Sorry Al, but it's not that simple. I don't trust Clinton--we know without a doubt that she, like her husband, has lied to us. The reason? Political expediency. And doesn't the whole political family dynasty bother anyone? What next, will we be voting for Chelsea against the next generation of Bushes in 2013 or 2017? This cannot be what the founding fathers had in mind. If Clinton is the nominee, I won't be voting, and I'll likely leave the democratic party and register independent. Get used to the idea of McCain drooling his way through the next 4 years.

I played with the CNN Delegate Counter (look for it) and tried plugging in some numbers. If Hillary Clinton wins NC by 52% and ALL other contests by a highly unlikely 60% to 40% and the undeclared superdelegates also go Clinton 60% to 40%, guess what? Obama still gets the magic 2025 delegates for a first ballot win. So you Clintonites can dream on. Obama has it.

I have come to realize since the Election '04 that voters are just not smart people. They never vote for their Economic interest and always gripe about it afterwards. People are so use to the "same old politics" that it has become the norm for voters. It's called, "Wag the Dog".

Justin --

Obama never lied about the Gas tax relief. In fact, he admitted several times that he tried it, and it failed. That is why he is trying to tell Clinton that it's not going to work. He openly admitted that the same proposal has failed. Do your research buddy.

If you want to know the truth about Senator Clinton and her "record", ask some who she has represented here in New York. I live in Upstate, which she promised would see a revitalization when she became our Senator. What we've received is a loss of 400,000 jobs on her watch, rising crime rates, higher taxes, and a breakdown of our infrastructure. So much for promises, experience, and leadership. So far, she's failed at virtually every promise she made to us, N.Y. City not included. Thanks so much Hillary for picking my state to come to.

Here's something funny from HuffingtonPost:

Indiana
Obama: 50.5%
Clinton: 49.5%

Though, these polls don't really mean all that much.

But still...

Obama '08!

Have a feeling that some of the major media folks may cause harm to themselves in resentment if Clinton won the nomination. When did 'O' heard Rev. Wright-media will never explore that and will never question that 'O' is causing racial divide behind the scenes by having majority of one race on side. Can anyone in media or economist explain how any gas tax holiday is bad for people, get real?

I don't know what's worse: the blatant pandering done by Sen. Clinton in the past week (following Sen. McCain's lead, no less!) or the fact that it actually seems to be working. Americans need to learn that the President, regardless of party or policy, really has limited impact on the economic cycles during his term . Barring a catastrophe line 9/11 that disrupted so much of Wall Street and the airline industry, the mechanisms for rising and falling markets and industrial needs begin to form four to six years out. - meaning the impact is for his second or his successor's first term.

Setting the stage for that second term (or his successor's first term) means the President needs to have a rational, conversational foreign policy that encourages free trade on equal terms AND a sound fiscal policy for government spending that prioritizes the country's needs for security, defense, health care, education, and other essential services and provides for those needs from all citizens equitably.

Sadly, I don't see any of the three candidates left in either party having the latter, but at least there is some hope for Sen. Obama with the former. At least he's only said he would invade Pakistan to go after insurgents and terrorists, not obliterate a country from the face of the earth for having the temerity to develop nuclear weapons or occupy a country for 100 years because its own security forces can't hold it together. My hunch is that if we ever did invade Pakistan, we'd be there for a very long time, too.

Who will I vote for in November? I might write in Sam Nunn and Arlen Spectre. At least those two tend to talk sense more often than not.

I did some calculations… if you say there are 100 people, then nearly 2/3 say economy is top issue or 63 people and 37 people or the other 1/3 said it isn't.

Of the 63 people,
Clinton got about 54% or .54 x 63 and .46 x 37 = 51

Of the 63 people,
Obama got about 46% or .46 x 63 and .54 x 37 = 49

so a margin of 51% vs. 49% for Clinton
- my analysis of this poll

Obama the elitest wants to criticize Hillarys plan instead of coming up with a solution on gas prices. Barack forgot what it means to struggle and has lost touch with Average Americans. He does not agree that a $70 saving for Americans on the gas tax is worth it. News Alert: To struggling Americans it is.

Get real Obama and go back to your Chicago hate mongering community.

Hillary has a lot of experience botching health care reform, busting Unions, voting for politically safe (meaningless) legislation, and pretending she can somehow relate to average people like me. I sure hope she wins so she can bring her wealth of experience to the White House!

Go Hillary Go. We need you experience, strength and hope to get us out of this mess - not some fool who doesn't show up for over half of his votes, is an elitist. Like not wanting a "holiday" on gas tax. Duh. No one has said this is her cure-all, it is what it is - a "holiday". There are alot of people this will help. Me, I drive a Prius hybrid so I am still ok. But there are alot of people hurting who can benefit from even a small break. She's the one who has had the plans, on healthcare, social security, green jobs, he has tried to steal every idea she's been talking on for years! So Go Hillary Go all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave on Jan 20, 2009!

Indiana voters, you are not thinking clearly!

The biggest reason we are in such an economic quagmire is because of the billions of dollars flowing into the Iraq war. Don't forget who voted to take us there.

Hint.. It was not Obama!

Check the delegate counter, even if Hilary won both Indiana and North Carolina by 10% (which will not happen of course) and every remaining contest from now until June by the same margin, and garnered the support of 65% of the remaining superdelegates she still doesn't have enough delegates to win the nomination. Wake up people, this race isn't as close as the news pundits would like us to believe.

Hey Clinton supporters, exactly what solutions does Clinton actually offer? Please let me know because the last time I checked Obama and Hiliary's plan are basically identical. Besides Healthcare, they both are pretty much offering the same thing. A Clinton vote is a wasted vote. DO THE MATH !!!! Obama doesn't need to win Indiana to have a great night. All he needs to do is win NC by 10 points and keep Indiana close then game is over.

How about we keep the exit poll data sequestered until at least AFTER THE POLLS CLOSE. It's becoming a toss up between who I dispise the most- the pollsters or the ones reporting the poll.

What ever happened to a secret ballot in this country? Believe it or people died for that right. Yet again today, the media spits on their graves.

Has Wolf called North Carolina or Indiana yet? What is he waiting for? 0% of precincts have reported. He's slipping I think.

To me there is only one person capable to get the country back on track, that is Hillary. Obama or McCain is not smart enough and don't have a clue. To me and my family it is a no brainer. The problem with these young people for Obama, they don't remember how much better things were when Clinton was is office. They were still in grade school. They have not had a lot of life experiences yet. GO HILLARY [AND BILL]

As far as I am concern, the economy and health care go hand in hand. No health, no economy. The 2 issues should be together. If you have a job with no health care, you are still looking at a possible financial disaster if you get sick or have an accident and can't afford your medical bills.

The stupid thing is that Hillary will do more damage to our economy by pursuing the jobs of yesterday. We should be pursuing clean, good paying, high tech jobs and training in the technology sector - not pandering to factory workers.

Dave talking about hitting the hammer to the nail bud. You are very correct. Invest in jobs that are growing not jobs that are having to let people go

As we get close to the end, I ask everyone, no matter who you're supporting now, to please vote Democratic in November. Please don't sit it out if your candidate isn't nominated. Remember, it was the Democratic party who gave you a choice between an African American and a woman for the first time ever.

This is getting interesting - Bring on Michigan and Florida!!! Let's count 'em up and get on with the real reality which is that Hillary can win in November and Obama can't. By the way, wasn't it Obama who said that he'd win in North Carolina and Indiana would be the big tie breaker? I believe the tie is broken, Mr. Obama - Indiana has spoken and they don't like you very much.

I did some calculations... if you say there are 100 people, then nearly 2/3 say economy is top issue or 63 people and 37 people or the other 1/3 said it isn't.

Of the 63 people,
Clinton got about 54% or .54 x 63 and .46 x 37 = 51

Of the 63 people,
Obama got about 46% or .46 x 63 and .54 x 37 = 49

so a margin of 51% vs. 49% for Clinton
- my analysis of this poll

Obama is going to win NC by double digits and probably lose a close race in Indiana. That means he's going to gain a big number of delegates tonight, picking up another dozen or so on his lead. After that, he'll get some more of the supers to jump on too.

Indiana, you could sure make this a lot easier by giving her a surprising defeat.

Great, can't just stick to the practice of not reporting anything about results until the polls actually close. You try to get in a jump and start reporting bits and pieces of numbers - enough that someone who is paying attention can do a little math and see what the exit polls are predicting for the outcome.

Obama slams Hillary's gas tax proposal. What he doesn't tell everyone: He voted not once, not twice, but three times for a gas tax holiday in Illinois. If that isn't the ultimate hypocrisy, I can't see what else is! We're seeing buyer's remorse for sure. Obama is proving to be very dishonest, and it's apparent that he's done nothing with his political career except to constantly try and try to gain positions of higher power. He did in fact, state for the record time after time during his senate campaign that he would NOT run for president in 08. Liar.

As far as voting, I cast my Indiana ballot today for Hillary. And even though I whole-heartedly support her, I will not heed her advice and vote for Obama should he take the nomination. Sorry, I'd rather have McCain.
