As A catholic, I can only speak for my own faith. We are taught that abortion and birth control are forbidden. we should live by the ten commandments, we are not supposed to divorce.
I wonder why the world isn't a better place if everyone who is going to church is clinging to what their priests or preachers are preaching. Before you vote, examine your own conscious, and if you truly believe that you are practicing your faith to the fullest and doing everything you hve heard from your priests or pastors or preachers, then you have the right to judge Senator Obama's relationship with his pastor.
Try to put aside race, gender and vote based on who you think is truly the candidate that is really concerned about the people and where we are going and who is in this just to win.
We are voting for our future and the future of our children, this is too important a decision to be fighting over.

Obama is not responsible of what Rev Wright says, nor do I believe he shares the same views. The problem is he says he is bringing change. He says many of us are caught up in the views of the sixties and he is bringing a new view which will unite. Yet he had this guy as an advisor who is stuck in that radical viewpoint. A lot of us know people, who we are friendly with whose views we may think is a little extreme. It may not stop us from being friendly, but if we were running for anything we would not have this person as an advisor . Obama had to be aware of all of Wright's views, he just took a chance on it not turning on him. Maybe he wanted the support of those who shares Wrights point of view on the QT.

HILLARY JUMPS ON ANY PLAN THAT SHE FEELS WILL GET HER VOTES. SHE TOOK JOHN MCCANES GAS TAX IDEA AND USED IT AS HER OWN. PEOPLE SHOULD SEE THAT IT WILL COST JOBS . SHE PLATFORMS ON JOBS, JOBS, AND MORE JOBS. IF SHE HAD A PLAN OF HER OWN HER BRAINS WOULD EXPLODE. I AM CHANGING MY VOTE TO THE MAN THAT TELLS IT LIKE IT IS "OBAMA" SHARON IN LOUISVILLE

I can't imagine a grown man attending the same church for 20years and not being awared to all the hate that his preacher was preaching. Now i understand Obama , according to him he was listening only to the good preaching and not to the hate preaching, well just like Rev. Wright said ,"Obama is a politician and he will say what politicians say to get elected".Obama is a man with poor judgement and divisive beliefs. If this man hasn't change himself ,how can he change this country.

Barack Obama appears to be taking a line from George Bush in reguard to his opinion on the gas relieve. Like in the Iraq war, "We must stay the course." No gas tax relief. Speaking of the war, Obama was not even in the senate at that time. He really doesn't know for sure how he would VOTE under the same circumstances. He blows a lot of nothing.

Somewhere there is a science that reads peoples expressions and mannerisms that indicates how people process the world around them. As individuals, we "sense" this body language. I see Barack Obama in the photo above as a visionary, looking to the futurem looking for solutions - and I see H Clinton feeling attacked, and with distain, she needs to defend herself. We need wisdom and healing in this country, no more fighting everyone that doesn't agree with us.

Democrats are doomed to loose the elections in November. Unless? All that, thanks to Hillary. No matter what happened she cann't properly win the nomination because the numbers are not on her side Unless it were to be stolen from Obama in which case scenario would definitely turn off most of the Obama's supporters including the Obama strong base; black voters( Democrats strong base too) and young voters. As an Obama supporter, i frankly beleive that Obama has been critically hurt during this longlasting primary due to the recent controversies and to the negative attacks by both campaign.
Either case scenario, democrats will come out with a weak candidates against Jonh Mccain.
Democrarts in Indianna and N.C it's up to you guys to put an end to that.

Jon- What an arrogant post. Most of my friends and coworkers support Clinton. We are all professionals who don't see value in such comments and are quite frankly tired of hearing how Clinton supporters are uneducated. I follow the political process carefully and the more I see of Obama, the more I have fear of his indecisiveness and lofty talk. Most of the posts I read from Obama supporters are immature and offer to the conversation.

No CNN, you cannot conclude that the race is "tightening" merely because of a one-percent fluctuation in the so-called "poll of polls," when the polls themselves are only accurate to within 4 percentage points.

Didn't anyone at CNN every take a course in statistics?

Hillary will lose both Indiana and North Carolina, and then maybe she will do us all a favor and take a bow. Out.

when you think about voting for clinton, think about this:
peter paul vs clinton

white gate- bill and his adulterous behavior

travel gate - when the clintons fired several of the people in his administration and gave those jobs to family and friends.

catle gate- when hilliary and bill committed fraud against those small business owners and took their life savings, whenothers invested theire retirement was taken and some of these people committed suicide.

last but not least when 900 hundred files went missing out of the white house when bill was impeached. so all of you hilliary supporters do our research. the clintons are still being investigated for corruption.

Why does this not surprise me? I mean, voters gave Bush a second term, and look how that has turned out! I know that change can be scary, but it can also be enlightening, powerful, and downright positive. Let's not repeat the Clinton years, years of partisan gridlock, high price sleepovers and scandals, or the Bush years (McCain). Let's give the brilliant new guy a shot. He can only bring the country up!

Obama, his preacher and his wife have caused more hate between blacks and whites than ever before. He is not uniting us at all, he has created such a divide that it will take years to get over. I rather have four more year of Bush than all this hatred.

Character counts. Much more so in the President. If Obama participated in Wright's church for twenty (2) years he can not say that he did not know. Obama is lying and denouncing his spiritual and inspirational leader (as he himself says in his book) just for political expediency. Obama turned against his own for personal gain. Character counts !!

Hillary,
just LIES, LIES, LIES

Did hear her speak today. Nothing but lies and promises she can't give. Healthcare. She failed that in 1992. Gas tax. She won't even be president to authorize it. Keep believing in all her empty promises. She gives what she gets….nothing!

Biased, biased, biased!!! Shame on you CNN. You are on the wrong side of history with your Hilary. You have been writing negative stories on Obama even when convention wisdom, demands that there is nothing negative to write home about. You need to back to journalism schools. What a way to finish yourselves. Publish this if you have any decency.

Senator Obama ought not to count his chickens before they hatch. It appears to me that the voters have taken a better look at both candidates and decided that Senator Clinton has the knowledge, the experience, and the toughness to go up against Senator McCain in the fall. What Senator Clinton does not have is a lot of bad friends that can be used in a "swift boat" type ad in the fall. Senator Obama won the caucuses early on because none of the bad stuff was known at the time. Had the voters known then what they know now, he would be out of the race already. Senator Clinton is the best nominee for the Democratic Party and the voters are now acknowledging this fact.

Why won't CNN post my comments
Goodness..

It appear that the public needs to know that Hillary is not letting people know she is a lier..

New lie being told is she was a Colts fan years ago.. She is telling the IN people that she has always been a colts fan, her grandfather took her to the games in IN. Her grand father must have been rich, because he took her all across the country!
Because years ago they were in Baltimore!

If only everyone knew the truth about the Rev. Wright / Clinton plan to defeat Obama. I have listened to the entire Rev. Wright sermon that began all of this controversy. During this sermon. Rev. Wright extolls the virtues of the Clintons. He never mentions Obama. Rev. Wright loves the Clintons. He was their counselor and honored White House guest when Bill was President. Wake up America! Rev. Wright is purposely trying to derail the Obama campaign to elect his hero Hillary Clinton. This shamefull scam that the Clintons and Rev. Wright are perpetrating against an honerable man and potentially great President Obama is possible because the American media are a bunch of sheep who follow Hillary’s cues. A tiny bit of real jounalism would have quickly exposed this devious tactic by the Clintons to have their close confidant play the fool and link his idiocy unfairly to Obama.

I already voted early for Hillary, been making phone calls a month now for Hillary, and have yet to hear very many voters at all for Obama.
He is not trustworthy, never directly answers a question.
Has over played his race card. Is disrespectful of women, has no platform to stand on. Hillary has been fighting her whole life for kids and healthcare, he comes along in this race and takes her healthcare plan but leaves people out and tha makes him the savior?
I don't think so, and North Carolina WILL NOT be so NAIVE as VA, and SC. We're tossing him right out of our oven, like TN!

People read this before voting. Not only does she lie, but here is a lawsuit all about the Clinton machine. After reading about this law suit. Go Obama!!

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.

According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.

For all you who think that Obama is so great...his only legislation sent $15 million of your tax dollars to the Congo. As for his Reverend, please do not be so stupid to think anyone would hold him responsible for what the Reverend says - we hold him responsible for be irresponsible for exposing his children to such hatred, for condoning racism and anti-american sentiment, for maintaining a personal relationship exhibiting such poor judgment and last, but not least, for not having the balls to take care of the 'problem' a year ago.

If that is the way Senator Obama makes decisions on tough issues - the entire US would be obliterated before it would dawn on him that something was wrong!

You can't have it both ways. If you're happy with the government we have in Washington, D.C.........................vote for Clinton or McCaine. They've been there close to thirty years apiece.

If you're sick of the politicians in Washington and want a CHANGE, vote for Obama.

We're running out of time and opportunity to finally get this country back for the 'average' people.

Go Obama!!!

Clinton or Obama? The result is the same...

SOCIALISM here we come.....lets set the tax rate at 68% for the most productive members of our society and give it all to the people that live off taxation.

wow great change

Adios America

I believe Obama has the right plan for the gas tax. He and his campaign advisors listened to top economists. He is also talking from experience. This did not work in Illinois. He voted for a gas tax holiday there and 6 months later, realized it did not work. That is EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And experience where it truly impacts our current economic problem. His plan would be for long term resolutions.

So folks complaining about Clinton's gas plan must be those who insist on paying the highest prices possible and go out of their way to do so! This is not about pandering but about giving short term relief where it counts the most. Think about prices of food and commodities on the rise everywhere because the cost of transportation (read: fuel) is going up everywhere.

For Jon, the white male in NC who says almost no one is for HRC, and the few that are are uneducated, etc.

I am a highly educated white male here in Charlotte, employed by the local utility to help run a nuclear reactor. I follow politics quite closely, and I voted for Hillary Clinton. I simply refuse to cast a vote for someone I do not believe, and that is the case with Barack Obama. I am sure a lot of educated people are voting for each candidate, and have their own opinions. I certainly would not call someone uneducated just because they do not vote for my candidate...that would tend to make ME look uneducated by saying it.

So, I suggest you think about your generalizations before you hit SEND next time.

Anyone but Obama for '08

I agree with the comment posted 'GIVE PEACE A CHANCE". Obama continually shows his common sense, professional poise & judgement, and ability to lead us to a new and uplifting time in this, our country, the great U.S. of A. - before it is too late!!!

Hillary is a typical lying politician who claims experience because she "lived" in the White House for 8 years and she is a NYS Senator (who has done absolutely NOTHING for this State; unless you consider higher taxes and loss of jobs something) She outright lied to Cleveland claiming things she did in Buffalo that she did not.

Her joke of the gas tax holiday will save us pennies compared to the millions it will cost us later. You already can't drive down our roads and we drive over bridges in fear of them collasping! Way to go Hillary! ha! Your support of a tax holiday will not prevent the oil companies from rasing their prices anyway.

Fellow Amercians, please open your eyes and uncover your ears. Read between the lines and don't fall for more of the same corrupt political tactics.

Nice try, "Abdula". Next time you try to smear Obama by pretending to be a radical African-American, don't make it so obvious.

Hillary is the best canidate for the democratic party. Obama is not seasoned enough, and I still find it very hard to believe that he was not inflluenced by his Pastor. You can not sit through 20 years of radical sermons wtihout agreeing with much of the material. Wake up Obama supporters, he is not what this Country needs. I garauntee that if the primaries were re-done today, Obama would be losing by huge numbers. His popularity is already declined significantly.

Go Hilllary I have been with you since the beginning and will support you all the way to the whitehouse.

How to judge the NC results:

Single-digit BO victory = BO defeat.

A Clinton win is impossible. The black vote will give BO 36-38% outright, so he only needs one out of five non-AA votes to win.

If the margin stays in single digits, the demographics will cast serious doubt on BO's electability.

If Clinton takes IN, and if the NC margin ends up even narrower, say 6 or 7 percent, the dynamics of this race will change dramatically.

For Abdulah Johnson, DC:
Thank you for your racial slams in your comment and exhibiting not only your bias, but an insight into your motivation. It has all too familiar ring from another ardent Obama supporter. It also substantiates CNN's blatant bias for Obama.

For CNN:
Allowing the above mentioned posted slams is extreme and insulting. If it is your desire to become better acquainted with the fervor and outlandish atmosphere of "The Huffington Post"; I salute you and Wolf Blitzer. He made a fine start with his interview of Ariana and the above post fits the bill of hate and bigotry.

If anyone hasn't, as of today, reviewed these three senators voting records and sponsored legislation, what are you waiting on? Are you expecting someone else to do it for you?
