Clinton calls Wright comments 'offensive and outrageous'

 Clinton sharply criticized Wright Wednesday.

Clinton sharply criticized Wright Wednesday.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton said Wednesday she personally took offense to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's recent comments, the New York senator’s harshest assessment yet of Barack Obama's former minister.

"I think it’s offensive and outrageous. I’m going to express my opinion, others can express theirs," Clinton told Fox’s Bill O'Reilly. "It is part of just, you know, an atmosphere we’re in today.”

The comments appear to be a shift in Clinton’s tone on the matter. On Tuesday she criticized Republican presidential nominee John McCain for not doing enough to stop Republican ads running in North Carolina and Mississippi that feature Wright's comments.

"I regret the efforts by the Republicans to politicize this matter," Clinton said of the ad.

Speaking at the National Press Club Monday, Wright did not back down from some of his controversial remarks, including those that seemed to suggest the U.S. government might be responsible for the spread of AIDS among African-Americans, and his equation of U.S. wartime efforts with terrorism.

Wright also said Obama was acting like a politician in denouncing his controversial sermons.

Speaking with reporters Tuesday, Obama said he was outraged with Wright's latest comments.

"What particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing," Obama said, adding that Wright had shown "little regard for me" and seemed more concerned with "taking center stage."

Obama also said Wright's comments were not only "divisive and destructive," but they "end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate."

It's ironic how many Obama supporters aren't fulfilling his request that they rise above this kind of anger and hatred, yet here they are spitting it out. His message obviously has not gotten through, not even his supporters. Apparently they want everyone else to change–but themselves.

He can deny reject denounce all day long and nothing will change.
Obama comes from the same clothe as his mentor. Do your own research on this man before you consider casting a vote for him.
All you Obammites claim to be so educated and computer knowledgeable and I don't doubt that a minute, but you are failing to due your due diligence on this man.

Check out Black Liberation Theology and look at the connection between his rehetoric, wrights rantings and his other supporters.

The bottom line is: You are judged by the company you keep.

When Hillary answers a question posed why do Obama supporters become enraged when she answers? Simple question. They act as if she came out and made a statement on whatever matter. They aren't as smart as some have suggested.

She was asked a question and she answered it. His comments were offensive and many people, even Obama, feel that way.

Don't blame Hillary for the problem between Wright and Obama. That is ALL his making. He CHOSE to keep that relationship close, saying he could not disown him for his comments. Now that those same comments were mixed with Wright questioning Obama's political motives, he has been thrown under the bus. Obama should have and could have taken care of this mess a long, long time ago.

Obama followers are supposed to be 'educated' and, if that's the case, it's proof our educational system is failing. Poor grammar, poor spelling and poor sentence structure. You should be studying and not spewing your tired hate on Hillary. Get a life and, more importantly, get a real education.

The kool-aid must be messing with your brain cells.

This is what the Karl Rove slander machine did in ’04 to Dean. Slander Dean with the “Scream speech”(Rev. Wright) and then repeat over and over that Kerry (Which is Hillary) is the most electable candidate. It’s the same game plan folks! Don’t fall for it again! They cannot criticize Obama’s words directly, because he is focused on the real issues.
