Clinton and Obama are tied in Indiana.
Clinton and Obama are tied in Indiana.

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are dead-even in the crucial primary state of Indiana, according to a new CNN "poll of polls."

In an average of several recent polls, the two candidates each draw 47 percent of likely Democratic voters in the Hoosier State, while 6 percent remain undecided.

The new poll of polls includes a just released Howey-Gauge survey that shows Obama ahead of Clinton by two points, 47-45 percent. That difference is well within the poll’s 4 point margin of error.

A CNN average of recent Indiana polls released late last week also showed a dead heat between Clinton and Obama, though today's poll of polls is the first comprised entirely of surveys conducted after the New York senator's Pennsylvania win.

Some Clinton advisers have said Clinton must win Indiana to continue her presidential bid.

DEMS, consider the following closely:

Obama: Rev Wright
Clintons: Whitewater, Lewinsky, Travelgate, Rose Law Firm, WH sleepovers for $100,000K, Bills consulting, Library Donors, Sexual Affairs, on, on on

If Clinton steals this thing:

Voter Base:

African American: GONE (they have relied on them heavily as a swing vote)
Latino: Significantly weakened (They like Obama, plus none appreciate Richardson being called a bum and a Judas!)
Young Vote: Obama brought in a new generation of Dems, significantly weakened
Senior Vote: will likely remain the same
Blue Collar: Steady
Educated: Slightly weakened, more so if an Indy candidate shows up
Bubba Vote: Weakened, they got rid of the Black guy, you honestly think they will vote for a woman?

The Black vote has often been the variable which gets the Dems in, got Bill in twice, although Ross Perot helped in the first time. They ARE GONE, will not vote......

Result: President John McCain
Go Hillary, more Jeremiah Wright!!!!!

Ted:Canada   April 29th, 2008 10:54 pm ET

Indiana wake up!!!

How stupid can you get?

She says she was dodging bullets in Bosnia when she was receiving flowers.

This is an insult to every man and woman who has ever served in the military and every military family who has kids in Afghanistan and or Iraq just like my boy.

I really wish he was receiving flowers instead of having to dodge road side bombs.

Hillary you have disgraced our families just to make yourself look “experienced”

Get a real life!

Lee   April 29th, 2008 10:52 pm ET

Hillary can't win without lie, lies and more lies. They can steal this if they want too, but the Dems can't will without yours truly, us black folk!
It "aint" gonna happen ! The Dem party might as well pack up and call it a lose if Barack isn't the "Man", forget about it Dems/DNC/ Super delegates !

Michael   April 29th, 2008 10:50 pm ET

Indiana can't be as thick headed as PA. Can they??? Com'on lets get real here... CLINTON LOST ALREADY!

Vote Barack and let Hillary doggie paddle back to shore!

Michael   April 29th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

Good for Hillary - she has proved she is a real fighter, and has the strength to lead our country.

Sylvester   April 29th, 2008 10:44 pm ET

Please!.Please!.Please!.Please!.
Ask Hillary and Bill Clinton to make public the names of donors to Clinton presidential libary ($500 millions). PLEASE.
This is very important and I believe the GOP has the list already.
It should not be ONLY about Rev. Wright. PLEASE!

probama   April 29th, 2008 10:42 pm ET

American's do not fall for the deception of the Clinton's
You really need to think twice about sending Bill back to the Whitehouse he could really do a lot of damage

mama's don't let your daughters go to the whitehouse if bill is placed back in the whitehouse

think about all of the clinton lies and dirty tactics over the years. Don't do it
Don't put those sleazy folks back in the whitehouse

Hillary Clinton   April 29th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

i care more about the chance of me becoming president then having any democrat win. EITHER I WIN OR NO ONE WINS!

Mike G   April 29th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

I am hopeful that Indiana voters think very hard about where they want this Nation to go-We are sick and tired of negative politics as usual and we deserve better. Hillary needs to go back to New York and take a Dale Carnegie Course-"How to Win Friends and Influence People"- She's going about it all wrong!
Obama 08!

Democrat now IND   April 29th, 2008 10:33 pm ET

obama has a negative mailer that he has out too. SO less report all the news. both sides have gone negative TUESDAY.

sjp   April 29th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

well, well, well. and i thought pennsylvania marked her as the comeback kid again, lol. obama is ready to end this nomination as he did today the embarrasing acquaintence of rev. wright. obama has brought a positive approach to this nomination and even in the face of wrights craziness and hillarys negativity he has stayed on course. any candidate strong enough to face the challenges he has in the past month and still be positive and on top more than earns my backing and vote. 143 delegates/ 1//2 million popular votes/ majority of state victories against a nominee we all thought unbeatable only 3 months ago shows he is a capable leader.

Pam   April 29th, 2008 10:24 pm ET

Indiana wants Hillary Clinton to be the next President. We need someone that can fight for us not denounce she ever new us.
I can't figure how Clinton and Obama can be tied.
Do you really believe Obama sat in the Church of God and did not hear any of this hatred, racism and stupidity? C'mon 20 years and didn't know that his pastor was evil.
Can someone tell me why Wright has not lost his job for his public comments of racism? Also I would like to have a few minutes alone with Wright to explain what love is and how I love my country.
I want Wright out of my country NOW. I don't care where he goes but he is not welcomed in my country.

Corry   April 29th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

Indiana and NC voters need to get real...The need for political change is necessary to effect the global issues in the world, poverty, rising oil costs, environmental disruption etc.. Most importantly the change of our economy, instituting new jobs on our land and restricting the redirection of our jobs oversees...As for which candidate to back, I strongly suggest backing Barack Obama...He has relayed upon the need for change in not only the world, but for the democracy of our politics....The american way is to protect and entrust in an environment that relishes the need for clean resources and social economic growth...We all have to come together and relish the opportunity to grow anew with a candidate that has the ability to improve relations of the world and commit to lowering the spending of big business and oil companies to bring our recession back to progression....Thanks

Corry

Funny thing no one believe Obama, I think he still believes everything Pastor Wright does. I am glad Obama is not my friend, he would sell me out. Do you really think Obama mean what he say or just want to win at all cost. I don't trust Obama nor his Wife. They are just what they claim not to be. I thought Rev. Wright was an Old Uncle of the family. Obama knew what Wright was about all the time, now he want to FOOL all of us other wise. Remember at one time Obama said he never heard Rev. Wright speak in a bad tone, then he gets on National TV and say to all of us he did hear Wright speak in a bad tone, and NOW again he claim he never heard Wright speak in the way he spoke to the press Yesterday. What the Heck do Obama stand for, are we going to just keep believing every LIE Obama say. WAKE UP AMERICA.

HILLARY 08

Micheline Schulte   April 29th, 2008 10:05 pm ET

I am truly wondering if the Reverend Wright was approched by the Clintons and got paid a million $ or more to try to destroy Obama. I am glad Obama put an end to this destructive madness by Reverend Wright.
Reverend Wright should have quit while he was ahead. He seems very jealous of Obama's success. Obama has been working very hard to get where he is now. I will vote for him in the primaries. If it is Hillary I refuse to vote.

Andy   April 29th, 2008 10:01 pm ET

Someone tell Hillary to play with that delegate counter calculator ...because this contest was over a long time ago. Guess she won't rest until she has completely ruined the Dem's chances in November ...and with it, four more years of Republicans wreaking havoc at home and abroad. Watching from afar in Ontario and outside the box, it's hard to understand how anyone will still vote for her in her wild blind Bush like destructive crusade for power.

Sensible Canadians for Obama!

matt   April 29th, 2008 9:55 pm ET

Hillary Clinton has picked up a big super-delegate endorsement, with the campaign announcing the support of Rep. Ike Skelton (D-MO), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a key rural Democrat.

Skelton cited Hillary's strengths in rural areas as major reason for his support, plus her positions on national security. This further ties in with the efforts Hillary has made to overpower Obama among white rural voters in places like Pennsylvania and now North Carolina, and complements her endorsement this morning from North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley.

JOYCE   April 29th, 2008 9:54 pm ET

go obama
how proud i am for your being a gentalman and i feel so bad for how your x pastor let you down. you still have all us supporters

Lindsey   April 29th, 2008 9:50 pm ET

Paul vs Clinton. Why isn't the media talking about this case? Biased in favor of Hillary as usual, afraid of Hillary because she had complained about the media being too harsh on her. So, they are focusing on Obama instead and are leaving Hillary alone.

Philip   April 29th, 2008 9:50 pm ET

She will continue in the race until August.

KURT   April 29th, 2008 9:48 pm ET

mike   April 29th, 2008 9:46 pm ET

What makes me worry about H. is that why Rev. Write pop up during crucial time? What is the relationship with her, committed or with her component?
Unfortunately he better burn himself rather if his things such ways standing for black equality. I don't think he knows what he is doing like Mc. too…
Although O. is black and I,..I am not supporting him, but he is seems to me different for this 21st century of what American meant around the world.
So really I don't believe for H. that she could bring anything rather comforting her accompanies and 2nd round her own business and covered racial discriminated life among minority

edward anagho   April 29th, 2008 9:41 pm ET

even if she wins indiana, it will take her to no where, the clintons are doing no good to the party.

Linda   April 29th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

I cannot understand why any United States Citizen would even think of voting for Obama. If it wasn’t before it is now quite evident that he has lied from DAY ONE. At least his wife told her true feelings.
He un-invited his preacher from his coming out ceremony exactly because he knew the man was a bigot who is full of hate and desperation. There is no way any intelligent United States Citizen can believe for one second that Obama went to that church for 20 odd years and was not aware of exactly what his so called “mentor” was. He did know. He has known all along and has lied. I really do not know how he can show his own face in this disgraceful situation.
This man is the one that Obama just told all of us that he could no more denounce this pastor then he could his white grandmother. I am sure that his grandmother would not approve of how her grandson has stood up in front of the nation and lied again and again.

Obama is Politically DEAD.

Annette   April 29th, 2008 9:37 pm ET

I hope Indiana Democrats look at the totality of what both candidates bring to the table rather than the diversions that have temporarily garnered headlines. With Barack Obama stating the obvious today that no one speaks for him except himself, we have a real chance in this country to restore creditable leadership to the White House. For nearly two decades the Presidency has been tarnished–either by an incompetent president or because others have sought to dimish the office (in the case of the Clinton years). In Barack Obama we have a man from humble beginnings who understands what hard works means, who has the experience of world views, who can bring people together and has the potential of re-inspiring America back to greatness. He does not pander when he answers questions. He is solid and sincere. He is brilliant and has a deep understanding of where America needs to go. Above all, he has ignited so many people to believe again in the American ideal. Indiana (and North Carolina) I hope you put Barack Obama over the top.

UnitedWeStand   April 29th, 2008 9:31 pm ET

Time is on Obama's side. The clock is running out no matter how you spin the numbers, run new ads, whisper in the Superdelegates' ear. You can not and will not win! In a coulple of weeks, you will be unelectable (by your own words) because your name will not be on the ballot to be President.

Whether you like it or not, Can you smell what Barack ,the Super-delegates and John Edwards are cooking in Indiana and North Carolina? In case you did not know, you are (a turkey) dinner!

UNITED WE STAND FOR OBAMA!

Michael Ray Thompson   April 29th, 2008 9:28 pm ET

The Democrats should realize that they cannot win with a black or a lesbian as their only choice. John McCain is going to clean up this November. Republicans will take control of both the House and the Senate. Maybe we could have a truly conservative government in 2009. We can have conservative judges appointed to the courts.

john,pa   April 29th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

Sen.Clinton will win in indiana.thre is no doubt that.
obama is not a candidte rightnow for a presidential election. He proved again that he is not qualified, able or efficient for a president candidate. If Hillary doesnt win the nominee , I will vote for Mccain.

Dwight   April 29th, 2008 9:23 pm ET

Way to go, Hillary !!!!!!!!

You are, withoud a diubt, the bst choice for thenext President of the Unired States.

I watched Obama trying to answer questons from reportere re that "PEACHER DUDE", & without a writen speach, he is "NO GOOD AT ALL".
The other World Leaders will "EAT HIM ALIVE" !!!!!!!!!1

T. Churchill, Indiana   April 29th, 2008 9:16 pm ET

. . .I think that Hillary is finished. Hell hath no fury like an Obama Supporter scorned by Hillary lies . We will put her away just like super Tuesday in the remaining states, much to her surprise and bewilderment.

YES WE CAN.
Obama 08.

Peter in Canada   April 29th, 2008 9:13 pm ET

Clinton can continue her campaign until December, but unless the Superdelegates are absolutely insane, they will confirm Obama as the nominee!
Without the youth, turncoat Republicans, Independents and African Americans, the Democrats are done for the next 30 years!
Everyone is buying into Hillary's psychopathy but Obama IS going to be the nominee otherwise the Democrats are just plain suicidal (or extremely stupid).

M.DAWSON   April 29th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

What is going on in this U.S.A? Who in the "hell"cares about Rev. Wright. Tell me how am I going to keep my home, keep, my job, car, and put gas in it. Gas prices are soaring out of control. What about job losses today, Tell me why we, the american people must choose between food and medicine. "TELL ME THIS CNN, ABC NBC, and FOX NEWS, TELL ME THIS"? NOW THAT'S WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR. Sign MR.&MRS. American voter,

Glenn   April 29th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

I am beginning to understand why Bill fooled around with Monica. Seems Hillary wears only pants (pants' suits) to be like the those good ol' boy politicos. She appears lacking any real female triaits. She wants to be more "mannish" than the men!

As a lifelong 22 year-old Hoosier who is not like most of the young people in this country who seem to be awestruck by Senator Obama's vision for "CHANGE"!! I will be proud to cast my vote on May 6th for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. I'am not fooled by him and neither should the remaining 300 or so superdelegates!

YES SHE CAN!! 2008

Bill, Covington   April 29th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

Seeing a photo ofHillary Rodham Clinton puts in a mood to vomit and, that is mild as compared to the frame of mind hearing or seeing Barak Hissing Oblabber puts me in.
If there is anyone out there that believes the stuff he is saying about the low-life Rev. J. Wright you will believe anything. Anyone who believes either Barak or Hillary are both morally and mentaly bankrupt.
As a mater of fact one could consider that if a person is a Democrat they should be careful about turning their back on that person, least they discover a sharp objest being thrust into their back. They are not nice people.

He's still standing   April 29th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

All this drama over Rev. Wright (which is ridiculous , because Obama NEVER said these words, another man did) and Obama is still standing. -NOW THAT'S PRESIDENTIAL !!!

If this was Hillary, she would be crying by now.

Frank   April 29th, 2008 8:58 pm ET

I could not dislike any candidate more than Hillary Clinton. I am a Democrat – at least I have been loyal in the past – but I could and would not vote for this person. Not even if she would be the only person on the ballot .... just like 45% of the Democrats in Michigan.

AA For Change   April 29th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

Clinton may have the momentum, but she needs votes to win... otherwise Obama is unbeatable in the primary.

Hey Hoosiers . . . please don't vote for HER. We need change in our government and SHE is NOT change; she is status quo.

Deborah   April 29th, 2008 8:54 pm ET

The LIAR Hillary Rotten Clinton will NOT get my vote in Indiana

Catherine S   April 29th, 2008 8:53 pm ET

Repubs, Dems and Independents for Obama!
Yes, we can, together!!!!!
Hillary is a liar (Think dodging Bosnian gunfire), she served on the board of Walmart, voted yes for the war in Iraq, shifted on Nafta, stayed with a husband for political purposes who was a serial adulterer. She has LESS years in elected office than Barack (he has 12, she has 8).
BTW, does SHE wear a flag pin?
She worked for the Black Panthers when she was younger.
Bill and Hillary stole White House furniture.
Google "Clinton Body Count" if you are still on the fence.
Those Clintons are scary.
Let's elect a visionary man who has a detailed plan (Google Barack's speech on the Economy at Cooper Union).
Not only a plan, but a real vision that can bring this country back to its feet.
Don't believe the vicious pundits and the gutter-snipes.
Independents, Repubs and Dems for Obama in 08!
Yes we CAN.

Timus   April 29th, 2008 8:52 pm ET

Negative is all she's got. Drop the negative and there's really nothing there worth listening to.

Peachy Keen   April 29th, 2008 8:52 pm ET

The last thing Obama needed was for Wright to go on a speaking tour. He must have a book to sell.

It is obvious Wright is doing whatever he can to hurt Obama. If Wright is Obama's friend, I would like to see what Obama's enemies are like. It's time for Obama to find a new church, maybe one that teaches more about Christianity and alot less about what happened in this country 125 years ago. Not a good example for Obama's children.

I like Obama and will vote for him if given the chance, but he''s got to get smarter about his personal life.

Vonnie   April 29th, 2008 8:51 pm ET

Obama you did a wonderful job dealing with Rev.
Wright I'm so proud of you.

Martha   April 29th, 2008 8:50 pm ET

People in Indiana are listening to the positive and thoughtful campaign proposals from Senator Obama... they'll vote Obama.

Stephy   April 29th, 2008 8:49 pm ET

I think its a very sad day when people are willing to vote for a Hillary because she is not Black. Hillary acts like that spoiled child on the play ground, that want let anyone play if she can't play. Like most people I think that child and Hillary need a time out, or a good ole fashion spanking.

harold   April 29th, 2008 8:48 pm ET

I do not think Obama has a clue on putting a stop to foreclosures like Hilliary as asked for...She is dynamic with action...he is too busy with jeremiah right, wright now.

susie   April 29th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Obama flip-flop on his Rev.!!

Joe   April 29th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

Why can we not get an update on the polls in North Carolina???? Everyone knows that Obama has a huge lead in that state, but news sites seem reluctant to share the numbers. This Democratic race is all but over now. Hillary cannot win! Maybe after Obama cleans up in North Carolina and wins/splits Indiana, Clinton supporters will finally realize their candidate is done. Hillary should then do the proper thing and remove herself from the Democratic race. If not, it shows how truly selfish she is. By staying in the race she would only be hurting the party and her constant negative attacks on Obama will only make the Republicans stronger. Hillary all about Hillary, not the Democratic party. She is blinded by her goal of becoming the first female President and she will resort to whatever negative tactics she has to, to try and get there. Not going to happen for her though!

He's still standing   April 29th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

All this drama over Rev. Wright (which is ridiculous , because Obama NEVER said these words, another man did) and Obama is still standing. – NOW THAT'S PRESIDENTIAL !!!

Hillary is a weak candidate!
She can't take down Obama even with the help of McCain and the right wing media. If this is all they got; Obama is going to the white house.

Obama is still in the lead (delegates, votes and states) and still has a better opinion poll than her.

If this was Hillary, she would be crying by now.

Underhanded!   April 29th, 2008 8:44 pm ET

That's underhanded. Hillary is a big fat liar. Plain and simple.

Mark   April 29th, 2008 8:44 pm ET

After all her non-Presidential negativity, and her chameleon like pandering for votes, if you're gullible enough to still vote for her, you deserve what you get. Go anybody BUT Hillary.

Ridgeway   April 29th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

Dead even is right. Neither has done anything in Congress. Dead even? or even dead people do more than these two goobers.

Robert   April 29th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

A new poll today shows Clinton ahead by 8 in IN.

And closing to 5 points behind in NC.

Jen   April 29th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

I noticed Barack brought out his "flags that he doesn't need to use to display his patriatism" to denounce his pastor once again. I guess he just uses them for special occasions such as that. He refuses to debate the issues with Hillary and I can't help but think from what I've seen is that it is because he's not well informed on what is really happening in our country.

Underhanded!   April 29th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Hillary is a underhanded witch. She alway goes negative. That is her only way to win. She would be the worst President ever. She is the biggest liar already. Another Nixon in a dress.

mary   April 29th, 2008 8:39 pm ET

Martha, Georgia   April 29th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

Here is what the media and pundits don't want you know.
Rev. Barbara Reynolds an ordant Clinton Supporter and Rev. Wendel Anthony of the NAACP another Clinton Supporter, set this up for Jeremiah Wright to spew the hate in an effort to derail the train of Senator Obama.
Once again Hilbilly are at it again.

Raymonde   April 29th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

Sen. Obama has had not only the "kitchen sink", but the "dirty dish water" as well thrown at him from Sen. Clinton and Rev. Wright. I hope that he will continue to stay focused on his campaign to bring unity and change for a better America. Some of us can see beyond these tactics. Remember, YES WE CAN !!

marie   April 29th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

After istening to you tonight and Cafferty,Again you seem to be giving Obama more air time. I don1e care about the Rev.Wright. The statement by Obama is bull and he knows it. He is just playing on the peoples vote in Indiana and North Carolina. I personally wish the super Delegates would see him as he really is. One minute the superdelegates say "I have to go with my people, then it is I have to go for what is right for the country. This is exactly what Richardson said and flip flopped to Obama. He must have been offered a good job if Obama wins! how democratic is that!! I think the super delagates are afaid that if Obama doesn`t win the blacks will go nuts again when they do not get their way. I will go and do what I can for Hillary . She is the smart one and experienced one,Obaqma is a talker–go back to the college and talk. He is playing with peoples lives here. And people need to understand he is only for the black people and if he gets the nomination and by any chance wins, the black will be the ones to florish . Not by working but by just giving to their communities ,colleges etc. There are black colleges black churchesd and black communities and black americas, Gee what else. White colleges don`t say they are just white colleges or churches or communities,if we did then we`d be said to be racist. If Obama was ral in his statements about Rev. Wright, then why didn!t he say something first and why didn`r he tell Hillary he was sorry for what he said about her and other white people? BECAUSE he is the one and his wife that are making race an issue! Not Bill, not Hillary and not the vast majority of Americn people. but we get blamed for their laziness. We work hard for what we have and work hard in school and business, most of us notheing is just handed to us. That is what the crowds of black communities want. they want the best hiousing and all but don`t get off their butts to earn it. Obama will give it to them!

spencer   April 29th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

I think the Rev. remarks are racist. If a white person had said something similar to what Wright had said they would be called a racist. Call it what is racism. I think there is a double standard going on here. Why is Obama aligned with so many racist. I do not understand. There not called racist because they are black, wrong, a racist is still a racist black or white. Thank you.

NoBama   April 29th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dumber.

Tax the rich! Blame "Big Oil", "Big Pharma", NAFTA, Wall Street, Bankers, etc etc etc.

These two clowns are so anti-business and anti-trade that you'll all wish Bush was still in office should either one of these far-left, pro-tax dorks win the presidency.

Who cares which wins Indiana. McCain will win 40+ states.

And he's still standing   April 29th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

All this drama about Rev. Wright (which is ridiculous because Obama NEVER said these words, they are another man words, not his ) and Hillary still can't put Obama away, she is a weak candidate! She will not win against McCain.

All the attacks from McCain , Hillary, Bill, Pat Buchanan and the right wing media; Obama is still standing and in the lead – NOW THAT'S PRESIDENTIAL !!!

Hillary would start crying by now.

Rohit   April 29th, 2008 8:32 pm ET

C'mon Indiana....bring it home for Obama now. Don't go with Ohio and Pennsylvania...go with Illinois and Iowa.

The man is a real leader not some leader-by-chance as Hillary. He speaks the truth and refuses to go negative against her never-ending tirades.

The man is ice-cool whatever the situation....unlike HillBilly who has 1. cried (New Hampshire),
2. mocked (heavens will open up...),
3. lied (Bosnia, Colombia trade deal, NAFTA)
4. complained (why do I get the first question)
5. played the race card (Bill in South Carolina and Geraldine Ferraro) and has the audacity to say that she is better than Obama
who never flinched in face of crises as big as Rev Wright and Bittergate. He tackled the problems head-on and showed that he is the kind of person you want to trust your country with.

Dani   April 29th, 2008 8:32 pm ET

Obviously Obama doesn't have it in the bag yet, or Clinton would have been out of the race a long, long time ago. Maybe people are turned off by his arrogance and real lack of empathy. He never did apologize for his statement about clinging to guns and religion, and if he really was outraged about his pastor's comments, why did it take 20 years for him to become so incensed? He has good speech writers, that's it, he's all talk and no substance.

Mariama P. Gullatte   April 29th, 2008 8:31 pm ET

What happen to free speech in this country. Has anybody gone to Clinton's or McCain church to see what their pastors preached. Most or I will say many black would agree with Minister Wright. The black experience is very much different from the white experience. It has changed but still a lot of room for more improvement. I had great respect for HILLARY until she pulled out her fangs. I few a hateful person and as a black female, I do not like what I see. I know my vote means nothing, but my opinion is worth a lot because many feel as I do.

look byond   April 29th, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Obama needs to give a blind eye on the negative campaign Hilary is putting out there.
He needs to talk about the issues and focus more on the demographics of Indiana and North Carolina. To win those votes that would otherwise go to Hilary.
We are all know that people like Rush Limburgh, Sean Hannity , Neal Boortz and the rest of the conservative talk show host have been pushing the so call republican voters to vote for Hilary, because they Know that Hilary is a weakerr candidate (HILARY CLINTON) come the general election against rival John Mccain- Bush Policy..
I encourage all democratic voters, new voters as well as independent and undecided voters in Indiana, and North Carolina to come out in record numbers and vote for change. The change they know Obama is ready to bring in Washington.
We should not faulter nor should we take for granted the strategies of these conservaties approach to the political arena.

We all know that senator Obama is a stronger candidate against the republicans come November 2008. So I urge all democrats, indepen dents, unsure voters, defect republicans, both young and old , white, black, Latinos , green or yellow voters to come out in record numbers and vote yes for Obama on Tuesday next.

Kenneth Cheeseman   April 29th, 2008 8:26 pm ET

It now apopears that both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama are "damaged goods." Because of Rev. Wright, Obama will receive 100% of the black vote and five white votes in Vermont. Senator Clinton would lose thousands of young people and every black vote in the country. That leaves us with a 71 year old man who cannot tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys and says he knows nothing about economics.

Dorothy   April 29th, 2008 8:24 pm ET

All of you that are voting for Obama – how much do you really know about him? Ask yourself that. I detest Rev. Wright and his comments, but he did say that Obama is denouncing Rev. Wright's comments so Obama can be voted in as President. Just like Rev. Wright said – he says what a pastor says and Obama says what a politician says to get elected. Think about it!!! We can't be so vulnerable as to think that he won't change his views once he's in office.

Rechi   April 29th, 2008 8:22 pm ET

Voters are now seeing the true color of Obama. He is so much obsessed with winning the nomination that he would go on to deny his own color. Here is the unifier who divided his own church, his own party and his own people, shame on you Obama. You should never ever be running for the President because you don't have the eligibility or ability or the capacity to run a country like the United States.

Samual Adams   April 29th, 2008 8:17 pm ET

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. NAFTA sure has been tough on Indiana guess who the idiot was who worked so hard to force it through congress. Yes, Reverend Wright thats who.

JIREH   April 29th, 2008 8:15 pm ET

The "white" news people need to get a Life - They do not know anything - They should get real! –

Do they really think Rev.Wright will not be part of Obama's Life - get Real!

You guys do not know much about Black inside relationships.

Rev Wright will always be part of Obama's life. I believe Rev. Wright when he said this is all part of the game!

The NEWS PEOPEL ARE REALLY STUPID! WHAT HAPPEN TO REAL JOURNALISM?

No Longer For Obama   April 29th, 2008 8:14 pm ET

What do you EXPECT Obama to say – I agree with Wright – of course he does but he is running for office and he is not going to say that. People are stupid if they believe what he says now when he is under the gun.

No Hillary   April 29th, 2008 8:13 pm ET

By looking at the current delegates count, Hillary is the one that badly needs a big win to survive – so being tied with Obama in Indiana means: BILLARY PREPARE YOUR DROP OUR SPEECH!!!

nah   April 29th, 2008 8:11 pm ET

And the winner is ... Mr. McCain!

STOP THE MADDNESS!!!!   April 29th, 2008 8:09 pm ET

The only way Hillary can stay in this race is with the media's help let alone side by side with Obama!

The voters will have Media and Hillary eating from the same snot nose pie when Obama wins this!!

Why does the media continue to ignore Hillary is being sued in a $1.2Million Campaign Fraud Law suit in California.?

Peter Paul VS Clinton, Et Al...
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7007109937779036019&pr=goog-sl
Secret Campaign Finace?
Clinton is the largest campaign Fraud & Perjury perpetrator in History. $2Million was bilked from Peter Paul in 2000.
Paul v.s. Clinton
Don't stick your head in the sand.
The first official shot across the bow has been fired. Only it wasn't Hillary Clinton doing the shooting. No, this volley is being fired by Peter Paul, and it's a doozy.
I invite you to view the trailer for the documentary in production, INDICTING HILLARY, featuring famed prosecutor and House Impeachment Manager Dave Schippers supporting Peter Paul's efforts to hold Hillary accountable for the campaign finance fraud that her campaign has now admitted to the FEC that it committed when it filed three false FEC reports to hide more than $720,000 of the $1.2 million plus contributions made by Paul to Hillary's Senate campaign in 2000.
Witness what Schippers had to say, and see the difference in the allegations presented by Paul himself in 2006 compared with ABC 20/20 Brian Ross' portrayal of Paul and his allegations in 2001.
The trial of Hillary finance director David Rosen in May, 2005, and the December 13, 2005, negotiated settlement of Hillarys campaign treasurer Andrew Grossman, admitting to the FEC his culpability for the actions criminally charged against his subordinate Rosen, have completely validated and vindicated the claims Paul has made in his landmark civil fraud suit, Paul v Clinton et al, and in his demand letter to Hillary Clinton in June, 2001.as expressed by Dick Morris on Sean Hannity's show in January, 2006.

Hmmm... Then again maybe not...

I used to support Obama. I've now had it with all the things coming out about him. And, he's weak. Clinton 2008 and 2012! She is the best man for the job.

Raj Nagilla   April 29th, 2008 8:06 pm ET

I am relatively new to understand American political process.
I was initially thrilled by the Openess, The Campaign, The New Wave and Good Media. Is it correct to runaway from the Clintons “ Politics not of a Developed Nation” and to not see and watch analysis of “Media mud slinging on politics of Obama era”.

So it is clear the winners are Clintons and Media. Now, it is safe to go back to Pre-Obama era?
My answers to above is whopping “YES” because I am a good Samaritan of GREAT America.

EC   April 29th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

AND this is news why?

Why wasn't there any coverage on Gov. Rendell's praising Louis Farrakahn at a speaking engagement where Gov. Rendell himself INVITED HIM!!

Check out the U-Tube clips.

Why isn't this reported on I wonder? They slam Rev. Wright for bringing his name up, but they don't slam Gov. Rendell for "praising" this man. What a biggoted racists double-standard!!!

So WHAT else is new?

Sen. Clinton also does not mention the FACT that her own PASTOR supports Rev. Wright and his church. Funny that, no reporting there either.

emmarcee   April 29th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is committing FRATRICIDE. She is clearly hell-bent on "taking the whole ship down" – Obama and the Democratic party. If she can't have it, nobody can. Well, Ms. Clinton – You're not going to get it in 2012 either! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!

cathy   April 29th, 2008 7:59 pm ET

Keep it up Hillary! You deserve to win! We deserve a competent , intelligient President.

candi   April 29th, 2008 7:59 pm ET

Stop saying Hillary must win. That tends to make her do stupid things to get ahead.

liz   April 29th, 2008 7:56 pm ET

I know Clinton will finally go ahead in the polls before next Tuesday. She is a strong woman will be the best candidate for president.

Anyway, as I heard on CNN tonight that Obama's campaign people said that Obama is bored with primaries so maybe he should drop out of the race. What he is saying is that you voters are boring him and he just wants to get it over and done with. What you voters should do then is not vote for him so that he could get back to his normal life so that he will no longer be bored.

Thank God that Hoosiers can think for themselves apparently and not be misled by the media's fear of the Clintons and Billary's continued lies. There's a reason she's considered to be a vindictive manipulator in Washington.

Carl   April 29th, 2008 7:45 pm ET

Well Hillary normally blows the polls apart, we have seen it time and time again, Penssylvania and Ohio to name a few so im not reading too much into this. I think Hillary will win hear no problem, the only thing is the delegates will still probably be shared equal. As far as North Carolina is concerned well Obama will win here but hopefully that lead will be dug into because of the endorsement of the North Carolina Governor- This is great news.

CNN = Clinton News Network
Wolf Blitzer = Hillary's chief campaign manager
He is in the same mould of George Stephanapolus, beholden to
the Clinton. Today in the Situation Room it was very apparent that
he was trying to sell hard Hillary to President Carter. He was literally buggin Carter to endorse Hillary over Obama. It's time to replace Wolf with John King in the Situation Room!

Please let us know what will be poll at 8:00 p.m. tonight and then 8:00 A.M. tomorrow morning. The frequency of polls taken is not sufficient, it will really solve all the problems that generally Americans are facing only if media publishes the polls every four hours, how about that?

1 Shows Clinton ahead by 9 points
1 Shows Clinton ahead by 5 points
1 Shows Obama ahead by 2 points

How does this possibly average of 47 points each.

Did you take grammar school math?

Jot   April 29th, 2008 7:30 pm ET

The polls in Pen showed that Obama was closing on Hillary within 4% difference, she ended up with 10% difference with a win. I don't she how Obama can be ahead with all the Jeremea Wright contraversy.

Hillary is going to take Indiana, these people need help not hope of help, Obama has shown to be disconected with blue collar voters. Looks like a surprise is comming in NC. Obamas weekend mistake was to wait for the poll results of rev Wrights media blitz. He shouldn't of waited for polls to be taken. he had a chance to show judgement on Tuesday and he blew it.

Doubt that the Poll will show Obama ahead much longer. Obama's Pastor has set out to damage his campaign, and he has obviously decided not to stop his comments. Clinton will probably be the Winner in Indiana unless Obama does 'something outstanding.' Obama has to show some 'fighting spirit and backbone.'

If people get caught up in this, they will miss the big picture and end up electing someone that will continue our country on the awful path that it is on. Elect John McCain and look forward to 8 dollar a gallon gas or more and a depression for sure. Mr. I don't know anything about the economy. I wish the news media would focus more the real things that are going on in the world and stop with this Reverend Wright. What about those Polygamist cult, raping these young babies, its horrible and the priest in the catholic church molesting those children. That is wrong and horrible. You need to address those issues and the economy. Stop focusing on Reverend Wright. Please its just horrible.

Obama will prevail.

If this was Hillary Clinton's pastor and he was white, the news media would not be doing all of this, I really don't beleive they would do this.

Hillary reminds me of an old Mexican wrestler named "Mil Mascaras," when translated in English means "1000 Faces." She's put on so many faces in this campaign, who knows which face will show up if she gets nominated.

She's like a box of chocolates, you don't know what your gonna get until she removes all of the "I'll do anything, say anything to get elected faces." She portrays a very disinginous person.

Hang in there Sen. Obama, she's just hanging by a string. We know your not Rev. Wright and support you 100%.

HIs add man should be FIRED

The poll of polls is fundamentally flawed. The polls that comprise this "poll of polls" are not meant to be combined – doing this over-represents some demographics while under-representing or leaving out others entirely. The poll of polls has not been accurate to this point.

Only SurveyUSA has accurately predicted the results. And for Indiana, Clinton is leading 52-43%. Big difference from the "poll of the polls" tie, huh? Then again, "poll of the polls" had Obama winning California...

I cannot for the life of me understand why anybody in America would want somebody in the most powerful office in this country who will not even salute the American flag. Shame on them . It is because of these kind of people that this country is in the state that it is in. Lets get somebody in the WhiteHouse that will allow more people from other third world countries. The American people are outnumbered by the immigrants. Our great Gov't. If pro is the opposite of con is congress the opposite of progress? Think about that for a while.

With Indiana, if the Democratic leadership follows their own rules, Hillary will be much closure.

Where the Dem Rules Really Lead
By Craig Crawford | April 29, 2008 6:00 AM | Permalink | Comments (277)

The mandatory penalties set forth by the Democratic National Committee’s delegate selection rules call for outlaw states like Florida and Michigan to only lose half of their delegates to the national convention. And yet the DNC went beyond its own rules to add further penalties, stripping those states of all delegates.

The DNC rules also prohibited public appearances and electronic advertising before the polls closed by candidates in states that had jumped the approved primary calendar. Barack Obama made a public appearance in Florida in September 2007, talking to reporters after a fundraiser. His campaign also bought television ads on cable news outlets that ran throughout Florida before its renegade primary.

Strictly speaking, if the DNC rules were tightly construed in this case, Hillary Rodham Clinton would receive half of the Florida delegates she won and Obama would receive none - the penalty for violating the campaign ban.

Nora, FLORIDA   April 29th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

They are only tied because no one is talking about how Rendell praised Farakhan as well. No one is talking about this court case involving the Clintons. No one is talking about the mountain high debt that she has but feels that she can run a better US economy but can't manage her campaign.

Give me a break CNN.

Oliver Florida   April 29th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

I believe Senentor Obama did exactly what a normal christian would have done by denouncing Rev. Wright hate comments. But one thing Americans should understand is that those comments were made by a pastor and not a church member Obama. He did a good job also by mentaining his church because that shows a sense of forgiveness and unity, rather than quiting as had suggested by Senator Hillary Clinton.Does it mean that Senator Clinton can't forgive?Or she only forgive but certain people for Obvious reasons. If so then I doubt the type of christian she is.Well, I now see why she forgave her husband after the Monica Lewisky's sex scandal.

Andre Weisz   April 29th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

It's time for Hillary Clinton to show patrotism and respect to the Democratic Party, and get out out of the race.
Her attitude has been too devisive and negative trhoughout the campaign. Is that what the American people need? I'm sure it's not.
Whereas Obama unites people across lines of race, gender, belief, etcetera, Hillary uses every means to become the nominee (and president). Her attitude has shown all the time that she regards herself as the inevitable nominee and president, and she has been acting accordingly. Is that respectful to the people and a democrtaic process? Is that in the interest of the people and the Democratic Party? I call on people to think for themselves.
Clearly I am convinced that Obama is the president that the U.S.A. need and deserve. Or would we like to continue with presidents who make nice promises, to regret our choice later.
Be happy Obama is there to be a president who really makes the difference and support him. To say it mildly: one does not get a candidate like Obama offered every time. He is the one and only candidate who can restore what went wrong in the past 20 years, and who will restore respect for the U.S.A. and its values in the world.

Hello Walt,
I am sadden that American can be so easily persuaded. Obama has clearly seperated himself from Hillary, McCain and Wright. What would he have to do to really been seen as a person, not a black man, but a person. Hell Tiger Woods, is he white or black. He's a man. Barrack is a good man and it is sad that we may never be able to take advantage of a leader of his statue and moral values. I personally like him. I respected Hillary as our next President before I realized she and her husband would do anything to be in the White House. HILLARY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS. I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER VOTE HER IN. I WILL STAY HOME FIRST. SHE IS NOT INDICATIVE OF ANYTHING I WANT.

Hillary Clinton 2008 and 2012! :)

Obama is neither authentic nor credible. Wright is right. Obama just says what he has to say as a politician.

Obama obviously knew all about Jeremiah Wright and his ideology for 20 years. Also, from Barack's comments in San Francisco and Michelle's comments they both agreed with their pastor to a large degree. Then, there is the fact that they have continued there with their two young daughters.

Interestingly, Obama was most angry about Wright's comments about him. Sounds like an arrogant narcissistic chip off the old block!

The only poll that counts is the vote on primary day. Between now and then it's either candidates to lose.

They and their supporters seem to be doing a good job lately of bearing that out by putting their foot in their mouth.

Many Americans will find Rev Wright to be offensive, his hate America rhetoric and his hatred of whites, didn't just appear overnight. In the interview on PBS, he said we cling to our fears of things that are different, those words were echoed by Obama in PA. Obviously the man who married Obama, who baptized his children, who inspired his book and who was his mentor, didn't just become crazy and hateful. Obama was aware of his character when he "dis-invited him from his campaign kick-off. Well I guess he didn't really dis-invite him, he was there hiding, so Obama could say he was separating from him. Politics of hope and change sure does sound hate filled. I'll stickl with the same old, same old, if this man is an example of Obama's judgment in who to surround himself with.

Del   April 29th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Rev Wright is a preacher! Obama is a politician, Clinton is bend on making a Dynasty come true and offcourse "No C'try for old man". Didn't this last line took the oscars home last yr. No c'try for McCain indeed!

KimSC   April 29th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

This is fantastic! After a day of Obama denouncing Wright for his latest comments, guess he sees himself slipping in the polls so had to do something.

I believe Obama and Wright are trying to dupe the American people into thinking they are angry with each other to take the heat off. If he wasn't mad about this nonsense for 20 years WHY would he be mad now? OH because he is slipping in the polls!

This is a political move, equal to hiding Wright in the basement on the day he announced his candidacy. They are and will be forever connected and IF by some miracle Obama makes it to the Whitehouse, Wright will be right there by his side.

Not fooled for a second....GO HILLARY!

REDDOG   April 29th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

The longer this race goes on the more we start to see Obama vision of change.
1. Florida amd Michigan your right to vote does not count.
2. If you earn more than 75K a year your rich and I want to take more of it from you.(By the way Mr. Obama I work 2 full time jobs to make that happen and you can't have it.)
3. If you hang on to guns and religion there is something wrong with you.
4. The space program is no longer inspirational and needs to go away.
I starting to think the real change that this canidate may want is to take away some of our hard earned freedom.

I am shocked at the number of hypocrites in this country. How many priests preach abstinence, no birth-control, no getting drunk, no lying, no unfaithfulness, etc. How many of you still go to the Catholic church and or listen to the same priests? The majority of you do not agree with the priests views. God knows you do not act on them if you do. Mormons started out with Polygamy...they only stopped because it becam illegal...how many of you Mormons still go to church and listen to your leaders? Do you believe in marrying off and impregnating your 11 year old daughters? You may not, but your religion was based upon it. Is that your fault? Hypocrites!!!

Hank in PA   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

APS in Hawaii   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Stop putting out so many polls. What do we need an hour by hour polling to see that nothing has changed. Only the news media could think this is worth while. One poll a week is all the needed. It seems like the news media would like to have a poll for a poll at times.

Peter, NC   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

This race is about DELEGATE count. Not polls, 2 pt. lead, race, Rev.
Wright, etc. Hillary Clinton is behind in the delegate count, popular vote
(only 38% of the country see her as trustworthy), and number of states
won. Hillary and Senator Obama are NOT tied. Hillary cannot catch
up. It is time to unite behind the winner.

Yes We Can
Obama 08.

Nunya   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

At this point, I would say you can expect Clinton to win in Indiana. The pattern seems to be that she picks up more of the people who claim to be undecided up until the last minute. Undoubtedly this will elicit declarations of how she is still in the race and not going to quit. In all likelihood, Obama will win North Carolina by a bigger margin and gain on her in delegates for the day.

Dusacre   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Base on past polls, Obama is statistical tie to Clinton when the polls show that he is ahead at least twice the margin of error, In other word he needs to be at least 8 points ahead of Clinton in this case to be within the poll's margin of error or is statistical tie to Clinton.

What we should say is that Clinton is about [6 points] ahead of Obama in Indiana. Obama suffer from former governor Wilder’ syndrome: the "Wilder effect". More people say they are going to vote for him than they actually vote for him. And the media cover it by saying that the majority of late deciders go for Hillary

pat   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Obama is disgusting and shameful, his lack of integrity is abvious. Are the comments of Jeremiah Wright are comments that he never heard before , now we have a chance to see what kind of politician he really is he will throw anybody under the bus to get some votes his grandma, his daughter, his spiritual advisor. I wonder if he called the pastor to tell him that he was going to throw under the bus, like the pastor prayed with him in the basement before he announced his candidacy for president.

E.Knight   April 29th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Here" one for u. I like know why is it everyone is so concern about Obama"s Pastor Rev. Wright, Why aren"t they just as concern about Hillary still living with someone who has disgrace the White House. So my question is why isn't they asking Mrs. Hillary to seperate herself from the ex- President?. Whiich is the greater sin.

The gallup poll puts Clinton ahead of Obama by 1% point. This is still, at 5% of error, a tie up.in the process of things to happen-Hillary has the momentum. And will win the Indiana primary. Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!! Go!!

John Smith   April 29th, 2008 6:12 pm ET

Let us wait untill the Republicans turn their attention on Hillary! Some dems are so ignorant they forget that the Clintons have made everlasting enemies with Republicans. Whatever is going on now with Obama will be small.

Just think: If the dems are bashing Obama for being in church with a preacher, what will they say about a woman (Hillary) who continues to live with "an impeached president" over sexual scandals! This is just the start of the story. The Dems have started it, I hope they will continue when the Republicans take over!!! God Bless us all out of this mess.

William   April 29th, 2008 6:11 pm ET

Hillary will never quit. Only when the pressure from the "media" swells to insurmountable odds will she fold. Even now with Obama once again denoucing Rev. Wright, the media chooses to focus on Rev. Wright himself instead of the true issues that are destroying the American people and their hopes for a better life. Prepare for the worse.

shaun   April 29th, 2008 6:11 pm ET

"Some Clinton advisers have said Clinton must win Indiana to continue her presidential bid."

Todd   April 29th, 2008 6:11 pm ET

Indiana is not even close to the delegate count of North Carolina yet everyone is saying that Indiana is a battleground state, I would think the state with the most delegates left would be the state that Clinton needs to win....amazing how the numbers, logic and rules always keep changing. She might win 1-2 delegates in Indiana but lose 15 in North Carolina......stupid. Her logic is about as well grounded as her campaign management.

Next up Clinton will be saying Guam is the battleground territory that will decide the presidency.

You go Clinton News Network (CNN). Long gone are the days of impartial reporting and coverage.

However the above case speaks volumes for the Clintons. Also how bout the Clinton pastor who was convicted today of severe child molestation. I hope the Clinton fans lift weights cause they are going to need it to carry around the Clinton baggage.

FB   April 29th, 2008 6:10 pm ET

Clinton's advisers have been in a must win situation since Ohio and Texas. Yet she fails to make a dent on the delegate count. It's not about the wins anymore, it's about the delegate lead that Obama has and will have after the primaries.

Prior to her "huge win at PA" Obama lead by 140 delegates. After her "huge win at PA by 10%" Obama now leads by...138.

Get a freaking clue already. Hillary can fill the air waves and the minds of the people with BS and false hopes, but the fact still remains that Hillary can't make a dent in the delegate lead.

She can claim that Obama is the worst candidate ever, but If she can't beat "the worst candidate ever" in the primaries than that just makes her a worse candidate. Simple logic.

Just because Hillary claims that Obama is the worst candidate ever it doesn't make it so. And if Hillary can't beat "the worst candidate ever" in the primaries than that just makes her even worse than the "worst candidate ever" Simple logic.

Are you smarter than a 5th grader? 1,727 is greater than 1,589.

All Gore may have been a better candidate than bush, but Bush had the most electoral votes.

Todd   April 29th, 2008 6:06 pm ET

I am so saddened by the fact that most of America, after reading and hearing the things coming out of the Obama camp, are so misguided. I can't understand why, in a time of crisis, and one that our country is currently dealing with, that we want someone that only has rhetoric to back him up.

I came into this election with an open mind, but now that I have made up my mind, I am a racist. I have viewed what is written on other boards, and to liken my just casting my vote for Hillary here in NC, I am called a racist. That is just sad.

I truley believe that on a personal level, these two potential candidates have failed in some way. We are no perfect, none of us without sin. I do, however, know that as a 33 year old male, living with a terrible disease called MS, that I need someone that has my interest at heart. Health care is extremely important to me, and after researching both candidates, I feel very strongly for Hillary, as I think many will be shocked to find, that those of us in NC do.

I am not sure where these double digit polls are coming from, I have not been polled, and perhaps the 200 or so people I have talked to while campagining for Hillary. I can tell you that even before the Wright scandal, most everyone I talked to were in Hillary's corner, so it is suprising to find so many in Obama's. I guess we will have to wait and see on that one.

I, however, am not a racist, and just because I don't want to vote for someone that is of color, does not mean that I would not, or would not one day. I have said, however, in light of all the negativity surrounding his campgain, and I have doubts I could vote for him in the event that he is the democratic nominee.

The most ironic or really confusing thing of all is, when I ask someone who they are voting for, whether it be Hillary or Obama, and they tell me, and I ask why, they can't tell me why. If there is one thing that I could suggest to anyone that is voting in a primary, election, or just something random in life, it would be...know what, whom, and for what reason you are voting. It is incredibly important that you know the stance on these people right now in this election, and that you vote with confidence. The only way to do that is to research..voting with heart and hype only lead us to the last eight years, and I am ashamed to admit I was one of those people. Lets not any of us, make the same mistake thrice.

My very educated vote goes to Hillary Clinton!

John Adkisson, Sacramento, California   April 29th, 2008 6:06 pm ET

Hopefully, Obama's press conference today will stop the bleeding. When I switched it on, the stress I was feeling over the Wright controversy began subsiding. Hopefully, the voters of North Carolina and Indiana can now see the that Wright and Obama represent polar opposites in attitude and approach. Hopefully, his advantages in these states will not be ruined by this tragic set of distractions. But, hope is all we have.

“Wright speaks truth to power - or some variation of Wright is right”
and those who condemn are wrong.

Well, now that BO has denounced this folly for what it is, a one man vanity show of bravado and nonsense and anger and ego

So now - you 5000 posters – What do you do now? Do you – yes you – leave BO for dismissing Rev Wright so harshly?

People like me – DEMS who are HRC first and BO second DEMS – and moderates – told you in our posts today that RW on Monday and prior hd gone beyond – was over the top.

But you argued with us. You called us horrible names and called us milder variations of bigots – racist pigs – dumb sound bite listeners- morons – intolerants – those not willing to read the whole sermon – people to easily swayed by a loop on youtube – etc. YOU – yes you – argued with us. Big time

NOW I ask – NOW- Do you argue with BO? He is tossing the REV under the bus? Do you leave BO?

I am really interested how cognitive dissonance and other conflicts will influence you? Your first choice DEM candidate contradicted you!

I look forward to reading new posts from the 5000 of you – as I have no idea how you react. It is strange because us DEMS all the way – HRC first and then BO second – are encouraged and heartened by what BO finally did today. BO, by shoving REV WRIGHT miles away from him – showed courage – political street smarts needed in a GE – and simple common sense. (Although I wonder if he now disowns his white grandmother too – hey – one shot is not too small of me)

We hope the good people of Indiana vote for Hillary.

She is experienced. for the people, and a fighter.

Hillary 08 :)

McHillary   April 29th, 2008 6:02 pm ET

NC is worth more than Indiana in dels. If she doesn't win that state 65% or more too, she's OUT. Oh wait, she didn't even win Penn by enough to catch Obama. Will Hillary still be running after Obama is sworn in?

Obama is less than 290 dels away!!!

Charles Williams   April 29th, 2008 6:02 pm ET

I am voting for Obama here in Evansville,Ind strongly because of what he stands for which is a peaceful Iraq and I think he can turn this struggling econonmy aound. But mostly because of they way he's being treated by the media unfairly. And this rev wright stuff at least his former pastor isn't in prison right now .

Since most polls were ridiculously biased by favoring Obama, I won’t believe them except for those from Surwey USA. Its results were never far away from the actual results although it favored Obama a little bit occasionally.

By the way, Surwey USA poll shows that Clinton leads 9% in Indiana yesterday.

ps   April 29th, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Why it took Obama more than 3 weeks to get "ourraged"?
He is just another smart politician who knkows what to do to gain the highest benefits for his political career.

Umpire   April 29th, 2008 6:01 pm ET

If Senator Clinton doesn't win in Indiana, she will insist that the illegal votes in Florida and Michigan be counted. Don't expect a gracious exit from her. And don't expect her to abandon her highly negative campaign style, either. As she has often said, she'll do anything to win.

hrao   April 29th, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Hillary has worked hard for this. I hope she wins. She had many uphill problems, the press and Obama money.

Ardnuas   April 29th, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Indiana voters know a winner too, and will support Obama big time
Obama/Edwards08

Bobby A   April 29th, 2008 6:00 pm ET

What polls are you smoking CNN? You did this same reporting before Pennsylvania. – when all of them except one was showing Clinton ahead by wide margins. Real Clear Politics is showing many polls with Clinton was ahead.

I just don't get these lies. Is Obama buying off CNN too, now?

And WHY don't Obama debate? Does he prefer to buy the election with his TV ads?

I can't take it.

Illinois voter   April 29th, 2008 6:00 pm ET

The poll of polls includes old data. Clinton is really up 8% to 9% in Indiana based on today's PPP and SurveyUSA polls.

PPP (D) 04/27 – 04/28 1347 LV 50 42 Clinton +8.0
SurveyUSA 04/25 – 04/27 628 LV 52 43 Clinton +9.0

Julie.MN   April 29th, 2008 6:00 pm ET

Please cnn, no more new poll of polls. And when you do , could you please tell us where these were taken, rural, urban, city.? how many polled, ect, but then again that would just take the fun out of it for ya's.

Ikenna   April 29th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

mitch from ark.   April 29th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

Indiana real voter....   April 29th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

she will do what she did in ohio and pennsylvania- lie like hell to the,
what she calls the uneducated, low income, blue collar workers.
and then say barack obama is not electible, because he cant connect to the blue collar workers........

anyone know anything about what she said about the blue collar workers?
both her and elton john said if voters dont vote for me,,'screw em'

Elitist college graduate   April 29th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

Obama should be losing big time in Indiana after all the desperate attacks that Clinton/McCain have thrown at him-

They've basically portrayed him as both a ghetto black unpatriotic hater of white people...and also as a wine-sipping elitist (I know, kind of ironic aint it?)

If he's even with Clinton at this point in a Midwestern state like Indiana, the nomination is Obama's to lose.

frank, las vegas   April 29th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

Obama must win Indiana to wrap up this campaign!

Gane   April 29th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

AND SHE WILL!!
LOVE YOU HILLARY!!!

Tom   April 29th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Indiana is all the way for Obama

Raphael Tx   April 29th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Hillary is going to pull out Indiana and its going to be close in North Carolina.
Obama has been exposed as a politician trying to do anything to get elected. He should have denounced his pastor(Spiritual Advisor on the Obama Campaign) a long time ago.

The democrats now know that America will not elect a Politician like Obama who represents nothing but speeches and words with no substance.

Go Hillary

Key West Sun   April 29th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

A poll is a pol is a poll,,,think I will just wait on the vote.

Darth Vadik, CA   April 29th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Hillary's campaign being mean and Obama having a pastor who is not your regullar right wing fire and brimstone preacher IS NOT A GOOD REASON NOT TO VOTE FOR THAT CANDIDATE.

But somebody who wants to stay in Iraq for a 100 years and his best idea for the economy is what has put us in this situation we are in IS A GOOD REASON NOT TO VOTE FOR SOMEBODY.

People, for once sacrifice your ego and grudge and do the correct way, Vote Democratic, Hillary or Obama.

Ca Native   April 29th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Let's see the polls in 3 days when the Rev Wright impact can be fully seen. Tom Petty wrote a song about Obama's future... called Free Falling.

Peter Kavanagh   April 29th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Come ' on Indiana . You have the power to end this .

Obama 08 !!!

YES WE CAN !!!

EXPERIENCE PLEASE!   April 29th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Go Hillary!

Obama is NOT who we want to represent this country! What else will we find out about Obama? He and his consortium have awoken the sleeping giant of racism. Is this the time to regurgitate the 60's? Hasn't Bush given us enough to deal with?

Clinton 08!

American expat   April 29th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Barack Obama keep talking to the people and tell them your story and tell about the plans for the future. Please remind people that we as a united America can accomplish change. You are a great orator and when you give uplifting speeches you are very motivating and inspirational. You can get back your momentum! Fight hard because the American people need a leader like you!

Foreign observer   April 29th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

So Indiana is not relevant...

Gail   April 29th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

Go Hillary. Reverend Wright needs to change the way he treats caucasian women!!

tomdavie   April 29th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

Way to TAP DANCE IT.

All the new polls show clinton out by 8 or 9 points. You include a RIDICULOUS unknonwn pollster to even it out for Obama. You also include some other kind of tap danced poll 2 weeks ago.

Same old media CORRUPTION.

SPIN IT CNN, SPIN IT !!!!!!

Truth Hurts   April 29th, 2008 5:52 pm ET

The Obama sign SHOULD be in front of the Hillary sign because after all Hillarious Rotten Clinton IS BEHIND!
Too Funny CNN!

J. Indiana   April 29th, 2008 5:52 pm ET

Other polls out today show Hillary leading by up to 8 points thus widening her lead.

Hillary will wrap this up because she closes well at the end of campaigning.

lou   April 29th, 2008 5:52 pm ET

ug...does anyone care anymore?

Darryl   April 29th, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Howey-Gauge? Where did you come up with that one. Too afraid to use polls that you normally use. Most polls have hillary ahead 9 points. Use those. I wonder how long you had to search for that poll.

Tim   April 29th, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Why is this not newes??? Senator Clinton gets another free ride!!!

In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!

Pole man   April 29th, 2008 5:50 pm ET

Fact. If Obama wins he may have problem with the white votes in November.

If Clinton wins she may have problems with the Black and young votes in November.

Who wins? Republican

hunter   April 29th, 2008 5:48 pm ET

My God… I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MANY HILLARY SUPPORTERS ARE JUNKING UP THESE BLOGS!!! Face the facts… You've lost, you are the losers, and Obama has won the nomination by the legitimate rules the party has established for decades. The Press is just keeping this alive for the story. Everyone else in the real world knows its over… and unfortunately the Clintons have thrown away all their dignity and respect they worked so hard for all their lives. Just to come in second place….
