Schuler is a first term Democrat.

WASHINGTON (CNN) –- Former President Bill Clinton will attend Sunday church services with North Carolina Congressman and uncommitted Democratic superdelegate Heath Shuler in his district, CNN has learned.

Shuler, a freshman congressman, is expected to announce Monday that he will pledge his support to whichever Democratic candidate wins his district in Tuesday’s primary.

The former NFL quarterback represents North Carolina’s 11th congressional district, which encompasses Asheville and the rural areas west to the border with Tennessee.

Given the demographics of Shuler’s district, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) is predicted to win there on Tuesday. Shuler was heavily courted by President Clinton over the last several weeks. He also attended a meet and greet session at the Clintons’ Washington home earlier this spring.

Why isn't CNN understanding that there is a movement going on right now through all the web against the station's bias towards Clinton?

Why are you insisting in your Clinton bias, even as we writte?

Remember New mexico governor during super ball?
He saw through the lense of hypocrites who sells our goverment for $800000 to columbia.
No country for old men and no country for the Clintons!

Bob   May 3rd, 2008 9:46 pm ET

How many superdelegates did the Clintons loose over the weekend? I haven't seen Obama loose any. Wait till he annouce his support and then switch after church!

Dave   May 3rd, 2008 11:10 pm ET

It's going to go right down to the wire on Super delegates. I hope that the Clinton leverage of fear does not influence how the S delegates vote.. Vote out of conscience.. Vote for the good of America.. not out of fear of
Bill's supposed long arm… Some one needs to help Bill retire and get out of this race… that would mean giving your vote to Obama. Put an end to the Clinton tyranny. Clinton = NAFTA (&Columbia)

Jack   May 3rd, 2008 11:11 pm ET

Was Rev. Wright there?

Bob G.   May 3rd, 2008 11:12 pm ET

All superdelegates who are uncommitted should go to church and ask for divine providence to help them choose a President who will trust in God!

God Bless/Help America!!

Rob   May 3rd, 2008 11:19 pm ET

This is kinda hackneyed to handcuff a man and follow him around until he does your bidding. Real sophomoric.

Mauri   May 3rd, 2008 11:21 pm ET

No, Mike, the New Mexico governor was greasing the palm of one who can do him the most good — like make him veep. But the way the gov handled this has ditched whatever chance he may have had in ANY position. No one has yet to say how Mr. Obama is the agent of change when he's surrounded himself with former democratic president's cabinet officers, advisers and supporters that go all the way back to Jimmy Carter. That's change?? Sounds like Obama is what Rev. Wright says he is: a politician.

Eddie G   May 3rd, 2008 11:23 pm ET

Typical Clinton tactics…he is probably going to church to meet girls.

Shirley   May 3rd, 2008 11:24 pm ET

It figures. Shuler is a virtual Republican, and the Clintons have turned Republican to sew up the neanderthal, low IQ, WWF, NASCAR crowd.

What a bunch of pandering losers. I'm ashamed I supported Bill for two elections. He's gone low brow with his chamelion wife.

jack   May 3rd, 2008 11:25 pm ET

After this, pack and go back home!

j gannon   May 3rd, 2008 11:27 pm ET

God, Bill's nose is completely brown now!

Roger   May 3rd, 2008 11:28 pm ET

When asked when she goes to church, Hillary clearly stated that when she goes to church is not relevant in the election. Or is it relevant only when the Billarys are going after superdelegate votes? What hypocrites!!!

vicky   May 3rd, 2008 11:28 pm ET

It is not how the Clintons are going to win this election, it is why they should win and I see no reason why they should win, they are looking at voters through the lense of next elections which isn't what this election is about. Go home Clintons, it is over loosers!

bill promise him he will save 28dollars during the summer for gas

Sharon Minnesota   May 3rd, 2008 11:36 pm ET

Clinton's TEMPORARY MEASURES Gas Tax Relief Math:
Penny's add up fast

Long haul truckers = high mileage = diesel costs = big $$$$ = hauling market goods - oil companies pay tax = savings for consumers.

More??

Farmers = tractors, trucks and plows summer planting, plowing, harvesting = high usage of fuel = big $$$ = growing food for consumers = oil companies pay tax = consumers pay less for food.

More??

Airlines = Jet Fuel = big $$$ = high fares = oil companies pay tax = lower fares for customers.

Families = jobs = driving to work = summer vacations = trips to the lake/ocean = ball games = kids activities = teenage drivers = lots of gas = big $$$ = oil companies pay tax = savings for families

More??

Delivery drivers =pizza, various package deliveries, you fill in blanks = big $$$ = oil companies pay tax = savings for small business and corp. How many delivery trucks do you see on the road every day?

Oil companies can afford it we can't. We're going to have these services and usages all summer long so why not let the Oil Company pay the tax since we have already paid them huge subsidies. Oh yeah! I forgot they will threaten to raise the price. Well guess what, they will anyway. Don't give in to oil company terrorist threats

Think it through more thoroughly Mr. Obama. And as they say, put up or shut up. .

Well, lets look at it this way…they tell us the educated vote for Obama and the others vote for Clinton..I'd say that I'd think twice about voting for her since they have insulted the voters right up front. There are 15 reasons not to vote for her other than that
1.They hound Obama about Rezco, yet there are pics of the Clintons with him also
2.They hound him about Wright yet there was a time Bill consulted him for help also.
3.Bosnia LIES
4.Watergate scandal
5.Hillary's law work for walmart
6.Gas holiday phoney bologna(she won't be in office and can't do it anyway)
7.Hillary's elitist remarks to O'reilly
8.Slams Obama about Ayers but doesn't tell the public about their involvement with him.
9.the Lewinski scandal
10.Impeachment for lies
11.Nafta
12.Paul vs Clinton trial
13.Staff running out of them as well as some of their friends due to their behavior in this campaign
14.Poor management of campaign funds
15.Blatent disrespect of the democratic party and running mates.
Go ahead and google these then say you could honestly be happy with this millionaire running our country.I could vomit just at the sight of her alone.

maryland   May 3rd, 2008 11:42 pm ET

Have you ever wondered why people with college degree are not voting for Sen. Clinton? The reason is that they know she is lying must of the time. She is lying to those who are not informed of what is really going on and are not exposed to a lot of infomation about her. she will not be able to deliver on most of the plans and promises she is making. I believe Obamas problem is that he is too honest and most people can not deal with reality.

hillary is trying to pay shuler to vote for her. shuler do not take money from them. they think that the own america. clinton dinasty must end

Obama supports can't even spell 'lose' correctly. Sigh!

Guam was supposed to be Obama's winning post. Well he did win. Just by 0.01%.
This really explains why the dems wanted to continue the race, to bring out both candidates under the spot light and see who will really last.

Looks like Obama won't be able to keep up until November.

alice2   May 3rd, 2008 11:53 pm ET

I remember Richardson, N.M. Superdel, I am sure that Bill Clinton has the same thing in mind for this one. After the way Hillary has been so negative in her campaigning of trying to derstroy Barack & in doing so is tearing down the Dem Party, I do not see how he can support Hillary. I am sure that is what Bill is about right now. I hope the Superdel does not let himself do it. Would someone out there talk further about the first comment re "not to be posted" the bias re Clinton? , etc.

polly h   May 4th, 2008 12:03 am ET

like I say two months ago obama will win but you know what if all obama supporters believe he is telling the truth then you tell me that Wright didn't preach like he did but obama didn't turn his back on him until he had to politic so what does obama really belive. He is supposed to be honest well he voted for gas break before what about that. Obama has lose some support now he is going negative but they call it telling the truth. Obama says that Washington need to change but change requires more then speeches, putting other people down, it means creating new changes and new ideas. So we will see. Also I can't believe if Obama really cares about Americans then way doesn't florida and michigan they don't count because it could he might lose. So you tell me how he is different then washington because just giving speeches

Donna   May 4th, 2008 12:03 am ET

My dear Democrats,

The facts are that your country is in big trouble, the biggest since I can't remember when. Your economy is in a shambles, you are in a conflict you cannot win (again). Are you really willing to trust the future on a very junior senator with no record, no experience and a dubious past?

While Mr. Obama is indeed charismatic and a great orator, what happens when it gets down to the real work of enacting legislation? You as citizens need to know that January 1st, 2009, you have made the best possible choice for your next commander in chief. You need to know that the person who sits in the Oval office is the best qualified individual for the job. It frightens me to think that at this crucial juncture in your history, you may make a choice based on "change" over substance. You all really need to think this through, carefully.

I keep going back to the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Obama sat in this church for 20 years, listened to the rhetoric of Reverend Wright, and still did not get up and leave. I cannot believe that you folks are so gullible to a speech, after the fact, that excuses the Obamas for not taking a stand sometime in the last 20 years of their spiritual life.

I am proud to live a a racially diverse nation, in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Do we always get along? Probably not. I do have to say though that we are not plagued with racial strife and it does not factor into our federal or provincial elections. I spend about 4 months a year living in California and am dismayed at the tone of this campaign. This primary has been all about race and divisive politics, but as an interested observer and avid political junkie, I find the most negative rhetoric coming from the Obama camp. Talk about spin…

I know you are thinking this is none of my business. But I cannot help but wonder just what the criteria is for entrusting your great nation to a candidate with no experience, an agent of change who cannot even muster up the courage to debate the other side? What is going on here? This is the most important job in the world, or at least it used to be. Please think about this and elect the candidate who truly has the vision and fortitude to lead this great country out of the abyss it has now found itself in. While Mrs. Clinton has certainly had her share of faux pas this year, she has the resolve, knowledge and chutzpah to get the USA back on track. Make the sound choice… get America back to the powerhouse it once was.

Dick in Sioux Falls   May 4th, 2008 12:04 am ET

Yes, I've repeated myself 3 times now, but the truth has not yet appeared at all. What gives? Bush would veto any legislation that would cost the Oil Companies, so Hillary's promise to charge the Tax Relief to them is dead in the water!

Herman in LA   May 4th, 2008 12:04 am ET

A Little History on this Year Presidential Race.

Hillary will lose out on two ends let me explain why thanks to Bill Clinton and the DNC. The democrat national committee knew Hillary was a polarizing figure to the American people and had lots of baggage that would be used against her in had she won the nomination for president and was their first choice and they the DNC had built this years election process around her.

The DNC knew about Barack Obama when he gave his speech in 2004 and several high profile people including the Clinton's wanted Barack Obama to wait and run for president "8″ eight years from now giving HRC a straight shot at wining the White house in 08 because they new the republicans would not have a chance in hell of taking the office again after a Bush administration.

Now here is why Hillary will lose out on two ends, she could have had the chance to become the 1st women president of the United States Or 2nd The first women to become the 1st Vice President of the United States. Now she will lose out on both because she chose to run her campaign like a republican which could potentially damage the DNC.

It is shamefull for Bill to put himself so low just to get his wife elected. This can be term political prostitution. Watching football together, going to church together!!. how many time has he gone to church with him before this race.

I cannot believe what is happening to our dear ex-president

Rebecca   May 4th, 2008 12:20 am ET

I think everybody has forgotten that there are almost 300 superdelegates who have yet to pledge their support to Obama or Clinton. If Obama had this all wrapped up he'd have those 300 superdelegate votes. Obviously they are waiting and holding off on pledging to anyone. If the remaining superdelegates believed that Obama could win the general election they would have already committed to him. They are undecided because they haven't seen a true frontrunner in this race yet. It's still pretty close.

I really wish the media would stop referring to Bill Clinton as "President Clinton." Those days are over with thank God. Having said that-the Clinton's are so pathetic it takes three of them to compaign against one person or as they like to refer to him as "just a junior senator. I hope this superdelegate goes against them just like others have done. I am so sick of the Clinton's forcing themselves on us as if THEY are the only family capable of running the WH.

Big Al   May 4th, 2008 12:30 am ET

That is what the citizens of America is showing the media, we see you bias and we are rebelling against such blatant negative reporting toward our next president of America, Hillary R. Clinton.

And the best part, in the end, is that despite all the media power through TV, radio, newspaper and even the internet, we see and yet we know the power still remains with us, in the voting polls.

Hillary R. Clinton will be our next president, and we the citizens of America approve this message….

How much research have you done since Rev Wright spoke out. How much are you willing to do??Or would you remain in denial if your closest counterpart were to reveal some of these trues to you. It sounds ugly, how would it feel to experience any of it? Wisdom is only for the wise!
Barack had no extended family close by so he adopted some. What would you do? Hillary shows you every day who she is. listen and read, you'll be surprise to the all that made her who she is and it all ain't pretty. ie: lies and twist the trues, greed just like the rest supremist folks(elitist)! Twenty years is nothing compared to 'All of your Life', generations of it….not to mention the conservatives Republican (so called Christian) theology eras…

It is time for the Clintons to Pucker Up!!! This will be the only way the nomination gets handed to them. With all the lies and deceit that they have going on, I can't believe many Americans feel that she is best suited for the job. No wonder this country is going deeper in the gutter.

Dan   May 4th, 2008 12:49 am ET

I love all Americans, really, I do. I do pitty some of you, though on a lack of critical thinking skills. This especially applies to "GoHillary", a pro-Hillary blogger from another one of the previous message boards. She said that we are lying because we think the proposal of a "gas tax holiday"is a horrible idea and is an effort to merely pander. This blogger mentions the "windfall profits tax" that Obama supports as well. What this blogger fails to realize is that Hillary Clinton is NOT AN EMPRESS. She can't just wave a wand and make it magically happen. What do you think that the "climate change doesn't exist and that the oil companies are NOT ripping us off crowd" in Congress led by Alaska's Ted Stevens and James Inhoffe are going to do with that proposal? Just say, "Okay"?
They are gonna filabuster and filabuster until the issue is dropped. And even if they can be outmaneuvred…HILLARY HAS ALREADY PROMISED THAT THE PROCEEDS FROM ANY WINDFALL PROFITS TAX ON THE OIL COMPANIES WILL GO TO ALTERNATIVE ENERGY RESEARCH. SHE IS SPENDING THE SAME $9 BILLION TWICE!!!!!

Stumping in church, stumping on the back of a pick-up truck, have these people no shame left? I once respected and defended the Clintons; never again.

There is something very wrong going on with our "free press": not one mention of the Paul v Clinton suit anywhere. It is extremely disturbing. I do believe they are gearing up to rob Obama of the nomination. Remember, he is about cleaning up Washington politics and the media are part of Washington politics…there's a lot more money in staying dirty.

Paula in WI   May 4th, 2008 12:50 am ET

she would have to take everywhere left by 70% for a convincing argument and that won't happen. She's just handing this contest to the republicans. Those superdelegates want to get re-elected and if they upset the popular vote, they can kiss politics goodbye. Also, even if you count the fl votes, she is still behind.

Obama offers nothing but a lot of pretty words and hot air….and the 'audacity of hype.' He has four fatal flaws…..no experience, no substance, no character, no judgment.

The only vote I would give to Obama is the vote of…..NO CONFIDENCE.

Trenton Sims, Los Angeles   May 4th, 2008 1:07 am ET

HELLARY CANT DO ANYTHING BY NEXT MONTH.. SHE IS JUST ONE SENATOR. NOT THE ENTIRE CONGRESS. AND NEVER WILL BE PRESIDENT..
EVEN IF SHE COULD SOMEHOW MAGICALLY AS A SENATOR MAKE HER FAIRYTALE GAS TAX HOLIDAY COME TRUE….THE OIL COMPANIES WILL JUST ADD ANOTHER .18 CENTS TO THE PRICE.
WHEN ARE YOU GONNA WAKE UPAN REALIZE OBAMA IS RIGHT ..
WE MUST LEGISLATE ACROSS THE ISLE..TO STOP THE GOUGING BY THE OIL COMPANIES..
THEY'RE CHARGING WHATEVER PRICE THEY WANT.
THEY SIMPLY PICK THE PROFIT MARGIN THEY WANT..AND TACK IT ON TO WHATEVER THE COST IS..
THERE IS NO SUPPLY & DEMAND IN THE PICTURE. THEY DON'T WANNA BUILD MORE REFINERIES.. THAT WILL COST THEM $ AND INCREASE THE SUPPLIES WHICH WOULD THEORETICALY MAKE IT LESS EXPENSIVE FOR US ALL. BUT WHY WOULD THEY SPEND MONEY SO THAT WE ALL CAN SAVE AT THE PUMP.? THEY WOULD ALSO CHARGE US MORE PER GALLON TO RECOUP THE COST OF THE NEW REFINERIES..
THE CURRENT REFINERIES ARE ALREADY DEPRECIATED TAX WISE AND LONG SINCE PAID FOR. THEIR OVERHEAD NO LONGER INVOLVES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS OR EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT OR PROCESSING PLANT INFRSTRUCTURE. THEIR BIGGEST EXPENSE IS WAGES.
QUESTION: IF OIL COST MORE, THEN WHY DOES THEIR PROFIT CLIMB BY RECORD AMOUNTS EVERY QUARTER ..
AS I SAID THEY SIMPLY MAINTAIN WHAT EVER PROFIT PERCENTAGE THAT THEY CHOSE TO ENJOY . SO NO MATTER WHAT A BARREL OF OIL COSTS..THEY ARE GUARANTEED THE SAME/+ PROFIT BECAUSE WE WILL PAY WHATEVER THEY CHARGE US.
THAT IS WHAT BARACK WANTS TO CHANGE. MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO GOUGE US. FEDERAL PRICE CONTROLS. NOT TAXING THEM MORE.. WE THE CONSUMERS NEVER PUT THAT $ IN OUR POCKETS ANYWAYS, SO MORE TAXING OR LESS TAXING IS POINTLESS. WE ARE THE ONES WHO ULTIMATELY PAY THE TAX..NOT THE OIL COMPANIES.
BUT A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY EARNED.
NATIONALIZING PETROLEUM AND GREEN FUELS IS THE ULTIMATE WAY TO CONTROL PRICES. WE CAN PUT FOWLKES TO WORK BUILDING U.S. GOVERNMENT REFINERIES. AND CREATE PERMANENT GOV'T JOBS JUST LIKE THE POST OFFICE AND GSA.
AND LET THE OIL COMPANIES BEGG US TO BUY THEIR FUEL.. :)
CONTINUE TO SWITCH FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO HYBRIDS GRADUALLY JUST LIKE VENEZUELA & BRAZIL HAVE.
BYE BYE SAUDIS….:p BYE BYE SHELL & EXXON
HELLO LOW LOW FUEL COSTS.. ;)
WE GET TO USE A NEW LOWER PROFIT LIKE THE OIL COMPANIES USED TO EARN AND A NEWER LOWER TAX FOR NATIONWIDE INFRASTRUCTURE.. HEY ..EVEN HEALTHCARE.:):) :)

I am an Obama supporter, but I do not understand why folks feel the need to be so shrill and downright 'mean.' Bill Clinton has 'stepped on it' more than once during this campaign, but he has every right to work hard for the candidate he supports … who is also his wife.

Guys, barring another serious flap on the order of 'Wright,' it is all but over. It is time now to 'pull ranks,' and become a real team. And by the way, if it went the other way, (and if by chance Hillary defies all odds,) I'll keep registering voters, organizing and attending rallies, and anything else 'value added' that I am asked to do … within my power and schedule.

So, rather than trying to be cute on blogs, why don't you folks take the time and make the effort to provide 'value' to this election cycle on behalf of Democrats.

As most of you already know, Barack Obama has gotten himself into another controversy regarding his apparent arrogance and apathy towards regular Americans. In a private and well shrouded fundraiser amongst the rich elite of San Francisco, and in the mansion of Pakistan native and ardently Muslim millionaire Sohaib Abbasi (CEO of Informatica), Obama was recorded saying: “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” In the same speech, Obama is also recorded as saying that: “When people tell me they’ve all stressed about racial discord, well, you know, try slavery for a while,” obviously playing on the sentiments of these highly affluent (White and Arab) people who would basically presume that if you have dark skin in America you must therefore be connected in some way to slavery, although, as we all know, this is CLEARLY not the case.

Here we go again…the Clinton's feigning friendship in an effort to garner superdelegate votes. So pitiful!

marie   May 4th, 2008 1:28 am ET

superdelegates are just waiting to endorse Hillary. After she wins in Indiana and North Carolina, they will have more reason to say she is the most electable!! You go, Bill!!! Keep working!! HILLARY 08

Mike in NYC   May 4th, 2008 1:29 am ET

Mary wrote:

"Good for you Bill, look to see Obama lose North Carolina."

He definitely won't lose NC — Clinton would have to win five out of six non-black votes for that to happen — but if he doesn't win it by double digits, he's got problems.

This point is no doubt lost on BO's misty-eyed legions.

adam goodman   May 4th, 2008 1:30 am ET

demand the truth about Peter Paul scandal. youtube it and google it.

SO SAD MARY   May 4th, 2008 1:33 am ET

Mary you are the typical uneducated clinton supporter. You better vote for Obama , so you can learn how to spell North Carolina, and learn how to write. As far as I know, clinton doesn't have a education plan. Please listen to the news so you can use you mind, and not be taken for wind fall of lies.

Pat   May 4th, 2008 1:37 am ET

Bill Clinton, if you're fighting so hard for Hillary to essentially have your own third term, be aware that if she wins; she will no longer need you for a thing!

It's also true that you two should have had a "pre-nuptial"…. since most of the millions were earned by you!

Tanis   May 4th, 2008 1:37 am ET

Great Bill–Hill's going to win the state!!
GO HILLARY CLINTON!!! GO AWAY BARACK OBAMA!

Will do anything   May 4th, 2008 1:38 am ET

Once again the Clintons will do anything with anybody. Bill needs to stay the heck out of this race. we are not voting for a tag team.

Park More, New Orleans   May 4th, 2008 1:38 am ET

Hillary is very agressive with a tremdendous perseverance + the huge and excellent experience. We need a president from day 1 and not to start to learn……. Situation is critical and I am positively confident that Hillary will fixit

FRANCES HICKS   May 4th, 2008 1:39 am ET

UNDER THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES AS OBAMA HILLARY MIGHT HAVE VERY WELL STAYED IN WRIGHT'S CHURCH AS OBAMA DID,. THOUSANDS OF WOMEN IN AMERICA HAVE SAID THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE STAYED WITH BILL CLINTON AFTER MONICA,, THE LIES, AND THE IMPEACHMENT LIKE HILLARY DID. WHO IS SHE TO JUDGE OBAMA?

Ablho   May 4th, 2008 1:40 am ET

Hillary cannot win nomination unless she wins all remaining contests by a margin of 39% (not 9.4% she got in Pennsylvania). That means, unless Hillary wins North Carolina and Indiana by 38% (that is 69% to 31%) in order to show any hope of winning Democratic nomination. Its time for Hillary to stop dreaming this year.

Martin   May 4th, 2008 1:40 am ET

I'd be looking very, very closely at voter fraud if Obama doesn't win NC.

ABC=Anybody But Clinton   May 4th, 2008 1:41 am ET

Can anybody spell that is posting here???

Ann   May 4th, 2008 1:41 am ET

Maybe Bob needs to learn to spell lose before he criticizes Hillary. Hillary will win NC - Obama is losing ground.

Ishrat Ahmad   May 4th, 2008 1:46 am ET

Isnt it the prerogative of an American to attend church with whoever he wants to?Why does every action of the Clintons get twisted and distorted?I truly believe as an international observor that Clinton has weathered many storms and is ready having proved her grit and determination to lead the nation.Well if Obama can do the same is yet to be seen

Ablho   May 4th, 2008 1:48 am ET

Hillary 2016.

Henry   May 4th, 2008 1:52 am ET

It is noteworthy that at this point the Obama supporters are wary of everything that they perceived is against their rock star candidate…well folks, the honeymoon's over..this is the REAL thing and looks like your candidate is showing the stuff he's really made of. Obama just can't and will not close the deal for you.

Ablho   May 4th, 2008 1:52 am ET

Hillary's chances of winning are diminishing by each day. Hillary need to win all the remaining contests by getting at least 70% of the popular vote.

Its time for DNC and Superdelegates to end this bickering and lies from Hillary before President Bush hands over the keys to John McCain.

Right wing groups have all of a sudden befriended with HRC so that they could destroy the democratic party and diminish any chance for Obama to win come November.

Raindog   May 4th, 2008 1:53 am ET

Good for you Bill… Just remember not everyone is a turncoat fairweather friend like Richardson. I am sure the sermon you hear will not be anything like that which Obama listened to for twenty years…oh I forgot he never heared any of those from Rev Wright…Yeah right. Hope Mr Shuler comes out for Hillary…Since Obama can't win in the general election.

Laurie   May 4th, 2008 1:54 am ET

Hillary has had a net gain of 3 superdelegates since Thursday.

nobama   May 4th, 2008 1:56 am ET

why is it that many BO bots keep saying its because white people wont vote for a black man look at the black vote he has won. maybe its the black vote wont vote for a white woman when a black man is there other choice thats a bias………..

Matthew   May 4th, 2008 1:58 am ET

Hillary was aked by the press who her favorite horse was for the Kentucky Derby and she had stated "The fillie" (a reference to her perhaps?)

Eight Belles, a fillie, finishes second and breaks both front ankles and is euthanized on the track of Churchill Downs.

If Hillary broke both her canckles, they could just drain them and provide enough gravey for 1000 people for 6 months.

Who is Huma Abedin?

shaun   May 4th, 2008 2:02 am ET

First the super bowl, now church…what slimy political trick will the clintons try next to get a vote?

You will not stop obama 08-16

Mike   May 4th, 2008 2:03 am ET

Hillary we love you, keep hitting obama.

McCain 08

Pat   May 4th, 2008 2:05 am ET

Its so very odd that the difference between Obama's superdelegate count and Clinton's superdelegate count hovers right around 22 at all times; his come and hers go….but he never gets closer than 22 or so!

Hillary, just scrub off the make-up; get yourself some blue and black men's suits; cut your hair shorter and slick it straight back; put on a white shirt, tie and men's shoes; and go on and seal the deal. You would then be everything that the country wants.

We all know that you have the "testicular fortitude"!

Mia and Mike   May 4th, 2008 2:05 am ET

There he goes again, trying to suck up to whomever can call him in a favor at the moment; and church of all places…

Linda, fl   May 4th, 2008 2:07 am ET

well.
Maybe it is even more importand to know when Bill usually visits restroom?
The most important info for US right NOW.

It is a shame, CNN, to keep Wright's portrait on the first page of Your site for so many days.
We are T I R E D of that

eric from canada   May 4th, 2008 2:10 am ET

the opportunist of bill shame on you you just want his support.

Belle   May 4th, 2008 2:12 am ET

Obama supporters…..

You did NOT mind the posts against Senator Clinton! You did not mind the slanted journalism against Clinton…..so suck it up….

As for Guam. THERE ARE 4 PRIMARIES previously that do NOT count the popular vote, only the delegate vote. That is why Obama won by 7 delegates.

Obama was expected to win Guam handily because he had a staff on the Island 3 MONTHS prior to the primary. Clinton did not have a staff or office on Guam. It is a poor showing for Obama, but I DO agree, a win is a win….

However….it also shows how very split the vote is. 50.1 to 49.9…please don't spin this into he is killing Clinton….but say, if Obama or Clinton were to go Independant, and make this the three way vote for President…we can drag on the Presidential race just like the Primaries!

QuietStormX   May 4th, 2008 2:14 am ET

Hmmmm… Heath Schuler, I thought he was smart? Backing the Clinton's is looking in the wrong direction. The people want to look forward not backward with Hillary and Bill again. This gas tax suspension issue should have given him some idea Hillary is pandering and has no chance of getting the nomination or election. District or State, I'll see who he supports then…. Ex Washington Redskin…..

Washington, D.C.

Belle   May 4th, 2008 2:15 am ET

PS
Since the DNC is determined NOT to have a joint ticket….why not just put all three names on the ballot in November, and let the voters decide? That way we can see who REALLY won in MI and FL!

Paula in WI   May 4th, 2008 2:17 am ET

This is a joke-will he fall asleep in this church too?

Susan,NC   May 4th, 2008 2:19 am ET

Tom Hanks just endorsed Barack Obama yahooooo!!!!!!!

Ozz, La, CA...   May 4th, 2008 2:22 am ET

The Clintons, Wife and Husband/McCain, all (3) of them running to get Senator Obama out of the race for the White House, and Senator Obama is still ahead of them all. What a joke for the Clinton's/McCain.

The Clinton's/McCain need to read the bible, from GENESES to REVELATION'S. And while Mr. Clinton is in church he should ask the pastor to see if he can change the revelation that is in REVELATION'S, knowing that they are on their way to HELL, because this is the begening of the 250 years that must be completed by the designed of GOD master plan that started from GENESES. Ponderers, what a shame". Senator Obama is part of GOD master plan. Pastors and preachers know that.

God bless Senator Obama.

La, CA…..

julie   May 4th, 2008 2:28 am ET

Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our family is all voting for you. You are ready to lead our country. No matter what happens, you are always our number one. Obama I'm sorry but you lost our trust and our faith to believe in you. You will never get our family vote.

TERESA   May 4th, 2008 2:33 am ET

If all the Superdelegates gave their vote to whoever won their state then HILLARY CLINTON would be way ahead …
She has WON all the BIG STATES , the states that are going to actually MATTER during the MAIN ELECTION .
Obama cant win the ones the DEMOCRATS will need …
Hillary Clinton is also leading in the POPULAR VOTE ..which includes Michigan and Florida and no matter what the OBAMA people think , FLORIDA and MICHIGAN will count, and during the MAIN ELECTION they will count too …

PV PATCH   May 4th, 2008 2:34 am ET

Bill, going to church to talk to God, is great. Going to church to sell or try to buy someone is a NO NO [sin].

TYPICAL WHITE MALE from Michigan   May 4th, 2008 2:35 am ET

From the TYPICAL WHITE MALE from Michigan who is CLINGING to his BEER CAN. Wonder if Obama the elitist ever had a Beer can in his hand — we sure do no he has never had a Bowling Ball in his hand. Of course who has the time for Beer and Bowling when you are listening to all of those anti-American remarks from his "MENTOR" Reverend Wright. Obama should run for Mayor of San Francisco — he can bring his Buddy Larry Sinclair with him. Go President Clinton - you have the GIFT to sway these Superdelegates. We in Michigan are behind you — remember the state that Obama said could not have a re-vote — thank you Mr. Obama — if you are the Nom. McCain gets my vote — You are way to the Left — almost falling off, and if you were any more Liberal you could walk on water.

dave   May 4th, 2008 2:40 am ET

irrespective of who won the Guam caucus this weekend, something is really screwey in Dodge when the Island ELECTS 4 delegates but also has 5 UNELECTED superDels….. imagine a new US congress with 400 elected Reps, and 500 unelected reps named by big business, banks, labor unions, community groups, etc…. something is really screwey in the DEMS rules if this type of situation is allowed to occur…… very UNDEMOCRATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mccain/rice08!
