Obama picks up Oregon superdelegate

Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.
Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.

(CNN) - Oregon Rep. David Wu said Thursday he will cast his superdelegate vote for Barack Obama.

"I think we are blessed to have two strong candidates for president," Wu said in a statement released by Obama's campaign. "I am endorsing Barack Obama for president today because I believe that he is best suited to turn the page on this sorry episode in American history. He and I both had the judgment to oppose the Iraq War from the very beginning.

Wu, a five term congressman, is one of the party's nearly 800 superdelegates who will ultimately decide who gets the Democratic presidential nomination. He is the second Oregon superdelegate to endorse Obama ahead of the state's May 20 primary - Rep. Earl Blumenauer endorsed the Illinois senator earlier in the year.

Clinton also has two Oregon superdelegates in her camp - Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley.

The steady momentum of super delegates to Obama has not made the news. That is without doubt the truth.
However it seems prcisely the point that shoud be making the news. Come to think of it. It is the only argument Clinton has for staying in the race and that is to get the attention of the superdelegates. YET IT IS NOT MAKING THE NEWS.
    Do you know WHY.

IT WILL NOT BE BENEFICIAL TO BARRACK OBAMA> So let us BELITTLE it.
    Thank YOU CNN

Rep Wu – Thank you for echoing the overwhelming call of your constituancy here in Oregon. Record numbers of Independents and republicans are switching parties to join you in your support of Senator Obama. I am one of those recent converts and we will remember your support when it comes time to reelect you.

Former republican for Obama in 08!

No Jim they are finally making a decision based on fact. Her win in PA did not give her enough to overtake his numbers of pledged delegates. Her win in PA was not a big win. She threw plenty at him and it did not bring him down enough for her to take over. PA only proved that she has no chance.
Your comment about him buying him. Why would you say that? Because he is raising lots of money. Hillary raised and spent more money than him consistently in this contest until he started winning contest after contest. That is when he started making significantly more money then her. So how did the shoe in spend so much and still lose?

PERSONALLY I HOPE THAT EIGHTER CLINTON OR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ENLIGHTEN THE PEOPLE OF THE USA. REGARDING OBAMA. THE FACT THAT HE IS GOOD SPEAKER AND CAN CAPTIVATE AN AUDIANCE DOES NOT IMPRESS ME MUCH. THERE HAVE BEEN PEOPLE IN THE PAST THAT HAVE UNFORTUNATLY DONE THE SAME AND THE WORLD SUFFERED FOR IT. QUESTIONS NEED TO BE ANSWERED ABOUT SEN. OBAMA NOW, NOT WHEN IT'S TO LATE. HIS FIRST FUND RAISER WAS GIVEN BY A MAN WHO 'S ORGANISATION TOOK CREDIT FOR BOMBING HIS OWN COUNTRY AND HE WAS QUOTED AS SAYING HE WISHED THEY'D DONE MORE. HE IS INDEPTED TO SYRIAN BORN AND RAISED TONY REZKO RE HIS HOUSE DEAL A MAN CHARGED WITH AMONGS OTHER THINGS MONEY LAUDERING.( I'D CHECK HIS CAMAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS) THROW IN REV WRIGHT AND FARRAKAN AND YOU HAVE TO WONDER IS THIS JUST COINSIDENCE OR A PATERN. HOW DOES A REASONABLY INTELIGENT PERSON MIGRATE TO THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE

The same way obviously unintelligent people migrate to Hillary and McCain. You know....folks like you.

Wow, what a surprise – blatant racism being expressed in Clinton supporters' statements. Who would have known?

    Obama avoids debates…

    He can deliver good speeches…

The advantage is that he can bring leaders from Iran, Syria and other countries and give them a lecture…

LOTS OF TIME WILL BE SAVED….

THIS IS THE CHANGE OBAMA IS TALKING ABOUT…
