Poll shows Clinton with big lead in West Virginia

Clinton holds a big lead in West Virginia.

Clinton holds a big lead in West Virginia.

(CNN) - Even as she faces pressure from some to call her White House bid quits, Hillary Clinton holds a commanding lead in West Virginia, according to a new poll released Friday.

Clinton has a 43-point advantage over Obama, 66 percent to 23 percent, according to a new survey from the American Research Group.

The poll was conducted entirely after Tuesday's primary results, and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

The poll suggests Clinton’s white, working class base seems to be holding firm for her - at least in West Virginia, where that demographic makes up a substantial portion of the Democratic electorate.

West Virginia, one of the six contests left in the Democratic presidential race, votes next Tuesday.

    How is this news?

West Virginia is, and always will be, backwards. Perhaps she'll hold a victory speech on the back of a pickup at a Klan rally.

I see her point . I mean Barack was obviously only won because of the large population of black people in , New Hampsire, Alaska, Idaho, Delaware, Colorado, Kansas , Minnasota...............

Sad to say it but this campaign will ultimately be about race. The race card will be played before Election Day. A lot. Obama is ahead of his time. It's too bad his country can't match him; his thinking, his vision of how America fits into the global scheme for the 21st century and, moreover, how he's the MOST capable to lead that effort. He gets it. His countrymen don't. At least not yet. The world still holds out hope...

It's OVER for you HRC... No money, no race, hon... Do you still want Barack to raise $ 25 millions to pay your debt? No way, hon... That's why you are so desperate... Go home and have a life... Forget about politics! Forever, my dear!

What about Michigan and Florida? I don't think it is fair to leave out these states. If their vote doesn't count now, why would they want to participate in the fall. Regardless of the outcome, they still need to be counted – it's the right of the American people. Or is there not anyone who cares if the government continues to steal our rights? Stand up, shout out, let's take back our government before it is to late!

It is amazing how petty Obama supporters are. Their taunting is why many Hillary supporters will vote for McCain in November.

Hillary is like the last great American Hero. In the middle of all the bad politics, all the bias news, all the troubled stressful times, she remains genuine and unbending. She wants to help those in need and she will not give up until the mission is over. Like a good super hero she fights for the fabric of the American people. God Speed ahead Hillary,

You know, the Obama supporters are just amazing. They talk about change. They talk about how nasty Hillary is and then all they do is make fun of Hillary, her supporters, and the state she's doing well in. Don't think about the fact that in order for him to win in November, Obama is going to need the votes from states like West Virginia. Oh, that's right, since he doesn't need these votes RIGHT NOW, let's just make fun of the voters there and then love 'em up come the general election campaign time. Yeah, I see the "change".

Obama cannot win the general election, period. The one fact that the Obamatrons can't accept. Proportional (Democratic primaries) vs. Winner Take All (Electoral College). Hello, people!!!!!

That's because people in West Virginia are poor and uneducated.

Why is it that the majority of people who have already voted want Obama but almost half the people who have yet to vote still think Hilary is a Presidential material?

Evidently only children go to CNN the crappy news network. It seems to me that Clinton is still winning so what is wrong with everybody getting their vote in. I thought it was the Republicans who didn't want to count every vote. Until loser Dean began running the party like his own little fifedom.

If a loser runs your party than a loser your party will be.

Some of you people are so ugly, racist remarks work for some but not for all, I wonder if the situation was different and Senator Obama was losing some of you would be saying it was because he is 1/2 African American, get over it and get a life. Go Hillary, I hope you fight till the end.
