You can't still possibly believe that invading Iraq was about chasing down terrorists? The "war on terror" is a perfect front for continued spending and invasions, their will never be a clear victory and that will allow the "war" to continue indefinetly.

The US debt has balloned since the start of the Iraq war, and a large portion of that money is owed with intrest to the federal reserve a private banking monopoly NOT a goverment entity. As war is the most profitable business of all it is the intrest of the federal reserve, arm suppliers, oil companies etc to continue the "war on terror.'

Whoever controls the money controls the relationship, the president must worry about his funding and the intrests of those providers first before the welfare of the average person. This unbalanced relationship is the foundation of Dr. Paul's campaign.

Educate yourself on the federal reserve, you will be amazed!!!

As far as I'm concerned, Paul is the only sensible candidate. Clinton or Obama? Those tax-and-spend socialists? Yeah, right... McCain? That tax-and-wage-war paranoiac? Equally, yeah, right...

Despite the attempt to portray a McCain presidency as a third Bush term, the American people know John McCain to be his own man. In a recent interview, Sen. Joe Biden confided, "Although my fellow Democrats would not like to hear this, John hates war and as president he would do everything possible to get us out of Iraq."

We would be wise to judge a candidate for president by his actions over the course of a lifetime rather than by his rhetoric over the course of a campaign.

The Ron Paul supporters - apparently about 5% of the electorate and apparently all men - simply cannot believe that we listened to their guy, evaluated his hare-brained policies, and dismissed him and them as a dingbat fringe. They still believe that if he got the nomination or ran as an independent, he would "sweep the nation."

He would get the same 5% that he got in the primaries. Maybe a Paul-Nader ticket would get 10% of the vote.

If Ron Paul was seen getting out of a car with Britney he would have gotten some news coverage. This country is too stupid to know that the answer is right in front of them. He's running on the platform Bush promised us in 2000 but lied. Ron Paul was elected with help from Reagan. It's disgusting how stupid Americans have gotten that they would vote for a liberal democrat like McCain.

McCain is a cancer ridden senile puppet for his rich wife whom he calls names in public. He sings songs about bombing other countries and knows very very little about monetary policy. McCain is one of the worst choices possible, but Obama and Hillary are at least as bad. No surprise though, ask the average American who they're voting for and they will name one of the American Idol contestants.

With all due respect, but if there were no terrorists before we invaded Iraq, just who were those attacking us on 9/11? And who were those who have been attacking innocents for the past 25+ years all over the globe? It is a myth that radicaI Islamic extremists were created by our presence in the region or because of our support of Israel. If that were so, why are dozens of other countries the targets of their attacks? And why have we not been attacked since 9/11? Ultimately, there is no alternative if we believe that evil exists in our world and we must be courageous in the face of that threat.

Psychiatric help??? This is the only sane man in the race. What's insane is that so many people consider him nuts. We've drifted so far from our constitutional roots we no longer even recognize them but consider constitutional principles the ravings of a lunatic! My god I feel like I'm stuck in Wonderland.

I have been studying Ron Paul for the last eight months. When I mean study, I mean read, read and read some more. Internet, books, whatever. Four months ago, I switched from being a lifelong Democrat to Republican so I could help in any way get Ron Paul in the White House. I am not a whacked out, gun nut, racist, hippy, Paultard. I have been a university Professor for the past 33 years who is finally energized since the Nixon travesty years. Before anyone calls this man whacky and out of touch, listen to him, read about his beliefs and his solutions to this country's problems, both economic and governmental. Compare him to the other three "frontrunners" the MSM has given us. Before you vote, learn what each candidate stands for and what they plan to do to bring about "change." Also ask how they plan to pay for it. I love the line in Ron Paul's new book, "The Revolution—A Manifesto," when he talks about how people say it is so radical to think our government could survive without all of us paying income taxes. Our income taxes make up about 40% of the total government revenue. Ron Paul states, "In order to imagine what it would be like to live in a country with a federal budget 40 percent lower than the federal budget of 2007, it would be necessary to go all the way back to . . .1997. Would it really be so hard to imagine living in 1997 again?" I do not know about the rest of you but I sure would like to imagine how much money I could save if I did not have to pay income taxes.

Please Ron Paul! Yes, you do have valid points, but your points are incomplete in today's world. How long do you think our republic would last after we retreated back into interests only within our country? I am amazed you have even been re-elected in your state with your short-cropped vision of today's world.

Ah, the internet: the only place in the world you can actually find Ron Paul supporters. If you ever feel like having someone tell you you're a fascist idiot, just look for the Ron Paul supporters. The guy would be a terrible president. We've got global issues to worry about, and now is not the time for an extreme isolationist like him.

If Hill-Nilly gets the nomination I'm voting Ron Paul...Mccain is not the way to go. Seeing as how he couldn' manage his campaign finances, he can't manga the GOP to fully be supportive and he seems aloof and just as stupid as Geb. I live in AZ with a 2 Billion dollar defecit, and i have yet to hear what he thinks about that.

that ron paul is a joke, but what about the economy... must be a joke, too right? when gold is worth over $1,000 per ounce, then your economy is in shambles...

Iraq is a touchy issue, but you have to remember that prior to Korea, we were FORECEFULLY added to world conflicts; i.e. we were attacked and decided to show the world why you don't mess with us.

Ask Mexico, Britain (twice), Spain (what we fought Spain in Cuba and the Phillipines... didnt' know that), Germany, and Japan what happened when you attack someone that wants to be to themselves.

The past 50 years has gone in the complete opposite direction in terms of our foreign policy. We go from taking care of ourselves first to taking care of all others first (except ourselves).

It's time we elected someone that will take care of the people, and that man is Ron Paul and Ron Paul alone.

Sure, Obama can give you free health care, but your children and grandchildren will suffer 100 times more than you ever will when this country continues on its course and becomes bankrupt.

No facts back up what you say. Instead of belittling someone, why don't you explain your side. You have a valid opinion just like everyone else. People like Kathryn, Osam, etc...

shame on you

It seems the crazy people are the ones who hate Paul. I read more nastly comments from them. That is what we are fighting, the Limbaugh and Hannity wing of the party. Childish name calling and cheap political moves. Paul has integrity and morals.
I am a soldier and am pround to have voted and donated to him.

Osama? Is that your name? You have the audacity to say 'Ron Paul is 5 cans short of a six pack?' You know nothing about anyhing and it irks the hell out of me that people like you get to comment on this blog. Why don't you go get your six pack and read up on anything about Ron Paul before you spew. You can read?

This is what I know...Ron Paul has the upmost integrity and principals I've ever seen in a politician, he's a brilliant forecaster of the economy, and on top of that the guy is a baby doctor....my god!! You would think the Republicans would be all over this guy. Especially given the ominous political climate the GOP is facing this election cycle, He's probably the only Republican in the country that could mount a serious challenge to Obama or Hillary.

To Liberal Bruce:

Once upon a time Republicans used to stand for something other than simply wanting to put a Republican in office. Electing McCain simply because he happens to have an "R" next to his name is not electing a conservative Republican. Simply put, McCain is not a conservative and adding Huckabee or Romney to that ticket wont change a darn thing. A true conservative believes in limited goverment, sound monetary policy, a non-interventionist foreign policy, free markets, civil liberties, strong national defense. McCain is not a conservative so electing him is really no different than electing Hillary of Obama. Ron Paul all the way to St. Paul!

The leftist blue bloods don't want to turn loose of their stranglehold on the Republican party. The conservatives need to keep it up; Ron Paul didn't make it this time, but perhaps next time we can get a small government constitutionalist candidate. I'm still going to vote McCain; he is the least liberal (but still intolerably liberal) of the candidates remaining (Hillary Obama), but that doesn't mean I approve of (I can't think of anything I agree with McCain on) McCain.

I'm still going to vote McCain; he is the least liberal (but still intolerably liberal) of the candidates remaining (Hillary Obama), but that doesn't mean I approve of (I can't think of anything I agree with McCain on) McCain.

Ron Paul has everything on financial policy right. Read an economics book!!! Politicians aren't stupid, they know he right as well. The problem is there are too many stupid people in this country that won't vote for someone like that because they don't understand how the economy works.
