(CNN) - It appears the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination is tightening up in North Carolina.
A new CNN poll of polls released Sunday suggests Senator Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has the support of 50 percent of likely Democratic primary voters in North Carolina, with 42 percent backing Senator Hillary Clinton, D-New York, and 8 percent still undecided.
This eight point Obama margin is down from a nine point lead Obama held in Saturday’s CNN poll of polls and down from his recent double digit lead in the state.
187 delegates are up for grabs when North Carolina and Indiana hold primaries on Tuesday.
The CNN poll of polls is an average of the latest surveys in the state.

If it is 8%...then NC might become a tie, like Guam....there are 500 spoiled ballots in the largest village of Guam...so Clinton could wind up winning in the recount!

CNN, I'm not sure what the point of this story is. Really, can you tell me? Obama will win NC by double digits and I mean real double digits not 9.3...lol...He may also win IN....now if he wins both, will the media finally admit to the American electorate that CLINTON HAS ALREADY LOST????
Shame on you CNN. No matter what you do, Hillary will not get the nomination at this point. The superdelegates know better that giving Hillary the nomination will destroy the party for a long time.

I think the words under the picture should say " A new CNN Poll of Polls shows Clinton gaining in North Carolina" since Obama's lead is down from 9 to 8 percent.
Why do you guys (CNN) keep doing this with the polls? We know that Obama is going to win in NC, but saying that Hillary might have a chance when she doesn't makes no since at all. I wonder why Obama didn't get the same press in PA?

That's amazing. Considering how Obama is outspending Clinton by huge amounts of money. Also considering how over 90% of African Americans seem to be voting principally on skin color and not on experience or issues. Given those factors, Obama needs a huge double digit victory in NC otherwise it's a big loss for Obama.
