Bill Clinton wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He became president of the United States and made most of his money in speaking fees. How much money has Rudi Guiliani made since he was major of New York? Bill Clinton was a good president that improved the lives of millions of people. Somehow, now people seem to forget that. He continues to raise money for aides and for Katrina victims. Lobbied to the soda people not to cater to school students and the list I'm sure goes on. George W is the problem and the American voter made a lousy choice when they elected him not once, but twice! I guess people figured "how bad could he screw things up anyways? Well, now we know don't we? How many ex presidents put their office in Harlem?

I am completely FED UP with this whole process and Senator Obama's tricks. I finally made up my mind because I am tired of all of OBAMA's crap. These are the reasons:

OBAMA comes across as one of those Charismatic religious preachers on Sunday morning TV, you know, the big crowds around him, chanting, crying, etc almost like a cult leader with people listening to him with blind admiration and with total subjective belief --- very sickening
OBAMA speaks of unifying people and then he calls the Clintons racists and makes comments like typical white people (women) and no one (on CNN ) says a word. The double standard working again against white folks and women.
OBAMA says Hillary is the only one that is being negative, but he constantly bashes her over and over and over with mean personal condescending comments calling her secretive, untrustworthy, divisive etc. And nobody days a word the double standard working again.
OBAMA has done virtually little while he was an Illinois State Senator. When he had to make critical votes on Capital punishment for murderous Gang Members he voted against this important deterrent law...
OBAMA preaches every voice should be heard, but he has his lawyers and lobbyist stop the re-votes Primaries in Michigan and Florida (Where in our Constitution is it written that anyone has the right to prevent approximately 3 million Americans from exercising their franchise to vote.….
OBAMA has difficulties in debating well, so he tends to blame everyone for his lack in debating skills.
OBAMA continuously insults the Bill Clinton who is the only successful democratic president that America had in the last several decades.
OBAMA receives over 93% of the black vote but virtually nothing is said on CNN or any major network that this is a complete race based vote but when Hillary receives support from white voters their response is race influenced even though that same demographic shows 30% to 40% support for OBAMA.
OBAMA seems to be able to can say whatever he wants and the media specifically CNN will back him up with all the excuses. Just listen to Roland Martin. He is a complete joke. Roland is really objective oh yes.
OBAMA media BIAS. There is the media coverage on CNN for stories like “Black in America" and "Race and Politics”. Well, CNN where was there a story WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH in March and then of course why didn’t CNN put out a story on for instance "GENDER AND POLITICS" or "WOMEN AND POLITICS" ??? LOOKS LIKE CNN is as SUBJECT AS ROLAND MARTIN IN COVERAGE OF THESE PRIMARIES.

To all the Bill haters out there... Regardless of how you fell about him, I think all of you were better off eight years ago than we are all now...I will pay off bill, and if I am lucky, maybe a full tank of gas which most will go to Cheney's friends...

April in Texas....I too was shafted by NAFTA.....the legacy left behind by the Clintons.

I could not agree more.

Clintons have done enough damage...it has just taken many years for the results of their administration to show up.

Fact is...they sold the American people out to the highest bidder. For those of you who fail to see this....I truly feel sorry for you.

OBAMA 08 or bust

I am going to pay off my own debt, not go further into debt.
Only a republican would say borrowing 160 billion dollars from China to give to Americans so they could go out and spend the money is a good idea. Sooner or later we have to pay our own bills.
I cannot wait till we have another Clinton Administration and start paying off the federal debt again.

In My Opinion:
Rev. Wright is after the heart of Jesus which is Spirit and Truth
Sen. Obama is after the hearts of the American People, a Representation of Change for the America People; Of what We can do and become.
As a supporter of the Scriptures and The Trinity, I agree with Rev. Wright along with Sen. Obama the country is in great need of change! We should feel desperate for a change?

i believe the conservatives are scared to death of clinton. you know why?> because no matter what thread you are reading, it could be a thread about bush, al gore or gun control there will be this barage of people talking bad about hillary. go to all the threads on this page that have nothing to do with the clintons and you will still see tons of comments about them. there is a definite movement trying to discredit hillary more then any other candidate i have seen in a loooong time. that tells me something about WHY these people hate her so much. it shows me she is a threat to the crap that has been going on in this country as of late and you know what? i like that. i want this completely corrupt administration to be threatend and lose its control of power. people should read books more. shock doctrine is an amazing outlook on the economy and how the economists are what people should be looking at for answers on WHY we are in the state of collapse we are in. its crazy to me that our country is in worse shape then its been in decades and people still blame liberals and democrats even though the conservatives basically had a free run for bushes first term and lost SOME power during the second but not enough to lose thier grip. adn people are still going to vote for republicans!!! and i love the fake posts on these boards saying democrats are voting republicans. that is faaaaaaaaake. there is no way someone that has voted against this corrupt mess for the past 8 yrs would now vote for mccain.

Bill you are absolutely correct in this. All we will do is pay down our debt and not stimulate the economy.

I wish that people would realize that the ones who would really stimulate our economy were left out...these are the young people who are over 17 working part time but not quite old enough to be on their own....they are our dependents. They pay income tax also, but since we claim them as our dependents, they do not get the 300 dollars and we don't either.

They are the ones that would go out and buy the ipod, a new cell phone, go to the movies or just go blow it at the mall. But, like I said, they were left out of this GREAT STIMULAS PACKAGE...

Man, Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton are so smart. I just don't understand why people would not want them both back in the white house. This country was very prosperous during the Clinton administration. Hillary could be the next president with a former president as her adviser.

You should admit that Bill is the best president on economics in decades.

Those checks only increase inflation. Your total purchasing power will not increase with those money because the prices will go up even faster.

Bill, please excise the words "stimulation" and "blow" from your vocabulary, we have heard enough from you. It was your 'antics' in the white house that brought george and the neocons into power and now you have the 'nerve' to criticize...shame on you...go away.

Here's a novel idea. What if we (the US) had more investment in new industries and the economy that enabled GDP to increase on the strength of exports. More people would be able to make more money.

Now what if we coupled this together with a government focus on making healthcare less expensive, either through price transparencies and patient ratings or national rules as opposed to 50 state rules....

Could it be possible that we as Americans could actually take home more money from better paying jobs, with more affordable healthcare, all without a social healthcare tax???

The working poor think we have it bad now with take home pay, wait for another tax to garnish your wages with Hillary in office in the form of a social healthcare tax that will probably be indexed to inflation instead of real wages like the ballooning and near bankrupt social security tax system.

I seriously ask the voting public to please dig deeper into these candidates resolutions and perform the "wallet analysis." How much smaller or larger will your wallet be based on this candidate's policies. As much as people may want to say something like healthcare is not about money it is. If you had more money and could afford it this would hardly be a voting issue.

Come on Billy, you pushed NFTA and now the American Worker is paying dearly for it, while you are getting wealthy from payback with a little speech here and there . You and the big boys are getting yours and now you are crying because the people you screwed are getting a crumb. I agree, it might not help that much, however to a poor sucker out of work, it's better than nothing.

Bill please you need to be quiet. Every time you talk you forget things like your wife is in support of these checks. Please get together and discuss what you're going to talk about before you start campaigning. Example you thought it was cool to talk to Rev. Wright when you cheated on your wife and now your wife says she wouldn't have been around him. Come on...wake up America.

Bill Clinton has been saying this on the campaign trail, he did not just say it today. Do not send the money to the oil companies or to China.

I'm using mine towards a fireplace insert / woodstove with a built-in emissions control catalyst for my sister because she only has oil heat.

Obama 08

Comment for Hillary/08:

We are the smart ones; he was impeached that is what the process is called! He was acquitted of all charges! (Found not guilty for all the ignorant folks out there) Therefore he was not forced to resign or was not prosecuted, for Obstruction of justice and perjury! Shows how smart we Obama follower are after all! Get your facts straight I know the HRC followers tend to forget about the truth and reality!!!

Let the record show that I like President Clinton! However its time for Obama!

That's Reality,

Under the Clinton years we all but destroyed our military, get real.

Do you understand that the Reagan and Bush started shifting combat service support and combat support to the reserves in the 80's. Do you understand that Gerorge HW Bush deactiviated 6 US Army Combat Divisions immeditely after the100 hr war. Do you comprehend what I just said. That amount to the entire US Army commited to the first War, it was fought by soldiers with pink slips and stop lose paper work in their battle dress uniforms.

It is true Clinton reduced the Army by two Divisions in todays terms that means Clinton reduced the US Army by 8 Brigades, while George HW Bush eliminated 24 combat Brigades, now who all but destroyed the military.

By the end of the Reagan and first Bush era we could not deploy a combat force any where in the world without reserves or civilian contractors, Bush and Reagan welcomed in the US temporary military force as cost savings, while never balancing the budget, but they did make sure the military received annual pay increases, so much for a strong defense.

The checks are smaller than I would like, but the senate and cogress voted on it, better than nothing. People are fed-up with the Clintons and their Elitist remarks and way of living. Pretending they are one of us... Bill comes out of the white house and makes 109mm over some shaky deals and books and speaking arrangements while the other half is a senator also taking more of the American's people money. There should be a limit as to what a former president can do when he leaves office so there is not conflict of interest. Look at the deals Bill Clinton got himself into while his wife was in Senate. Why has that been investigated????

Obama Supporter!

We all need to give President Clinton the respect he deserves, when a man who presided over the presidency for eight years during the best economic era the US has ever had, comments on the economy we should all listen!!!

To me these stimulus checks are just like a tax refund. Save or pay off some debt.

End of story.

Excuse me Bill, didn't you USE to be someone? Who cares what you have to say about this or anything else. What you will do to keep your name out there and try to get back into the White House and get your hands on another cigar is crazy.

If Bill Clinton as the only President in the past century to a balanced budget, with a federal surplus is an idiot, what does that make the rest of you.

The packet that Dubya had put together is to little, to late to do anything for the nation that he has driven into the ground. He never made a dime on his own as a buissness man and has shown the nation how he managed to do it.

This administration has been in the hip pocket of big oil and corporate America since day one. So don't go and spend this big check in one place, that is unless you are going to attemp to fill your gas tank.

Bill is right- however, I think the gov't should've issued debit cards if they really wanted the money to go right back into the economy.

Americans need to forget about keeping up w/ the Joneses- it's time to sacrifice & save.

First of all, Bill Clinton was not impeached. The Republicians attempted to, but failed. The less then independent council of Ken Starr could not prove anything other then the Monica issue. He lied about it and was censured. If he had been impeached he would not have been provided an office or anything else we provide for ex-presidents, SO THERE!!! I thought you Obama-bots were supposed to be the smart ones?

I left my comment in another article but altough was still open. I guess you did not liked so was not published. So I will try again. Obama should debate Clinton . The people of Indiana and North Carolina deserve it. Why he is afraid?
