Clinton: I feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign

Clinton campaigned in Indiana Tuesday.

Clinton campaigned in Indiana Tuesday.

BROWNSBURG, Indiana (CNN) - As Hillary Clinton and John McCain’s separate proposals for a summertime elimination of the gas tax continue to be a focus for all three candidates, Clinton said Thursday insisted her plan isn’t a cure-all, but a temporary break for those feeling the pinch of high gas prices.

“Invariably someone will say something along the lines of, "Well, you know, we shouldn’t be doing these short-term fixes, we shouldn’t try to relieve people’s pain at the pump. We should only have long-term plans.’” Clinton told a small gathering outside Indianapolis. “We need both! It is not either/or.”

“Sen. Obama says we shouldn’t do it and it’s a gimmick, and Sen. McCain says we should do it but we shouldn’t pay for it.” She added. “I sometimes feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign. You know, not too much, not too little. Just right.”

“This isn't a real solution. This is a gimmick,” Obama countered. “This is what Washington does whenever there's a big problem. They pretend that they're solving it to try to get though political season but they don't really solve it.

Meanwhile, Clinton strategist Geoff Garin said their polling has shown "working people appreciate the fact that Senator Clinton understands the incredible economic strain they are facing."

You shoud feel like the criminal that you are. While the media protect you from the peter paul suit, the republicans help to try to get you the democratic nominations so they can gut you like a fish in the general election. I was wondering why Nancy Pelosi would say that Obama and Clinton would not be a good ticket in the election. Now I know.

Maybe 3 or 4 dollars doesn't mean anything to Obama but it certainly does to me! all adds up and it's better to have something small than nothing at all.

Goldilocks? Hillary makes me want to vomit.
Another thinly veiled racist comment from the so called progressive democrat. 'Everybody run from the big black Obamabear! Choose me, the blond white girl'

If you remember the story, you'll remember that Goldilocks broke in the bears house, ate their food without asking, broke a chair and proceeded to get in their bed and take a nap. Kinda like what Hillarylocks is doing to the Democratic Party.

The bears shoulda ate her for lunch.

Bring all the relief you can!!!

I know this will impact truckers more than the average American... in the long run it will keep food prices stable for a little while as well...

Obama should know that the tax relief helps more than just the price at the pump... Right???

    Obama stategist Geoff Garin?

    Don't you edit these postings?

and Hillary is not Goldilocks, she's a cold calculating camelion (sp?)- she goes with the political winds (like her tragic vote for the Iraq war) and she tells different groups what they want to hear.

She has no courage and no leadership ability. She's a follower and a cheap opportunist.

    Mrs. Clinton,
I think coming up with both a short-term and long term plan to help Americans now is the wrong political move. You should just focus on long-term solutions. I think focusing on hope and changes without dealing with the specifics is a move any smart politician should make. Leave your hope and dreams to one man and hope for a better future.

What is the difference between George W Bush and Hillary Clinton? George W Bush is an idiot while Hillary act like one up to a point we are wondering if she is also one. Want another idiot to represent the US, pick Hillary!

Why has the news not been all over the Clintons pardoning all those criminals? This is important. These are the friends of the Clintons. Is America affraid to follow-up on this? Check Hillary's date book and notice all those blacked-out appointments during that time. What else do they owe criminals?

The more I think of the Goldilocks analogy, the better I like it.

Goldilocks is a narcissistic meddler . She tastes everyone's porridge and eats one completely. She breaks a chair and she messes up everyone's bed.

The ending is good too. She runs away.

CNN needs to change what they said as Geoff Garin is not Obama's strategist.

Hillary = Goldilocks? = FANTASY LAND

Hillary needs to get back to REALITY!

Short term solutions ONLY if they make sense! Hillary's doesn't.

The best way to spend less on gas is to move away from our dependency to gas!

ECONOMISTS (REAL EXPERTS) said that since refineries cannot increase their supply of gasoline in the space of a few summer months, lower prices will just boost demand and the benefits will flow to oil companies, not consumers.

"You are just going to push up the price of gas by almost the size of the tax cut," said Eric Toder, a senior fellow at the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center in Washington.”

Hillary provides Bandaid solutions that will make it WORSE in the long run.

CNN has turned SILLY! It's an Entertainment News Channel. It's not serious about news – it's serious about entertianment news. "....News flash – Wolfe Blitzer reports Barack Obama's former pastor had vanilla ice-cream for lunch and sat three rows from Britney Spears." "....News flash – Anderson Cooper will interview Hillary Clinton's former paper boy from Illinois who will testify when she was 13, she wouldn't give him a nickle tip – she kept it for herself."

CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, etc. – You don't want a President to represent the welfare and interest of the American people. You want an actor. Al Pacino vs. Robert DeNiro for President – Oh....let's not forget someone to play John McCain – and representing John McCain – Mickey Rooney

I guess you would feel this way, now that you have gained momentum by attemping to destroy Senator Obama. Even if you win this nomination Senator Clinton, at least the majority of the AMERICAN PEOPLE will know that Senator Obama ran a very respectful campaign, and that is what matters at the end of the day. The country need someone that will bring us together and unitie not divide us. I am really shocked to see all of the bad racist remarks made on these blogs. Thanks to your campaign brilliant ideas to inflict race and fear. It is really sad to see how much hate is in America, the land that I love.
