From

JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana (CNN) – After several days of back and forth between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over whether a summer-long elimination of the gas tax would help or hurt, Clinton took a hard line, asking her colleagues in Congress to take sides.

“I believe it would be important to get every member of Congress on record,” Clinton told supporters at a rally in southern Indiana. “Do they stand with the hard-pressed Americans who are trying to pay their gas bills at the gas station or do they once again stand with the oil companies?

“I want to know where people stand and I want them to tell us, are they with us or against us when it comes to taking on the oil companies?” she added.

The “with us or against us” line wasn’t the only George W. Bush reference Thursday evening. Telling a story about Republicans crossing party lines and whispering their support to her, Clinton said, “It’s kind of like a little bit of a confessional when somebody comes and says, ‘You know I voted for George Bush, and I’m really sorry.’”

Obama used to tell a similar story that drew laughs about people whispering to him that they’re Republicans but are in his camp. Also whispering, he would respond, “Thank you, but why are we whispering?”

Commending Clinton in Jeffersonville for her ability to reach across the aisle to Republicans, renowned environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. introduced Clinton who holds what used to be his father’s New York seat in the Senate.

“This is a leader who is going to be one of the most extraordinary presidents in our history,” Kennedy told the crowd after mentioning that this election has split his politically famous family.

“You may know that there’s some members of my family who’ve decided to do the wrong thing and support Barack Obama,” said Kennedy. “Our family is divided, and our party is divided and the reason we’re divided is because we have two extraordinary candidates both running for president both who will make unbelievable presidents.”

WHAT ABOUT PETER PAUL VS THE CLINTONS AND NOW THEIR PASTOR WILLIAM PROCANICK.

WHAT SAY YOU-ALL ABOUT THIS? ARE U GOING 2 HOUND THE CLINTONS ABOUT THIS LIKE YOU'VE HOUNDED SENATOR OBAMA?

WHAT ABOUT WATERGATE, TRAVELGATE, BOSNIA, MONICA, THE CLINTON LIBRARY AND THE CORRUPT CONTRIBUTIONS THEY'VE RECEIVED?

Shame on you Robert Kennedy Jr. How can you support someone who is dividing this country by race to win–undoing the work of your father and uncle? To be different? Shame on you. No more of my African American money will go to the NRDC.

TO ALL THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS:
Since the media is refusing to reveal/report the Paul vs Clinton fraud case in court right now, we need to create our own movement and flood every blog on CNN and every blogging website on the World Wide Web with information from the case regardless of what the topic is. For those that don't know - Google Paul vs Clinton and hold on to your shirt with what you read!!
For those of you who think this case has been thrown out or is irrelevant:

"In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25, 2008 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!." (paulvclinton.com)

Here is the kicker - the judge is a Bill Clinton appointee!

OBAMANACS UNITE!!! LET'S DO THIS!!

That is one of the most sensible things regarding this race I've heard in a long time.

More political posturing. Who is she now, Ghandi? She thinks the people in Congress, who actually LISTEN to the experts, would go along with her farce so she can gain more blind favor from the electorate?

This, combined with the revelation that Blumenthal, her senior advisor, had been feeding information from the right wing of all people, helps me to change my mind. I was going to vote for her if Obama lost the nomination, but I just can't. I just can't.

MCD   May 1st, 2008 9:22 pm ET

BGIV in NC   May 1st, 2008 9:23 pm ET

Yeah - lets push through some meaningless legislation and crow about what a good deed she did for the American people. A gas tax holiday is like putting a band aid on an open artery. Helps for a second, then you realize you needed a real fix, not a cover up.

Against you, and everything you stand for.

Gas tax holiday aside, her plan and McCain's plan for Gas relief is majorly flawed. Her plan will have us all paying more at the pump in no less than three months.

This campaign has morphed from the most exciting campaign in recent memory to the most frustrating. There are a couple of things wrong with this situation. First off, Clinton is oversimplifying the gas price situation. According to her comments here, her thinking must be, "Gas prices are high, that hurts the American people, and the only way to fix it is to lower prices right now." It is easy to think that, but as Sen. Obama has tried to explain, some situations need a longer-term solution, one that won't necessarily be popular now but will ultimately make for a better situation for the country. It's these kinds of statements we need from a leader, where the President is willing to take political risks for the benefit of the nation. Second, the line about Republicans crossing party lines is clearly ripping off Obama. That's probably one of the most well-known lines of his stump speech, and Clinton is blatantly lifting it from his speech.

I am incredibly frustrated by this campaign. We're watching one of the most exciting candidates in the past 40 years, Barack Obama, in a time when it is apparently not okay to be excited about politics.

tigerakabj   May 1st, 2008 9:29 pm ET

She's reaching across the aisle alright. For another straw, or better yet, another nail to put in her coffin. So she says, "you're either with us or against us." She is sounding like Bush everyday. At least Bush waited until he was president to say these things.

This woman is scary.

For Clinton supporters, I urge you to turn your attention to Los Angeles for the Peter Paul v. Clinton case going on right now. Her, Bill, and Rendell failed to show up on April 25, which is a contempt-of-court problem. And that doesn't even begin to tip the iceberg. Hillary won't even be able to get a word in if she is the nominee when the neocons through this at her. This case is the biggest U.S. election fraud in U.S. history. You better believe the super D's know this.

grant   May 1st, 2008 9:31 pm ET

"Your either with us or against us"? Isn't that the tact that helped Bush achieve so many bipartisan solutions? If the superdelegates were wondering who was most constructive within the party, there is no longer any doubt. this is so over….

Jane, NC   May 1st, 2008 9:31 pm ET

Sen. Clinton's proposal to give Americans a temporary break from the federal gas tax is a good idea, as is her proposal for paying for it with a tax on oil company profits. She, of course, proposes long-term sollutions as well, such as promoting alternative energy. Meanwhile, Sen. Obama prefers to sit idly by do nothing, referring to her solution as identical to McCain's and as "pandering." Sen. McCain's proposal for temporary relief differs from Sen. Clinton's in that he suggests no means of paying for it. (Not to mention the fact that he smiles condescendingly as he asks, "Why not give 'em a chance to eat a good meal out with their kids, take a little vacation."

sacto joe   May 1st, 2008 9:32 pm ET

Clinton is pandering to the public. The truth is, there are no simple answers to this problem. 18 cents on the gallon (the total fed tax) is peanuts!

I'm tired of watching people drive Hummers at 70 mph!

We need a national gas card that prices gas on the basis of your income and rations it on the basis of your need!

A vote for Hillary is a vote for division!

Come on, get real. Just because people don't agree with your stupid tax plan doesn't mean people are "against hard working Americans." What a ridiculous statement.

People are against your tax plan because it doesn't make any economic sense!

Rich   May 1st, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Guess the story that most of the superdel's in congress aren't going her way is true. Otherwise why would she go after them like that.

I guess it only shows that she leads by being a bully, no wonder she thinks republicans like her so much. She fits in with them perfectly. Guess it is her old upbringing as a Republican coming back to her.

Jack in ND   May 1st, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Congress…give her your answer to her stupid proposal, superdelegate style!

Shaz   May 1st, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Wow, she has gone to a new low - using W's "you're with us or against us" crap. If that isn't divisive, I don't know what is. She's such a pandering hypocrite. She will never get my vote.

RP   May 1st, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Hillary is completely losing it. Does she not understand that the primaries are over and the only option for her is to get the superdelegates to override the pledged delegate count? Grandstanding and posturing to members of Congress is hurting her chances with superdelegates. This is political suicide over an issue that she should just let go, since neither the experts nor the people think this gas tax holiday is a smart idea (Bloomberg calls it the dumbest thing he's heard in a long time).

DAN   May 1st, 2008 9:34 pm ET

With all the profits the oil companies are making I think Hillary's right. It took 100 years to get to 25 dollars a barrel and it took 2 terms under Bush to go up to 120 dollars a barrel, they've made plenty and to think that they receive subsidies is mind bogling. Let them pay a tax on their humongus profits and lower the price of gas at the pump.

FK Hitlery   May 1st, 2008 9:34 pm ET

It's amazing when you read the comments on some of these articles. Some Americans are really stupid. Yes, I said it. Some Americans are really stupid.

Read some of the stupid remarks from people in the previous article. Obama is reading the Top 10 List on Letterman. LETTERMAN - it's suppose to be funny and people are taking his top ten reading as indication of his presidency.

Americans, wake up. IT'S A JOKE.

Not only that - Americans need to wake up that Hillary Clinton is the single most dangerous person in modern political history. She will destroy this country, she has no regard for the Constitution and if she had it her way, the US would be a total and complete social democracy.

American need to learn about the history of their country. That's a tall order, most don't remember 9/11.

No offense but even a 5 year old will cross aisle after what has happen in the last 7+ years. All I wanna say if Hillary wants to call out Congress, then she should also show up for the ceremony because quite frankly, she also has been around. So, to say that your either against us or with us is really a question of proportions and variables. No offense but if we have to blame Congress, then is also fair to blame Hillary and Senator McCain…….all I'm saying is if they made the right decisions, then they shouldn't worry about the past because everyone knows that in order to make an ending, you also need a beginning……I mean, that's how life is, right? She voted for the war just like Bush wanted, and agreed with Bush on everything. She has poor judgement. I am a republican but i will be voting President Obama in November, we need a president that will tell the American people the truth. Hillary & McCain are just playing political games with this gas tax holiday. Everyone knows this, and this is not to help the people get over by the Summer, it's to help them win the election. Only Obama had the courage to tell the truth to the AMerican people, which is why i have switched parties, and will be voting for him in November. Let's see,
First Robert Kennedy JR (hanging on papa's coat tails) says
"You may know that there’s some members of my family who’ve decided to do the wrong thing and support Barack Obama"

then he explains why the party is divided by saying it is
"because we have two extraordinary candidates both running for president both who will make unbelievable presidents"

If there are, in your small divided mind, 2 extraordinary candidates who would BOTH make unbelievable presidents, then why are those in your familiy that are supporting Barack doing the wrong thing?

Apparently, kid, you are divided in your own mind and don't know what to say. Too bad papa's smarts didn't fall to you!

SNP   May 1st, 2008 9:52 pm ET

Eliminating a gas tax will wont hurt the oil companies profits one bit, it's a tax, money that goes to the government not the oil companies. By supporting this, people are actually taking on contributing to the already crumbling infrastructure.

You cant have unending tax cuts, and then complain about lack of government services, bad roads, no health care, etc etc

T. Churchill, Indiana   May 1st, 2008 9:53 pm ET

. . . Bill Clinton was impeached by the house of representatives as a sitting President. There should be a rule that bans impeached Presidents or their immediate family members from ever occupying the White House again.

S   May 1st, 2008 9:53 pm ET

I don't understand. Kennedy says "…we have two extraordinary candidates both running for president both who will make unbelievable presidents.” Then why does he say "some members of my family [have] decided to do the wrong thing and support Barack Obama."

Anon, you are right., I don't know how Clintons' scandals are not public. Suppose we all make mistakes, who else will make the white House a polygamist place? Does Bill C remember that the world disrespected US because of his love to that third wife? How can we give them the presidency. Unless Hillary promises us to divorce him. In that case, I will vote for her

Alan in Fla., don't count my vote   May 1st, 2008 9:55 pm ET

the reason you don't hear about Paul v Clinton is because it is irrelevant, doesn't matter, no one cares. Peter Paul should have known if you run with dogs you get fleas.

Dayahka   May 1st, 2008 9:55 pm ET

The suspension of the gas tax idea is a stupid one; and it would do absolutely no good. This is just a continuation of the consistently bad ideas that Clinton seems to advance, one a day. A bad campaign, a bunch of bad ideas, bad all around, why is she still around? Like the Democratic Ralph Nader or Norman Thomas.

Hillary Clinton, you are a messenger from hell !!!! You have no respect for life. Hillary, Israel does not need you to "OBLITERATE" Iran in its behalf. Do you know the meaning of the word "OBLITERATE"? It is to erase a nation without a trace. You can not be my president. I will pray and plead before God to prevent you from winning…and let the same word "OBLITERATE" judge you for you have no mercy for the life of little children. You are among those like Bush, McCain who are destroying the reputation of America around the world. I am not an African American and I am not a supporter of Barack Obama. Yes, it is because of people like Hillary that America is now curse. Our dollar is lower than the Canadian dollar and she is everywhere collecting votes by giving false promises to voters. I predict that you will not return back to the white house because God in heaven will prevent.

“Do they stand with the hard-pressed Americans who are trying to pay their gas bills at the gas station or do they once again stand with the oil companies?" Christ, how did we ever sink so low? Is America really this stupid? I can't believe our national discourse has sunk this low.

I, too, would like to know why the media refuse to touch this. The GOP must be salivating at the prospect of impeaching another Clinton!

David   May 1st, 2008 9:57 pm ET

It's interesting to hear Robert F. Kennedy Jr. say he believes both Obama and Clinton would make "unbelievable presidents."

Meanwhile, the candidate whom he supports and her campaign team are doing all they can to discredit Obama and jeopardize his chances in November. I'm really ashamed of the choices she and her team have made throughout the campaign.

If this is an example of her leadership and her ability to bridge gaps and differences, then I'm not so sure "unbelievable" is the adjective I'd choose to describe her potential. She has proven, though her tactics, to be more divisive than anything else.

By the way, didn't Hillary already have her shot at fixing healthcare? I believe her antagonistic style at that time doomed the effort. Sorry, but I don't see Hillary as "unbelievable"… not one bit.

why does Hillary Clinton get by with this!!!??? Paul v Clinton. I am so sick of Clinton's getting by with their DISHONESTY, LIES, CORRUPTNESS, & it goes Unnoticed & unmentioned by the press. The way they go after Obama on Rev Wright & EVERYTHING, EVERY WORD just hoping & praying for him to make a mistake or even just use some defferent phraseology he has to explain over & over again & again, while this (Paul v Clinton) goes virtually unmentioned. Makes you wonder what exactly is going on in our country. I wish someone in the press would have to cover this & make it known public.

Cathy   May 1st, 2008 10:01 pm ET

you obama supporters are idiots.

former democrat   May 1st, 2008 10:01 pm ET

I think that someone needs to address the idiocy of many of the Clinton supportors on some of the other stories who say that they can't support Obama because he can't win in November, so then turn around and say that is why they are going to vote for McCain. The complete lack of logic seems achingly similar to Hillary Clinton's lack of logic that puts her ahead in the pop vote and explains how she came up with this ridiculous pandering to the people gas tax suspension plan. The unfortunate thing is that her supports are also strangers to logic and common sense, if they really go along with this, if not. I'd like to know where their prejudice really comes from.

Tom   May 1st, 2008 10:01 pm ET

This is why:
The coverage of this whole election by all media has been a total disgrace to this country. We should all stop at look at this. Let’s help the media analyze how to bring someone down, then after they try to set the record straight, let’s analyze how he did not do enough. Most of you don't know that large corporations own the media yes the ones that are shipping jobs overseas, and yes the ones that Clinton and McCain has ties with even deeper than Obama could ever have with his pastor . Just watch after every Rev Wright loop what you watch you get a Drug commercial. The person that does not owe them anything is Obama. So they are paying for this kind of news coverage. Reallyy take a look at this because it is as plain as day. Because now you’re talking money, do you think for one minute the corporations as well as our government which is a branch of corporate American (since they no longer work for us), wants somebody to change anything in Washington. What makes you think that the talking points don't come to these media talking heads on a little sheet of paper from guess who. Wake up people your barking up the wrong tree. Most of you should know this by now. I bet most off you don't even know what the issues facing this country are anymore. You’re too tied up in the media spin. And to prove my point when was the last time you listen to Sean Hannity or watch Fox news, they do not discuss real issues CNN is a little better but the are really close to becoming a second FOX network . Why, to keep you from knowing what is really happing so you vote on an emotion rather than what is good for this country. Let me put another way. Over the last thirty years what good really has come out of Washington for the average worker, NAFTA, Bankruptcy, Energy Policy, healthcare, deficit, you would have to dig really deep to find something. Point being, all those media types and analyst up there peddling their books and offering clear debate on issues rarely talk about what this country needs. Where did most of them come from you guessed it Washington. The mother of the corporate world.

phillykat   May 1st, 2008 10:02 pm ET

Several experts have already weighed in on this issue and agree with Barack in that it's a quick fix and amounts to pandering. That's why she has so many folks defecting from her to the Obama camp. There are times when even some 'players' tire of the games. We need real change.

More pandering by someone who is addicted to power and wants back into the White House in the worst way. A sound-bite, talk-radio nonsolution that sounds reasonable on the surface but falls flat on its face when examined.

You want to save money on gas, and send less money to, for example, the home of most of the 9/11 hijackers (Saudi Arabia)? Drive slower. Set your cruise control at 60. You'll still get there.

People are starting to see who Obama really is…and they don't like the opportunistic person he is.

Even his pastor/friend/mentor knows that he is lying.

Obama, needed a church and a power base to do his job in Chicago…he got his power in Chicago, but now he doesn't need his spiritual guide…he has political advisors.

Just like he threw his grandmother under the bus calling her a racist (she's just white…they are bred that way) and now he is disavowing 'those statements'
Which ones?

Political expediency. You portrayed yourself as a new brand of politician…but you aren't. The only thing that you were was 'new' not bluestate/redstate and all that jazz, but, in reality, you are dark blue state. Solid politician, chicago-style, with all of the Rezko Wright Kenya bias and corruption.

Without the 'fresh face' you are just a politician, and as a politician, you are the most liberal senator in DC, you have no experience and your wife hates America.

next…why Obama needs to drop out so that Hillary can heal the DNC…

Julie   May 1st, 2008 10:09 pm ET

Major LA newspaper headline, Obama involved with money laundering? Obamas camp has hired lawyers for lawsuit involving drugs and sex in Sinclair scandal. Rezko trial may be only the tip of the iceberg re; unlawful corrupt chicago politicians, the list keeps growing.

Sen. Clinton, we're all looking forward to getting rid of George Bush. We're not really interested in putting a Bush wannabe back in the WH. Nancy Pelosi made it very clear today, they are AGAINST!

Sen Clinton has turned into a renegade, she is now calling out her own party, this is not going to sit well….She knows that winning is near impossible. The DNC is going to put an end to this in a hurry, it is pure scorched earth now for the Clintons..This is pandering at a level we have not seen..the policy makes no sense, just a gimmick everybody knows that, the gas tax goes directly to infrastructure, there is no savings, steal from Peter to pay Paul, and we all know that you have to pay a fine when you steal from Peter, higher taxes! Now she is the Anti establishment candidate? PPPPPPlease

Better than that we need to make it known that Clinton is not vetted and we are tired of holding our words! What about the volunteer in her campaign that was stolen from by the campaign??? They charged her credit card over the maximum allowed for a donor to give!

We raised over $20,000 in less than 24 hours to support the Super Delegate who got flack from siding with Obama, just think what all of us can do if the nomination is stolen. United we are a force. We are black, white, brown and yellow. We are young, old and middle-aged. We are woman and men who are supporting the candidate who is changing how we feel and showing us hope is not lost if we work together!

Super Delegates must act now. Hillary's destructive vindetta against Obama and the party must end. Obama has done more for the party with this campaign than anyone in history. Will you, SD, just toss out all the new members who are giving so generously to the campaign? Will you just cast aside the people who have recognized this could be our time to change the pitiful state the US is in? Would you cast aside the black voters who have stood beside you through the years?

Do the math and tell me who the majority want.

The Clintons can't be trusted. Hillary is dishonest. What a disaster for our country if Obama doesn't win the Democratic nomination. I believe the Clintons will pull every trick in the book to get the nomination. If so, we will definitely have another 4 years of the Bush Administration. The Republicans definitely want her as their opponent because they know she cannot beat John McCain, who I think is dumber than Bush if that's possible.

Fran Martin   May 1st, 2008 10:13 pm ET

Clinton's glittery, fraudulent populist proposal will will explode in her face. Removing the tax will only open the way for the oil companies to raise the price of gas. Presumably, she intends to restore the tax after the summer, but with big oil roll back its increase? They are already behind this proposal, and laughing all the way to the bank. It is Clinton who favors oil company profit above true relief for cash strapped Americans.

Mike J   May 1st, 2008 10:13 pm ET

Everyone with any degree of economic sense is saying that this is a bad idea but she's still peddling it just to get votes, it's just sad.

No she's doing all this grandstanding, you're either with us or against or she'll obliterate Iran, she's just getting desperate.

Cody S. - Montgomery, AL   May 1st, 2008 10:13 pm ET

How would opposing a suspension of the gas tax be "standing with big oil"?

If anything it will drive demand and put even more money in the pockets of these corporations. Suspending the gas tax will do jack squat to help average Americans.

Hillary Clinton is preying on those too ignorant to know the basics of economics by fooling them into thinking they will be saving big bucks.

Why not tell people to carpool, use public transportation, or just take a walk? Those are real long-term solutions: reduction in demand.

CLINTON'S Pastor is convicted of child Molestation. So, if Obama bears
the guilt for his pastor's comment; then Hillary has to be equally
tainted by this man's crimes.

Obama needs no judgement. The media has tried judgement all the way! Time has come when they cannot handle it any more. The Obama supps. think they can handle by uniting and doing it! the posibility is zero, zilch Nada.Even when the Rev. comes back to salvage him from the pain of defeat, and the anger of being ignored.Obama is done and finito. No nomination and consequently no White House.Welcome back to the Old Washington,a den of old politics. He is young and will never use the same rhetorics again campaigning for a VP,at age 61!!!

Who is exactly the "us" she is referring to? Most of "us" couldn't loan ourselves $5 million. Besides she has been in the
Senate for 7 years and please someone explain what she has done for "us". Maybe the "us" is Hillary and Bill because there is no "me" in "us". She has done nothing for "me" so I am sure she hasn't done much for "us".

Roc   May 1st, 2008 10:18 pm ET

I would like to hear more about "REAL" issues like Paul vs Clinton. There is a possibility that if elected President soon after President H.R.Clinton will also be on trial! THIS IS NEWS THE PEOPLE NEED/WANT TO HEAR!!!!!!!!

Favoritism for Clinton   May 1st, 2008 10:18 pm ET

If you are for Obama, post this everywhere you can:

Why hasn't Hillary been vetted by the media during THIS campaign?

It isn't like she is squeaky clean.

richard   May 1st, 2008 10:18 pm ET

I feel like im living in a third world country and a dictator is lying to the people and his state run television is covering for him. Hmm sounds like the MSM and Obama. Bow down peasant the ruler has arrived. One thing after another is ignored and the far left of the Democratic party launches a positive spin on it and tells people its ok everyone is ok with Wright, Resko, Alice Palmer Auchi, Ayers,Nation of Islam, Faraquan, etc. etc. I hope his internet police dont read this or I will probably be wisked away. Vote smart people. You are being manipulated.

60 million tax payer dollars was used to investigate the Clintons with only a family matter being found. I know if 60 million was spent investigating my family plenty of personal stuff would pop up. Most of the stuff that is said about the Clintons is made up. Go to snopes and look it up. What is most funny is the right wing made this stuff up and now they have an inexperienced Obama who may be the Democratic nominee and they know that all of this fabrication on the Clintons is coming back to bite them.

Ed   May 1st, 2008 10:18 pm ET

She just needs to admit she's really Republican… She could actually get the nomination that way.

Sean   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

She'd better be careful of what she asks for. When you start forcing people to make decisions, they don't always lean your way.

Will   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Your either "with us or against us."
Yea she is not divisive at all…

Linda, Boston   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Where have I heard that ultimatum before? Oh yeah, that's right - she is sounding more and more like Bush every day.

Nancy   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Its a shocker that Mrs. Clinton perceives Americans as so naive. The gas tax per gallon, if suspended for her "holiday" can be recovered by the oil companies in a week, based on the rapid growth increases in the price of fuel at the pump over the last year. And when that comes, and that tax holiday is done, we will be back paying big time at the pump, AND see our Highway Trust Fund go bankrupt-at a time when highway construction jobs could provide a fair paying alternative for folks needing a job. Google "Highway Trust Fund" and look at some of the stats on how the Trust Fund has gone during this administration, and Mrs. Clinton will stick the nail in that coffin, so she can build a few poll points…….Obama is right-and clearly has the brains, the demeanor, and the ability to see logic-and he respects Americans enough to dangle "carrots" in exchange for votes….

Rickey   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Who does Bill Clinton think he is? He is no longer the President! Enough with the labels; conservative, liberal, moderate, democrat, and republican or whatever dude! You either like something or you don't. You either advocate something or you don't. You either like someone or you don't. Enough with the Jedi Mind Tricks! Just vote!!!

Truth to Power   May 1st, 2008 10:19 pm ET

PAUL VS. CLINTON…GOOGLE IT AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELVES

WHY ISN'T THE MEDIA ALL OVER THIS?????????

norm   May 1st, 2008 10:20 pm ET

darnell   May 1st, 2008 10:20 pm ET

southerndem   May 1st, 2008 10:20 pm ET

LOL Hillary, isn't that exactly what Bush said to the world about our "war on terror"? My you really want to be a Republican in the worst way don't you? You have officially jumped the shark.

Gabriel   May 1st, 2008 10:20 pm ET

GO CNN FOR FAIRNESS (NOT)

Lets see if you post this

You will post blatant attacks( like the above) and innuendo about clinton but will not post even the most mild comments that are critical of your PRO OBAMA COVERAGE!!

Sad and you should all be ashamed

Katherine Sullivan   May 1st, 2008 10:20 pm ET

How can anyone support a man who supposedly spent twenty years attending a church whose pastor spewed radical rants every Sunday and not realized until this week that he is offensive and anti-American? How can anyone support a man who on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania was asked what he thought about President Carter meeting with Hamas and instead of answering replied, “Can’t I just eat my waffle?” No. No you can’t just eat your waffle. You want to be the President of the United States. A waffle shouldn’t keep you from stating your opinion. Are you that ill-prepared that you are thrown by a breakfast dish? I can’t support a man who remains clueless for twenty years and can’t answer simple questions do to waffles.

Brett   May 1st, 2008 10:21 pm ET

Haha. This is really good for "the politics of hope", guys. Talk about hypocrisy. Let's keep talking about Reverend Wright!

Brian   May 1st, 2008 10:21 pm ET

Three arduous months later and she's finally succeeded in doing the only thing she was capable of doing after Super Tuesday… turning this primary race into a quagmire, effectively grinding the Democratic party's momentum to a halt. She should be ashamed of herself.

Hillary Clinton is a pathetic loser.

Jake S.   May 1st, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Wait, by choosing to help the government dig itself out of this deficit that results in us borrowing money from China and then shipping it to Saudi Arabia, we want to use the tax to develop alternative fuels, but we're siding with Big Oil?

Faith - Mobile   May 1st, 2008 10:22 pm ET

ANON: Please contact me at barack2012@yahoo.com! Let's do this!

OBAMANATION…Let's get moving. Moveon.org isn't touching this either, which surprises me! We've gotta do it. How can I get a list of news stations in IN and NC. We've gotta flood EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE. Obvisously CNN, MSNBC, The AP, NY Times and The Wachington Post!

OBAMANATION…LET'S GET MOVING!!!!

Ito, Yokosuka Japan   May 1st, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Gee…she sounds like President Bush.

richard   May 1st, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Oh and the first post above has already been debunked. The guy has already been proven to be a liar. It is probably Paul who posted it. That is why the MSM is not reporting it. They would be no better than the National Enquirer if they did.

Jay   May 1st, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Hillary Clinton proves that she doesn't understand economics, and neither does McCain. If this "plan" was implemented, it wouldn't do anything to reduce our oil consumption over the next few years. The problem would still be there, disguised as something to benefit taxpayers. She is trying to sell this plan to take advantage of people who are hurting, while removing a critical source of money that actually keeps roads well-maintained and functioning. We deserve much better than candidates like Clinton or McCain who would run the country into the ground.

Mauri   May 1st, 2008 10:23 pm ET

Hillary Clinton's interview by Bill O'Reilly of Fox News was absolutely great. If the voters of this country lose this unique opportunity to elect her as president, then I shudder about what is going to happen to it and us. A group of citizens were asked ton
