(CNN) - New York Rep. Vito Fossella was arrested overnight for driving while intoxicated, the Washington Post first reported.
In a newly released statement, Fossella said he made an "error in judgment."
“As a parent, I know that taking even one drink of alcohol before getting behind the wheel of a car is wrong," Fossella said. "I apologize to my family and the constituents of the 13th Congressional District for embarrassing them, as well as myself.”
Fossella, a Republican, was stopped while driving in Alexandria, Virginia - a suburb of Washington, D.C.
The Post says court records show Fossella is scheduled to appear in Alexandria General District Court on May 12 for an advisement hearing.
Fosella has served in Congress since 1997.

I hate this! This guy may have ruined his career for something as stupid as this when I'm sure he knows better, but at the same time he is not above the law. I appreciate the fact that at least in New York they will arrest even those in office that are breaking the law, now in TN, it's the good ole boys system, EVERYBODY else gives an account for their actions except those in power and their families and friends.

A judge in Los Angeles yesterday allowed Hollywood mogul Peter F. Paul to begin taking sworn testimony in his $17 million fraud suit against former President Bill Clinton, but a technicality delayed establishment of a trial date.
California Superior Court Judge Aurelio N. Munoz ruled Paul's legal team can begin seeking depositions from a host of big names – including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton – that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.

As it was told on MSNBC, she set the conference up when she found out he was "in town." Nothing has been said since then. News only tells what they want you to hear.

TRUST me, I've mentioned the Paul v Clinton case every day since I first heard of it Sunday, & look how well the "media" is covering it! Clinton is STILL connected to that case, hence it's NAME, more so than Obama was tied to Rev. Wright's "sermons" &/or "movements"! I ALSO mention her ex-pastor, Rev. Wm. Procanick who was sentenced in Jan '08 for 3 years for "1st degree sexual abuse & endangering the welfare of a minor child", when he sexually abused a little 7 year old girl in March '07. Why has she not had to answer for THIS like Obama was FORCED to answer for Wright?

If one drink made him DUI, either he weighs 76 pounds, or he is lying and drank to excess.
