Has anyone ever stopped to wonder what exactly is good about "universal" or "affordable" coverage? Have you ever had to use insurance? Have you dealt with deductibles? Just because a person may have insurance doesn't mean that it's GOOD insurance. Why don't we talk about insurance companies taking responsibility and paying for treatment of their customers; why don't we mandate that any doctor ordered procedure or test be paid for by the insurance company? Why don't we focus on making sure that people get the treatment they need instead of just saying everybody "should be covered." Anybody can get insurance, but if you have to have a $10K deductible to afford the payments. We'll have the same problems with either candidate's plan because it doesn't get to the root cause of the problem- insurance companies are greedy and don't payout like they should. It sounds good to say "universal" or "affordable" coverage, but you need someone to go toe-toe with these companies to provide for those who need services.

Oh yeah, and you need to get the frivolous suits out of the courts.

And then, that already flawed thinking is used to criticize the Clinton and Obama proposals which bear very little resemblance to either the Canadian (single-payer) or British (public health service) approaches.

Every systematic study of health outcomes across entire national populations reveals that the American system of having no system at all produces inferior results for the average citizen.

And on top of all this, we have to listen to a presidential candidate who has been covered by so-called government health care since the day he was born tell us that we shouldn't want the same coverage that he has always had. You would have to be a complete moron to fall for that.

But that's OK. We have a political party just for morons like that.

But lets get sonthing stright. About a month ago Elizabeth Edwards came out on CNN news and said that Hillary had the best health plan out there and went into detail on why she felt that way. Now I know Obama supporters wont like this, but it is true. So if her plan is as bad as Obama supporters say then I wonder why Elizabeth Edwards said this on national television. Think about it , then check it out. Then keep you big mouth shut.

I am sure Sen. Obama would appreciate the endorsement, but he well still win NC without it.

Trial lawyers defend people who have been victimized by intoxicated, incompetent, or careless health care professionals. If you or one of your loved ones has the wrong kidney removal because the doctor was drunk and the entire staff was aware of it, do you think you would simply say "oh well, can't drive up the cost of health care so just let this one go?" I don't think so.

One poor woman lost both breasts because a health care worker didn't follow hospital protocol. Blood samples were mishandled and she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Both healthy breasts were removed immediately! I never heard what happened to the woman who actually had the cancer but she probably died.

I'm really sick of people buying into the Republican marketing that trial lawyers are vultures but incompetent health care workers are saints! Medical professionals have covered for each other, knowing full well that some doctors should not be allowed to practice, especially surgeons.

Stop swallowing the sound bytes and think about what's really happening for once!

We are ALL HUMANS.

I know that has been forgotten in this race that has sadly focused on racial divides.

The best thing happening right now is to let McCain talk because his stupidity allows him to keep putting his foot in his mouth. This is almost as good of an idea as stopping the gas tax for three months.

I have come to one conclusion:

Obama supporters are more fanatic and almost lean towards to be cult-like.

Clinton supporters are more logical. Superdelegates who choose Clinton are making a smart move.

McCain supporters are very quiet.

I am voting for McCain. He has many great qualities.
