Obama will appear on Letterman Thursday night.

(CNN) — Barack Obama appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night to deliver the Top 10 "Surprising Facts About Barack Obama," including his interest in singer Paula Abdul.

From the home office in Wahoo, Nebraska:

10. My first act as President will be to stop the fighting between Lauren and Heidi on “The Hills.”

9. In the Illinois primary, I accidentally voted for Kucinich.

8. When I tell my kids to clean their room, I finish with, “I’m Barack Obama and I approved this message.”

7. Throughout high school, I was consistently voted “Barackiest.”

6. Earlier today I bowled a 39.

5. I have cancelled all my appearances the day the “Sex and the City” movie opens.

4. It’s the birthplace of Fred Astaire. (Sorry, that’s a surprising fact about Omaha)

3. We are tirelessly working to get the endorsement of Kentucky Derby favorite Colonel John.

2. This has nothing to do with the Top Ten, but what the heck is up with Paula Abdul?

1. I have not slept since October.

I commend Obama for being positive. Being the 1st Lady in the White House does not consitute as experience in issues that matter. Lying and calling it something else gives you a preview of the lack of character and integrity.

I suppose that all US naval vessels have banner printing presses Mission Accomplished, Oh it must have been the Rev Wright who printed the Banner at Obama's insistance, err no it was Bush and his Mery men durrrrrrrrrrr.

Obama is quite simply the best candidate and all the Wright rubbish and GOP rubbish is just that flim flam and will not change the fact that America is in it deep.

I do hope the superdelegates make their choice soon or it will be too late and we will end up with McBush in charge.

I have no doubt that America will get the President it deserves, not the best person for the job.

Mrs. Madonia Irvine, KS   May 1st, 2008 6:32 pm ET

I wish the country would cut Michelle some slack. She is a young woman who does not have the same network as other first ladies have had. She doesn't have Cindy's 100 million dollars, and she hasn't been a former president. I think the country is being unfair to her.

There is no way in the world this woman is not patriotic. In this country, you have to be more than patriotic to go through what minorities go through all the time.

Michelle is well educated, a great mother, and a good representative of the State of Illinois. She will be a fine first lady.

I will lift her up in prayer, and will support Barack with my vote.

Hang in there Michelle, we are with you.

Clintonistas……so now you like polls do you? Not surprising since you're always changing the rules in the middle of the game to suit you.

Its interesting this latest poll considering she still considered the "MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY" candidate in a national survey. How surprised can you really be considering these polls were taken in Ohio, Penn, and Florida.

Charles   May 1st, 2008 6:31 pm ET

Wait a minute wait a minute. So folks here are actually taking the top ten list from David Letterman seriously? Yes yes, many Obama supporters bashed Hillary when she went on making jokes about her sniper fire incident. THe difference is that he's making fun of himself and not any of the situations that have risen around him. Just clean innocent fun. She made fun of a situation about which she lied and at the same time basically spat in the eye of the many soldiers that have been under fire. Honestly, Everyone needs to get a bit of a grip on reality. He's winning the Democratic primary and if he somehow loses the general election, it's not because he's unelectable, it's because supposed democrats have voted a republican in to office. This will not be on Obama's or his supporter's heads but on those spiteful individuals that can't get over either their personal prejudices or just the fact that the person they backed took a beating after being the supposed heir apparent.

Shaji Nair   May 1st, 2008 6:31 pm ET

Hello Mr Obama,
1.I haven't slept since I came to learn that how much a person can influence on confused people, that is YOU “ It is easy to stand up and tell people those who don’t know about basic political matters around the world about the word “Change”

2. I didn’t sleep after realizing who the real RACIST in their heart is. After South Carolina primary, I started believing that African American People are the most opportunistic racist in their mind. Racism is not a view of a majority to minority. It is the narrow minded view of a human being to others.

Finally, I have seen you criticizing Clinton’s decision to support the initial phase of the war. However I watched you supporting the initial phase of a coward, cult, and racist pastor using a divine place such as Church to bring millions of hard working Americans’ feeling down, hey finally he really tried to screw you too by using his idiotic speeches.

As a stupid politician you realized the trouble of your own decision and you are crying now.

The Best Political Team on the Clinton News Network is at it again. Why don't you just come out and tell everyone that you need Hillary in the race because without it you wouldn't have all these shows on TV like Ballot Bowl, Race for the Whitehouse…. both of which are a load of crappola. Last week you showed Clinton, then Bill, then Chelsea, then 2 minutes of Obama, then it was back to Hillary. Then later you showed the same 2 minutes of Barack that you showed before. What a load of croc.

You already tell us that the Hillary supporters are uneducated or old biddies. I guess you can fool them but for the rest of us, you Keith Olberman has the best political team. And I bet you won't print this.

NAVA - CANADA   May 1st, 2008 6:28 pm ET

OBAMA 2008-2016
—————————

Senator Obama is not responsible for what others write and say about him. He should keep away from such controversies and concentrate on policy issues as hardly anytime left for him to explain to the people of America, as to how he will bring about unity,
economic recovery ,education & health care reforms. How he will tackle foreing policy, how he will get back the lost prestige and fame enjoyed by the people during JFK's tour of duty. He rightly rejected
the debates that Senator Clinton is clamouring for and instead he
is doing the 'meet the people tours' which is the right thing to do as debates are there to wash dirty line in public, which the people are
not interested in and more over what are they going to debate on.
Do they differ largely on foreign policy, economy , education & health care. If that is so, then the republicans can win hands down as they have one set of policies as against two sets of policies among the democrats. Let sanity prevail among the dems and Let Obama lead
the people as he is electable, trustworthy & reliable.

I am so mad about the way things are going in this country. We let the media run everything. I am also so mad at all of you voting for HIllary. Shame on you!! Wake up!! She's going through a trial right now for fundraising fraud and she was involved in the Whitewater scam. Why aren't we talking about that in the media? Why aren't we talking about John McCain's relationships. Why has he been married twice? What happened to his first wife? Where are his medical records? Why aren't we questioning his relationship with that lunatic Hagee? You all make me sick. You try to bring down a man who wants to really make a difference. America does not deserve Obama. Let Hillary and McCain win, and I'll just continue to watch everyone continue to complain. Especially when our enemies are overtaking us, because both of them are so proud and powerful, they won't negociate with our enemies. Hillary has created a mortal enemy with Iran and she's not even president yet. We need someone who will unite us and improve our image around the world. Hillary and John can't.

Sante   May 1st, 2008 6:25 pm ET

I will tell you 10 thinks that Obama is HOT ready to be Commander in chief. :
- Mysterious relationship with mysterious people
- He is a snob and arrogant with people that he does not depend on, manipulator with those that he needs; behind there back he is sarcastic!
- last 10-15 years what he has done like a Community organiser, Senator in Chicago or more so senator of USA
/my answer would be :running for offices; professional runner/
- credibility issues : big time, /many things that have been sad by him / but 1/2 of the Democrats do not to accnolige it for different reasons; one of them is Clintons haters.
- lock of experience: that is NOT very responsible, because he will experiment with that country and the world: dangerous ambition
- chameleon , very , very good at it.
- he started to attack FIRST Hillary Clinton; during the debates still with Eduards and Richardson. I have a copy! The explanation was : she is a front runner!!?? Isn't it now opposite?
- his campaign uses many hidden tactics, he supposed to be "different"
-Very left - I call it SOCIALISM / NARCISSISM.
-Bad debater,;and he supposed to negotiate with world anti American leaders?
Hillary is a B… , but I am not planning to marry her, I need she to do job for me and my family!!!

Clear Vision   May 1st, 2008 6:25 pm ET

Ugh!! These Clinton supporters are Democrats? No wonder you lose every election. These cretins may be hitting the the wrong voting button, based on their ability to spell and write a coherent sentence.

I'm Republican, but you'll probably label me "elitist" because I went to high school in a place other than Nevada — and I can spell! I also have a Top Ten list for "Arthur" — the first is to revoke his KKK membership.

Right now I can spell "President McCain" due to the weak-brained Hillary supporters. Don't you realize Limbaugh and Coulter are playing you for fools, telling their right-wing fanatics to switch parties in North Carolina to vote for Clinton?

Republicans will unite like never before to keep Hill/Bill out of the White House, and your "golden chance" to change the direction of this country will be lost through your pettiness.

It is truly amazing that America has come to only respond to this fear and smear type of campaign — this mean-spirited denigration and slander of a political opponent in order to win. No one can deny that Hillary Clinton is now the personification of that old political campaigning style.

Thomas form NY   May 1st, 2008 6:24 pm ET

Mind control is not only for the prisoners or criminales -the guys who
do such things want to cover up -
How the media can judge things ,and also the public if they so not
know what is going on .It is very difficult to prove ,but a huge reality -Maybe the militars can help to uncover these crimes .

Hillary Rodham Clinton admended her disclosure reports over the weekend to account for $5 million she loaned her presidential campaign in January. Though it was widely known the New York senator used the funds to help rally support for her White House bid during the early primaries, an accounting oversight left the information missing from reports filed at the Federal Election Commission.

The new disclosure brings her total debt to $15.3 million through March, compared to $662,784 for her Democratic opponent Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. While both have debt, they both also have a considerable amount of cash on hand, Obama with $51 million to Clinton's nearly $32 million.

To all you Hillary supporters, start sending her cash, so she can get out of debt.

Some "emphasis on some" of you Hillary supporters seem too vindictive. I mean this is what turns a lot of males off of her. If you and Hillary were nuturing and understanding or maybe more humane at least we might think of voting for her. Everyone of us has run into that witchy evil woman at work that steps on everyone to get to the top and when she needs the little people nobody is there for her. Then she cries sexism or foul play. Men also know that sweet yet smart and strong woman that works her way up the latter, eats crow like everyone else, and is respected by all. I was raised around women and know a good woman when I see one. Hillary used to be that, but Washington politics changed her for the worse. Her supporters on here remind me of that everytime I see just evil comments written about Obama. Support your candidate without attacking people and maybe we might pay attention to the points she truly has an advantage over Obama. Just my observation, don't bight my head off about it.

Los Angeles Judge Saves Hillary's Presidential Bid

In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!

CNN and The National Enquirer are one and the same. But, wait, The Enquirer at least touts itself as a tabloid for the informationally challenged and easily fooled. Honestly CNN, run something new and leave Michelle Obama's comments from months ago, Rev Wright whose 15 minutes have run the course, and the bitter comments from long ago, alone. They have served their purpose and you are starting to look like a bunch of tired old coots with nothing to do but keep on doing nothing over and over and over and over again.

I personally think Barack Obama is a moron on the spot, but when words are written out for him, he can be somewhat reasonable or even funny in this case.

Regardless, I think this is a poor attempt to try and deflect the negative attention that has been dragging his campaign straight into the ground. I doubt it will work.

When will CNN and their Best Political Team address the fact that one,
Dr. Barbara Reynolds, a fervent Clinton supporter brought Rev. Wright to the political arena and sat alongside him, while he ranted on race relations. This was deliberately done to bring down Senator Obama. It is all over the web, detailed in several newspapers and yet you are Mum on CNN.

11. I have the low-down on Billary: In his excellent book titled, Free Lunch, Pulitzer Prize winning reporter David Cay Johnston describes the sale of the Magnequench Company to China, "Complaints about the sale of Magnequench were made to the US government because of the military application of the neodymium rare earth magnets. Still, the Clinton administration, an ardent proponent of globalization, approved the sale. It did impose one condition: that the new owners keep magnet production and technology in the United States. Soon the new owners of Magnequench were busy buying up other magnet factories in the United States, including GA Powders, an Idaho firm that had used taxpayer money to develop the powerful new magnets. Once the new owners had a monopoly on production of these powerful magnets in the United States, they began shutting down facilities and moving manufacturing to China. By 2003, the original Magnequench factory in Indiana was the last American production line for the powerful magnets. Once it closed, and its equipment was hauled off, the United States became dependent on China for these magnets, including the strategically vital ones needed for smart bombs and other defense-related applications………….more

Could the Paul v Clinton Fraud Suit Upset the Clinton Democratic Party?

Paul v. Clinton is a civil suit filed in 2004 and currently being held in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The plaintiff Peter Paul, alleges that President Bill Clinton and his wife, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, deceived him into paying for the Gala Hollywood Farewell Salute to President Clinton, during Hillary Clinton's first Senate race in 2000, by making a promise that the President would work for Paul's company, Stan Lee Media, after his Presidential term was over. Paul alleges that the President broke his promise and stole his business partner, causing his business to crumble and, further, that his contributions to Hillary Clinton's campaign were falsely reported to the Federal Election Commission.[1] Besides the Clintons, three other individuals who were involved in fundraising or the gala, are named as defendants in the suit.[2]

See we don't need this in the white house……gee clinton supporters, get real and wake up,…….

CNN is either pro Clinton or pro Republican . To make your top story Obama losing support when the former Chairman of the Democratic Party has just switched support from Clinton to Obama shows at best you are either biased towards the HILLBILLY campaign; or in McCain's camp; or at worst you a closet racist organisation. Polls have a margin of error: superdelegates changing allegiance are facts.

Why did this major switch of support suddenly disappear from your news items?????

Yes we know you are human and have a sense of humor. Hope someone brings up the Paul vs Clinton thing there. I heard about it for the first time today, and read about this whole mess. Seems no one wants to talk about it in the media, it is amazing how the media protects the Clintons from exposure.

Oprah did what?

Seriously dude, you have to pay more attention. The almost 1.5 million people that have donated to the campaign deserved more respect.

At least, give him that, if you don't like him.

There are two contradicting force, one to make Obama a black candidate, a racist, on the other hand no he transcend race, let’s focus on our issue, we have so many issue to deal with. The choice is yours.

I'm waiting for someone to give me the top 10 reasons Hillary's upcoming trial is not in the media. Or the 10 ten reasons Hillary's former paster is on trial for child molestation and the media has not touched it. Or the 10 reasons the media haven't reported that Iran has filed an official complaint against Hillary for her threat to "obliterate" the country. Or the top ten reasons Mark Penn is still being paid by the Clintons. Oh the top ten reasons she insulted those serving who face real sniper fire. Oh yeah, the only reason…the media is biased.
