Clinton vows to continue, presses new math

Clinton said Wednesday her campaign goes on. (AP Photo)

SHEPHERDSTOWN, West Virginia (CNN) - There may be new pressure on her to concede defeat in her quest for the White House, but Hillary Clinton had a familiar message Wednesday for Democrats calling on her to end her presidential bid: “I’m staying in this race until we have a nominee.”

Clinton told reporters she was not swayed by new exit polls that suggest the bitter primary battle may be dividing the party. “I just don’t believe that. I think we’ve had a historic record turnout by both of us bringing people into the Democratic Party,” said Clinton.

She stressed her continuing quest to make sure full delegations from Florida and Michigan were represented at the Democratic convention this summer. The party’s Rules and Bylaws Committee is meeting later this month to try to resolve the dilemma – but Clinton made it clear Wednesday that she didn’t think any ruling from that panel was necessarily the last word.

“Under the rules of the Democratic Party, the Rules and Bylaws Committee makes the first determination,” she said. “And if people are not satisfied with that, then people go to the credentials committee, so we’ll see what the outcome is.”

Asked if she would drop out once Obama reaches the 2,210-delegate mark, Clinton responded: “Well, I’m glad you used the figure 2,210, because I think that’s the right figure because that includes the seating of delegates from Michigan and Florida, something that I have said consistently… for months now, has to be resolved.

“….So 2,209 or 10 is the number, and at some point one of us will get there.”

  1. Keeping It Real!

The democrats need to get out of the denial stage and realize what Hillary Clinton real intentions are which is to try and bloody up Obama hoping that John McCain will win and she can run in 2012. It's been in my opinion so evident that Stevie Wonder can see it. Do anyone really believe she would admit to trying to sabatoge Obama chances and the democratic party. Do anyone really believe that she would admit that the longer this race goes on especially if she continues to play dirty politicing that it's harmful to Obama and the party. If she was to admit that then she would force her ostrich head in the sand democrats to see that she's capabable of such a selfish act. Hillary don't give a rats behind about the American people ,she's in this race for power. Hillary wants a fight so that the Florida and Michigan case would go to the credential committee hoping that a divide would happened which could make Obama task harder. In the end Obama will win the nomination and the presidency.

Also, no one ever said that the blue collar voters won't vote for Obama. When they have to make the decision whether or not to have a 3rd bush term, to be in Iraq "for a hundred years", to be led by a leader who has said that he doesnt know about the economy OR barrack obama. I think theyd choose obama

this lady is selfish, inconsiderate, and self-serving and thats all i have to say about it. This win at all cost mentality is what will hurt the democratic party. We deserve everything we get.

This is what some people want to put in the White house??? I would laugh at this lady if this wasn't such a surious matter. She is dead set on ruining this party. If she somehow becomes the nominee, we will finally have a three party system, because that would be the death of the democratic party. The way this is being handles is how this country repeatedly creates people like Jeremiah Wright. While I don't agree with his views, the sense of injustice is real.

Hillary Clinton is to this nominating process what George W. Bush is to the Iraq War. Neither one will get out of a hopeless situation, even though she/he is dragging their party/country down with them. They are both in denial , they both refuse to deal with reality, and both are incapable of governing.

Stay in it Hillary and there are several valid reasons to do so: First, the Republicans are going to go full speed ahead with the attack ads on Obama and he will really be vetted now. The superdelegates will hear and see alot more about him and some may have 2nd thoughts. Additionally, Obama may turn out to have feet of clay after they get through with him and the handwriting will be on the wall – he will not win in November. Another reason to stay in: Hillary won all the "important" states- NY, California, Pennyslvania, Texas, Ohio. She's in the heart of the working men and women of this country. There is no reason for her to leave the race and she really has no face saving to do. Stay the course Hillary – stay until the convention and best of luck to you – we want you in the White House.

This woman is an Idiot. I have NEVER Disrespected ANY of our leaders in my LIFE until BUSH. I was RABID supporter of Bill Clinton throughout the whole Lewensky flap but now I am convinced. Bill and Hillary Clinton are selfish powerhungry , in denial IDIOTS!!!

This has been the most painful example of professional downfall and selfish self inflicted humiliation I have ever seen in my life. It is almost as if they have to get back the whitehouse to repay some dire debt or their very lives are in peril. That is the ONLY way they way they have been acting makes sense.

Keep fighting Senator Clinton. Obama is the only one who refuses to concede especially with his arrogant and divisive attitude regarding Florida and Michigan. He has to keep jacking himself up stating that he has won the popular vote. If you count Florida and Michigan, he has not. Senator Obama and his campaign have always made it about race from Day 1. He even recently stated that "don't vote for me because I am african-american". That is exactly what the voters are doing. They aren't thinking about what he can do for our country because I haven't seen nor heard anything of substance to that effect yet. I still hope that you will be our nominee because you ARE the stronger candidate to beat John McCain. I hope CNN will post my comment this time because I don't see my previous one. Senator Clinton, we want to see you in the White House. GO HILLARY 08!!!

Using CNN's very own deligate counter you will find that if Senator Clinton were to win every state by 70-30% she would still be short deligate wise.
I'm still in shock that Michigan is still in the talk for having delagates especially when Senator O'bama's name was not even on the ballot, you cannot possibly say that that contest was at all legitimate. Florida possibly, but still Sen. Clinton has to crush O'bama in EVERY state from here on out to have a chance, something she has yet to do once.
Did I mention that it was the Clinton backers that were for the stripping of delagates in Florida and Michigan.

As I stated in my last Blog in the Cafferty Report, this is my final Blog.

I have prepared this Blog for the Democratic Party. We must cease our bickering and divisive politics of pulling down our 2 great Democratic Candidates Ms. Hillary Clinton and Mr. Barak Obama. I present to the Great People of America

    “United We Stand”

May 6th 2008 is this Country, the United States of America historical date in History.

On this day, the 2 most qualified Democratic front runners Ms. Hillary Rodam Clinton and Mr. Barak Obama has ended what will be considered by most Political Historians, the most exciting Political Campaigns exhibited in the history of the United States of America.

Today we set aside our differences and come together for a higher purpose. On this day, what is required and is at this most urgent time in the history of this country, the United States of America.

It is for every Man, every Woman, every National Group, White American, African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American, and Americans of all National Backgrounds.
This day is the day that we reclaim our true course in history to restore this great Country to the calling for which its very existence came to be, Yes, today is our day, all Democrats, all Republicans, all Independents, all who love this great Country, today we come together and pronounce this Country mantra, “United We Stand”

Yes, United We Stand. This great Country of ours, the United States of America can not afford to delay another day, another hour, nor another moment of division of National Groups that make up this great Nation.

Today, the Democratic Party has chosen to move forward with our task to bring this Country together to fight the Fight of Faith.

This Fight of Faith will require for all Americans to put aside their personal fears and personal difference.

Yes this Fight of Faith that we as a Nation is called to at this very moment of time, a time where this great Country, the United States of America may be on the brink of dissolution. Yes, this day is a day that we, the Citizens of this great country that has from the time of its existence has cried out for Freedom.

Today, that very declaration of Freedom is at risk for each and every American.
As we move into a Globalization of a Global Economy where we must as Americans compete to stay on the World scene as the Leaders of a Free World, we must on this day say loud, say proudly “United We Stand”.

Today, we the Democratic Party must reach out to our brothers and sisters of the Republican Party and reconcile our partisanship that has been the wall of division that has hindered the progress of this great Country.

Our fight is not with each American that holds claim to the proclamation of our great forefathers, who with vision foreseen the need of a Constitution our Declaration of Independence to guide this great Country during times of Peace, but at best during times difficult Trials, that at worst threatens the very existence of this great Country the United States of America.

We must now stand behind our Democratic Nominee and move forward to take our place in History.

Yes we face the uncertainty of tomorrow. We have an Economy that has left thousands of American men and women unemployed and unable to provide the basics needs of food, housing, and other basic needs that require us to provide for our families.
We are in the middle of 2 Wars that has cost this country Trillions of dollars that should have gone to the greater good of the Citizens of this great country to create jobs, invest in the rebuilding of our infra structures, and rebuilding of our children’s schools.
As a result of our division among Political Parties and National Groups, thousands of American jobs are being shipped out overseas to other countries. Our children are last in all fields of academics, and many families at this very moment are facing the prospects of losing their homes.

Who will come to our sides at this time of urgency? A time, where in the next 12 months, China will proclaim to be the New Primer World Power and will continue to abuse the Free Trade that the United States have out of fairness and trust, was willing to open our country ports to the material that China has made and sold to the people of this great Nation.

China continues to flood our ports with defective and dangerous products that we as Americans consume to take care of our families.

We are Proud, We are Americans

Are we to be left behind after over 200 years of embracing the God given rights of Freedom for All men, all women, and all children of this great Country?

As a Democrat, today I proclaim my Independence; I declare our right to continue to exist as a Free Country, a Country that we all have given our love in devotion to in order to uphold our belief in a World of Democracy..

Today I ask each American to take a stand today for the very future of our existence depends upon one basic principle “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”

    God Bless America.

See all my fellow Americans at the Voting Polls in November

The only kind of change Obama will do is "short change us".

Wolfe Blitzer has a list of questions to ask Obama from his supporters. You would think by now all that would have been spelled out clearly. We are in bigger trouble than we think.

Hillary and her die hard racist supporters along with her puppet media. All keep singing the same tired songs. They say count MI and FL even though She had already agreed that they would not count. She wants to count MI even though Obama obeyed the rules and was not even on the ballot. They touted the popular vote but of course now Obama is way ahead in the popular vote too. She brags about winning Indiana even though there is proof that Republicans voting on behalf of Rush Limbaugh's 'Operation Chaos' gave Hillary seven points. So in reality, Obama won indiana by five points. So last but not least. The Hillary gang says lets scrap all the rules and give it to Hillary based on 'electability' This is why Hillary does not drop out. Because she thinks she can steal this election and is more than happy to try.

as i said from the beginning, I will never vote for Obama, just like 45% of Clinton supporters said in IN and 50% in NC.. I think Clinton do need a miracle to win, but Obama needs us to win general election. So Obama supporters, I suggest you guys do not bash Clinton coz whether u like it or not, u need her supports as well coz without her supporters, McCain is gonna win. Trust me, we rather vote for Republicans if Hillary is not on the ticket. & FYI, im sick of pro-Obama-ers think they are smart and young.. Im young and i probably make more money than most of you, and im for Hillary. So grow up and stop disrespecting the senior citizens who are for Hillary...

As long as their is a mathematical possibility for her to win, she should stay in the race..Obama has not reached the required number of delegates either..anything could happen..we might find out more about his dealings with Rezko, that homegrown terrorist, his supposed sex & drugs escapade with Larry Sinclair and there's still the matter of him being less than honest about his pastor..If he does become president, I hope the U.S. doesn't end up looking like Chicago with all it's problems and gang killings...too bad he couldn't do anything to help clean-up Chicago.
