thanks for the non-story. from the context of the interview, it appears she's not really that engaged in politics and hasn't given the presidental race much thought. she basically seemed nervous and vague in her answers to questions on most topics. but what the hell, let's twist it around and fabricate a news story out of it. nothing new.

Apparently she inherited her father's speaking abilities. She flip-flops twice in one run-on sentence! First the wedding is very small, then kind of big. First just family, then family AND friends. Relevant? Probably not. Funny? Indeed.

Also, she is rather idealistic and naive to think that most people care to learn about the candidates. I would estimate that over 2/3 of our country simply "votes for the home team," be it Rep or Dem, or at least votes based on one or two hot-button issues that never get resolved (abortion, immigration, etc).

The "too busy" excuse is lame, not to mention a poor example. All of the big 3 have websites with their stances on them. So unless she also plans to review campaign contributions, which is generally more important in policy-making decisions than the platforms the politicians tout to win voters, time (being too busy) shouldn't be an issue.

I enjoyed the independent nature of this girl.
It does take some guts to say I am undecided and open to the candidates in her position.
I also like what she said about TX being home, and deciding to have her wedding at Home.
She also was very open about Chelsea Clinton.
All and all it reflects that Bush the parents are very open and don’t pressure their kids to obey by the parents politics.

Everyonle in this Country has the right to vote the way they want to. No one has the right to impose their will on anyone for any reason. I am not a Republican, but I do defend her right to choose. She was put on the spot to answer and rather than lie she said how she felt. Good for her. I am a Hillary supporter, but whomever she chooses will be her God given right. Period!!

Oh my god! Why is this even a story. She makes a comment that she is too busy with her wedding plans and selling her book and CNN makes this a Headline Story. Shame on CNN. We have a lot more pressing issues than comments made on Larry King Live.

i love my dad, respect him, and if someone bashed him, i'd bash them right back. but i would also vote against him in a split second if he was responsible for many kids not being able to do the same as i because their dad is one of the thousands dead because of his wars and policies.. these other kid's never got a chance to love or respect their dad.
that's the family picture... my dad respects my decision since he understands respect is a two way street.

Hey, "I Call it respect"...

Respect is something you must earn, even parents must earn the respect of their children, it is not and should not be forced upon anyone. Parents earn the respect of their children when children are allowed to spread their own wings and fly. It is the parents duty to be there for their children and encourage free thought. That is what makes a happy and stable human being.

GWB (I can't even bring myself to spell out his name) has LOST the respect of the American people. Again, respect is something you earn. Hillary has lost respect for all her negativity and lies. Obama HAS earned the respect from the American electorate because he has tried to keep positive and on the higher road throughout all of this, and he will bring honor and repsect to the White House.

I have gathered some numbers based on the democratic primary to show what will happen in November if Obama is the nominee.

The democratic primary is different as it shares delegates based on percentage but in the general election it is winner takes all in each state. Each state won is that many delegates to winning the overall count. So if we treat the democratic primary just like the general election this is what we are looking at against McCain.

I have taken each state that has won by Obama or Clinton and given all the delegates of that state to the majority winner. I even gave Obama all the upcoming states and made him the winner giving him the delegates from them. I did not include Florida or Michigan to avoid any argument. This includes Guam and others that are counted in the democratic primary. This is only actually won states and future states given to Obama:

Obama won 37 "states"
Hillary won 17 "states"

However in a general election setting:

Obama delegate count: 1486
Hillary delegate count: 1750

If you count Florida and Michigan which Hillary won and polls show that even if Obama campaigned in those states Hillary would have won them at that time:

Obama delegate count: 1486
Hillary delegate count: 2118

If we gave Florida to Obama and Michigan to Hillary as polls suggest a primary today would give them:

Obama delegate count: 1692
Hillary delegate count: 1907

The bottom line is that Hillary has won in a general election model based on primaries of the democratic party and even giving Obama all the next primary states coming up. The reason Hillary won is she won all the big states practically? These states are historically won by the Republican party as to why Bush beat Kerry in 2004. Therefore if Obama cannot win the big states that Republicans tend to win he has no chance against McCain in the general election. Hillary has the only chance of being a democratic president in 2008.

So do you want a Republican in office or do you want a Democrat. The choice is clear who is more electable in November.
