Huffington: Clinton using Rove tactics against Obama

CNN

Watch Arianna Huffington assess the 2008 presidential race.

(CNN) – Arianna Huffington, Editor-in-Chief of the Huffingtonpost.com and author of a new book, didn’t pull any punches in assessing the 2008 presidential race.

Sen. Hillary Clinton “has really taken a page out of Karl Rove’s playbook when it comes to her advertising especially,” Huffington told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Friday.

Huffington compared Clinton’s “3 a.m.” ad to advertising against Sen. John Kerry orchestrated by Rove during President Bush’s 2004 re-election bid. “The assumption was that if people elected Obama they would not be as safe as if they elected her.” “Their children would not be as safe,” added Huffington.

“And then on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, we had the Osama ad appear,” Huffington said, refererring to a Clinton campaign ad that contained an image of Osama bin Laden, the alleged mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“It is a very powerful image in America,” Huffington said of the bin Laden image. “Every election after 9-11 is going to be a national security election and manipulating the electorate’s fear has been key to the re-election of George Bush,” she added.

Huffington, the founder of the popular liberal news and commentary website, also shared her views on Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama, on the way the media is covering the Iraq war, and on “the extreme right of the Republican Party.” “Right is Wrong,” Huffington’s new book, was released recently.

  3. Clinton=no shame

    Just a couple of things.
    1) Clinton recieves the most money from Health Insurance compaines
    2) Clinton plan will get denied in the Senate
    3) Obama is more Realistic and thats what American needs...No more empty promises but plans that work.
    4) Obama education plan Beats EVERY other persons plan. I really wish people would focus on the eeducation part. McCain and Clinton are for standarized tests that fail the system.
    5)gas tax holiday=failure
    6) she Wants to Nuke Iran. Serisouly she would be fight 3 diffrent countries at once. Even McCain has never said such a thing. are you seiously Nuke Iran....Destroy everything about forgein policy....But yet Obama talking is worse then her Nuking....

    Ariana Huffington is laughable.

Senator Obama has played tit for tat, thrown rocks and hid his hands all through the campaign. He is every bit the politican that Clinton and McCain is, witness his tolerating Rev. Wright for twenty years because it was expedient.

Ariana needs to stop being an uber-Liberal for a moment and realize that Obama, once again, will put the Democrats in the ditch.

As long as the uber-Liberals are in control of the Democratic Party, the Republicans will control the White House.

If Barack Obamas' campaign had decided to go negative they would have bury Clinton 6 feet under like the Republicans will do if somehow she becomes the nominee, everybody knows it.
Clintons have some much baggage that they could expose one different everyday until election day.
The situation in which Obama is right now, with right wing media pushing hard the smear muslim/ayers/wright/flag pin and the left wing media helping out to push Clinton, it is a miracle that he stands leading.
Americans voted twice for Bush...I ask my fellow Obama supporters if they really believe that these same voters would see the light a do what is good for them? I fear that like myself, you know the answer is not encouraging !

HUFFINGTON POST USES HAMAS TACTICS: Arianna Huffington and her website has just joined the ranks of MoveOn.org and DailyKos as the premier left-wing Propaganda sites of the USA. Arianna Huffington whose extremist left views make George W. Bush look like a big city liberal is a big fan of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and tthe kind of demeaning belittling politics that looks down and sneers on the plight of ordinary small town middle America.
What these silly lefties don't understand is she will help McCain add a 3rd term to the Bush two. Thanks out of touch left wingers.

    Hope Vs Fear

Hope Factor => Obama => Kennedy
Fear Factor => Hillary => Bush Jr.

Exactly... How do you choose your church? How do you choose your president?

Watch out America, your shadow may be a terrorist!

Short link: Obama is a fatally flawed (e.g., wife, pastor, lack of resume) loser who cannot win. Hilllary is a well-positioned candidate to win the POTUS title. What the heck are you Obamanian cretins thinking?

..One more thing...ECHEWEOZO..Hillary's and Obama's views on continuting the war in Iraq are the same. More importantly, Obama stated in 2002 (while he was just running for office, and before he had any kind of real job) that he would have supported invasion of Iraq, if he were a Senator. Finally, Hillary's "vote" on Iraq was meaningless, since only the president of the United States gets to send soldiers to war. Wake up and learn how this country's 200-year-old governmental system works before you offer up idiotic suggestions.

So Obama's "I don't take money from gas companies" ad wasn't from the Rove playbook? How about when he was caught out in a flat lie about his claims about Clinton's health plan? Well, it was at least old politics– something that Obama claims not to be. Arianna is completely incapable of objectivity, and its quite disgusting, frankly.
