Obama picks up Oregon superdelegate

Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.
Rep. Wu is supporting Obama.

(CNN) - Oregon Rep. David Wu said Thursday he will cast his superdelegate vote for Barack Obama.

"I think we are blessed to have two strong candidates for president," Wu said in a statement released by Obama's campaign. "I am endorsing Barack Obama for president today because I believe that he is best suited to turn the page on this sorry episode in American history. He and I both had the judgment to oppose the Iraq War from the very beginning.

Wu, a five term congressman, is one of the party's nearly 800 superdelegates who will ultimately decide who gets the Democratic presidential nomination. He is the second Oregon superdelegate to endorse Obama ahead of the state's May 20 primary - Rep. Earl Blumenauer endorsed the Illinois senator earlier in the year.

Clinton also has two Oregon superdelegates in her camp - Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley.

Why isn't there a CNN headline every time Senator Clinton picks up a super delegate? They need to change their name to ONN. They have anointed their hero and will manipulate data any way possible to give the arrogant windbag a boost. CNN is to Obama what Fox is to Republicans

For all of you folks who says they will go to mccain if hillary doesn't win, check out the huffington report. McCain voted against equal pay for women. Says it will cause too many lawsuits. Do you still think he's a better choice than obama?

Jim from Indiana – He doesn't have to buy them. They're seeing who is playing the negative, same old politics of fear and want change! I know I do.

Isn't this 3 supers SINCE Pennsylvania for Obama and only 1 for Clinton? Wonder why she's not talking about these numbers – oh wait, that's because she can't spin/twist this one beyond recognition.

People like you and comments like yours are exactly why this country has lost its status in the global interaction. Poor judgement on your part but I guess poor judgement is what most Clinton supports have in common.

  16. Change Rules, So I Can't Lose

This isn't about Obama, it's about America, and what kind of country we want. One that changes the rules because they can't win with the existing rules in place. Or one that adheres to the rules that were set by the DNC. It's your choice America.

I am a huge Obama supporter because I truly believe that he will be the best President that this country has ever seen.
I am amazed though, that people continue to vote for Hillary when they know she can not catch Obama in Delegates or the popular vote or States won so far.
I heard an interesting comment from a Pundit on the news yesterday saying that the only way she can win is by destroying Senator Obama and making this race really ugly.
I wouldn't put these kind of tactics past them. If anyone saw Bill Richardson and James Carville on Larry King last night, well, Bill Richardson said it best when he said that the Clinton's think the throne is theirs and will do anything to take it back because they think they are entitled.
James Carville is a snake and gets away with comments about Obama running and hiding from debates and running from wanting Floriday and Michigan to re-vote. I can't believe the media don't call him on this or allow Obama supporters to respond.
Obama does not run from debates and he will seat the delegates from those two States but it must be done in a fair way.
Believe me, Hillary certainly would not want them counted if she had lost the votes. She is so transparent in hos devious and what a liar she is.
She is only staying in this race because her campaign is so much in debt, so keep sending her your hard earned money foolish people while she leaves her millions in the bank. Wake up Ameria
