I would like to ask the Obama supporters why there is so much bitterness in these blogs? You would think that he was the one that was behind in the race. What we are witness to is what politics is all about. It is not for the weak of heart, it is a full contact sport. Agree or disagree. that is our right . But we do not have a right to tear any of the candidates down with personal attacks, and the stands for McCain, Hillary and Obama.
A Irish Catholic, white, male, Or should it not be an American of Irish heritage who is Catholic and male. Until we figure it out we will forever be divided...........

Hillary Clinton has a strong 49% of the vote. Without her on the ticket, I seriously doubt Barack Obama will win the states he needs. It is Democratic political suicide to discount her strength. There are just too many people willing to jump to McCain without her on the ticket. This race between them is almost 50-50. If her people had put time and energy into organizing in the caucus states, she would be the leader right now.

Many people say she is "old politics." Like the old politics that fought for and won Roe v. Wade for us and so many other democratic policies that benefit us today? If he loses the race against McCain, and Roe v. Wade becomes history, maybe many of these young people will understand why so many people are grateful to her generation.

Now why would Obama want an "Old Politician" like Kennedy. Out with the old - in with the new right. Not that anyone cares who Obama picks in the first place. But just for argument sake, Kennedy DID pave the way for Obama in a huge way I might add - so Obama owes him. Now that sounds like the old politics right?

Hillary supporters - do listen to any junk about uniting the party - or if you don't vote for Obama blood from Iraq will be on your hands, and all the other intimidating things his supporters will try to lay on you. They are full of hot air - Obama will be in four years and Iraq will still be going on - he cannot do anything any quicker than anyone else.

NO OBAMA

The damage that Sen. Clinton has done to the Democratic Party will definitely make her a deficit to any ticket. Sen. Clinton has alienated a great many voters with her dirty politics and negative campaign.

Sen. Obama can not afford to have Sen. Clinton as his VP because she can not be trusted to do the right thing. She is totally dangerous, vicious, unethical, nasty, and most of all selfish. If it is not her way, then you better watch your back, front, and sides.

I think she is totally psycho now.

It will be Kennedy and Johnson over again.

Why should those of us that support Hillary's competence consider voting for Obama? Maybe WE actually learned the lesson of Bush - the perils of electing an unqualified, inexperienced, unknown candidate. Maybe after McCain is elected and we lose Roe v Wade, we will all finally wake-up and appreciate the true value of a women leader as committed to women and human rights as Hillary has been her whole life! IF not NOW then THEN - Go Hillary!!!
As a former worker for Ted Kennedy in 1980 - his credibility is shot - the only reason he supports Obama is so he can be his "Cheney" THAT's the real reason he doesnt want any Clinton around - so patently self-serving!

One thing these comments prove is Obama supporters are very odd. The Clinton's didn't even start the Reverend Wright thing, but that won't stop the Obama nuts from pretending she did, and shamelessly calling her a race-baiter because she did, though she didn't start that discussion. Wright blames white people for "inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color," not to mention that the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 represent the WWII Japanese getting their comeuppance against us for the nukes of 1944... But if anyone mentions that Obama is incredibly close to this guy and his "liberation theology"/communist church, those people are race baiters. Well, people don't need to mention race with Obama, they can just call him a beyond the pale liberation theology left-wing, commie nut, and if the Republicans do this with any vigor, I don't see why they can't succeed. Has nothing to do with skin color, but the Obama camp of course will keep whining that it does and playing the race card at the strangest times. Worse than Jesse Jackson, that campaign appears...

Ted Kennedy represents the most liberal aspect of our party. If our party splits between liberals and moderates, I hope he is prepared to accept the responsibility. Hillary Clinton is extremely respected and popular why would he argue such a position? This is just dead wrong. She earned the VP slot and the party will be much more enthusiastic if they are both on the ticket.

If obama loses this election to mccain, which he almost certainly will, i wont blame obama. i blame the opportunists who ignored the logic and went with the flow.

and obviously, the 90-percent-racists and kool-aid drinkers who voted for him.

I say UP YOURS Ted Kennedy. I can't wait to dump the democratic party and vote for McCain.

The DNC male dominated leadership has completely run-over Hillary Clinton. I will never support this party again.

As a lifelong democrat and one that has donated to both Kennedy and Kerry in the past - I'm done.

These chauvenist pigs can have their precious Obama.

I'm moving on to McCain and the Republicans.

I am all for Obama to win. He has more baggage than Hillary. The Republicans will have a field day in attacking him.

For the Hillary supporters, you can make your voice heard by voting for McCain. After being robbed of the nomination by not counting votes in Michigan and Florida, you have every right to retaliate against the Obama ticket. Show your loyalty to Hillary. Strike Obama down.

Hip, hip, hooray for Obama!!!!

Just a thought:

Hillary age 62 backs down and feigns support for Obama.
Clinton supporters back McCain.
Obama loses against John McCain.
McCain President.
People will grow tired from the Republicans in 2012.
Obama will be relegated to the likes of Dukakis.
Clinton becomes President at a respectable age of 66.

If obama doesnt offer clinton the VP slot i will be FURIOUS

why should i vote for a man who talks and talks and talks about 'uniting' people when he's not even willing to reach out so far as to offer clinton the VP slot?

it will be his single act of hypocrisy yet. I'm a lifelong democrat. But at least McCain's showed more respect to Clinton than the obamacists… I WILL vote for mccain if obama messes this up. So will millions like me. He's hard enough to get elected as it is, without infuriating every last person who voted for clinton.

You've been warned, Obama people.

Its so disenchanting how negative and mean-spirited the Obama - fans are on CNN posts.

Don't you think you will need the Clinton supporters vote IF Obama gets the nod?

Numbers are increasingly showing the WE CLINTON SUPPORTERS will in large margin either not vote or vote for McCain.

Blind-eyed Obamabots are the reason for the racial divides in this contest.

Does anyone actually think Obama can beat McCain? More than college kids and African Americans would have to vote than already did.

Why did Kennedy have to say "no" anyway? Is this another instance where Obama has somebody fight his battles like he did when he had T-shirts made for his supporters denouncing Clinton? He really is weak. Why could he be commander-in-chief enough to say "no" himself?

The man is right. The BUSH-CLINTON-BUSH-??CLINTON equation would make American democracy a sham. Pliz give others a chance. Some people are complianing about Obama supporters; they should realise that OBAMA SUPPOTERS ARE WILLING TO SWITCH AND SUPPORT HILLARY IF SHE IS NOMINATED WHEREAS HER SUPPORTERS ARE NOT WILLING TO SWITCH!!!! What does this say about her suppoters? One word=RACISM. I love people but black people more because they simply don't have racism.

To all Sen. Obama supporters,

The latest about Sen. McCain.

He and his party have the right to bash Sen. Obama, with his disgusting Ad. "Hamas Endorses Sen Obama" Yes, it is okay for McCain to deliberately make these statements, and attack Sen. Obama for what Hamas says. (it seems that Sen Obama is going to be critized for what everyone else says about him).

In response to this disgusting ad, Sen. Obama says he thinks Sen. McCain "is losing his Bearings".... Now the Rep. are up in arms. This is Leiberman's remarks, speaking now with Wolf Blitzer. "You can say that you don't agree with what someone says but to say that they are losing there bearings is not right" Is this some kind of double standard?????

Stop whining McCain, Lieberman, and all of your supporters, if you expect to attack Sen. Obama, for what everyone says about him, then you had better be prepared for some payback! There is a lot more to come! (If someone should say this about you I am sure that you would use much stronger words than this).

Yes Obama needs a like-minded uniter and not from the "old school" politics of division and blaming the other party for problems.

He should try to recruit a moderate disenfranchised Republican that wants to defect to the Democrats, or pick a social conservative Democrat from a Red state - preferably heartland or the south. (BESIDES Edwards)

Look whose talking about noblier aspirations. Ted Kennedy the one who has disgraced the Kennedy name. . No wonder you like Obama. Hillary Clinton has fought for what she believed since she came onto the scene. Barak Obama pales in comparison to her. Too bad you didn't think of your brother Bobby and that is who Hillary is like.

If I were you Ted I would not run for re-election to the Senate I think the people of MA are finally going to reject you. Use you age for not running again you will not be elected. GO HILLARY!!!!

If elected POTUS and Obama follows in the path of Kennedy and Kerry's leadership, then he can look forward to millions in book advancements and speaking engagements.
US citizens can look forward to the footnote of a bi-racial president that dug George Bush's economic hole to engulf the entire eastern hemisphere of the world.

OBAMACANS, can you withstand the tax burden to support the entitlement programs in the USA and the continent of Africa?

Sen. Kennedy brings to mind the Alexander Pope poem saying that hell has no fury like a woman scorned. To paraphrase, politics has not fury like a Kennedy being upset over a comment made by a Clinton supporter. I used to regard Sen Kennedy as a man who had redeemed himself from his many issues including the harm he did to the party in 1980 but he has now become once more a person who does not deserve praise.
He is petty and should understand he really is the old politics.
he should bow out now
