Senator Clinton is on her way to pull the biggest upset in primary history. If Hillary wins N.C., there will be "no doubt" she is the most electable candidate. Hillary's momentum into next week's primaries is amazing; almost as amazing as her abiltity to connect with voters. Thank goodness we have a candidate for President that can bring America together, when we need it the most. Thanks Governor!

Wow...did not think she stood a chance in NC. She still may not win, but to get close would be amazing. Edwards should endorse Clinton as well, especially since her Health Care and other plans are very similar to his.

It's utterly amazing how stupid the American public can be, that they can turn their back on the most obvious forms of hate and bigotry coming from their candidate, and then blame someone else. Congratulations, Sen. Clinton and good for you, Gov. Easley. This is what you call political courage to do what you think is the right thing and not what is popular. It' a easy to jump on a bandwagon like we have seen other governors do but Gov. Easley has shown integrity and backbone. Hopefully, John Edwards will look at the will of the people he has advocated for and follow suit.

I am an Obama supporter, but I am also a North Carolinian. I don't see this as carrying much weight at all, with the exception of maybe a few more news clips for Clinton. Mike Easley is no Ed Rendell. He isn't visible in this state, he never makes any news and most North Carolinians probably couldn't recite his name if asked the governor of our state. Being completely honest and objective, this endorsement actually doesn't make very much if any difference. Congratulations to Sen. Clinton anyway.

How come when Obama got a Gov. last week, from OK a state which Clinton handily won, it was labeled as a Major Super Delegate. Now Gov. Easley's endorsement is major as well, even though he is leaving at the end of this year. Call it as it is CNN, be fair and honest something y'all haven't been this election cycle.

Hillary no matter what a drive to have your name added to the ballot in Nov. will be underway! Love it love it love it!! I am so glad I voted for someone who has not duped me and someone who is a fighter and not a talker.

To Grif, watch what you wish for. Hillary ALWAYS wins the debates with Obama. He just talks about change and stammers his way through any attacks on his character. Hillary is a fighter, articulate and knows what she is talking about. She has good answers/ideas about what she plans to do for our country when elected President. Obama just doesn't come across as strong like Hillary or prepared to answer questions about his plans for our country. He's too vague.

Easley's political endorsement will mean his downfall in a state that is clearly supporting Obama. I hope he's ready to move out of state after his term. Senator Obama has honesty, brilliance, and a willingness to tell us the truth. Clinton, however, has only the ability to manipulate the process by lying and coverups which will only diminish any legacy the Clinton's could once count on. Unfortunately, the media needs to keep the advertisers happy with ratings so anything can be considered news.

I am from NC and who is Mike Easley? He is the governor who has towns buying water from each other, has the 2nd highest state gas tax in the US, and seem to get the school system back on track, even though we have a education state lottery. Our teachers pay is low and our kids are still going to school in trailers. He is a nobody trying to be a somebody. Didn't vote for him and thank god he is not running again because he would lose.

Perhaps the good governor should have considered this, as noted today on the Daily Kos: "Clinton is airing this advertisement in Indiana, bemoaning the closure of a defense contractor Magnequench's manufacturing plant in Valparaiso (she is also echoing this line in her stump speeches). Looking at the camera, she tells us she's upset that the 200 jobs that were sent to China, and that "now America's defense relies on Chinese spare parts." And then comes the kicker: She tells viewers that "George Bush could have stopped it, but he didn't." Clinton is certainly right that it is a tragedy that 200 American jobs were killed in a corporate deal that also exported sensitive military technology to China. But she forgets to mention that it wasn't George Bush who was in the key position to stop it - it was Bill Clinton." I guess she's hoping that the people of Indiana are too stupid to pick up on this. I'm hoping she's wrong.

one more for hillary. but the math isn't there for her. even if she wins the rest of the states left 60% and splits indiana and nc 50/50, according to the delegate count calculator, she would need 70%+ of the rest of the 305 superdelegates to reach the 2025 goal, whereas, obama would need only about 37% of the rest of the supers. it may be possible but unlikely. as of right now she is only slightly ahead in supers.
