It's granny versus granny in this clip from American Morning.

(CNN) – Even though the high turnout among young voters may be getting a lot of attention this primary season, senior citizens also have strong feelings about the long, tight nomination race between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

In this clip from American Morning, watch Jean Weiss, an Obama supporter made famous by Obama’s offer to make her his No. 2 on the Democratic ticket, as she faces off against Clinton supporter Margaret O’Brien.

Educated?   May 2nd, 2008 3:30 pm ET

TD-Texas posted:

"Educated voters have just that an EDUCATION which means they have been exposed to other areas of life where they could use their open minds. The youth…well they see the writing on the wall for themselves…they don't have to listen to old folks and that old way of thinking. Obama 08 and 16″

Are the presidential terms of office now 8 year terms TD? Or do you want Obama for 4 years, then someone else, then Obama again? I don't understand your "education" TD. OR, did you mean Obama 08 THROUGH 16? Explain your Texas education (or wherever you went to school) way of thinking?! You are still allowed to have the same number of run-on sentences and grammatical errors so don’t feel pressured to post intelligently next time.

If the "educated" are trying to lead the country to vote for Obama, I think you might have the answer as to why his campaign is in trouble.

noemi in los angeles   May 2nd, 2008 3:28 pm ET

Arn't they cute? I can't see the video because I'm at work… but I had previously seen the video of grannies dancing and supporting their candidate. I am happy to see the elderly as well as the youth are involved in this election.. it is an election of everyone no matter the age, race, orientation, education, career or gender.

I personally can no longer support Hillary R. Clinton because she has disappointed me in every possible way. From her lying to her fear mongering tactics, I believe she is the one that is out of touch with the people. She changes everything she says in order to suit who ever she is speaking in front of, in order to get the vote. This only proves that she isn't who she presents herself to be, as she is willing to take on any role and misrepresent who she is and what she is about in order to appeal to anybody. I don't like this kind of politician. It's not so much that I disagree with her policies, as some are similiar to Obama's, but I do disagree with her character and the way she carries herself.

I was a previous Hillary supporter who packed up and joined the Obama train right before elections!

It's so sad to see half the people in our party not really get a real opinion of Hillary. They haven't stepped out of the box and seen her for who she is. I sugges you Hillary supporters research about her before declaring yourself a Hillary-Supporter. I was once like you, blindly supporting Hillary because she is a woman, because I grew up with Bill as President… because they are FAMILIAR to me.

Once I stopped and actually got to know Obama and what he is about, that's when I realized what a great leader we will be missing out on if we do not elect him as our President.

Some of the questions I wondered…

-What really happened in the Peter Paul vs. Clinton lawsuit??
-Why did Hillary REALLY forgive Bill and his many infidelities??
-Why did Bill give those Whitewater pardons?
-Why did Hillary flip-flop her support for NAFTA?
-Why did Hillary flip-flop her support for the war????
-Why are many Clinton appointed politicians now supporting Obama despite knowing the Clintons SO well??
-Why does Hillary lie about nearly everything??
-Why doesn't Hillary care about the Democratic party??
-Why did Hillary say "Screw 'em, they have done nothing for you Bill"??
-Is it a Clinton trend to lie?? (Lewinsky, Bosnia, Penn)

I have always been a Democrat and have voted for every Dem nominee ever since I was allowed to vote.

However, I will not stay a Democrat, should Obama not be our party's nominee. I will switch over the Liberitarian Party and vote for Mike Gravel. This is not foolish, as I do not like either McCain or Clinton alike. I would rather vote for the candidate who was my second choice as the Democratic nominee (Mike Gravel) before he dropped out of the race and ran with the Liberitarian Party.

Obama is the leader America has been waiting for.

Please google: Hillary Clinton the Movie and Peter Paul vs. Clinton

Obama 08
If not Obama, Mike Gravel 08.

Thanks.

most of young people just hearing something about past and clintons' presidency, they just looked at at flaws which narrated by Obama, They were kids those days and have no idea about NAFTA, Bosnia and who ended the war in Bosnia and other issues. If Obama says I never heared my pastor swear America, and other day says no I heard, but i wasn't agree with that, is not lie!! but whatever happened in the past is Clintons' fault and they are liar. some people stunned by Obama but I don't get why!!

Oregon calling -   May 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

When we think of the candidates for the Democratic Party, I found it a little amusing and disturbing at where some have positioned their Lane County headquarters. Here is how our local free weekly paper, Eugene Weekly, described their locations.
“It's not just candidates coming through town for a quick speech anymore; the presidential campaigns have come to Eugene and they're setting up shop. Just across from Kinko's on Willamette lies Barack Obama's new headquarters. And Springfield is the home for Hillary Clinton's newly opened local campaign office for Lane County, located across the street from Club 1444 (a "gentlemen's club"), a 60-day loan shop and a panaderia on Main Street.
I hope that it will get some to pause and to think of the two of these candidates on the more obscure issues. For myself I ask, “Why would a women that is running to be the 1st “women” POTUS have her county headquarters in such a location? Living in this area I know of much more suitable locations that would not stare at the belittling of women by being next to a strip club.”
I am a 40ish mixed ethnical background, blonde hair blue eyes woman, guess who has my vote! I might add that I am under the poverty level as I have had to get an education after being downsized 4 times in the last 13 years. 1st one in my family to get a higher education and we go back several generations on this soil. Obama 08

Scott ATL   May 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

Senator Clinton sure did spend a lot of time with this so called "multiple felon-nut-job" And it's all on video too. Dang, for almost 20 years. Not only is she just "around" him, but she is breaking the law with him…hmmmmmmmm

You would think that woul make a difference, but you Clinton supporters just want to overlook the obvious and focus on discrediting him, all the while not realizing that if he's all that you say he is, why did your candidate have so much use for him?

carrie   May 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

can anyone tell me why the clinton supoprters are so foolish?
1.they make up the most ridiculous stories
2.they always hide their identities
3.they think we need their misreable votes to win
4.they are so uneducated
5.they are so vicious and agressive
6.they are delusional
7.they use the most derod=gatory words
8.who on earth is "SUSAN M.O.
9.why are they hopeless?
we need change and thats why we vote for barrack obama
change we believe in
YES WE CAN.

GO HILLARY!!!

TD-Texas   May 2nd, 2008 1:34 pm ET

There is a reason uneducated whites and seniors vote for Hillary…they are still locked into that OLD way of thinking…you know that way where they hang african-americans and thought them inferior.

Educated voters have just that an EDUCATION which means they have been exposed to other areas of life where they could use their open minds. The youth…well they see the writing on the wall for themselves…they don't have to listen to old folks and that old way of thinking.

Obama 08 and 16

Karin   May 2nd, 2008 1:28 pm ET

To Sharon

The Paul vs Clintions has to have some truth to it for it to be in the County Superior court and for it to still be going on after 2004…..Once agian wake you this 2008 four years later just like her vote for the war 5 years later….I know I dont what to be saying to myself 8 years later with her in the white house Dam another 8 years of Bush again if that was the case I should have voted for McCain…….LOL……trust me if Hillary is the runner for the Dem ……..I WILL BE VOTING FOR MCCAIN AND I'M A BLACK AMERICAN FEMALE……….

jimmy vekmen   May 2nd, 2008 1:19 pm ET

WHY DO SOME OF THIS UNINFORMED PEOPLE MAKE SO MUCH RIDICULOUS COMMENTS WITHOUT A SINGLE BRAIN CELL IN THEIR HEADS FUNCTIONING WITH REASON.
WE HAVE A JUDICIAL SYSTEM , WITH OUR PEERS SERVING AS JURORS, APPEALS COURT JUDGES AND FINALLY THE SUPREME
COURT. AND YES, Y'ALL , , WE HAVE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.
YOU SMART ALECS LET OUR COURTS DECIDE AND KEEP YOUR LITTLE BRAINS OUT OF IT. TALK ALL YOU WANT FOR OR AGAINST THE CANDIDATES, LEAVE LITIGATION AND COURT CASES ALONE UNTIL RESOLVED BY THE COURTS..

Frank, San Diego   May 2nd, 2008 1:18 pm ET

I wish that CNN would stop aiding and abetting the right-wingers who are pushing the "Peter Paul" story.

This a multiple felon who has sued virtually everyone with whom he ever came into contact.

Senator Clinton has been dismissed from the case for lack of any evidence and most of the complaints against President Clinton have also been dismissed.

This is a nuisance law suit that is going nowhere and means nothing. Anyone who claims otherwise is just a liar.

MD   May 2nd, 2008 1:17 pm ET

No matter how bad Obama may turn out to be, he can NEVER be a bad and as corrupt as the Clintons.

Q: Why is Bill Clinton avoiding the media?

A: He has no answer for the preferrential treatment he got from a judge, one of crony appointees, in the law suit filed against him in CA.

Q: Why isn't the media jumping on the law suit in CA against Bill?

A: The media loves the close race. CNN's "best political team on TV" is busy spewing garbage by the hour, talking about nothing, but keeping the ratings up.

Q: Why is CNN suddenly so pro-Hillary?

A: The longer this mess goes on, the more advertising slots CNN can sell at premium prices.

Mike   May 2nd, 2008 1:17 pm ET

So if Wright thinks Obama has sold him out for political gains and Wright's successor Rev. Otis equates Wright with Jesus in the crucifixion than that must mean that Obama is Judas Iscariot.

MB   May 2nd, 2008 1:02 pm ET

It was funny-that Hillary supporter could not even mention Obama by name. It sounded like she feels Bill and Hillary are entitled to the house. I am glad they did not ask her too many questions. I am sure she would have ended up saying Obama is black and does not deserve to be in the WH.

Observer   May 2nd, 2008 12:59 pm ET

The Hillary Granny could not talk policy….she just thinks the Clintons make a cute couple. How sad.

Guess who made a speech in Pa the next day saying 'The president gives the order and the generals follow' Hillarious Rotten Clinton! She Zerox his response 100%

Sen. Obama will be President!

I AM A MIDDLE AGE ANERICAN AND I AM VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON. I WATCHED A FOCUS GROUP OF AMERICAN VOTERS
DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS, INDEPENDENTS , 30 OF THEM CHOSEN AT RANDOM FROM THE SUPPORTERS OF THE 3 CANDIDATES. ONE OF THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS ASKED WAS:
1. NAME SOME OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF YOUR CANDIDATE. . NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON RAISED THEIR HAND WHEN THE QUESTION WAS ASKED FROM THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS.!!! SURPRISED?
2. 7 PEOPLE RAISED THEIR HANDS FROM THE MCCAIN SUPPORTERS.
5. 5 PEOPLE RAISED THEIR HANDS FOR HILLARY.
CONCLUSION: VOTERS SHOULD ASK THEMSELVES THE SANE QUESTION? ASK OBAMA AND HIS CAMP : WHAT ARE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF OBAMA?

Jason   May 2nd, 2008 12:54 pm ET

It's clear that the granny for Clinton is a racist. Usual Clinton style fearmongering calling Osama bin Laden, Obama bin Laden.
She's simply worshipping names.

OPEN your eyes   May 2nd, 2008 12:52 pm ET

Obama's "granny" should have opened her eyes when she talked about what he stated he believes in. It made her look like she was lying and that he never said it. OPEN YOUR EYES if you want to appear totally truthful.

Clinton's "granny" seems to be stuck in a Jimi Hendrix haze.

Temperament   May 2nd, 2008 12:52 pm ET

He's not an African American candidate, he's an "AMERICAN" candidate.

Choosing to sit down at any table with so-called adversaries and iron out millenium old kinks and wrinkles IS not naivety it is as Ms. Weis put - "WISE"

Jaime, DE   May 2nd, 2008 12:50 pm ET

LOL, you can tell by their faces who supports who. Barack's supporter was great, full of life and energy.

Hillary's supporter was…well shall we say misinformed. She called Barack Obama Bin Ladin, and the host had to correct her. She also kept talking about the "two of them" as if she really didn't believe Hillary could run the country on her own.

I enjoyed watching them, but Baracks supporter was way better.

STOP THE MADDNESS!!!!   May 2nd, 2008 12:49 pm ET

Okay, if you are supporting Obama I am sure he would not approve of
"typical white bitter person". Or would he? Let's ask!! Also name calling and speculation is just what this country does not need. We are all Americans and in this together. The press will be the press and reporters will be swayed (unfortunately) and we go on. Also "the only thing missing from that clip with Hillary's granny supporter was her white hood and robe, with a buring cross prop". What is this? Isn't this racist also? Please stop the bickering and hopefully the press can find something worthwhile and important to report on. This country is in need of some real repair and the stuff I am reading here and in the press is not doing anything more than dividing. I am a Hillary supporter all the way. As an American I have the right to support the person I feel is better qualified to take charge and work with the people. Color, race, gender, sexual preference etc does not matter to me. What matters is who is qualified, ready, strong, focused and willing to listen to us in order to bring about change. She has the solutions!!

1ofDa10th   May 2nd, 2008 12:46 pm ET

What do former couples in the White House have to do with anything??? If Obama wins, there will still be a couple in the White House! He has a lovely wife named Michelle and beautiful children as well. Is she advocating that a single person can't be President? I truly hope Hillary supporters have more than this to base their decisions off of…

Jane-Nevada   May 2nd, 2008 12:46 pm ET

In this issue of Paul vs Clinton, somebody in Indiana or NC should ask the Clintons when they are campaigning in front of the cameramen ,then CNN will have no choice but to report.
Probably Chelsea !

we need to know!

Larry Buchas   May 2nd, 2008 12:43 pm ET

"Oh and I find it just as entertaining how Hillary supporter threw the first low blow "Obama bin Laden" and Obama's supporter took the high road "

Hillary still doesn't think Barack is a Muslim AS FAR AS SHE KNOWS. It's unfortunate many elderly citizens for Hillary are still stuck in their racist pasts.

Oh, by the way, has anyone taken the time to compare the number of African-Americans in the Senate versus the number of women? That should tell you how far we have come in matters of race!

Nikki, Florida   May 2nd, 2008 12:42 pm ET

Who looks like us in the future? Which one looks plastic and fake?

Pretty much matches the candidates they support…

And recommendations to google "Obama" and something else are 1) fearmongering 2) about as valid as complaints about the flag pin and 3) taken from a page in the Republican (Hillary's REAL party affiliation?) playbook…

Facts first, liars NEVER

Felicia Duncan Cincinnati Ohio   May 2nd, 2008 12:41 pm ET

My white, 87 year old grandmother, a life long Democrat, rancher's wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother from rural America supports Senator Obama fully.

She discusses his issues with others and defends him on a daily basis. She also prays for him and his family. Grandma is from the wisest generation. She has lived through the great depression, World War II, the many wars that have followed, Watergate, and up into our present nightmare in Iraq and disasterous current White House administration. She has prayed for family members and friends who were soldiers in several wars and buried a few. She has observed history as it ebbs and flows from good times to bad. Grandma supports Senator Obama, and she has never lead me astray with her advice or direction. When Grandma Rose talks, I always listen. Go Obama!

Spirit of America   May 2nd, 2008 12:39 pm ET

What a refreshing pleasure it is to hear the voice of wisdom coming from these two elders full of life. Goes to show you what great things could have been the case had there been a woman in The White House as president decades ago. Better late, than never.

Obama's top ten lists should be:
1. Wright told America I'm just a Politician. Oops…that is true.
2. I'm so eloquent…oops my writer wrote it.
3. This is my economic plan…oops I forgot to ask my advisers first and I'm waiting for Hillary's lead.
4. Let's stick to the actual issue..oops, Michelle and Caroline should say that at CNN..
5. Come on Hillary's defectors and join me…oops do you think you can fool me I will defect also after I win and resurrect my loyal friends Wright, Rezco, and Ayers
6. Bitter and clinging - oops those are not in my dictionary, oops I got it from Wright.
7. Yeah, Wright mocked the Americans and I will lie by saying what he said is offensive….remember I'm a politician.
8. I'm electable…oops Hillary won the big states and has more electoral college votes to date that are crucial in November. Anyway, I fooled the superdelegates including the traitors.
9. Oops….I forgot what to say…where are my advisers.
10. Vote for Hillary…oops vote for me.

For those of you who think there is nothing to this, they have already been fined.

'The Federal Elections Commission already ruled that Clinton's 2000 campaign committee underreported cash it received at the fundraising event Paul sponsored. The FEC slapped the campaign committee with a $35,000 fine.'

Now we just wait for the fraud trial to see how involved Hillary is in the whole incident. There is a video that pretty much reveals she knew about the whole thing. The tape indicates Clinton – despite denials throughout six years of investigation – was directly involved with business mogul Peter Franklin Paul in producing a lavish Hollywood fundraiser in August 2000 that eventually cost Paul nearly $2 million."

Get informed - google Paul vs Clinton and make your own informed decision.

You go Ms. Weiss - You are exactly right. Obama is like the grown up on a playground of "experienced" bullies. I would take his level headed, thoughtful approach any day if given the choice. Also, an added bonus - he's smart (and that's from day one).

Nora   May 2nd, 2008 12:37 pm ET

Wow! The only thing missing from that clip with Hillary's granny supporter was her white hood and robe, with a burning cross prop. Could she have been more transparent with her rational for voting for Hillary.

Diane   May 2nd, 2008 12:35 pm ET

The Clinton supporters may not think the Paul v Clinton lawsuit has any merit, but it goes to a pattern of dishonesty displayed by both Clintons. As I have said before, I don't care what the Rev. Wright said. I am smart enough to differentiate between the two men. I feel sorry for anyone who can't make that distinction. Obama has clearly shown himself to be the better candidate. He remains calm in the face of public condemnation for something he didn't do and he continues to tell us what we NEED to hear, not just what we WANT to hear. Obama is the first candidate in my 30 years since I could vote that has actually made me excited about the whole process.

GO OBAMA

Hillary Clinton told O'Reilly on Fox this week that she bears scars….we all know, we the taxpayers beared the millions and millions spent on Water Gate and Impeachments hearings…..(so why isn't CNN not covering this or the Paul vs Clinton case?)…..In the grand scheme of things, when it comes to integrity especially, Obama is squeaky clean compared to the Clintons….hope voters in the upcoming primaries don't make their decision based on unrealiable polls or on recent newscasts …..

Sadly, some americans are being swayed by sensationalism type reporting, hype and commentaries…

CB2   May 2nd, 2008 12:34 pm ET

I love Weiss!!! Especially when she said that Barack Obama is an American. That is how you have to look at things nowadays. I do respect my elders, however, Ms. O'brien really has no merit for wanting Hillary in the White house because of her name. What?!?! Was she serious.

It is apparent that Ms. Weiss is a very educated woman and she didn't make a collage to show how Hillary and Bill are meant to be in the White House. What Ms. O'Brien has to remember is that African Americans weren't even allowed to walk on the same side walk as White Americans, let alone be president. Her ideology is flawed. It doesn't make any sense to nominate someone because their name sounds presidential. Give me a break!!! How bias can you be….

For Gas Tax Relief,

It's partly because this tax relief that only saves you 30 cents a day but it potentially causes the loss of up to 300,000 jobs that help maintain and repair our infrastructure (roads, bridges, etc.).

Are you willing to look 300,000 families in the eye and tell them that they have to be laid off because you want to save 30 cents?

And what good is a 30 cent a day gas savings if the roads that you drive the car on aren't drivable?

Vera Paulina   May 2nd, 2008 12:32 pm ET

Near the beginning of this campaign Bill Clinton spoke that "they" would do whatever they had to do in order to win. Even if that included throwing in the kitchen sink. Was Reverand Wright that kitchen sink? Is it unreasonable to consider that someone in the Clinton Camp who wants Hilary to win so badly and one who has lots of "easy come/easy go" bribe Rev. Wright with promises of cruises and beautiful homes and other objects that seem common for some political persons to arrange?

Fed up Democrat   May 2nd, 2008 12:31 pm ET

Don't rely on this going any futher than the blogs for now. It is just another truth about Hillary and her campaign and her overall character which the repubs will use against her if she steals the Nomination/election. Unfortunately NON of the MSM are interested in truth or fairness, so it will be buried along with all the other reasons that Hillary will never be President in her life time. Not now and not ever. If we loose the WH we will only have the Clintons and their incredible lieing machine which includes her sad supporters and the MSM.

WOW SLOW NEWS DAY HUH!!!!!!!! First of all both of these ladies don't exactly exude one with confidence in the candidate they support. In particular one was spewing nonsensical rhetoric about Hillary's name fitting in with Roosevelt, Washington, etc. in the oval office. Errr there was no oval office in Washingtons day as a history teacher I can say you sound ignorant when you say things like these. Not to mention how ignorant you sound when referring to us sitting down and talking to other nations. Lets be adult about it now. If I had kids bickering I would make them work out the differences not just seperate them and cause hatred to fester and grow.

Obama 08…. Not "Yes We Can" it is actually "Yes We Already Have"
No way to fairly win Hill time to drop out…

"Granny v. Granny"? Nice, CNN - denigrating senior citizens. Keep lowering the intellectual tone of your political coverage with the nonsense — while serious issues are facing us.

Bob, Lyons Oregon,   May 2nd, 2008 12:28 pm ET

I agree with Marques, Jean Weiss was more positive and knew much more about her candidate, where as the clinton supporter, pointed to a silly board she made, that made no sense and made negative comments against Obama. The choice is the more positive and honest candidate. Obama for president.

gail in chicago   May 2nd, 2008 12:28 pm ET

"Obama Bin Ladin"? Are you kidding me? Thank god for intelligent people like Ms. Weiss!

Edward   May 2nd, 2008 12:28 pm ET

America needs to vote for Obama because he is absolutely correct on several issues, primarily the critical issue of todyay, the iraq war.

Voting for Hillary or Mccain is a tacit approval for Bush's decision to start an unprovoked war of aggression that has had disasterous consequences. Most Americans know this well and the only reason they won't suport Obama is either because they won't support any black man for president or they allow themselves to be persuaded by bigots, who never intended to vote democratic, that he is anti American.

People should understand that, regardless of how they personally feel, race is still an issue in this country and as such we can not expect that everybody sees this issue in quite the same way. Not that any particular perspective is right or wrong,as a man of mixed race,Obama is best suited to help this nation begin to move past this issue at last.

Obama is the straight talk express. More than Clinton or Mccain he honestly speaks his mind (sometimes clumsily) is honest and has shown he can handle difficult issues deftly. He is calm, thoughtful and most importantly can inspire the best in us all, the complete anti thesis of Bush. America should not allow fear and division to cloud our good judgement. We should not continue to do he same things that have prove wrong over and oevr again. that is the defintion of madness.

Layla   May 2nd, 2008 12:28 pm ET

Why isn't anyone covering what Hillary Clinton said about blue collar workers. She told Bill when he was running that he didn't need the blue collar workers and that they have never done anything for him. I heard it on Fox News…Why isn't CNN covering it? I depise Fox News but I must agree they do have the scoop before other channels.

John Adkisson   May 2nd, 2008 12:28 pm ET

I'm only 56 and happily married, but otherwise I'd be in love with Jean Weiss. What a sweetheart with a brain. Senator Obama should use her in a commercial. If he did, he'd switch the senior vote in a nanosecond!

David   May 2nd, 2008 12:27 pm ET

Hate is not we ask of but wisdom.
Why in this word, should a grown up lady call mr Obama, Obama Bin laden?

We require respect because respect is reciprocale.
It not about the issue.

Why?? We have learn in Iraq that Bush said he will not speak with Insurgents, but he is paying many of them. That is politics.
Let's just forget about politics and face the reality.
You speak with your enemies to to surrender but to know what is going on.
Jesus the master of the universe said Love your enemies.
Hillary Clinton, George Bush and McCain is telling us that they are smart than Jesus.

Why did people call themself conservatieves, while they support Bush who don't talk to his enemies?
Maybe Clinton, Bush and MacCain should go and read there Bibles.

For Gas Tax Relief said "Hard working Folks Just Don't Understand How Michael Bloomberg, a "Billionare" says giving the American people a gas tax relief is the Dumpest thing he ever heard, and Sen Obama Agrees with him. Why ????????????????????????????????"

Well, the reason Michael Bloomberg is a billionaire is because he's simply a brilliant economist. If you were always able to see a few steps ahead, especially in regard to the economy and the financial market, you'd probably be a billionaire too. The Clinton campaign can't find a single respected economist mind to back this bill…. and by the way, John McCain is not a respected economist.

Question: which reason has real validity?

You do not have to read it if you dont want but it is there and it is real. The media needs to bring it out now for Hillary to defend herself is she is going to be the nominee because the repubs will roast her with it. No malice….

It's been covered - the guy is a felon whose accusations have been thoroughly researched by factcheck.org and others who found nothing to substantiate his claims. Stop filling up the blog with this nonsense. This has nothing to do with the cute little grammas; it's already refuted; Sen. Clinton is just a witness in the lawsuit; blah, blah, blah.

Is it?

Contrast the differences between their arguments and it shows exactly how idiotic Hillary's supporters are.

For Hillary's supporters, its about legacy and putting a "women" in the White House. What was she saying that Hillary and Bill "fit right in there with the Roosevelts", the tradition type of Presidents? So, because Obama is not like "traditional" Presidents he doesn't deserve to be there? And it's Osama not Obama. What a joke!

Obama should remind older americans of Roosevelt. He needs to remind them of how Americans didn't have jobs, food to eat. I read somewhere that they would throw chicken bones back in the pot for another day! And the president before Roosevelt was a republican, Hoover!! People lived in shanty housing hey like in developing countries. And look, now, people are losing their houses! Who created social security, a democrat or republican? Most of these older americans probably have alzheimers so you have to keep reminding them so they know who to vote for.

He should have a town meeting with only older americans.

Non story huh? Lets see what happens in the fall, when more of the facts come out. She has a lot of skeletons in her closet. Way more than Obama. I love it. Hillary supporters want to point their ugly fingers at Obama, but they have 4 pointing right back at Hillary. Wake UP!!! Hillary is a bigger liability than Obama. Let Indiana vote for Clinton. She will lose in November, because America is SICK of the Clintons. I am a republican who would be voting for Obama, because he is the only good candiate. If he's not the nominee, I am voting for Nader. I will not vote for Hillary, and I do not trust her. It seems I am not the only one, since about 59% of Americans have the same view of her. I will not vote for McCain because he is out of touch with where Americans are today and need to go into the future. My vote may not mean anything in the election, but it will to me.

Media Biases   May 2nd, 2008 12:12 pm ET

The political maneuverings of HRC and BHO cannot hold a candle, not even close to the political manipulation and word smithing of all the media houses.
1. Rather than say that Hillary cant get the new voters, educated and/or wealthy whites& black votes, younger voters - they say OBAMA cannot get the blue collar white voters. Ummm, there are also blue collar voters of other races too…i guess they are irrelevant

2. Rather than focus on the failings of the former pastors of BOTH candidates…NO Media House has even looked at Rev. William Procanick who got a 3yr convition for child molestation, but completely smothered us in Rev. Wright. What, no CNN affiliates in UTICA?

3. There was much jubilation when Hillary won the "big" state PA, because of the high delegate count (a state she was favored to win anyway, and still got her lead cut to 9 though CNN said 10%). Now that Obama is favored to win NC with the highest remaining delegate count - EVERYBODY'S EYES have been turned by CNN to IN. Why? Him winning a state he is favored to win doesnt matter even with the highest remaining delegate count? Or is it just that him winning anything doesnt matter as much as HRC?

4. Tony Rezco is on trial for corruption and his name keeps coming up w/ Obama's insinuating that there is some suspicious corrupted connection there. YET. Bill, Hillary , Ed Rendall and Terry M,cAuliffe all have a day in court waiting in CA for a pending campaign corruption surrounding Hillary's 2000 Senate bid. The news is on every blog, emails, unbiased media sites, Yet NO MSM station or news paper carries it. Their attorney just got the case postponed until AFTER the November election for Hillary to testify then…how convenient. I bet it would be a WHOLE uproar had it been BHO

No media bias huh? Well lets see if she gets the nomination, if the RNC, swiftboat and all those good fellows will pamper her they way the MSM has.

I am a political junkie and an avid democrat but guess what? I stopped following the primaries intensely a long time ago. I wonder why the media elevates the relevance of one voting block(whites and blue collar voters) of the democratic party and down-plays the others( young and black voters) If the democrats have any reliable voting block that hardly swing to vote for republicans then that will be the African Americans. We have to hold our base to attract others to vote for us. With this divisive campaign coming from Hillary, it will be extremely hard if not impossible to get the black vote this fall should she win the nomination. She is in to satisfy her personal ambitions and has no regard for the welfare of the Democratic Party. It is time she wakes up!!!

The superdelegates gravitating towards Obama is a sad tale of blindness….

What they do not realise is that Obama has been acting and has been acting good. See, as soon as the Rev. stated that, “Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls,” Wright told the Press Club. “Preachers say what they say because they’re pastors. . . . I do what pastors do. [Obama] does what politicians do,” he was asking the Amertican people think, is Barack Obama telling them {American people} the truth about himself.

Obama became offended.

What Wright was saying is that he knows, based on his long personal relationship with Obama, that Obama agrees with him but can’t say so publicly for political reasons.

In my opinion all the other negative comments about America meant nothing to him, if not he would have 'divorced' Wright in March.

Did he not in March ask us ALL to excuse Wright and pardon him for his comments, and used the opportunity to give a speech he had been saving.

In reality… I am convinced that Wright knows Obama better than Obama would like us to believe… Some of Wright has rubbed off on him and Michelle, so let's stop fooling ourself.

John, Indiana   May 2nd, 2008 12:02 pm ET

Why is this news?

How about the fact that Iran has apparently filed a formal complaint with the UN about HRC's threats to blow up Iran if she is President–another pointless war?

Sharon–that isn't a smear, that is a fact.

How about the racial comments that her advisor reportedly made about Indianians? But no, you would rather talk about "warring grannies" and Reverend Wright and comments Obama has disavowed–that his whole life style and history show he rejects.

You should be ashamed.

I liked O8ama granny more than Clinton granny. Clinton granny is stuck in the past with all the other presidents. O8ama granny is moving forward with "Change". Hillarious!

Linda   May 2nd, 2008 12:00 pm ET

It's interesting to me that the Clinton supporter could only talk about the "couple" . Isn't this about Hillary and Barack? Who would be best in office, not about Bill? SOunds like she was for Bill or the pair instead of just Hillary.

In all cases this is before the court. I think the media should cover it and should shed the light on the case and any pther cases that involves BO. Americans need to know what kind of candidates they are electing..

Vig   May 2nd, 2008 11:58 am ET

Here's the reality - Obama cannot win a general election. So get over your giggles, infatuation, idealization, fantasy and projections.

CLINTON DOESNT LIE   May 2nd, 2008 11:57 am ET

CLINTON SUPPORTERS- Rezko was a story and this one against Clinton is FAR worse, she is on tape talking with a 4 time convicted felon who helped her 2000 Senate campaign, why is she doing business with an already convicted felon who was also a Cocaine Dealer????. She thanked him on a recorded phone message for raising $1.3 million dollars for her campaign(FACT) and this is not news?? Rev Wright is a saint compared to this guy who is now suing the Clintons!

Dexter   May 2nd, 2008 11:56 am ET

Man, that video is so much bigger than Rev Wright.

I can't wait to see how the media ignores it.

former democrat   May 2nd, 2008 11:56 am ET

Did you see this piece? If you did, then you would also have seen the old Clinton supporter expose her own prejudice. She said, look at the names of the old presisdents and first ladies, Hillary Rodham Clinton and William Jefferson Clinton fit right in. What she's implying…Barack Obama does not. She kept talking about the couple (ironinc isn't it) fit in, why was she disregarding Michelle Obama, what was she trying to say…Why do old folks vote Clinton in the majority…the older folks have a harder time letting go of the prejudices that were rampant not long ago. People don't want to talk much about it, but prejudice and racism though dying, is not dead, and it is more prominent in the older community. Those of you who have seen older white ladies cross the strees as you walk by know what I mean…. It's sad, but there is hope, and I believe that Obama as president can help start bridging those divides that still plague America today.

PS: Did Clinton granny just confuse Obama's name with "someone", maybe she doesnt like him because of his name.

To Typical Bitter White Person,
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was the first vice president of Kenya when Kanyatta was the president of Kenya. His son Raila Amolo Odinga is the current Prime Minister of that country. If you want to scare people away from Obama, please use something else becuase you look like idoit. There is nothing as Obama Odinga.

Theresa, Ohio   May 2nd, 2008 11:56 am ET

I am a proud White in her 50's to have voted for Obama.

Atleast I get a good night sleep after voting for him in Ohio. We can make a difference.

Vote for Obama

Honest Abe   May 2nd, 2008 11:56 am ET

That debate was a set up in Philadelphia. The media failed to let the public know that Stepanopolis was a Clinton Staffer. Unbelievable!!!! I knew that whole thing smelled funny! Drudge report has it:

HILLARY 'TOWN HALL' TO BE HOSTED BY EX-CLINTON STAFFER STEPHANOPOULOS
Thu May 01 2008 17:25:20 ET

Just hours before the Indiana and North Carolina presidential primaries, ABCNEWS has offered to air a 'town hall' meeting with Hillary Clinton — to be hosted by former Clinton staffer George Stephanopoulos!

Embracing and racing through a brave new era of journalism, it is not clear if ABCNEWS will inform viewers of Stephanopoulos's past employment.

Stephanopoulos helped run Mr. Clinton's first presidential election campaign and acted as his press secretary and advisor on policy and strategy before joining ABC NEWS.

An executive at a rival network mocked, "We look forward to ABC holding the next town hall meeting with President Bush, hosted by Karl Rove!"

ABC will air the hour-long Hillary forum live from Indianapolis on Sunday.

"George has interviewed all the candidates time and time again and has put tough but fair questions to each," said a network spokesman. "Expect the same on Sunday."

The network hit controversy last month over the decision to allow Bill Clinton's former press secretary to moderate a debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama — without any disclaimer.

Obama is scheduled to appear on NBC'S MEET THE PRESS, where he is expected to receive a traditional grilling by host Tim Russert.
