Obama to hold 'big press conference' on Wright

(CNN) - Barack Obama will hold a press conference Tuesday on Rev. Jeremiah Wright's most recent comments, the Illinois senator said.

Responding to supporter's comments in defense of his former pastor, Obama said would hold a "big press conference" during which he would address the issue.

UPDATE: Iowa Democrat Richard Machacek, a member of the Democratic National Committee and superdelegate, has also endorsed Barack Obama for president, an Obama aide confirmed to CNN.

Machacek’s support for Obama was first reported late Tuesday morning by The Des Moines Register

Maybe some of the smarter Obamites will grasp the fact that Barak listened to Rev. Wright's racisim and anti-Americanism for twenty years and that people wonder how much of it is unconsciously engrained in his thinking and philosophy.

My preacher did not shape my life, values or sense of morality, my family did.

American get over this, he is not responsible for what his former preacher did, does or wants to do......

Some of us have independent thought!!!!!

We are tired of the Obama spin.

If the Clintons are racists and Geri Ferraro is a racist... then so is Obama and his preacher.

Stop running a pretend campaign of hope and unity and change.

Obama said he is a uniter- but has played the race card so often, that I agree, there must be more than 52 in the deck. And divided the once unified democrats by race, creed, gender, age, income, geography and education.

Obama says that he will meet with our enemies, but slams Carter for doing exactly that.

Obama will not go negative but mocked and demeaned and kicked Hillary about. Annie Oakley, brushing HRC off his shoulders, labeling her a war-monger and a racist.

Remind me once again what is unity, hope and change?

Obama and Wright are not one! Obama is running for president not Wright. If Obama wants to say something about Wright's behavior fine, however Wright acting the way he's acting right now, does not change my opinion of Obama. Obama will change this Country for the better.

oh, by the way-he won't take questions – all he can do is recite speeches. I don't think he has anything going on upstairs. (:
Hopefully the superdelegates are watching closely-give the nomination to HIllary and if the black voters don't like it-then so be it.

OBama has waited too long to address this issue, and had been caught making conflicting statements about it. (truth, lie, confused?)

Rev. Wright no longer cares what damage he is doing to OBama, because he has a book deal coming out in September and because of that, this issue will never die.

However hard Obama tries to sell himself. The people of Indiana have had enough of his nonsense and double standards. He is out of touch with most voters and has been riding just on the African American vote in the latter part of the race for the white house. His political tactics does not seem to be synonymous with the words that he utters. His change is just a slogan and not anything realistic or of substance. Now with the Wright incident:- Obama had first said that Wright was his spiritual mentor. A mentor guides a persons life/career. Obama has been with this pastor for 20 years. Has he not been influenced by divisive race sermons?
Obama has knocked up quite a few controversies the past few months. If all the states were to vote again, I feel that Hillary would win hands down. But unfortunately, there are not that many states left. So for all those voters who voted Obama and are now stuck with making the wrong choice yet again, sorry guys, but you just did it again. Never go for a book just by its cover. NEVER!!!.
All that glitters is not gold and that is true for BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

True believers in an Obama presidency are prepared to support their candidate regardless of the growing number of questions being raised about him. They would have us believe that everything we need to know about Barack Obama can be found on his website or in his autobiography. Only what Obama tells us about himself is to believed. Anything else is a manufactured political distraction. So what are you going to believe – the Obama script or your lying eyes?

Change you can believe in.......change I can believe in.......

its clear that there trying to bring Obama down, with this stuff because its all they got on him. both the media and sen. Hillary Clinton should leave him alone and stop trying to tear him up because its only going to cause major harm to the democrats for years to come.

  24. Hillary, Liar from Day 1

The media should be asahemed of their pubic lynching of a half truth! Maybe the MEDIA should hold a press conference to atone for their media lynching for a lie created and nursed by the media. Hopefully Obama will call the media out for their rating based, race bait, and racist actions.

Black America had enough of this public lynching and we will NOT vote for Hilary!

I'm a big Obama supporter but this Wright guy is rediculous. I can't help but wonder if the Republicans or the Clintons are paying him. Talk about an ego, how can he claim to be about lifting up the black race when I he's doing is trying to ruin the chances for the first African American candidate who has a real shot of winning. So annoying.
