(CNN) - The superdelegate deluge continued Wednesday afternoon with the announcement of two new endorsements.

Luisette Cabanas, an unpledged superdelegate from Puerto Rico, is backing Hillary Clinton. California Rep. Lois Capps is supporting Barack Obama. (Capps is the mother-in-law of Obama Press Secretary Bill Burton.)

So far, the Clinton campaign has released the names of four new superdelegate supporters in the last 24 hours, and the Obama campaign has named five.

Straw pole,
would anyone support Rev. Wright's candidacy for President in '12 :-)

Alonzo Demetrius   April 30th, 2008 2:39 pm ET

The smart superdelegates are holding back, waiting to see when the next shoe drops with Obama. I would imagine some of the supers who have declared for Obama wish they hadn't.

BUT HILLARY DOESN'T HAVE GOOD JUDGEMENT, DOESN'T HAVE INTEGRITY BUT ABAMA DOES

SEEMS LIKE OBAMA IS THE WINNER

OBAMA SUPPORTER IN IOWA   April 30th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

If the worst thing the Republicans can find on Obama are comments made by his Pastor, (can you see the silliness here?) we will win in November and Obama will be our next president!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!

perusing   April 30th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

Not a blogger... just too darn old.

But, I peruse, to see the spin.

Obama supporters don't have a clue. They think that just repeating something over and over makes it true. Just like Obama.

And their biggest spin seems to be their belief that they are educated and intelligent.

Never have I seen so much ignorance expressed so poorly. I think you are pretending to be something you are not. Just like your candidate.

Celebration   April 30th, 2008 2:36 pm ET

Less than 280 delegates seperate Obama from the nomination...
We need a big celebration on May 7th. Then we move on to McCain...
Moveon.org already started the general election campaign and although they support Obama, but they skipped Hillary and moved directly to McCain...
Great job
Yes we can.....

Obama is not mature enough, complex enough, experienced enough, tested enough, or been around the block enough to run the USA. Hillary is. End of discussion.

Okay- On the other hand Hilliary is 60 years old- like Bill said she 60 and was tired and mis-spoke about the Sniper fire. She was misinformed about the young lady who died because was denied treatment at the hospital, she was not for Nafta but supported it, her Chief Campaign Strategist MP was lobbying for Colombia. She voted for the killing of the 4000+ fine American young men in Iraq..

Ilona Proud Canadian   April 30th, 2008 2:33 pm ET

I wonder if all the Hillary supporters heard about her request, for $2.3Billion in earmarks for the year 2009? Do you know what she plans to do with this huge sum of Your Country's Dollars? She plans on spending most of it in her home state New York, not Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina or any of the other states that she is pretending to care about! If you don't believe me check this out on huff post!!!!! No that is not a typo. it really is $2.3Billion not Million.

Hillary Clinton 2008 and 2012 – Solutions not cheap talk!

Obama is neither authentic nor credible. Wright is right. Obama just says what he has to say as a politician.

Obama obviously knew all about Jeremiah Wright and his ideology for 20 years. Also, from Barack's comments in San Francisco and Michelle's comments they both agreed with their pastor to a large degree. Then, there is the fact that they have continued there with their two young daughters.

Interestingly, Obama was most angry about Wright's comments about him. Sounds like an arrogant, narcissistic chip off the old block!

I admire the blogs from the supporters of Senator Obama. However, most of you folks are just too emotional. If you guys really love America, please reconsider your support. If Senator Obama is the democratic party nominee, he will surely lost the general elections to Senator McCain. Lets all support Senator Hillary Clinton who has a very good chance of winning the general elections. One more thing. Have you guys seen the latest polls showing that Senator Clinton is leading John McCain by nine points.

Viet Nam Vet   April 30th, 2008 2:30 pm ET

As of April 24th 20 Superdelegates were ready to endorse Obama.
The first was the Oklahoma Gov.- -Can't remember his name.
I believe Obama has received 5 or 6 since him. So that means he has13 or 14 left in the kitty. They will be dripping out between now and the NC /IN primaries

CGB (Jamaica)   April 30th, 2008 2:30 pm ET

I keep hearing and reading about voting for records. There have been MANY presidents who have had records and yet have no true leadership. I want to vote for integrity, values, and a continued guidance for our country to move in the right direction. Name one President who has not show bad judgement at one time or another. ALL CANDIDATES HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO. Stop being naive and short-sided just to have your way. Hillary may have a record but she has yet to truly lead with honesty, integrity, and within a value-system I would approve of. Speaking of values...why would you want to overturn a nomination built on the rules you agreed to and promised to follow? Isn't that this the reason why Civil Rights for all people were fought for...to ensure those who were deserving no matter their background would get the opportunity they worked for "by the rule"? Women...you all should know this as much as anyone.

olga   April 30th, 2008 2:28 pm ET

One loser deserves more for Clinton, Obama will win.

Herman LA, CA   April 30th, 2008 2:27 pm ET

Look the demarcated party knows who they want in the White House and it isn't the Clintons. The Clintons are trying to force their way into the White House, the DNP has viewed the Clintons as devises and can not bring about the change in foreign policy. They are looking forward to working with Barack on his foreign policy to bring the United States back around because the United States need allies in the region. This thing is much larger than the U.S. even though that is one of the DNP to turn this economy around for the people.

God bless america and help us beat John Mccain.

Are people at all concerned that if Barack becomes Pres. the negative effect the Wright controversy will have on him & the Demo party. Now that Obama has denounced him Wright will enjoy writing a bestseller or two about his 20 year relationship with the Obama family. Obama & the Democrats will be the subject of ridicule for years.

Young Voter   April 30th, 2008 2:25 pm ET

Anyone who wants to say Obama is not complex enough should go to his website and read. There are links to position papers he has written on every issue which go into great length and detail as to how to solve said problems.

As a young man aspiring to be a diplomat to represent the United States it is this kind of leadership I would be proud to serve. We need to talk to everyone, including Iran. Which is something the old guard like Hillary and the Republicans are unwilling to do.

I would like to make one thing clear. John McCain is completely the opposite on both Hillary and Obama. His political stance does not represent your best interests. So if any of you are thinking of spite-voting for John McCain because Clinton or Obama is not the nominee, think again! A vote for McCain is political suicide and you are betraying your own conscience and convictions. Vote Democrat, no matter who is the nominee!

Jim   April 30th, 2008 2:23 pm ET

Obama is the man! He's going to be PRESIDENT OBAMA. I can't wait for January 21st when that happens... YAY....

Obama 08/12!!!!

Christian, Tampa FL   April 30th, 2008 2:23 pm ET

First of all, the President does not "run the USA." We are not electing a king or queen here.

Second, the Democratic party should select Obama as the nominee in the likely event that he emerges with the most pledged delegates. This trickle of superdelegates is fun to watch, but things need to start happening more quickly now.

Oren Ovadia, California   April 30th, 2008 2:22 pm ET

You Obama Supporters just don't get it. If Obama will be the nominee, he will never win over McCain. Never, never, never. The only person who can win over McCain is Hillary. Sad, but true. I know reality stinks!!!! The sad part is that we as Democrats, will lose the majority in the House and Senate. Obama has too many flows, his character just doesnt fit what he says.

Young Voter   April 30th, 2008 2:22 pm ET

THE REAL CHERYL

As for Hillary staying on message, I watched every single candidate several times when they were in Iowa and not one candidate changed message more than Hillary Clinton. She pushed the fact that she was the inevitable, she pushed the fact she had experience, she pushed the fact that she was a woman, she said she was the only one that could "turn up the heat" on the Republicans. Not once did she talk to us about education, she never visited our campus unlike Edwards, Biden, Obama, Richardson, hell even Rudy and Huckabee, and Brownback showed up on our campus. She changed message and now we're seeing her try to tie all of these things together and it's working for some people. I love how people say they are voting for the children. Guess what, she never talked about a male child until Pennsylvania when she finally realized the youth vote was meaning something. If you want to watch politicians watch the crowds of people behind them. In Iowa, Obama and Edwards had people of all ages, races, and genders standing behind them, HIllary? She had the older women and men claiming to be voting for their children and grandchildren who were standing behind Obama, Edwards, Richardson, and Biden.

Hillary Is For Hillary   April 30th, 2008 2:22 pm ET

Hispanics will soon realize that Hillary is using them, like she used black people. Once she gets what she wants, she'll kick them to the curb as well. They'll find out soon enough, she is not their friend, but a selfish evil-doer who will stop at nothing for her own self-centered reasons.

Obama = America
Hillary = Hillary

Good news – let's keep 'em coming!

Let's get this thing over with, get Obama the nomination, and get prepared for November.

Hillary – basic math – you cannot win. Think of somebody else for a change. The rest of the country perhaps?

yvonne   April 30th, 2008 2:21 pm ET

I am an Obama supporter, I don't hate on Hilary, she is just not my choice in this primary. But if, by chance she ends up being the nominee, I will cast my vote for her in November. I am a Democrate to the end. No matter what!!!!!!!

SBvoter   April 30th, 2008 2:20 pm ET

Superdelegates-Obama will not win in the GE.
Don't be afraid to cast your vote for the stronger candidate.
Because as you well know the blue collar workers-the seniors-the hispanics-the women- will not vote for Obama in November.

Jane, NC   April 30th, 2008 2:20 pm ET

Sen. Obama has a delegate who is a family member of his press secretary? There isn't a rule against this?

JB   April 30th, 2008 2:20 pm ET

The reasons not to vote for Hillary:

1) Whitewater: No one ever got to the botom of it, and Hillary (not Bill) made an incredible amount of money in a short time, it appears, as a payback. And of course the pardons of all involved

2) Rose Law Firm: Look it up

3) "I was always against NAFTA": LIE, and video proves it.

4) "I brokered peace in Ireland": LIE

5) Sniper Fire in Bosnia: Bold Faced Lie

6) 35 years of experience: LIE

7) "I had access to all NSC documents": LIE, she did not have the required clearance

8) "Only Big States matter": Since when? I am sure the people in the small states aren't to happy about that

9) "I will remove my name from the Michigan ballott, like everyone else": I guess she changed her mind, liar.

10) "I will honor the decisions made by the DNC regarding MI and FL": Guess she changed her mind again, liar

11) "Only pledged delegates count": I guess that it isn't the case anymore

12) The Clinton Library, and the funding that they refuse to release. People millions of dollars were donated by individual donors. As Mr. Lecter would say, quid por quo Clarisse, quid pro quo.

13) Midnight pardons of her brother and Bill's brother. Oh ya, and anyone involved with Whitewater.

And finally,

14) Mrs. Clinton, why was your campaign manager seen walking out of Vince Fosters office with paperwork, after he committed suicide and before the secret service were able to secure the room. This was confirmed under oath by secret service agents. And why did Mr. Foster "commit suicide".

Look, there is no comparison to the baggage of Barack compared to Hillary. How could you ever vote for such a person. Her whole campaigned is based on a lie of 35 years experience.

Joe Regis   April 30th, 2008 2:19 pm ET

You know, if Hillary does not drop out soon let's say by the end of next week, we will have a pretty good idea about her real motive. It is as if she is colluding with what she called the right wing to drap her own party down, and it seems she is oblivious to anything but her own desire regardless of the fact that it is too late for her to catch up to Obama.

The party will unite behind Obama for a new dawn in America.

America has an endless possibility to renew and change herself and Senator Obama represent that change and renewal.

Go Obama Go!!!

Quit blaming Hillary for Barack's bad judgement! Super delegates need to side with a winner if they want to take back the White House!

Why was it so hard for Barack to "divorce" Wright? Should have been a no brainer!

How's he going to handle the really hard decisions a president has to make? (vote "present"?) The Wright controversy tells alot about Barack's decision making process – avoidance, denial, blame others....

All is working according to the Wright/Obama strategy.

Wright suggested to the New York Times last year that he and Obama might have to do something of a distancing act in the run up to the election.
“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Wright was quoted by The New York Times. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said, ‘Yeah, that might have to happen.’”

Does this sound familiar to what has happened just two days ago?

I am Senator Clinton supporter until Bill Clinton makes his racist remark. I personally hate liars and dishonest people. Senator Clinton has showed her characteristic to the people of this great nation repeatedly about her lies. Most American will agree with me that we teach our children and ourselves to say the true and be honest. If that were the case, why it that some people (Hillary supporters) are supporting someone that repeatedly lies. This election is just like a marriage/relationship. We want our spouse to be honest and truthful.

Moreover, how will you feel if your spouse who does the house budget did not pay the bills on time and he/she spending it on something else? I voted for a candidate that is honest and knows how to run his campaign well. It is a reflection on how we live our daily life. Yes, We Can vs. Yes She Will. Senator Clinton slogan is about her been selfish and Senator Obama slogan is about everybody. There are many sexist remarks coming from Senator Clinton’s supporters. There is a difference between a fighter and a bully.

On the other hand, Senator Clinton supporters and Senator Obama supporters can we agree to the same rules that the Republican Party uses and then split the remaining delegates 50-50 in both Florida and Michigan. The Republican Party did just that in both States. Do not blame Howard Dean or Senator Obama. By the way, NO one is perfect. Yes We Can 08.

Wow....can Sen. Clinton even count? I mean she can't managed her campaign funds so that's pretty obvious, she's NOT good with numbers. She consistently counts Florida and Michigan which are NOT hers to count because she signed a written agreement IN WRITING!! What does that say about her credibility? Even in writing she still lies about the whole agreement. NOW she's counting her super delegates. Wow.... I guess with the Clinton camp 2-+ 2 really does = 5 to them!!

I'd seriously HATE to have her balance my check book let alone, this country's budget. Are you KKKKKKKKrazy!!

She's scary..... ooooooooh...

Young Voter   April 30th, 2008 2:11 pm ET

It's time for the Super-delegates to decide what they want to do and the choice is clear...

1. Create a new generation of Republican Activists by disregarding the outcome of the ELECTIONS and supporting Hillary and therefore destroying the connection Obama has made to the next generation.

2. Create a loyal following of young Democrats by supporting the will of the people and putting their support behind Obama.

I'd say it's a pretty distinct and obvious choice to make.

Jay   April 30th, 2008 2:11 pm ET

All this rage against one another. And this is the party that is for "peace" and ending the war?

Georgette   April 30th, 2008 2:08 pm ET

It saddens me that the superdelegates are sitting waiting for the democrats to self destruct. Why not say who you support, it will not stop the rest of the voting and at least start some sense of closure for this sorry spectale that has gotten hold of the demorcrat party. Some leaders keep saying this is good for the party, I say to them, NO IT IS NOT GOOD when you have family infighting. It takes more than 2 months to soother over hurt and resentment and I mainly blame Clinton and the spineless supers or others who supposedly have the best interest of the party at heart.
OBAMA played by the rules, and will win the nomination. Hillary has changed the rules everyday since she started to lose. What does that tell you about how she will govern. Her behavior and her supporters' behavior are typical of people in power who will do anything to hold onto that power. I voted for her In New York but I hope she decides not to run agian in NY when she finally accepts the fact that she is not going to be the Democratic nominee because I think she has lost the respect of most reasonable people.
When will someone in the media ask her to talk about her stands on race relations and why is it that the majority of her "blue color"/bigot votes is carrying her. The people plainly states that they will not vote for a black person. When will you have dialogue with her about that issue.
She is not a fighter, she is angry, frustrated and . She is just not the right woman to be president.

And Obama's Reverend Wright deal can't hold a candle to Whitewater, the FBI files, Vince Foster, Jessica Flowers, Juanita Broderick, the pardon scandals and Hillary's brother's role in them. Or to baking cookies, the Rose Law Firm, Webb Hubble, sitting on the board of Wal-Mart, voting for NAFTA and forsaking people in Indiana, ducking sniper fire and taking contributions from Norman Shoo and the Chinese communists.

John from Los Angeles, CA   April 30th, 2008 2:07 pm ET

The Superdelegates needed to see Obama emphatically denounce Rev. Wrights egotistical diatribe and they saw that Tues. Obama is now able to get back on message and a lot of the apprehension has been lifted.

It's interesting also that major economists are slamming the McCain – Clinton plan for gas price relief, and siding with Obama, which according to polls is the #1 issue.

Lets see Obama 10 Superdelgates, Hillary 6 Superdelegates since Penn....I am confused...who won Penn again?? LOL

lulu   April 30th, 2008 2:06 pm ET

After BO's dismal showing in the last debates, and the Rev. Wright flare-up (again), how any superdelegate in their right mind could support this man is beyond me. He cannot articulate his thoughts (stumbling over words), he is a novice, and his wife is nowhere to be found. What is really amazing is the superdelegates, if they give the nod to BO, have set the dems up for defeat in November by thinking Hillary supporters will have time to "heal" and will throw their votes to him. Guess what? Ain't going to happen. Our votes will go to McCain. At least he has no doubt about being an American, and is proud to be one.

By the way, all you BO supporters constantly talking about "Hillary lies" or "Hillary is polarizing" or "Hillary has too much baggage". YOUR CANDIDATE DOES ALL THIS TOO, BUT YOU PEOPLE LIE ABOUT IT. Come to think about it, all of us lie. Go right ahead and try to dispute it.

Jen B.   April 30th, 2008 2:06 pm ET

By the time Hillary is done with her negative campaigning, and Obama is the nominee, the Clinton legacy will be in tatters. They have only themselves to blame.

Last chance to buy your ticket on the Titanic if your a super delegate for Obama. Go ahead . ruin the party's chances in Nov. Don't you see how unpopular he is among some( MOST) of our older voters....Remember the ones that actually show up and vote. I have held my nose and voted for the Dem. every time they have run an out of touch super Liberal who the Republicans will successfully present as unpatriotic and out of touch. Not this time.Drink the Kool
Aid. Just don't come crying to us to raise money or save the party AGAIN. We will work to get a Dem House and Sennate but the top of the ticket's loss will be on your heads.

Mr goodcitizen, What PROOF do you have that Barack Obama CANNOT win the general election? There is no empirical data to justify said argument, in particular when polls like Rasmussen have him leading/competitive with John McCain in states like Colorado. I suggest you bring some data to justify your posotions going forward. You sound bad.

virginia nielsen   April 30th, 2008 2:04 pm ET

I don't know what she is still trying to do... maybe win the nomination with less popular vote, less pledged delegates etc...she should get out of this race and let Senator Obama unite the Party behind him to defeat McPain in November!!! OBAMA 2008-2012 !!!

Jack Walden   April 30th, 2008 2:04 pm ET

These "super elegates" on the verge of going down as "super idiots" need to get there act together and takes sides before Hillary suicide-bombs the whole party.

Jerome   April 30th, 2008 2:04 pm ET

FYI All- I am also an independent voter. I am for Obama. Base on the stats – using he CNN delegate counter – if Hillary wins every contest from here on out by a 60% to 40% margin (which will never happen) and gain 55% of the remaining Superdelegates she will still come up short and Obama will still get over the 2025 delegate count. She should get out.

Louis   April 30th, 2008 2:04 pm ET

It is time for 50 of the undeclared but clearly leaning Obama Super Delegates to show their support. If for no other reason than to show the Clintons that this is not 'their' party to with as they please. This gas taax holiday debacle clearly shows that HRC does not have the necessary judgement to be commander in chief.

JOSH   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

Obama's personal pastor did more than anyone else to take the glow off his campaign by dismissing the Illinois senator as just "a politician."

"He goes out as a politician and says what he has to say as a politician," Wright said in his interview Friday night with PBS journalist Bill Moyers. "I continue to be a pastor who speaks to the people of God about the things of God."

Sylvia Johnsen   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

As the final elections are getting closer, it is clear Clinton may not expect any votes from the Superdelegates, no matter how she fares in the upcoming elections. Each time she wins some, a few Obama superdelegates cut loose and make sure Obama stays in a comfortable lead. Senator Edward Kennedy and the "old Dems-insider" have gotten their wish: By pushing an African-American to "steal" her base, they succeeded tenfolds. All he had to do was show-up and say the same thing Hillary said the day before. I ask you: What kind of a leader is that?

American media is at fault, avoiding tuff questions to Obama, instead adressing Clinton at every corner. Raising legitimate concerns like: Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton!? If anything was done to explain Obama media used the official familiy background from his book. Not until after the Texas-primary did the media really look at the delegate number and realise she won elections, but he was in the lead. Then we got to see the clips from the Trinity Church Pastor and spiritual leader of the Obama-campaign; then they started to push him more for concrete answers, and guess what: He can't give them, which is why he no longer want to debate.

Wright is not important. Wright is a man proud of the work he's done, and rightly so. What is important is that Obama who is running for President is a construction to beat Hillary Clinton. A shallow construction as such; a smoothtalker put where he is by a silent Machievallian opposistion inside the Democratic Party. These people gave you John Kerry, when you could have elected Howard Dean!

To win 96% of the vote is a luxury reserved for Dictators, but Obama did it and you should think effectively this should stop Clinton cold. But it hasn't. Hillary is where she is today because of her strenght across the board with voters. I should anger those voters a lot that their trusted elects are willing to gamble losing to McCain just make a point.

Hillary 08, you bet'ya!

J. Sully, New York   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

Good for Obama. The clintons and McSame are such double talkers. The average American can't make hide nor hair of what the heck they're saying and that's the way HRC and McSame want it – Feeding the American public complete BS!!! I agree with John Smith. I can't believe people eat up all these lies!!! I can't believe the Clinton followers – after what happened in the white house. Talk about dirty players. Bill was the worst and she's just as bad – power hungry maniacs who'll stop at nothing to get back in that oval office, maybe for more "really dirty" politics.

Robert   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

John Smith,
I think that it is funny to see democrats who voted for and praised Bill Clinton, even in the face of impeachment, now throw him and his wife under the bus. We know politicians are hipocrits and change their mind like the wind. We expect it. They ALL do it, whether they are republican, democrat, or independent. It doesn't matter they all do whatever it takes to get elected. I had to listen to so many democrats talk about how great Bill Clinton was for 8 years and I am sure you are one of the ones running your mouth, but now your tune has changed. You and people like you ar no different than the politicians that lie to the American people just to get elected. I personally do not care if Obama or Clinton get the nomination, either way I am voting for McCain.

Veterans For Obama   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

A real Democrat,

I agree...I have stated numerous times, when the smoke clears, whoever is left standing, I will support 100%. I will even replace my Obama bumper sticker w/ a Hillary sticker (even though I will feel like a pansy), but the party is more important, nay the country is more important. There is way too much at stake to get bitter and turn this thing over to Grandpa Munster.

Lee   April 30th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

The Republican strategy for the general election:

Calling the conservative base to come out and vote for Hillary Clinton in the primary. The strategy was effective in Ohio, Texas, and PA. They foresee the weaker candidate in the general election will be Hillary Clinton and that is the reason Hillary Clinton won the last three states.

Ready for Change   April 30th, 2008 2:00 pm ET

Dear FRED, Atlanta GA,

Hillary supporters are not the ones who don't get it. We are not all ignorant, poor, delusional robots pinning all of our "hopes" on somebody who can give a good speech. We know it takes a great deal more than that to "change" anything in this country.

Some of us actually are already out of college and able to support ourselves.

Perhaps you should save your endless negative rants for the next Rev. Wright news conference. You should find some kindred spirits there.

Cynthia   April 30th, 2008 2:00 pm ET

Congratulations on both sides for picking up delegates. All of the superdelegates need to come out at least by the time the last primary is held if not before. Let's go Democrats.

DPZ   April 30th, 2008 2:00 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is holding back obama it is like performing a kamakaze

Chris, Bethesda, Maryland   April 30th, 2008 1:59 pm ET

He's just trying to scare the Republicans with the prospects of an Obama presidency. That way, more of them will turn out.

Carl   April 30th, 2008 1:59 pm ET

The idea of a superdelegate is so out there, it's hilarious.

Democrats can't even count on their voters to determine the outcome, so they invented powerful democrats that can sway the primary results (20% of total vote)...

I mean seriously... 10,000 votes per 1 superdelegate... this is why Republicans dominate the presidency since 1968... because your own party can't figure out how to run the ship correctly.

Debbie   April 30th, 2008 1:58 pm ET

For weeks, the only reason more super delegates didn't come out was because Hillary was saying see, Obama has this crazy pastor.

Now that Wright is disposed off, Hillary can no longer use that argument.

Hillary, Bill, Chelsea, and the entire Republican party attacking Obama. Obama is such a strong candidate that he's faced all these factors and the delegate count has improved for Obama.

Supers look at all the Clinton baggage. Remember, during Bill's years the Democrats lost control of the Senate, Representatives, and Governorship.

In 1996, at Camp David, Hillary was talking to Bill about Southern Democrats. Hillary shouted at Bill to "screw them". Three witnesses have attested to this fact.

wwf   April 30th, 2008 1:58 pm ET

For those of a mind to vote McCain instead of the candidate of the Democratic party because you person did not get the nod reminds me of little children who hold their breath when they don't get their way. Go on. Hold your breath. When you finally exhale, your young men and women will be in Iraq for at least another 4 years, gas will continue to go up, health care will be a bigger joke than what it is now, etc. etc. So go on and hold it, only do us a favor who will vote party no matter who the candidate, don't ever exhale. At least children learn to grow up. There are quite a few of you on here who have not reached that position in life yet. Maybe never will.

Lauren-Denver,CO   April 30th, 2008 1:57 pm ET

I AGREE WITH "A REAL DEMOCRAT"
WE JUST NEED TO COME TOGETHER AS A PARTY AND SUPPORT EACHOTHER–ALL THIS BICKERING AND FIGHTING IS NOT GOING TO SOLVE ANYTHING, IN FACT ALL IT'S GOING TO DO IS GET A REPUBLICIAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE... AND THATS THE LAST THING WE WANT.
SO FOR YOU CLINTON SUPPORTERS WHO WOULD RATHER VOTE FOR MCCAIN AND FOR YOU OBAMA SUPPORTERS WOULD WOULD RATHER VOTE FOR MCCAIN-YOU ARE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE... AND YOU SHOULD RETHINK YOUR "PARTY STATUS" BECAUSE IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU AREN'T A TRUE DEM.

It is amazing to see how people are influence by lies and e z tv. I support OBAMA 100%. I am not Rev Wright, Any other pastor, or person. I am who I am. Does that sound familiar? If we all based our thought pattern on other peoples behavior then we would be a nation of slaves and slave owners. How about that? We need to state what this race has become. It has come down to black and white. OBAMA is not a racist, HILLARY is not a racist but a certain few has implanted the race card that open up old wounds from many americans. Is it really important to break down the numbers and say blacks voted this way, catholics that way, whites that way? Or it is impotant to say that the American People have voted and they agreed through our process that OBAMA OR HILLARY will be the next President of the United States. Note to self "United States" not black States or White States. That is the American Way.

Dylan   April 30th, 2008 1:57 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is the downfall the Democratic Party. I have never been so disgusted with someone from my own party. I will never forgive her if she takes this election away from us.

MB   April 30th, 2008 1:57 pm ET

Obama is the only page turner in the race for the presidency. Who can be against that? The party wants to come together, and it will be a cake walk with Obama, because the opponents will try to to
manufacture an issue out of Barack's every utterance, but it won't be true. With Hillary it would ALL be true, and it would last for years! Can't we please shut the door on the 60's and the Clintons, who have fanned the flame of those divisions for their entire political life to gain power. Close the door already.

Wayne, VA   April 30th, 2008 1:57 pm ET

You are kidding with this stuff in the comments.
Obama is damaged now and it makes more sense to wait to see voter reaction in Indiana which will give us a better picture of America as a whole the NC. If he wins it then Hillary is done. If not, he is in trouble as the frontrunner and his baggage will probably be too much to win and we will see him again in 4 to 8 years. Leave it to the Democratic Party to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Wright will speak again folks so this mess is not over.

Isaac   April 30th, 2008 1:56 pm ET

Clinton has just as many flaws going into the general election as Obama. At this point they're each equally electable as the other. Obama has Wright as the albatross around his neck, but don't forget some of the asinine comments Hillary has said over the past few months. Snipers, anyone? Does anybody seriously think that the Republicans don't have enough artillery against Hillary to make her a laughing stock in the fall?

And as I've said before, Bill has sounded like as much of a loony of late as Wright has. Obama has (or had) Wright as a friend, but at least he isn't married to him!

Sharon   April 30th, 2008 1:56 pm ET

I have never see our country at it worst then I am seeing during these election primaries. Our country is more divided then ever. It makes it harder and harder for me to believe that this is truly a land of the free and country where there is opportunity for everyone. What are we really afraid of with this election primaries?

The Clinton camp and media, can spin the "importance" of a victory in Indiana all they want. The reality is, whether Hillary wins or loses Indiana by a close margin (i.e. 51%-49% either way), there will be a minimal difference in terms of the # of pledged delegates that she will gain on Obama.

I just ran some numbers with today's delegate estimates. She would literally need to win each of the remaining states by a margin of 60% to 40% (Includes N. Carolina and Indiana). In addition, she would also have to win the remaining superdelegates at a rate of 66% to 34% (roughly 2 to 1) in order to secure the Democratic nomination.

Short of Obama announcing Rev. Wright as his running mate, I don't see how she can win. Why doesn't the media better emphasize the reality of her situation. The math does not lie. By the way, CNN's Delegate calculator is the coolest!

If Hillary Clinton manages to get elected (I hope not) – she does so well with people who lack college education – maybe she will cut education spending as her first act as president.

Her Bin Laden commercials, blaming Obama for the (nut-job) Reverend Wright (I don't see any Republicans forced to apologize when major evangelical preachers were referring to the prophet Mohammed as a terrorist) – incredible.

What will Hillary do at 3am? Maybe have a dream about that sniper fire, followed by a late-morning photo op with some "crocodile tears"

While Hillary '08 is a long shot at best I can take comfort in Hillary '12 as a likely scenario. Obama will lose to McCain and 4 more years of McBush will pave the way for Hillary. This year will prove to be a very tough learning lesson for the DNC and the democratic party.

Please consider that Hillary is the choice of the right wing talk show hosts. Is this because they like her policies more (gas tax holiday like McCain's plan) or because they know they can beat her and they fear Obama?

TONI   April 30th, 2008 1:51 pm ET

You know in all the blogs I have been reading the past few days, alot of voters are sorry they voted for B.Obama, and wish they could take their votes back. Well they cant, but Superdelegates CAN ! and should in my opinion. Why everyone is pressing to get out the Superdelegate vote is beyond me. Let the all the states vote... then decide! If Obama shows no stregnth in winning the General, the superdelegates who would like to change their vote to Hilary can. This race should be played out to the end. I beleive if the information we have obtained this week had happened a few months ago, Mrs. Clinton would already be the nominee. Play it out, there may be more to come. As far as hurting the party is concerned, I think the dnc did that to themselves by not seating votes, and making poor choices on behalf of the voters.

Althouhg registered as an Independent during the primary (NH) I was for all of 10 minutes a Democrat and supported Barack Obama. I will still vote for him if he is the nominee but the way the medica is butchering him and giving Hillary a free ride (Paul vs Clinton) it appears that he may not make it. The last time I did not like a single candidate that was running for president I voted for Ross Pero. This time I do not have that choice so guess I will write in NON OF THE ABOVE (McCain, Clinton or Nader).

dlr   April 30th, 2008 1:47 pm ET

Who won Pa and Tx?

MB   April 30th, 2008 1:47 pm ET

The DNC knows that Obama is the man and he has won the most votes and delegates and has brought over 1 million new registered democrats into the party. SHE CANNOT WIN and whatever respect anyone in the party had for her and her husband, it is done. She cooked her own goose.
Bill Clinton almost destroyed the democratic party when he was in office. Obama is the new face of the Democratic Party and the people in the know, know this. They will not overturn this

HH   April 30th, 2008 1:47 pm ET

Its over. DNC members do not count, they rule nothing and are paid hacks on the Clintons be half. She has rolled out no one that holds any power or is good freinds with Obama.

And YES PUERTO RICO IS NOT A STATE AND SHOULD COUNT FOR NOTHING. It does not vote in the general election.

Veterans For Obama   April 30th, 2008 1:47 pm ET

Hillary can't win unless ALL the super delegates go her way. Why is this contest still going? And why are Super wasting their votes on an unellectable entity like Clinton.

Paul vs Clinton is about to explode, mark my words.

Elsie Mckenzie   April 30th, 2008 1:46 pm ET

Im an independent voter. Im so sick and tired of the Clinton's wanted to cling to the throne eight years of Bill Clinton its time to move on and stop trying to lie and cheat to get into the White House. I don't know why is anyone in the Media is not investigating the people who's donating money to the Clinton's foundation I think they have some interest with Hillary Clinton wanting to be the President. why is Hillary Clinton did not release her 2007 income tax return? When Senator Obama release His tax return. We need a fresh face in the White house a change.

John Smith   April 30th, 2008 1:46 pm ET

Hillary is doing what the Clintons know what to do best. I am just puzzled by her followers!

Like most people who are abused and cannot leave a relationship, Hillary has shown this pattern again and again.

Abused by Bill (an impeched president), she continues to stay with him because of the $$$

Knowing that she has been defeated in this primary, she stays on and on and on, "hoping" (oops) that things will change.

Gerald F.   April 30th, 2008 1:46 pm ET

I see the 'New Politics' is in fine form today: Thrust-Jab-Slash................
Wouldn't a phrase like: "We're doing better than her!" work just as fine? Maybe? Be just a bit less sounding viscious. Last time I looked, both Senators were on the same team. You know? The Democrats?

Eric   April 30th, 2008 1:45 pm ET

Just finished reading about how Hillary is bashing Obama for not offering the summer gas tax relief. A difference of 30$ over three months, that's what we call having a real clear vision for the future. And politics as usual, petty, low, abrasive, exactly the kind people don't want to see anymore. But there is a lady out there who's not getting the message. Let's pray it will be over soon. Even Obama is bored! After all her relentless efforts and attacks, the only reaction she gets from this man is boredom. Talk about someone who can keep his composure.

A REAL DEMOCRAT   April 30th, 2008 1:45 pm ET

I am happy the SuperDelegates are picking sides, but maybe next time we have primaries we can agree to: follow the rules and forego the SDs? I don't feel any group or organization should override the will of the entire group if its supposed to be democratic. Just a thought.

So why can't we agree Obama and Clinton supporters to come together? You people on these blogs sit around all day bad mouthing each other, but it doesn't solve the problems that we face. Even though I am an Obama supporter, I will vote for Clinton if that's what it takes. Listen, don't forget they both are politicians; its just that both of them have different styles. We need to stop the name-calling, the bickering, the blaming of the media bias for either candidate; the republicans didn't have to do anything to ruin this if we loose, we did it to ourselves. Stop being so stubborn and self-righteous as to not vote Democrat to spite the other candidate. Don't take it so personally, its not the men vs. women, its not black vs. white, its not rich vs. poor. When will it start being about us as a whole? If nothing this campaign has shown us, is that we do still have a lot of divisions, but at the end of the day we're all still Americans and still Democrats. Just take a step back and look at what we're doing. You all are adults and need to stop bickering, its childish. Don't let the media or the pundits decide for you, you do the research and decide for yourself.

Paul   April 30th, 2008 1:45 pm ET

The Superdelegates are not following the will of the Hill-Billys from Pennsylvania. I'm not sure who is smarter, the Hill-Billy's with very little education who are voting for Hillary or these superdelegates who have college educations and are voting more than not for Obama. Hmmmm. Why aren't the superdelegates listening to the Hill-Billy's and supporting Hillary? Maybe it's because the American people who have a college education are favoring Obama. Just a thought.

Kimberly Peacock   April 30th, 2008 1:44 pm ET

They are just ensuring a President McCain. I and many others will never vote Obama and its not due to race.

So I'm getting used to the idea of President McCain. Maybe that will send a signal to certain democrats to wake up and smell the coffee.

It's imperative that the delegates support Obama at this point. All Hillaray is doing is damaging the party and the rest of america in that she is giving the Republicans ammo fir the fall. Why doesn't some brave, honest person who works in her campaign tell her: "it's over" Basically, Michael Jackson and Elvis could have benefited if someone told them the truth . . . I wish someone would help her on her way before she causes irreversible damage.

Oren Ovadia, California   April 30th, 2008 1:43 pm ET

I am so mad at the Superdelegates and I wish they are reading this. Obama's team were screaming that Superdelegates should not over turn the will of the people. So why a Californian will vote against the will of his State???? I guess politics as usual for Obama, CHANGE??? Change what Obama? It's only Change when it doesnt effect your run for the nomination? That means that Michigan and Florida should go to Hillary and all the majority of deligetes and Superdeliegets because she would win it big, if another election will happen!!!

Obamas supporters, don't be so happy. He will never be the President!!!!

You guys need to get real!!!

Wal-Mart   April 30th, 2008 1:43 pm ET

First they called us Wal-Mart democrats.

Instead of peeling away the college educated, high income Hillary supporters, we saw through the hype of hope propaganda.

We strongly united behind Hillary, the champion of ALL democrats.

We stood in solidarity behind ALL democrats regardless of race, ethnicity, income, age, geography, gender or creed.

The strategy of hate while preaching unity will not fool nor win over voters.

Alex   April 30th, 2008 1:42 pm ET

Stop your lies   April 30th, 2008 1:42 pm ET

The Obama supporters blog nothing but hatred and divisiveness- just like their hypocritical candidate.

I never get posted- so I added the above negative comment- CNN likes negative. Sorry but I won't go vulgar like the Obama people.

Obama, with his good judgement, was unable to discern the true character, see the political positions or see the agenda of his close friend, mentor and pastor of TWENTY years.

It only took Americans a few hours or days to see the narcisistic and egotistical bombastic Wright for who he is.

What does that speak of Obama's judgement when dealing with world leaders and discerning their true intent?

Or… is it just political posturing to only NOW distance himself from Wright?

Either way it is BAD news.

Rick from NJ   April 30th, 2008 1:42 pm ET

Democrats wake up!
Obama is not going to be a fighter in the General Election.
He will lose with all his baggage.
Next time.
Please support Hillary
The Republicans will blast this guy.
He can't take the heat, nor can he win over the average American guy.
Please Democrats.
Republicans want him to be the nominee because he will be "swiftboated" out so fast.

goodcitizen   April 30th, 2008 1:42 pm ET

Obama will never win GE! Yesterday's speech he had to distance himself from that evil racist was too late. American people will never forget those images of that racist. Obama uses those people and now he wants to throw them out. It's hard to believe how American people will forgive this.

Hillary is a real deal. She is very smart, tough, and strong. She is the ONE really can CHANGE OUR NATION. The world will respect America again.

Go Hillary, We love you!

Peter in Canada   April 30th, 2008 1:41 pm ET

The single most important thing to consider in selecting a candidate for the presidency is HONESTY. All politicians lie to some extent, some are just naive, however if you have a president (and you do) that is not trustworthy, then you are sunk!
Facts:
1. McCain's health plan is not a health plan. Clinton's universal health plan is not achievable and is incompatible with private insurance. In Canada private health insurance is illegal! Obama's plan might see a large number of new folks insured and see some portability in health care plans. In the final analysis America will probably never see more than 90% of its citizens with health care.
2. Windfall profits tax on energy companies will result in less domestic drilling and lower reserves or supplies of oil and natural gas thus driving up import costs and thus simply increasing costs of both commodities. America needs a DRASTIC change in its energy policy, not tinkering!
3. America desperately needs a national infrastructure "Marshall Plan" as Huckabee suggested. It is the one form of Government investment that stays within America's borders, stimulates job creation, pays well and stimulates the domestic (not foreign) economy.
4. The only way to decrease the price of oil is to increase fuel efficiency through domestic R&D and therefore reduce demand. This R&D is only possible, if it is to remain patent protected, if Clinton like "free trade" policies are vastly curtailed.
5. Obama promises change, maybe yes maybe no. It is imperative that very drastic change occur or else America's economy will be shot! America needs drastic changes to the allocation of wealth within the country and a fundamental re-allocation of the "American Dream".
6. Intensive Government oversight and regulation are obviously needed. It is readily apparent that too few folks understand the complexity of the current economy, and that the benchmarks and analyses of the Regan era are insufficient to properly evaluate or monitor America's complex economy. Globalization and corporatism have drastically altered the economic landscape – forever!

Obama speaks of hope, and I hope you are listening because the same ole same ole is a recipe for disaster!

chuck   April 30th, 2008 1:41 pm ET

This whole thing has become so mean spirited between the two sides of the Democratic party that the Republican Party is looking more and more appealing. At this point the Democratic party is more divided than ever. The DNC should have stepped in along time ago. I have never voted republican in my life, but I will this time. At this point I can't stand Obama or Clinton, or any of their supporters. Wait until November when the Republican party wins in a landslide. Bye Bye Democrats. I also want my donations to the Democratic party back!!!!!!!

LLOYD   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

Expect the Clinton Attack Machine to be in full-force any second now. I can hear the headline now:

"Hey wait a minute! Whoever said that a fight was a bad thing??? There have been much more contentious primaries in the past. Just look at the late 60's early 70's Democratic Primaries for example – those primaries were hotly contested too, yet the party still survived."

- Howard Wolfson

Yes Mr. Wolfson, that is correct, there have been some heated primaries in the past as well, however, do you remeber what happened to the Demorcratic nominee during the General Election after the party primaries were over???? Oh thats right....THEY LOST!!!!

History....it's a tricky thing

Linda. Boston, MA   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

Haha, we can play this game all day Hillary! You release one, we'll release one... maybe two. Word is Obama has at least 20 more waiting in the wings. This is VERY bad news for Hillary. Even if they split the remaining superdelegates down the middle, Hillary will still lose. She has to grab something like 65-70% of the remaining superdelegates AND pledged delegates, and so far she is doing less than 40%. Most of them since PA (actually, since Texas/Ohio.... actually since Super Tuesday) have gone to Obama by a huge majority.

The writing is on the wall... can you read it?

Laurel   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

Let the Superdelegate domino cascade continue! At this rate, we may know the Democratic nominee BEFORE the next scheduled primaries. Keep it up!

Greg, NY   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

the thing is... elector votes in the general election are not divided evenly... like the primaries are... therefore if you look at who took the states that matter... hillary is the clear front-runner for the democratic nomination... please do not let the "red states" screw us all again with their nomination

LISA   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

This just goes to show that she is NOT more alectable than Obama.. it the supers thought so they would be jumping behind her... APPARENTLY NOT!!!!

Grant   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

Lets see how many Cinton has in her deck, I think the Obama campaign is toying with her,,let her bleed out her Supers as they gleefully match em 1/1...both sides have them lined up..she needs to take him 2-1, not match, so far he has her 2-1 since Penn,,,BY teh weekend, she might out.....good strategy, then the voters of NC and Indy, really know this is over.

Called calling the bluff....The cupboard for the Clintons must be pretty bare, if she has to make a case to convince the Supers to support her, this obviously means she does not have them! Obama has not made Supers a focal point of his recent campaign, which means HE HAS THEM! He may play more to catch her in the Super column of take a slight lead before May 6

tda   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

LET'S KEEP THIS GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad news for clinton

In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!

Why wont CNN be fair… hillary clintons pastor just was charged with child molestion for touching a 7 year old girl her pastor name is Rev. William Procanick …. and why isnt cnn reporting the peter paul vs.. clinton case…. 17 million dollar law suit that they have aginst them…. in cally…..

Paul, Albany New York   April 30th, 2008 1:40 pm ET

Blah blah blah.... all of you Obama supporter's are a joke. Do you really think he's going to win, even if he does secure the DEM nomination?

Rev. Wright has FOREVER damaged/forced out the real Obama, he's lost a lot of the independent votes already. Not to mention, a HUGE percentage of Hillary Clinton supporter's (Democrats) will DEFINITELY support McCain in the general, like me. Don't forget, he needs Hillary's supporter's to win.

I can't wait to hear all the whining by the Obama-morons in November when John McCain wins by the biggest landslide in US history.

Rose - Baltimore, MD   April 30th, 2008 1:39 pm ET

Hillary's lead in supers has shrunk to 21 from over 100, 3 months back. it looks like it's Obama who won PA.

Coretta   April 30th, 2008 1:39 pm ET

Hillary is not a leader she is a follower. She jumped on the wagon with the Republicans to vote for the war in Iraq. Now she is saying she is sorry for voting that way. She is doing it again with the gas tax holiday, that she knows nothing about. It looked good from Mcains point of view and again she followed. If you do the math, the gas tax holiday will save each individual $28 in a 3 month period. It will cost 300,000 jobs in the US. The gas tax is used to rebuild roads and bridges. Losing this money will cost thousand of job losses She is using this gas tax holiday as a political gain. I would love to see it back fire like Nafta, which she also voted for and is now against. Hillary is not making good choices and I would not want her answering the phone at 3am. The only bad decision on Obama is his choice of pastors. Hillary is making bad political decisions.

michelle20   April 30th, 2008 1:39 pm ET

i think the Superdelegates realize that yes we will hear about the Rev. Wright issue in Novemeber, but it's ONE issue! if they had more we would have heard it long before now. If Hill is the nominee we will be reliving all of the scandals of the 90's -every last thing Bill or Hillary ever did to tick off the American people or to cause them to question their honesty will be aired constantly. Add that to a divided party if Hill somehow wins the nomination based on the superdlegates and it will be a disaster for the Dems. Obama is the only chance for the Dems in 08.

Ed   April 30th, 2008 1:39 pm ET

CA climatologist   April 30th, 2008 1:38 pm ET

It's a good thing we found out about the political philosophy that Obama has been listening to for the paast 20 years. Now the supers can do the smart thing and cast a vote for a qualified nominee, Hillary.

YES WE WILL!
Hillary '08

Bill   April 30th, 2008 1:38 pm ET

WAY TO GO HILLARY, if you get 63% of everything left, Barack still has the delegates he needs. Get people to keep donating to your cause, I mean, what else would they spend their hard earned money on, gas? food? their mortgage? it's only a recession.

p.s. I love the way you took Barry Goldwater's ideas about Viet Nam and reapplied them to Iran, brilliant.

Marc in DeKalb, IL   April 30th, 2008 1:38 pm ET

It's about time that some superdelegates are stepping up to their responsibilities to the party.

Peg   April 30th, 2008 1:38 pm ET

I certainly hope these aren't supers Obama "has had already in his pocket" and he's just bringing them on because Hillary is on a bit of a "roll" here. We'll see. It would be great to get this thing closer so Obama can reach his 2024 very, very soon.

Obama, respond to Hillary's ad in Indiana, you were right in the judgement you made regarding NOT supporting the gas tax. There were a couple economists on this morning and they both said it would only be a temporty fix (pandering) and would cost us in the long run and depleat the monies set aside for infrastructure work. People need to know this. Get goin' Obama, move faster!

Lynn   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

The Republicans will eat Obama alive if he is the nominee. We don't want a continuation of Bush policies. Voting for Hillary is our best option.

Hillary ABSOLUTELY MUST win 2 superdelegates to every 1 that Barack wins to even maintain a slight chance of getting the nomination. If she simply stays even with Barack in superdelegates, very quickly she will find that she needs 3 superdelegates for Barack's ever one, and then it IS mathematically over.

Sweet – bring 'em all out! Let's get this thing finished!

Ben   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

Gail   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

Since PA, Obama 10, Clinton 6....who won PA????

Portland, OR   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

I cannot for the love of anyone's life understand the Hypocrisy within the Obama camp. Someone please enlighten me as to HOW Rev. Wright attributing his hate mongering to scriptures from the "Bible" any different and less offensive from an Imam or a Mullah's hateful preachings in some Afghani Madrasa attributing them to their holy book Koran?. You know they too have had "bad" experiences under the hands of the west/GWB or the soviets and etc. But THAT does not make it wRIGHT.

Michael   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

The un-pledged number keeps dropping and the more they trade super delegates the harder the road for Hillary. She's at an almost impossibility now. I'm afraid Hillary the time has come to bow out gracefully. It was a good run, but we have got to get this party unified.

Kevin   April 30th, 2008 1:37 pm ET

It's great that there coming out, but they're as evenly split as the other factors in the race – popular vote, pledged delegates... oh wait, Obama's winning that metric, and popular vote can't really be measured due to the f-ups in Ohio, Michigan and then of course, the four caucaus states.

So, maybe a one-on-one hoops tournament to solve this – for the Obama fans, or a shots tourney for the Clinton fans.

Rick from NJ   April 30th, 2008 1:36 pm ET

Senator Obama is not being fair.
He has misled the American people.

End of Story! Obama will NEVER win!!!

Jason, Omaha, NE   April 30th, 2008 1:35 pm ET

I agree, 5 superdelegates for Obama and 4 for Clinton since Pennsylvania, this is not what she was hoping for. She can't afford to split 50/50 anymore, she is too far behind. If Obama wins NC by 10+ points and Indiana is about even, can she stay in?

Peter   April 30th, 2008 1:35 pm ET

At the end of the primary everybody will go to HILLARY.
the most qualified and prepared to win in November.
HILLARY 08

NickNas   April 30th, 2008 1:34 pm ET

This just proves that Hillarys " BIG" Win in PA didn't impress anyone. She always takes credit for wins she SHOULD get and dimiss' all defeats as having no meaning.

NONE of her wins have been as large as most of Obamas wins over her but you don't read about those. She keeps getting by with small numbers when Obama has beaten her by as much as 50%

Ken   April 30th, 2008 1:34 pm ET

I cannot believe that there are so many "blind" people that are following the "Pied Piper" (Obama). Obama will not have what it takes to beat McCain in November, so I suggest to ALL of you to stop following the "Pied Piper" and get behind Hillary Clinton, so that she WILL be able to beat McCain in November.

I do not want a "Rookie" to become our next President! There is still the question (and I believe that everyone should think about) of Rev. Wright. How can anyone belong to a church for 20 years and not have some of the hate that Wright has for the USA, as well as the "White" people? How can someone sit in the pews and listen to such utter nonsense?

WAKE UP AMERICA! Let us ALL get behind Hillary Clinton and push her over the finish line! So that a person with the talent, skills, knowledge and experience can beat McCain, and go on to becoming our nest President.

Michelle   April 30th, 2008 1:34 pm ET

OBAMA'S SD POCKETS ARE DEEP.

Keep pulling 'em Barack!

Jeremy   April 30th, 2008 1:34 pm ET

The recent string of Super Delegate endorsements should really be worrying for the Hillary team. With all the problems surrounding Rev. Wright, one would think that Hillary would not only be picking up big swaths of uncommitted Supers, but potentially taking some away from Obama. This is clearly not happening and in fact, Obama is picking up way more than he will probably need to clinch the nomination. So long as he wins NC and OR and remains competitive in the remaining primaries, he will likely only need about 25% of the remaining Supers to clinch this thing.

Needless to say, Hillary is in a really really precarious spot.

these superdelegates flocking to obama seem just as ill-informed about who an actually carry this thing in fall as the people who voted for him in the primaries.

the longer this thing goes, the more we're learning about obama that 1)goes against his message and 2)speaks volumes of his (at this time) ill-preparation to lead our country out of the mess we're in.

broad strokes won't sell it for me, and the more hillary fights him off, the better. she is tested and ready. he can't even show up to his one term in senate enough to cast important votes that aren't geared toward painting him as read for the presidency.

should he get the nomination, this country will, in all likelihood, continue its dismal downward spiral.

Dusacre   April 30th, 2008 1:32 pm ET

Super delegates keep going. A ratio 1 to 1 is just fine! This strategy gives the pledged delegates or the voters the final word.

Kim   April 30th, 2008 1:32 pm ET

I believe that even those who have been a part of the old Washington have had their eyes opened. Hillary is definitely showing the country the nasty way to do things. The trouble is that she doesn't see any of this as wrong. "This is the fun part" said Hillary.

It's about time super D's. Put the Clintons away so they can go to jail over Watergate-like Peter Paul v. Clintons. I KNOW YOU GUYS DON'T WANT THAT TO COME OUT IF SHE IS THE NOMINEE. The neo-cons will bring out everything on Hillary from 1964 to the present. She won't even have a chance to explain herself. She won't be able to laugh that off.

Thank you for being smart Super D's to get on the winning team. Obama 2008!

Tony get off that Xbox.It is agame!! Hillary is ahead of superdelegates tally. The way things are progressing,Hillary is just where she need to be.Pledged delegates are still galore. By the time the primaries are over,we will have a winner, for nomination and a key to contest General Election -That will be Hillary Rodham Clinton.Keep looking ahead!!!!!!!!!!

This is an interesting pace for the super delegates. Things started to pick up last week, and now they are accelerating this week. At the rate the super delegates are going, this very well could be decided shortly after the NC and Indiana primaries.

Excellent that the super delegates are finally making their endorsements. This will finally be all over by June 3. The rest of the world is watching and waiting and praying for President Obama. Not only is he a smart and good man, he will be a GREAT President.

Pay attention people. They've been matching SD for SD for quite some time. Also, Michigan and Florida are about to be seated in Clinton's favor. Don't jump the gun, this thing is far from over. The Clintons are at their best when threatened, and they fight for victory and always prevail. I don't want to trust my country in the hands of someone with no record. I am all about faith, but not when it comes to hiring the president of the United States. Another 4-8 years of accomplishments, and Obama can try again.

Once Hillary wins Indiana, West Virginia and Kentucky (the latter two states that have polls showing huge leads, 28%-30+%, for Hillary), then she will be seen as the candidate that has the best chance in the midwest and south, important areas for the Dems.

Oh yeah, don't be surprised if Hillary cuts into Obama's lead in NC and only loses by 5%. Trends are already showing that to be the case.

Here is the reality, Obama has made some serious gaffes along the way and has shown considerable lack of judegement with his affiliation with Jeremiah Wright and these things are all starting to catch up to him.

His stump speeches are tired and he has NOTHING else of substance to run on.

Reality is these later primaries are telling Dem Superdelegates what Dems are feeling about the two candidates now and that is that Hillary, NOT Obama, is more ELECTABLE!

I think after all the primaries are done, the difference in pledged delegates will be small and the momentum of Hillary's wins in Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia will convince most of the remaining unpledged Superdelegates to vote for Hillary.

She has the support of the base, she has shown more resiliency, she has better credentials to be Commander-in-Chief and she has solutions, NOT speeches, for problems with the economy.

Hillary is the best choice.

Of course, CNN won't post this (like most of my posts) because they tactily support Obama but I can only hope they will be fair this time.

Yes, SHE can!

Dennis F   April 30th, 2008 1:26 pm ET

OBAMA’s Pastor and Spiritual Mentor during a speech to the National Press Club SHOWED NO REMORSE about the racist opinions and anti-American statements, he makes and has made during his Sermons. This is the exact opposite to what Obama said during his Speech on RACE, following the publicized “WRIGHT ISSUE” in which Obama said that Rev. Wright WAS SORRY for these inflammatory statements.
During the speech at the National Press Club Rev Wright also stated that Obama WAS SIMPLY BEING A POLITICIAN, suggesting that Obama shared the same beliefs and that Obama was only speaking as a Politician to the people. In other words Obama was being insincere in his speech in showing his disapproval of the statements made in Wright’s sermons. Would a Pastor of a Church say anything such as this and lie?
The damage to Barack Obama is significant. The issue of whether he believes or agrees entirely with Rev. Wright’s opinions or political views is not the main point. Senator Obama attended the Trinity United Church for over 20 years. His membership to this Church and his support for his Pastor speaks to his lacking in certain necessary attributes that are important for someone who wants to be the President:
Judgement (Bad ??) and Credibility (Lacks ??)
Certainly during that period of time (20 years) Obama who as we all know is a professional, well educated lawyer and Law Professor, would have heard or known of the radical opinions of his Pastor (who supports Louis Farrakhan , Hamas etc). In fact, it is certain that he would have been present on many occasions, where Rev Wright would have been speaking in a controversial manner. Why did he not stand up as a Leader within the Church and try to change its thinking and ways?
Obama knew that Rev Jeremiah Wright had a history which included radical political views and surprisingly Barack Obama still placed Rev Wright on his Campaign team. Why would he do this??
Obama defended Rev Wright during his first Speech on RACE, suggesting that he disagreed with Wright's statement but could not disown him as he could not disown his white Grandmother, because he considered (and now does not consider) Wright to be just as a member of his own family , similar to an old Uncle.
Obama has painted himself into a corner so what can he now say to America that is believable? His credibility is in question again and if you analyze objectively his actions regarding this and other similar issues, it is very difficult to believe or take him seriously on anything he says.
It now can be said that Obama’s “chickens have come home to roost”.

Confused in Midwest   April 30th, 2008 1:26 pm ET

Here is the endorsement from Caps!

Today, I am announcing my endorsement of Barack Obama for President.

This wasn't an easy decision for me. Democrats were blessed this year with many talented and capable candidates, and I believe both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama would make fine presidents. But Sen. Obama's proven judgment, his hopeful vision for America, and his unmatched ability to motivate millions of Americans eager for change made the choice for me.

I have enormous respect for Sen. Clinton. She is smart, dedicated and a champion of those often underserved and forgotten. She has a remarkable record of achievement that inspires us all. And her election would fulfill a life long dream for so many of us who have been fighting for women's rights. She would make a great president.

But for me, Barack Obama is the best choice.

There are a number of reasons I could cite. He has promoted smart policies to address our nation's greatest challenges. He was right on Iraq when so many were wrong. He speaks with an eloquence that most public officials can only dream of and is inspiring millions of Americans to reconnect with politics or connect for the first time. And he can win in November.

These are all true and good reasons, but I also believe Barack Obama is the better choice because of something larger and perhaps more important. Simply put, he has made a call to the better angels of our nature. He is challenging us to lift ourselves out of the ugliness that increasingly consumes Washington, where the heat of your argument counts for more than the light it should bring. He is asking us to stand together as Americans and transcend the traditional lines that have so often divided us by party affiliation, economic status, gender, or race. He is calling on us to rethink our approach to problem solving in the face of the enormous challenges facing our country, like Iraq, economic recession, global warming, record energy prices, and 47 million Americans without health insurance, to name just a few. I believe in his effort to put our country on a new path and want to help him make that happen.

I came to Washington 10 years ago after winning the seat my husband Walter held. In office for a mere 10 months before he died, he had lost none of the idealism and faith in American democracy that propelled his life. Quite frankly, I don't believe he ever would have and I know that I have tried to keep that fire burning. But I'll admit it's hard, when so much of what's going on around you is less about meeting our country's challenges and more about demonizing your political opponents.

Walter once said that "we are strongest as people when we are directed by that which unites us, rather than giving into the fears, suspicions, innuendos and paranoias that divide." For years I have been waiting for a president that speaks to that vision. I believe Barack Obama may very well be that rare leader.

As of today the ELECTED delegate count. Those that come from States that held primary elections where the will of the voters count...

The count from those states the vote is:

Clinton 1156
Obama 1162

Any lead Obama has comes from party regulars that are either caucus state delegates or super delegates. The voters have this as a dead heat.

Obama supporters that think Clinton should drop out of the race are just crazy!

Clinton has won 4 out of 5 of the last primaries. Obama, well it is nice that you describe a man as cool in crises, but since HE HIMSELF is the one who created the crises in the first place...well that is not cool!

Bush has a record of creating crises as well! It got us into a war in IRAQ
(By the way, the resolution was to use force to get the weapons inspectors BACK into Iraq...it was NOT a resolution of war! JUST ONE MORE OBAMA twist of the truth.

Obama is clever, he is smart, he is an attorney...If you want drama in the White House, vote OBAMA. If you want true leadership, vote Clinton.

Actually, I think Bush has created more drama than most of us need in two lifetimes. As for CNN coverage...Obama creates the drama, then gets hours and hours of free TV coverage to explain himself...then it is analyzed to death over the next 24 hours....HE is the divisive one, not Clinton. His pastor is correct, he is just your average politician.

Oh the exciting world of politics....you just never know what is going to happen.

All I know is I still support Obama-I believe he is the best to lead this country, even with crazy Wright trying to sabotage his efforts. (which by the way is really sad but don't even get me started on that)

Because Obama's mentor and inspiration opened his big mouth again, Barack is probably going to lose Indiana. Then, we'll see a real deluge of Superdelegates for Hillary. Barack has no hope in the GE, and I am now no longer in favor of a joint ticket because of all his baggage.

Clinton is the best choice. Obama should drop out and save this election for the democrats. He's never going to get past John McCain in a million years!

The liberal element in the democratic party will mess up everything for the party and eventually the country. John McCain will beat him in November.

Super Delegates choose Clinton now.

Dan, NJ   April 30th, 2008 1:23 pm ET

Great news for Obama. Clinton needs to be taking supers 2-1 down the stretch. Since she will lose the elected delegates, a number of supers will come out for Obama in June so that 2-1 number probably underestimates what she needs.

But the real news for Obama is that as more and more supers declare, the game gets shorter and that is always a good thing if you're winning.

I dont understand why superdelegates keep backing Obama. I mean, i am still relatively neutral in this race, but seeing that polls have indicated that Clinton has a better chance in winning the GE, and the superdelegate system was created precisely for the purpose of ensuring the strongest candidate wins at the DNC in the event of the close race... isnt it a no brainer?

Its also puzzling that Obama supporters (look to the other comments on other articles) have continuously bashed Clinton everytime he gets a superdelegate saying her campaign is over. The obsession that his supporters have is verging on unhealthy for our electoral process, more precisely because its becoming a game of who is more appealing and charismatic rather than who is truly suggesting changes. Obama talks about change, but rarely gives specifics on what he will do. Clinton doesnt talk about fluffy ideas of change, but focuses on policy changes she will implement. Furthermore, the attacks (and yes, Obama has been attacking) that Obama has been throwing at Clinton are oft puzzling yet never challenged. He criticises Clinton for her implementation of a mandate within her health insurance policy, but wouldnt a mandate also exist in his policy just to less people (parents for children)? as such wouldnt any problem he have with her mandate exist within his mandate as well? Why does he say Clinton is turning negative, or has been negative, when his own campaign has turned negative as well.

I am cool with candidates going negative and pointing out the flaws with each others' policy, but when Obama CLAIMS he doesnt, and people buy into that, and then he goes on and becomes negative nonetheless- thats puzzling, and whats more puzzling is how the media buys into it too! If his campaign calls for a conference call to put generals on the phone to bash clinton with regard her bosnia faux paus then dont run your campaign on the bogus notion that you are above 'politics'. Run that message of hope and removing old politics and stuff only if thats TRULY what you stand for. The hypocrisy of the Obama campaign is so telling, yet the american public is to blind to the truth. Obama needs to have the media hound his inaccuracy and unjustified attacks NOW. He is attacking, you know that, and i know that. Now make sure Obama cannot get away with telling the Americans that he is above that, that he wants to change washington, that he wants to remove 'old politics'. Make sure he owns up to the fact that he has become washington, bought into old politics and is playing a dirty game like everyone is. America listen up, dont listen to Obama.

Why are superdelegates supporting a candidate who just rolled over on the guy he said was like a family member, and presided over his marriage and prayed with him before his run for the Presidency? Now Obama is calling Wright a spectacle. What a spineless, gutless, political maneuvering wimp. He caved to the media and pundits pressure. I would have had a lot more respect for him if he had stuck to his guns. Can't he think for himself ? The bigger problem is that superdelegates and supporters like Russert rush in to keep bailing him out. Do they care about Democrats winning in November? If so, then what are they doing?????? This guy will sink us.

Obama are splitting them 50/50. Its over and given her deficit and his literally insurmountable lead at this point it is time to drop out.

Tim Stringer   April 30th, 2008 1:17 pm ET

I thought California went for Clinton ? It sounds like superdelegates aren't paying attention to how their states voted .Thats interesting .

Susan / PA   April 30th, 2008 1:16 pm ET

Obama with his strength, judgement and integrity will always be a step ahead of Clinton

Thank You Supers for knowing Obama is the best choice for our country and diplomacy.

YES WE CAN 08

OBAMA THE WISE CHOICE
OBAMA THE LEADER WITH VISION JUST LIKE SOLOMON OF OLD.
OBAMA WHAT McCAIN AND CLINTON WISH THEY CAN BE.

Moses, Ca.   April 30th, 2008 1:16 pm ET

The flood gates are opening now. Who will get washed away. Not Obama, he has the life raft of support.
Obama 08/12

DELMARVA   April 30th, 2008 1:16 pm ET

Keep 'em coming! Now is the time to declare yourselves!

NOMORE OBAMA BITTER   April 30th, 2008 1:15 pm ET

I guess when Hillary wins the Indiana contest and future contests. More superdelegates will flock to her. Even the superdelegates who had pledged to Obama will switch to her. Remember....the question here is electability. Obama has a lot of baggage. Do you want Mcain to win in November?

NoMoreBillorHillaryClintonInWhiteHouse   April 30th, 2008 1:15 pm ET

Why are some of the Superdelegates Supporting Hillary don't they know she can not win they must be idiots.

Nancy   April 30th, 2008 1:15 pm ET

And the race is on.....and it's Obama by a nose; no, make that ahead by a mile.. There really are some smart men and women in this country and i am proud of them.

O8AMA

william   April 30th, 2008 1:14 pm ET

Wolf i guess Donna B is cleaning out her desk and getting ready to resign. It does appear that the Nomination is going to be decided by the Supers and as I recall she said if it came to that I will resign my position. It's too bad that HRC has driven us to this point.

jodi   April 30th, 2008 1:14 pm ET

Its about time those SD stop the long drawn out primary. All you SD declare now. We dems cannot wait to show the Americam people the empty policies of John McCain. It occured to me after hearing McCain's gas prices policy and his health care policy is that he has no solid plan for America. His only policy he had was to say "the surge is working" and now that there are other important issues at the forefront other than the war he is lost. Think about it all.

ART in TX   April 30th, 2008 1:13 pm ET

I'm so glad they are coming out!!!!!!!!!!! Back Clinton or Back Obama but back someone already!

Tony   April 30th, 2008 1:13 pm ET

In the immortal words of the announcer guy from Mortal Kombat... "FINISH HER!" They can trade superdelegates all day long, but that won't do much good for Hillary, considering she's still DOWN over 130 pledged delegates already!

Obama '08.

Mek, WA   April 30th, 2008 1:13 pm ET

OH Hillary, Oh poor Hillary. she started the game and now she is speeding up the closure of the Clinton dynasty. If the super delegates continue to come out at this pace she will be out before end of May.
Bye Hilary
GO Obama Nation '08, 2012 with wise superdelegates and smart citizens!!!!

obama lover   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

well great maybe we can move on to more important issues like saving our country and i know obama can
yes we can

Ready for Change   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

I hope they get on board with Hillary, because Hillary is the only democrat in this race that can win a general election. There is no way Obama will ever be elected, we will be in the same boat Democrats have found themselves in too many times already. Nobody, not even most of the Democrats, want a left wing liberal nut who hangs out with racist, terrorist, American hating people his whole life while giving speeches about "hope."

chicago chris   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

back and forth, back and forth. ugh. will Clinton drop out yet?

alice2   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

Great ! I hope the other Superdels follow suit. It's about time. Hillary 's negative attacks on Barack is only helping McCain. She(Hillary) is trying to hurt Barack & in doing so is hurting the Dem Party.

Lets Get Ready for Change!   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

Common on superdelegates... Lets get this thing over with!

PIPKIN   April 30th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

more power to obama, i belive that all the delegates can see through the clintons i cant wait for the indiana primary so we can finally move forward!!!!!!!!!! with obama as our nominee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vote for Honesty; Watch the sniper fire.   April 30th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

The superdelegate's are falling like nine pins for Obama.

From now on, Hillary needs something like 2 supers (at least) for every 1 new one that Obama gets, just for her to break even. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Xavier, St. Louis, MO   April 30th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

Great news for the Democratic Party! Let's get this thing over with and move on to John McCain.

YES WE CAN!

Ca Native   April 30th, 2008 1:11 pm ET

Thank to Rev Wright... the first real chance of electing an African American is fading fast. Oddly – it was the man's black pastor which brought him down.... the same pastor who blames whitey for all the problems.

Shakespearian!

Michael   April 30th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

This is exciting, I'm wondering if what I said about more SD's choosing a side all day today will actually come true?

I'll have to wait and see.

Obama 2008.

Theresa in Minneapolis   April 30th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

Could it be they're listening to Howard Dean? LOL...

It's nice to see they're finally coming out of the closet and making a stand for the candidate they believe in. I hope this is a new trend and that more will follow suit.

vanchav   April 30th, 2008 1:09 pm ET

Who won PA again???

Seems like Obama did

Venus   April 30th, 2008 1:08 pm ET

California congresswoman with long ties to both Clintons will announce her endorsement of Barack Obama today, a campaign source said.

Rep. Lois Capps, who represents a district on California’s central coast, is the third member of Congress to announce an endorsement of Senator Obama Wednesday, the day after he responded sharply to one of the deepest crises of his campaign, a confrontational and, he said, “appalling” set of remarks by his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The campaign is using the flurry of endorsements to shore up political support and demonstrate the frontrunner’s continuing strength.

Raum   April 30th, 2008 1:08 pm ET

PA didn't do jack for Hillary.
