Nancy Pelosi says that now because she is really supporting Obama and does not like Hillary. If Hillary wins this she will change her tune overnight. It is time for the Super delegates to come to their senses and stop trying to shove Obama down the party's throat. Hillary is ahead in the poplular vote and is the only one strong enough to take on McCain. Have we not learned that when we put up a candidate who is perceived as super liberal, an elitist, out of touch and less than patriotic We always lose. Not this time. It is time to send Obama back to us here in Illinois. We are used to empty suits in the Illinois statehouse

At first i thought both on same ticket was a good idea, but after how clinton has conducted herself with this win at all cost politics, i bet you she will be the worst candidate ever in AMERICA'S history the only reason the democrats will not win the presidecy come november is if she is on any of the tickets. Believe me this woman is dangerously annoying.

McCain needs to stop picking apples from the bottom of the barrel. There are plenty of good apples left on the vine by Barak and Clinton.
They are hard working taxpayers that don't give a crap about being Democrats or Republicans. They want a person with a good heart and the Cojones to use our military power to benefit not only the United States but also freedom loving people all over the world.

I believe that you are that kind of man, so don't disappoint me by failing to place the blame directly on the people of New Orleans and the State Goverment that failed to take care of them during and after the crisis.

Hurry up and rebuild New Orleans so that they can tear it down again.
Maybe the next time a hurricane is headed to NO, they will have enough common sense to leave.

Speaker Pelosi and John Dean should set an example by
making their own choice for candidate clear to the DNP at this point.....Asking Super-delegates to speed up the process
is slowed by those choosing to hide out until no risk is involved.

I love Pelosi....maybe she can finesse an Obama- Edwards....a dream ticket without the divisive personality of Clinton. By now, Edwards should be able to see clearly Clinton's almost pathological ambition...or he isn't the man we thought he was and voted for.

If Barack does not win I will not vote for Hillary, and I will write Barack name on the ballot. I do not want to see them together at all; Hillary has divided this country because she knows she could do it and get a way with it.

With Hillary as VP we might have some unwanted sniper fire, and considering the economy is the most pressing issue coming up in this election she'll knock us back to the stone age if she has anything to say like she has her campaign. I thought the whole agenda of the democratic party this election was to defeat the narrow-minded fear mongering politics of the Bush-era. With Hillary anywhere near the oval office, that mode of thinking is screaming "Four More Years." I am glad that her blind automaton followers swear they will vote for McCain in the general election; at least that scenario has Hillary far away from the ticket, and while McCain is a far cry from Obama, he above and beyond the filth of Hillary.

I am very disappointed in some of my fellow Americans who are smart enough to know how the political system works to disavow and demonize someone for political purposes. You take phrases, words and you emphasize the statements with a negative connotation. The Rev. was speaking to a certain group of people who understood exactly what he was saying and his meaning. Those who do not choose to understand use those same words and phrases to mean something completely opposite. That is America's language.

And no one wants a "joint" ticket. There would be such a huge outcry if that were to take place, that it be would be detrimental for the entire political system.

Obama is trying not to do any "biting", but if he doesn't he is considered "weak". He is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't. What I have seen out of the Clintons have turned me sour with the Clintons. I backed Bill when he went through his "mess" while in the White House and prayed for Hillary to stand strong, but now I see the "real" Clintons; and I can't stand what I see. The smell makes me sick! Boy when this is over, I hope the Clintons will be able to look themselves in the mirror without those fake smiles.

I would like to make a comment about Obama's pastor. One of the many things he said that people found offensive was that hillary had an edge over obama because she was white.

Now, let's check the facts: in a poll, 8 % white Americans say they are not ready to vote for a black simply because of his skin color.
0% black Americans say they are not ready to vote for a white simply because of his/her skin color.

Are the people who found the comment offensive in denial or what?

Can Pelosi really be as stupid as she sounds? Apparently so. The shear hypocracy and idiocy of her statement in the second paragraph is breathtaking, even for a flaming liberal.

Her constituency must be even lamer than she is, were that possible.

With all the poison Hillary has sprayed towards Barack, I can't imagine anyone would want to partner with her. I really like Nancy Pelosi. Like many others I think that would be the dream ticket--Obama and Pelosi.

I have seen recent polls today and Obama is below John McCain and yes Hillary Clinton. People posting have no facts and continue to believe its Hillary's fault Obama cant win now. The true facts are what everyone in Obamas camp have said on numerous occasions that America has heard. We also see the fact that he has relationships with people that some do not trust. That is no ones fault but Obamas. Get a grip move on. His deficits hurt him on his own and would destroy them if they were a ticket.

I don't know why anyone would think it's a good idea, they've both gone after each other pretty hard so I think it would be better they not.

Can anyone tell me why Hillary wasn't concerned about Michigan and Florida days after the primaries there and now all of sudden she's "winning", nice spin she put on it.
I think if the party had already agreed not to count those votes they should have enough ethic and moral to abide by that.

A joint ticket only helps Hillary. Obama is winning this thing fair and square, and I don't think any one can argue that he hasn't been. For Hillary to be "given" the nomination in Denver, she would have to have Obama on the ticket, there has to be some compromise. I hope I am right about Obama's character and he would not accept. When he wins the nomination he doesn't owe it to Hillary, so he doesn't need her as his VP. He can ask John Edwards, there is the blue collar vote, or even Bill Richardson, heavy on Foreign Policy expirience.

What a JOKE!

If there were a joint ticket, it would have to be Clinton/Obama.

Obama is still an untested babe in the woods who has done nothing but campaign for President. As evidenced by his egotistical responses regarding any slot but President, he clearly thinks he is too good to be VP which is such a joke it isn't even funny.

gee nancy, hoping for an obama or clinton/pelosi ticket by any chance!?!??!

the reason anyone even suggests an obama/clinton is so we can GUARANTEE a win against McFlippityFloppity!!!

if we dems could actually come together and be DEMOCRATIC we'd stand a better chance of doing that MUST be done in november---defeating the same ol'-same ol' failures that mccain supports!

come on people, dont you remember, we are the NICE ones. this "i'll vote for mccain or not at all" talk is crazy and non-sensical---and THOSE are the traits of the mccain/bushies!!!!

come on back over to the bright side, we forgive you for your brief lapse in sanity, let's all focus on BEATING THE REPUBS and fighting against their greedy failed policies and future plans!

Good going, Speaker Pelosi. Why should Clinton give up a Senate seat to join the "you die, I fly" club? Conversely, why would Obama want a Vice-President AND a former President right behind him probably looking to pounce at any moment.

I'll state my preferences right now. General Wesley Clark would make a good V-P candidate for her. They trust each other, his reputation is sterling and has great military knowledge plust few negatives!

For Obama, Bill Richardson as his broad experience would be a great plus not to mention it would help with the Hispanic vote. Also, "plucking" another Senator from the slim Democratic majority doesn't seem wise. The cries you just heard are from Evan Bayh who wants the V-P job so badly he's salivating.

Only twice in my life 77 years have I had such a negative feeling toward a person as I have against Hillary Clinton, once when Nixon was running and the second time was during the first and second terms of the Bush administration. every word they uttered made me feel like they were talking to a bunch idiots. Needless to say the Nixon and Bush were both disasters.

I will never vote for any ticket if Clinton's name is on it.
Her campaign and scorched earth strategy have destroyed any respect I might have had for her at the beginning.
By the time this is over, and she emerges the clear loser, the Clinton legacy will be seriously damaged.

Why do you think Barry Obama has gotten all the votes he has. The republicans crossed over and voted for him. They know Hillry would kill them in the General. You haven't seen nor heard of the negative truthful facts about him yet. The public hasn't been allowed to see or hear of it. Why do you think he does not want to Debate anymore. If Hillry won I would hope he was not on the ticket and if he was to win I hope she would not be on the ticket. I would have to vote another way.

America still lives with an "impeached past-president"-- Bill Clinton.
American still lives with an Administration that lies to them daily-- Bush.

Why have people not left America for another nation beacuse of these things?
Why do people continue to live in American with all the "hate for minorities," including women's rights?
Why is Hillary still living with a man that has been unfaithful for years in more ways or with an impaeched president?

Now, how can American expect Obama to take responsibility for the sins of an adult-- Rev Wright?

Way too early to be discussing vp candidates or even (heaven forbid) a joint ticket... After Peter Paul, she may not even be available for either job unless she's given some kind of work-release program. Not sure they do that for the position she's applying for, however.

I cannot believe that this is being brought up again. I think Pelosi must have some kind of impairment. What is not to understand. No one wants to see Obama and Hillary on the same ticket. Especially not Obama and Hillary.

PS: Hillary is not the devil, is not bringing down the democratic party, and does not have to listen to the stupid remarks about her. Obama is not going to do anything "wonderful" now or later, so get off of your soap box Obama supporters. If he really had what it takes, he WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT BY NOW.

Actualy an Obama/Hillary ticket would work. Hillary would have to be the VP though. Her Socialist Health Care plan has already been rejected by the voters and would drive away votes.

Pelosi reminds me of one of those old ladies who keeps repeating the same story. She needs to just shut up because nobody wants to listen to her. She should step down from house majority leader.

Originally, I actually voted for Hillary in the CA primaries with the idea of the "ideal" ticket being Hillary/Obama. Obama could take over in 8 years after getting his sea legs.

Then, the more I listened to Obama, and watched his ability to bring people together I realized he was the best choice as the president who would lead us out of these dark times. But, I started toying with the idea of Hillary being VP. Obama would be the leader, the visionary, the voice, and HC would basically do the day to day stuff and give Obama the time to really unite.

Then, I heard Hillary proclaim that we would "obliterate" Iran if it moved on Israel...and I watched her start with the kitchen sink, then move onto the stove, the fridge, the microwave, all the silverware, and how I hear she's ripping out the plumbing.

Obama should pick his own VP. Hillary, you've worn out your welcome in my book. By the time this is over, she may have difficulty getting back her senate seat.
Sad...

These two names should not be on the same ticket. He has not the experience or the integrity to be Vice President. Hillary is very intelligent, experienced, and loves the American people!

The truth is hard...She repeated it several times, so that no body will think she mis spoke.
Hillary should not be rewarded for her negativity and for dividing the democratic party.

Pelosi nailed it

Bottom line Senator Pelosi. Senator Obama does not have the experience needed for be President. He is a very young senator w/o an established voting record. His voting record while an Illinois Senator is shaky at best. Who knows what he really believes? Black/white, male/female. Senator Obama does not get my vote. We've had eight years of far right attitudes. I do not think this country needs 4-8 years of far left attitdues. I believe a lot of moderate Democrats will not vote of Obama. They either will not vote or they will vote for McCain. So the Democratic National Party needs to be careful on what they wish for. It's Senator's Clinton or McCain from this long life Democrat.

Obama couldn't use hillary since he has run on a new kind of politics platform. She would poison him. Maybe McCain will ask her since they seem to be seeing eye to eye lately.
