Obama adds a third new superdelegate in 24 hours

The Iowa representative announced his support for Obama Wednesday.
The Iowa representative announced his support for Obama Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Iowa Rep. Bruce Braley will endorse Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for president Wednesday, the fifth Democratic superdelegate to choose sides in less than 24 hours, an Obama aide confirms to CNN.

Braley, a first-term congressman who represents an eastern district that hugs the Illinois border, had originally backed John Edwards in the race for the Democratic nomination. He joins fellow Iowan and Democratic National Committee member Richard Machacek in publicly declaring his support for Obama this week. Machacek and Kentucky Rep. Ben Chandler both said Tuesday they were backing Obama, while North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley and Missouri Rep. Ike Skelton endorsed New York Sen. Hillary Clinton the same day.

Braley’s decision to support Obama was first reported Wednesday morning by the Des Moines bureau of the Associated Press.

Doesn't matter. Obama is DONE. After yesterday, he just proved that he just like everyone else in Washington. He will do or say whatever to get elected. He has claimed is about change and not like everyone else, he lied. Go away Obama, Go Away!

If you believe these are the traits that the President of this country should have, vote for Hillary.

If you believe Hope is Hype.
If you believe negative attacks are the way to win an election.
If you believe rules don’t have to be followed.
If you believe false statements are OK as long as you don’t get caught.
If you believe your promises do not have to be kept after you are elected.
If you believe in winning the Primary is more important than a win in November.

Change, yes there will be Change, Bill can charge a lot more for his Lobbying efforts.

I guess all the negatives aren't working for HRC. Choose a president that's running for the the right reasons. Choose Obama.

I am telling you that these Supers may want to hold on a little longer. It is a nice show of support for the delegate count front runner, but Obama has lost a lot of support over the last month from the people, the voters, who are actually going to decide this thing in November. At this point Obama is damage goods.

People..... Do you REALLY THINK that the oil companies are going to let that .18 just sit on the table??? NO They will just raise the prices to absorb it so in fact the TAX cut is just MORE money available for THEM!!!

OH AND the goverment loses $10 BILLION that it WILL make up later from us all anyway in another way or another CUT!!!

WAKE- UP Quit taking LOLLIPOPS like little children and thinking all is ok!

    Another delegate...good for him!

Wright is a screwball and Sen. Obama was correct in finally cutting him loose. He tried to protect his reputation, but Wright had to be in the spotlight and force Sen. Obama's hand. There's a reason why he was no longer Sr. Pastor at Trinity!

    Forge ahead Sen Obama!

    This is interesting news.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media (sadly, CNN included) continues to harp on non-issues to stir controversy and ratings.

How can candidates focus on the issues when the majority of questions they get are related to everything BUT the issues?!

just wait until all the Clinton supporters slam this superdelegate as being out of touch with who is more electable. Obviously the people writing comments here are much smarter than these party elders since the commenters think Obama is so unelectable. Maybe the superdelegates know something we don't? Or maybe that Peter v. Paul case is lurking in a dark corner waiting to pop out at any time and the Dems are scared about that...

We are finally seeing the light of this overextended race!
There is hope for accountability, honesty and America's prosperity.

One more month of Hillary lies and distortations than this country can go back to a debate between two honest men with significant policy differences.
