Obama picks up Oregon superdelegate

Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.
Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.

(CNN) - Oregon Rep. David Wu said Thursday he will cast his superdelegate vote for Barack Obama.

"I think we are blessed to have two strong candidates for president," Wu said in a statement released by Obama's campaign. "I am endorsing Barack Obama for president today because I believe that he is best suited to turn the page on this sorry episode in American history. He and I both had the judgment to oppose the Iraq War from the very beginning.

Wu, a five term congressman, is one of the party's nearly 800 superdelegates who will ultimately decide who gets the Democratic presidential nomination. He is the second Oregon superdelegate to endorse Obama ahead of the state's May 20 primary - Rep. Earl Blumenauer endorsed the Illinois senator earlier in the year.

Clinton also has two Oregon superdelegates in her camp - Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley.

All we need now is the Ku Klux Klan to endorse Obama. Every other idiot has.

Give it a rest. Obama cannot win in high electoral states. No matter how you word these questions, he cannot win a national election. Winning in republican controlled states does not fool most democratic voters.

Its absolutely strange to hear that a tennisplayer who is winning most GAME SETS meaning most points during A tennis game has to be declaired a loser just because It happens to be his or her first time to play in a Wembly Tournament , this is happening right infront of our eyes on CNN as we are watching and following WITH intreste in Democracy of the United States, now The United States Democratic party in Hillary Clinton campain they have a different way of how a winner should be described. You know a long long time a ago a SHORTER SISTER refused to recognise the height of TALLER BROTHER just because SHE was OLDER than HIM this resulted into a family fued and a split . but the brother stayed tall no matter the sisters REFUSAL of accepting his HEIGHT.
think again freinds in Democratic Party,
    BARACK means BLESSINGS -IN SWAHILI

Clinton would have won in penn due to demographics like we heard.
But if more super delegates are turning to Obama even after he lost in the purported big state we should take a closer look at the man Obama. He sure has something which clinton does not.

  12. Whatever

Jeez! Obama can say anything and people will buy it. 1 of the 3 Oregon delegates signs on with him, but you'd think he'd slam-dunked the party nomination the way it's being reported. One second they say let the popular vote decide, the next thing they say let the super delegates do the deed. Both sides are just as guilty as the other on this, but the truth is - this race is still too close to call, so get over it. Noone's in a position to either concede or do their victory dance. Let this thing play out the way it plays out. Anything other than that smacks of dirty politics. That is the democratic way. Calling it before the votes are in doesn't work. That's the sort of thing that put Dubya in the White House.

For all you Hillary Supporters, North Carolina and Indiana will be the end of the race. The new Newsweek National poll has Obama opening up a 20% lead. The reality is that despite the spin on the part of the Hillary Clinton campaign, the expectation was that Hillary would blow out Obama in Pennsylvania. That did not happen. Barrack Obama got 45% of the vote in a state that is more than 75% white. He is well positioned for an absolute thumping of Hillary in North Carolina. Hillary needs a lot of superdelegates to defect to her side "NOW." If it doesn't happen now, in 2 weeks, it will be painfully obvious that she is twice as unelectable as Obama. I believe that Obama will obtain more than 65 percent of the NC vote. I might be conservative. However, that would mean that he will get 75 of NC's 115 delegates by proportion. This would net him about 40 delegates. Hillary only had a net gain of 12 in PA. Folks, it is over! The fat lady has sun! The boat has departed the harbor!

If the rest of the state's delegates are split 50-50 or average 50-50. Obama needs about 100 more superdelegates to clinch the nomination.

Hillary's momentun is only on TV pundits. They are being lobbied by the Clinton campaign to push positives about her and ignore her negatives.
Watch, do you see how the Bosnia story disappeared quickly? They are still talking about the bitter comment. The good thing is, they don't control who actually votes. Obama will win. That's just a bitter fact. Sorry pundits! You too.

I just love all the immature Clinton supporter who keep threatening to vote for McCain if they don't get what they want in the primaries. Please grow up.

I do have an idea where all the Clintonite venom comes from. Just ask me about all the disrespectful behavior and bigotted comments I had to put up with campaigning for Senator Obama in Philly. I did not see one instance of Obama supporters abusing Clinton suppoters in the eight days I was there, but plenty from Hillary supporters.

Rolling out endorsements after crushing defeats seems so transparent. First it was Judas Bill Richardson after bad losses in TX & OH now its this WU guy after the slaughter in PA.

1.2 Million just endorsed Hillary in PA and those speak louder than MR Wu's or Judas Bills endorsements.

Go Hillary all the way in 08!!!!

Roy P... he will win in ALL of the Dem states no matter whether Clinton won them in the primary or not. He will also win the "battleground" states that he won in the primaries. He will have all of the Dems (less the racist), most of the Independents, and many, many Republicans. Look at the numbers... Dems are out-voting the GOP 4-1 +... this is a Democratic year, we WILL have a Democrat president. this year... and it WILL be OBAMA !!! Just start getting used to the idea.
