can we say book tour boys and girls? It's a great day in the Bush neighborhood, where I hear there isn't a recession.

I hope she is being honest. If so, it is encouraging to know that not everyone in the Bush family was born without a brain.

What is wrong with all of you. You don't even know this young woman. Bashing her or thinking for her is where your own brain level is. You people are not very smart.

Who cares who she backs. Any opinion by any member of the Bush family is a waste of perfectly good air.

Libertarian? Well, we have today's "Joke of the Day". It's rather obvious that she's not voting for that old fool McCain. And since she isn't a white, ill-educated male from Pennsylvania, A.K.A., "New Alabama", she's probably not leaning toward the Billary couple who are currently planning their coronation.

That leaves her with the best educated, most articulate, decisvie, and least annoying candidate who speaks best for her generation and the nation's multi-cutural future. Of course the guy from Fort Myers will say Ron Paul, who upholds the tradition of the Libertarians by gathering a whopping . 00001% of the vote as usual.

She's voting for Barack Obama. So she must have the only brains in the Bush beans family.

LOL, I think it's funny that in the background of the picture, on the side of the plane, partially visible is "State of America". I know it really says "United States of America", but I love the irony. The State of America is not very good, to put it mildly.
