Clinton: I feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign

Clinton campaigned in Indiana Tuesday.
Clinton campaigned in Indiana Tuesday.

BROWNSBURG, Indiana (CNN) - As Hillary Clinton and John McCain’s separate proposals for a summertime elimination of the gas tax continue to be a focus for all three candidates, Clinton said Thursday insisted her plan isn’t a cure-all, but a temporary break for those feeling the pinch of high gas prices.

“Invariably someone will say something along the lines of, "Well, you know, we shouldn’t be doing these short-term fixes, we shouldn’t try to relieve people’s pain at the pump. We should only have long-term plans.’” Clinton told a small gathering outside Indianapolis. “We need both! It is not either/or.”

“Sen. Obama says we shouldn’t do it and it’s a gimmick, and Sen. McCain says we should do it but we shouldn’t pay for it.” She added. “I sometimes feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign. You know, not too much, not too little. Just right.”

“This isn't a real solution. This is a gimmick,” Obama countered. “This is what Washington does whenever there's a big problem. They pretend that they're solving it to try to get though political season but they don't really solve it.

Meanwhile, Clinton strategist Geoff Garin said their polling has shown "working people appreciate the fact that Senator Clinton understands the incredible economic strain they are facing."

30$ probably won't buy enough gas to get across our republican maintained bridges before they collapse. word out of D.C. is this will be over next week, the supers are going to pile on, for Barack, after tuesday. Because goldilocks has decided to stir up the white blue collar group enough that they would rather vote their hatred and not their pocket books.

Isn't that the story about the girl who broke into the home of some bears and lied about Bosnia and then stole their porridge? Yeah, that's right! So she finally admits it, huh. Go figure!

Hillary, you can count on me to give you a nice soft place to land. The rest of the naysayers can go lie on a bed of nails.

CNN moderators, you could do a little better job of screening out the hate messages and insults aimed at our next president. It's getting very old reading some of this petty junk.

Wow. She is constantly comparing herself to things. She is like Rocky, she is like the Cinderella team in the NCAA tourney, she is like Goldilocks, wouldn't it be great to know who Hillary is and not who she thinks she is like? I agree Pinnochio is a much more fitting discription.

Yes! Just the right amount of "gimmick" and "not coming up with your own idea"! You are just like goldilocks!
And let's not forget resourceful! Using Mccain's "solution" on this issue is brilliant! If you win the nomination, it's going to be really tough choice between you and Mccain... you guys are so similar! You could be siblings!

Hillary Clinton is a Goldilocks Story.
Once upon a time there were three Politocal porige McCain is too hot for war and way too far to the right. Obama is too unknown, not experienced enough and too far to the left.
And Hillary, well she is just Right.
Hillary is in the middle of McCain and Obama.
She Not too much to the far right, She not too much to the far left . Hillary is not too soft and she’s not too hard, she’s not a rookie and she’s not too old. She Not too hot , and she’s not too cold!
Hillary is just right to be President
And we will all live happily ever after.

You know what happened to Goldilocks when the three Bears discovered that she had invaded their privacy and took their food, don't you. I love it when Hillary sticks to comedy and fiction. I think she's found her calling in life.
As for the next President, he showed good judgment in opposing the war in Iraq and the squandering of trillions of dollars and over 4,050 American lives, rather than focusing on Al Queda in Afghanistan, medicare, pharmacare and American Infrastructure (especially bridges). He talks the truth re NAFTA – which has been mutually beneficial for Canada and the US, but needs refinement re Mexico, with it's lesser labour and environmental standards. Obama – continue to keep your eye on the ball!

Now we know why Hillary never read the intelligence reports before voting to authorize the war in Iraq: she was too busy reading fairy tales.

Hillary Rodham Clinton admended her disclosure reports over the weekend to account for $5 million she loaned her presidential campaign in January. Though it was widely known the New York senator used the funds to help rally support for her White House bid during the early primaries, an accounting oversight left the information missing from reports filed at the Federal Election Commission.

The new disclosure brings her total debt to $15.3 million through March, compared to $662,784 for her Democratic opponent Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. While both have debt, they both also have a considerable amount of cash on hand, Obama with $51 million to Clinton's nearly $32 million.

HMMMM, is this the way she is going to run the country.
