well, some folks might not like how they endorsed, but they are the #1 paper in the State (in terms of circulation, if not in terms of quality), and while newspaper endorsements don't always influence voters, most politicos like to get a paper's endorsement than not receive it.....and of course it is the paper's right to endorse what ever person they want to..... mccain/rice08!

California Case #BC304174

"In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25, 2008 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!."

“Had Senator Clinton be forced to testify under oath, as a material witness and beneficiary of the fraud that her husband is being sued for before the Democratic Convention, her remote chances for being nominated the party candidate would have been unquestionably destroyed.”

“Paul contends his case will expose "the institutional culture of corruption embraced by the Clinton leadership of the Democratic Party," which seeks to attain "unaccountable power for the Clintons at the expense of the rule of law and respect for the constitutional processes of government."

The Indianapolis Star's endorsement states why Hillary Clinton must be our next President!

Between Barach Obama's loyalty to a Pastor, who he knew all along had those extreme views on America and race, and his stereotyping of Pennsylvanians, why would any voter think he has what it takes to be President?

No one in public service should be stereotyping anyone! Did not Obama grow up with that awful way of viewing people? Would he not be the last person to do that himself?

Senator Obama's "epiphany" concerning Rev. Wright was politically driven.

Reverend Wright's silence after the 'denunciation' is deafening!

Although Hillary has this endorsement, she continues to get less superdelegates that Barack each week and has no chance of reaching his total in pledged delegates. The drawn out outcome of the Democratic primary is inevitable, but the "drawn out" part is hurting the Democrats significantly.

Not only are they directing all of their attention and arguments at each other rather than McCain, they are also directing all the Democratic MONEY at each other rather than at McCain. There is a finite limit of money that can be raised for the entire election process on both sides. The Democrats are using the bulk of theirs against each other, while the Republicans are building a big fund to win the election that matters. ALL STATES SHOULD VOTE ON THE SAME DAY to ELIMINATE this huge WASTE OF MONEY and DETRIMENTAL PROCESS of drawn out elections!

I can't believe Obama talking about 30 cents saving a day for "average families". That comparision is why he is so out of touch. They are many Americans that drive long trips to get to work or their jobs require them to drive. Obama just like to tax people instead of having oil companies pay some of the bill. What an out of touch guy Obama has become!!!

Has it occurred to Hillary supporters that the only way she can get the nomination, at this point, would be by fatally fracturing her party? Does anyone seriously think she can get more popular votes, more delegates and win more states? I know he may not get all three either however, if by some chance she does persuade the SD to side with her and gets FL and MI to count, how is that going to unite the democrats for November?

By persisting and hoping for this unlikely winning scenario, Hillary is considerably weakening her parties chances in Novenmber regardless of who the nominee is. When Romney pulled out of the race, does anyone think it was because he could not carry on and mount a serious challenge to Mccain? Some Repulican elders persauded him to put his party before his own personal ambition. Hillary's blinding ambition may be the single biggest factor in handing the Repubilcans the White House in November.

Hillary is a smart woman. I want a smart person in the "White" House. Ever listen to her interviews? If you havn't then you should. She doesn't beat around the bush like Obama does. He's afraid to debate with her too and there's a good reason for that.

I hope it will help.

I am a manager of one of the largest country clubs in Fla.

There are over 5000 members and I see alot of them on a daily basis.

I would say more than half are democrats and the elections are the

talk of the club. I can tell you first hand if Obama gets the nomination

these people are going to vote for John McCain, and this is not

blowing smoke. The super deligates better think twice before they

loose this election.

How crazy is this??!!?!? How much will the media cover the comments made by Kantor who now is an advisor on the Clinton campaign?!?!? WITH Carville and George S. standing right there, nodding in agreement?!?!?!?

This is why the Clinton campaign is awful. Its so hypocritical and callous in nature that anyone who thinks this lady can unite the party and is the primary person responsible for dividing the party is CRAZY!

But, we shall see how the media plays this out...Im sure they will attempt to disclaim it as much as possible...outrageous remarks, huh Hillary? If you knew persons made comments like Wright's you would leave...well, tell Carville, Kantor AND George S. that they cant be a part of your team...but, you wont do that because you need George S. to give you that power punch on Sunday...ABCNEWS is ridiculous!

Go Obama...we are above all of this "stuff"!

wow....remember when there was this "dream" of when the media would be unbiased? How can a paper ignore a "misspeak" of sniper fire....(that was a lie) - how can they overlook the support and non-support of licensing illegal aliens....and a healthcare plan that supports the same illegal aliens....how about distorting her opponents records with "misspeaking" - how can they support such a person....I guessing framing it as "they all do it" makes it easy....well...except when the other person doesn't - we don't need politicians like this....Republicans, Independents and Democrats will vote for Obama...whereas only Democrats and people who don't read will vote for Hillary

I'm confused... Why is when Sen. Clinton proposes a windfall tax to pay for the gas tax holiday that idea is attacked with statements such as 'then the oil companies will just raises prices to counter'. However, Sen. Obama proposes the same idea and some people react as though the Heavens opened up and scrolls were revealed. What he does not state is how he plans to distribute those windfall taxes. Are they to be used for healthcare, education, or just politician's pockets? While Sen. Clinton maintains her plan is a short term offensive to high petrol prices, at least we will see more of a benefit than a thousand dollar tax cut. How does Sen. Obama plan to decide which families obtain the cut? Whereas, the tax holiday would benefit everyone. Maybe the Star can help explain.

More examples of the mindset of Obama supporters. Nasty, vile blowhards spewing nasty, vile things at Hillary. If these are the types of people that are drawn to Obamas' message of "Hope' please count me out. Watch the interview that Hillary did with Bill O'Reily and you'll see the tough, knowledgeable, intelligent woman that she is. The person we need to straighten out this mess that Bush has gotten us into. Saw a gathering of undecided voters being asked about the accomplishments of the three candidates. They all could name accomplishments for Clinton and McCain. None could name any accomplishments for Obama, even the people who were favoring him.. Enough said.

Here's the EFFECT of Holiday Gas Tax, it NOT only affects how much you pay at the gas pump but also at the grocery. The reason prices of groceries you buy are at least 30% higher than the last two months, truckers have to charge more for hauling those groceries to supermarkets near you.

The Obama supporters, including a few superdelegates(one of which betrayed Hillary yesterday from Indiana), are in a total state of panic if you just read on the site here! It's incredible the things that they come up with!

Phoney scandals aren't going to change voters minds! Give it up, because you really look like jerks!

If you think that Americans want Reverand Wright slipping in and out of the White House for 4 years, you're wrong dead wrong! And that goes for all 50 states that might feel a little bitter these days.

OBAMA IS UNELECTABLE AND HAS WON NO BIG STATES!

Nice endorsement - writing that the New York senator “regrettably has pandered more to voters” than Obama, adding that some of her political experience on her husband, former President Bill Clinton’s, behalf “understandably gives many voters pause about whether another Clinton should serve as president.”

Why even endorse if you have such reservations about pandering and borrowing experience from her husband?

For those who think the break on the gas tax for the summer is a great idea "so people can go on vacation," there are many reasons not to do this. It is a short term fix that probably won't work because the oil companies will just raise costs to cover the tax, but if it does work in the short term, will cause gas to be even more expensive later due to increased demand and only save the average citizen about 30 bucks total. If things are so bad, how can you even consider traveling for vacation? Seriously, staying close to home for vacation is not the biggest sacrifice one can make. I plan to take up gardening as a hobby this year to keep me closer to home and help with the cost of food. Not terribly exciting, but necessary at this time.

I can't believe how bitter people are. I guess all those people complaining about the gas rebate proposal should give back the refund that the Bush administration just gave them? That rebate as well may not stimulate the economy. So, for those of you getting back 1200 or more, why don't you just give it back?

Hurricane Hillary, the Tonya Harding of politics, is such a bitter person.

We have had almost 8 years of "experience" and we all know how that's going.

Our greatest leaders, including Abrham Lincoln, had the least experience yet achieved the greatest results!

We need Obama NOW!
