Sharpton says it's time for Clinton to quit.

(CNN) – The Rev. Al Sharpton has some blunt words for Hillary Clinton: "It's over."

Speaking on NY 1 Thursday night, Sharpton said it is now impossible for the New York senator to win the White House "without the total destruction of the Democratic Party.

Sharpton also likened Clinton to an entertainer that doesn't know when to exit the stage.

"The worst thing in the world is when an entertainer doesn’t know when the show is over," he said. "The audience is gone, the lights are down, you’re getting ready to cut the mics off and you are still on the stage singing.

"It’s over, it’s all right, it’s over," he said. "Come sing another day, but this show is over, Senator Clinton."

Due to the ignorance the previous 2 elections, and now this election, has uncovered I'm all for some basic educational qualifications for voters. Voters without the ability to think for themselves are too easily manipulated by candidates and we end up with the worse people being placed in office by the least intelligent majority. Having an educational requirement to vote would be motivation for people to go to school and learn to think objectively. For the sake of all of our futures I propose: No diploma, no vote! In fact it should be extended to being a requirement for getting a drivers license, and owing a gun. There should be penalties and ramifications for people dropping out of school, and losing the right to vote should be one of them.

JRO   May 9th, 2008 10:03 am ET

I am a Hillary supporter, and my wife supports Obama. We both agree that the Rev. Sharpton's comments are irrelevant and hypocritical.

Rev. Sharpton should have known when to "hang up the mic" long ago.

Real Change   May 9th, 2008 10:03 am ET

We have all taken exception to Rev. Al from time-to-time, but he is exactly right on this. How in the world would Hillary hold the Democratic Party together if the superdelegates ignored the will of the people and appointed Hillary?

AND DON'T GIVE ME THAT REDICULOUS MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA ARGUEMENT! BARACK WINS EVEN IF YOU DO COUNT MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA.

I cannot stand this guy for any reason. The only thing we agree on is that the lights have gone down on Hillary's campaign. Actually…that was abundantly clear on Chelsea's face the other night when Hillary spoke in Indiana. Body language says alot.

how can people say it is over when so many people have not yet had the opportunity to vote…even if mathematically Clinton cannot reach the required number of delegates, these people still have the right to vote…even if it is for a candidate who probably won't win the nomination…Obama hasn't reached the magic number yet either!

Tim in NC   May 9th, 2008 10:06 am ET

I NEVER, EVER thought I'd agree with anything the "Reverend" Al Sharpton had to say.

But he is right on the money here. I guess when the chips are down he can make logical, rational decisions.

SLAPSTICK, FLORIDA   May 9th, 2008 10:06 am ET

Watch out Rev. Sharpton, you will be labeled racist for commenting against the elitist. The media and the goons will say its an attack on her because of her gender… 5…4…3…2…1

People have been telling Clinton that "it is over" for over 2 months now, but it really isn't. That is until the Florida and Michigan votes are counted. And if they are, it puts her in a lot stronger position. If they are not, OBama will probably NOT carry either state in the general election.

Ok Al, that "audience" quote is funny. But Al, come on now. You are more like her than you know. Divisive, opportunistic, and yes, unable to know when the show is over (i.e. Don Imus, Tiger Woods v. crazy broadcaster lady).

Hillary can stay in this until Obama drains her of her family's money and then some. She only proves his point for him and she is saying dumber stuff by the day. At this point, I HOPE she stays in. The crazier she gets, the more fundraisers and super D's defect to Obama to raise him more money. So, in closing Sharpton, this, among other things, I disagree with you lol.

Chris   May 9th, 2008 10:09 am ET

It is over Hillary.. Get over it..America does not owe you the Presidency and you are not in anyway entitled to it.

Omar, NC   May 9th, 2008 10:10 am ET

Thank you Rev. Sharpton; this is the type of message that Hillary and the undecided super delegates need to listen to for the good of the party.

Independent   May 9th, 2008 10:10 am ET

What he said is true, but Sharpton, it isn't necessary. She can choose her time to drop out - it is her choice. The only reason the DNC and superdelegates would need to end this now (which they can since Obama only needs 100 something delegates to get to 2025), is if she campaigns negatively against him.

But otherwise, LEAVE HER ALONE and let her make the choice on timing!!!

It is over. It's over for Obama. People don't seem to understand that Obama would be an illegitimate nominee. He IS where he is today because of the unprecedented media bias against Hillary. All Hillary supporters I know will not unite under any circumstances behind Obama. He predicted he would win NC by 7 points, he lost it by 2 points. He won neighboring states of VA and SC by nearly 30 points and he could win NC only by 14 points. His support is waning. This unprecedented bias against Hillary to force her out of the race is making Hillary supporters even more furious. Obama supporters are too brainwashed to see that Obama is the one who ran a dirty campaign campaign and attacked Hillary. No way will I vote for this man.

If mccain wins, I will be depressed for many months cause I do love America and want this country to be great again! Please no more unnesessary desperate debates, racial divides and primaries from you hillary. Chooch   May 9th, 2008 10:12 am ET

Who cares what Sharpton says. I can't believe that the media keeps tabs on him at all. He is an obvious racist that only is concerned with publicity and the media continually gives it to him.

Amen to that! I don't always agree with Al Sharpton or his tactics, but I do agree with this!!!

Just like Richardson said….. Clinton thinks that she is entitled to the Presidency because her husband was President. I'd like to "not" see her President because of this, because we are not running a monarchy here!

I am sick of two families running this country for the last over 20 years and look at the shape that we are in! Give someone else a chance, Hillary, stop now, so that we can unite our Party!

We need to unite to beat the real threat which is the REPUBLICANS. Send the Clinton a letter and tell her to please STAND DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chad   May 9th, 2008 10:13 am ET

How can you say it's over? There are still important key states left like West Virginia and Kentuckey and ah……. (whisper: what else is Hillary expcted to win?)

Anyways, we really need to look at electability. Do we honastly believe that Obama's votes matter? Come on really. Only people who are smart, live in or around Illinois, live in a too deep of a red state, live in too deep of a blue state, are too indipendent, too black, or too young are going to vote for him. Those people don't matter.

So Barack, the ball is in your court. The bowling ball that is. Do you honestly believe you will STRIKE yourself to the whitehouse? The PINS are in place. Do you honestly belive you will get three more states in a row? A TURKEY if you will. Let me put up the gutter railings of hope for you. maybe then you'll get my vote,

HA LOL. McCain will get my vote before you. Now if you will excuse me, I have to practice for the competitive self inflicted gun shot wound to the foot contest tonight.

Brian   May 9th, 2008 10:13 am ET

It's comments like this from Sharpton that prove Hillary's statement; 'that Obama can't win the support of mainstream white voters.'

I know it's 'politically incorrect' to discuss this issue; but unless you want McCain in the Whitehouse, you better seriously consider it!!

Ostriches burying our heads in the sand   May 9th, 2008 10:13 am ET

Lawrence O Donnell mentioned in an interview this morning that.Hillary is wrapping up her campaign gradually. I hope he is right….

I'm an avid Obama supporter but too be honest isnt this a clear case of pot calling the kettle black? He shouldve hung up his dancing shoes a LONG TIME AGO!! To all Hillary supporters…no true Obama supporter feels that Clinton should drop out!! Its her decision!!! Also on the flip side…if Obama makes it to the White House he will owe a HUGE DEBT of gratitude to Clinton. I dont think Hillary's attacks on Obama were evil…if anything she strengthened the possble nominee! Thanks to Clinton…our possible nominee is already vetted!!

Vivian   May 9th, 2008 10:16 am ET

I am a Hillary supporter and I thnk she should stay in the race as long as she wants to. If the roles were reversed there is no way people would be telling Obama to drop out of race. As far as Democrats uniting, Hillary supporters are free to vote for whomever they want, including John McCain. Moderate to conservative Democrats, like myself, will find it hard to support Obama in the general election.

MMR   May 9th, 2008 10:16 am ET

I think she's probably really happy that Sharpton is NOT a supporter of hers. That guy is such an idiot. Why would CNN even include this?

Obama didn't magically put himself as the winner, PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM, AND NOT HER! SO she can't keep making excuse that she's fighting for the people WHEN THE PEOPLE DONT WANT HER!!!

PS- I would NOT put it past this selfish brad, that she would run as independent, I really wouldn't But ofcourse if she did that, I would suggest Bill and his family move to Mexico cuz it will be CURTAINS!

Rev Sharpton should keep his peace. Obama's approach ismuch better scenario. On his interview with CNN's Wolf, Obama correctly explained the negative impacts of push out Senator Clinton. Let her go on her own terms. She is too tough-minded to be told what to do. "She is no push over"

Republican for Obama   May 9th, 2008 10:17 am ET

I think it's pretty much a given that Clinton can't win but that is for her to decide when to stop not some opportunistic parasite like Sharpton. Every month polls show that the division between the Obama and Clinton supporters is getting more pronounced, so I pray Clinton makes the choice to unite the party soon because even as a Republican I can't stomach voting for McSame. I think we can all agree the policies of the last 8 years haven't done anything but cause grief. It's time for a change, we know it and the world knows it.

Obama on the other hand…. Black kids can't even ride the bus or walk to school in Chicago…. CNN stopped playing this story right around the time this election started. I never heard a thing about Obama trying to unite the black community there.

Obama the great uniter: Kids can't even go to school in Chicago without getting shot. Obama the great poser.

I don't understand why the people who say they want to unite the party
call for Hillary to drop out or change there endorsments?

Simply put, Hillay has close to 50% of the population voting for her.
Those people get angry, frustrated and hurt everytime someone call for her to drop out or changes to Obama's side.

It is this that is causing the party to divide. If these people would
keep quiet *until* every state and every vote was counted and done, then change there endorsments it sure would go a along way to help unite the party, just rememeber without Hillary's supporters Obama never stands a chance.

Angus McDugan   May 9th, 2008 10:19 am ET

I support Obama, but everyone needs to leave Hillary alone. Let her bow out gracefully in her own timeframe and let the rest of the nation vote. Let's quit picking at each other and gloating and work on healing our party! We need everyone's participation and vote and the negative comments are not helping!

Hey Jasmyne and you Obama supporters, she will not give up. You have to let the remaining contests run before any decision is made. We might be in for another surprise. I will continue to donate to her campaign and support her all the way to the convention if I have to. The Reverend Al Sharpton is a joke and I don't know why anyone would listen to what he has to say anyway. Most of us know that if Senator Obama becomes the nominee, he will not win the General Election. He is too weak. Look, he won't even agree to another debate because he always stumbles and stutters. Hillary Clinton is the strongest candidate to run against John McCain. If she becomes our nominee, I am pretty positive that she will beat John McCain and become our President. GO HILLARY 08!!!!

Arkansas Undertaker   May 9th, 2008 10:22 am ET

Jon   May 9th, 2008 10:23 am ET

This coming from one of the worst candidates we've ever had for President of the United States…..that's just rich!!

FatLadySinging   May 9th, 2008 10:23 am ET

The fat man sings the truth, Hillary. Pack your bags and take your divisive script back home.

Tubby The Tuba from Texas   May 9th, 2008 10:23 am ET

I think the bitter people are in Clinton's camp. Relax, she can run again.

Matt   May 9th, 2008 10:24 am ET

Make the best of it, Obama supporters. You only have six months to celebrate if he is the nominee. We will make sure of that in November. You can count on it.

Brian   May 9th, 2008 10:24 am ET

If Obama steals the nomination based on blatant media-bias, I will shift my vote to McCain!

Serious Voter   May 9th, 2008 10:24 am ET

Sharpton, the media, and the superdelegates all need to shut up and let the voters speak.

atl   May 9th, 2008 10:24 am ET

Whatever your opinion of Al Sharpton, he is correct. But for those of you who would rather have the Democratic party destroyed you don't care. Hillary has changed the rules so many times, with the support of the media and no one cares. She has lost, and the only way for her to win is to destroy the party. Now what is more important, that Hillary steals the nomination, because she has lost, or support the party she claims to love. Everyone with common sense she wonder why is she so desparate.

Jason   May 9th, 2008 10:25 am ET

Al Sharpton, I'm 100% Barack Obama supporter but we don't need your comments please. This is really irritating!
You have to learn how to tame what you say and not worsen situations.

Los from Mississippi   May 9th, 2008 10:25 am ET

I am a Senator Obama supporter but I feel that if Senator Clinton wants to continue her campaign she should be allowed to do so without the ridicule of others. It shows resilience and determination that she is dedicated to the cause of the US. The Clintons’ have always and will always remain rooted in the political growth of this country and I personally appreciate all they have and will continue to do for us.

Warner   May 9th, 2008 10:26 am ET

what was racist about his comment? do we even know if the interviewer asked him what he thought about the current situation of the Democratic Race for the White House? i've heard more white men and women say she should bow out. . but when "Reverend" Al say it, now he's being racist?

if the interviewer asked him his opinion or his thoughts about the process; what did you expect him to say? now, I never thought I would defend Al Sharpton but come on people. . .EVERYONE in America is debating about whether she should drop out of the race or not but when Al Sharpton say, "the show's over" that's being racist?

seriously?

Hillocrats for McCain in '08

KD   May 9th, 2008 10:27 am ET

Her staying in the the race is not tearing the party apart. It is all the Obama supporters who keep saying she should get out that is tearing this party apart. As a Clinton supporter that upsets me. My voting for Obama in the fall is becoming less and less likely as more people continue to ask Clinton to leave prematurely.

Bart in SC   May 9th, 2008 10:27 am ET

Shut up Al Sharpton

George   May 9th, 2008 10:27 am ET

shut up al Sharptons. Sharptons are llke Bill Clinton who spoilt Hillary's campaign. Sharpton , please go with Bill and have some fun. go away. Let Obama handle the situation. obama is the next president. We respect clintons too. I like Hillary but I dont like Bill Clinton. he is a liability for this woman.

Roofin Reality, Houston, Tx.   May 9th, 2008 10:28 am ET

Big Al, if you want Senator Obama to have an easier time getting through this tricky phase of uniting the Dem party, you would be best to just let the process flow.
Otherwise, all of those Senator Clinton supporters are going to look at this as just another slight and feel compelled to derail the Democratic ticket.
So, enjoy hte fact that Senaotr Obama is in great position to capture the nomination and just let it flow. After all, while you can't get to the big prize without firt going through the test, you must show yourself worthwhile while going thru the test in order to win the prize.

Richard, Florida   May 9th, 2008 10:28 am ET

the whole coutnry is saying is over, we the voters said to her it is over,
but she and the clinton machine can not be stopped they want power, so we all have to be very careful, these people will do anything to get to power, and I mean anything adn everything

I am sure bill is afraid to tell her is over.. i dont know may be Mark Penn cna tell her, but he does not want to loose his millions, apparentley she owes him about 11.000 million so he wont tell her, mm who can tell her.. Limbaugh?? she will listen to him, she has lately doing everything he has told her todo, and he helped her win PA, OH and NH..so there you go.

Status QuO.   May 9th, 2008 10:28 am ET

Haha, way to get those hard working white voters. Have Al Sharpton give a speech!

For Obama supporters with negative things to say about Hillary and her supporters: perhaps calling her a loser is not the best way to win over her supporters. In case you haven't noticed we are extremely emotionally invested in her. Your harsh words will only make it harder for Obama to make his case. Chill out.

NoMoreBillorHillaryClintonInWhiteHouse   May 9th, 2008 10:28 am ET

She will exit when Media stop reporting her comments and Obama ignores her, all she is doing is milking this as much as she can just to feel important and get her 11.4M back from her stupid supproters contribution.

Hilda   May 9th, 2008 10:28 am ET

He is a good friend to the Clintons , but, I don't think much about anything he says. I am also sick of Clinton supporters saying Obama can't win the support of hard working mainstream white voters, if you really do think that is true than why is Obama beating her in everyway possible, even in donations. Good thing he did not have to lend himself any money,he does not have the kind of money it takes to try and buy this nomination.

Jeremiah Wright as White House Chaplain
Tawana Brawley as Press Secretary.

Did Al Sharpton really need to state this publicly? It's not like Hillary is some grossly behind candidate. Just yesterday Gall up had her tied with Obama for the presidency. Many democrats love and respect Hillary Clinton so Sharpton should try to show some humility and respect.

Many Obama supporters believe they have a true voice for once and are they going to be disappointed. He is not going to be able to get the things done in Washington that many believe he will. Many of the young adults that support him do not understand the issues and the poor condition of our economy. There will be a great divide in this country.

I am not saying anything; I am just watching them superdelegates to see how arogan they may be to take this away from Obama. They must not because if they did they will lose. No body owe Clinton anything to do that favor to her.

Oona   May 9th, 2008 10:36 am ET

All this talk about 'why quit now', 'let all the primaries occur"…lets not get delusional. Those states can still vote for their candidate, but financially it doesn't make sense to keep asking for money and it surely doesn't make sense to keep on spending it in vain. Don't we want a President who is fiscally responsible? Hillary has not run her campaign well financially. This race is about her party now. She still has an opportunity to win under that banner if she stops following her own beaten agenda and joins the larger and successful agenda of her party. That is the only intelligent, mature & responsible step she hasn't taken yet. Her hesitation only dulls evidence of the existence that she bears those character traits.

Thank you Hillary for showing that a woman can wage the fight for the presidency, but the race must be won, held hostage.

Debra, MO   May 9th, 2008 10:36 am ET

That's right Al, as you stated; the Clinton's won't steal this election against Obama by trying to steal Florida and Michigan. Keep watching the Clintons Mr. Sharpton.

Sarav   May 9th, 2008 10:36 am ET

You can judge his character from his words. It's an worst way of treating an equally powerful opponent. There are many ways to comment for asking the opponent to quit the race. In my opinion Rev. Sharpton has chosen a worst way of expressing his suggestion.

Earl   May 9th, 2008 10:36 am ET

Sharpton the Soothsayer! He knows what it's all about. Hit 'em high. Hit 'em low.

I have supported Obama from the beginning, and race has nothing to do with it. I am a mother and a grandmother, and my children and grandchildren will be paying for the mistakes of the Clinton and Bush years, for the rest of their lives. Al Sharpton is right , it is time for Hillary to exit. Obama08

Olu Akins   May 9th, 2008 10:37 am ET

People, don't you think "SHAME" is the only reason Hillary is prolonging this race. Regarding the way she handled her campaign, money loaned, unfair negative attacks on Obama etc, for her to bow out now will potray an image of a complete loser which in effect might end her political career.

Abraham   May 9th, 2008 10:37 am ET

If Obama cannot win this election, after all the money he has made, after all the new college voters he has attracted. I truly believe that we as a country will just be proving ourselves as being dumb. This is the same country that chose George Bush as their president. Kerry was a Veteran, just like McCain was, he had fought and proved his love for his country, but people preferred to vote for a idiot than a flip-flopper.
I am sick of the ignorance in this country, everyday you hear about how less money is being given towards education and yet more money is being put into war. I heard Clinton the other day saying, she wouldn't listen to any Economist in regards to her gas tax plan. This in itself is ignorance, I mean Economist are experts on the economy, yet you say they don't know what they're talking about. Elitist anyone???

YK   May 9th, 2008 10:37 am ET

For the fools that wants to vote for McCain, guess what, we don't want to know. Majority of the educated will vote Barack in office so he can reform our education system so at least you can go to school to be able to think beyond your myopic and dull senses! Nonesense. You don't mind McCain's continuation of Bush bcos ur candidate lost! I dare you to go to school, and then read ur comments again after your successful graduation. Hope you don't fail over and over like HRC and her bar exams, the person u want to die for. Idiots!!!

I am a total Obama supporter, and have been, since the very beginning of this race.

However, I think it is in the party's best interests to graciously allow Hillary Clinton to finish out these primaries and exit with dignity. She has worked very hard, has many dedicated and loyal followers, and deserves no less.

Democrats 08!!

Bob   May 9th, 2008 10:38 am ET

I'm not a Clinton supporter but a word to Rev. Sharpton…It's not over till it's over and Obama wants her in till the result is in and she has a right to be in till it really is over…Stick to your gospel preaching please.

As an Obama supporter, I am not interested in what Al Sharpton has to say. Anyone who wants Obama to win in November, should NOT try to PUSH Hillary out. Her supporters may resent it and take it out on Obama.

Democrats need to unite. Let's respect each other.

NO Bush 3rd term.

Sharpton should be the last person to talk. He's the guy in a party that has everyone asking "who invited him?"

I'm for Obama, but Clinton deserves respect.

Only she can decide when to quit.

I do wish she'd stop playing the "white" card.

Lawrence   May 9th, 2008 10:39 am ET

susants   May 9th, 2008 10:40 am ET

Melissa- OHIO   May 9th, 2008 10:40 am ET

For once, there is a comment from Rev. Sharpton that we can ALL agree on.

His views are often controversial. He is sometimes a crusader, sometimes an instigator. HOWEVER, I think in this case he is just saying what 95% of the pundits are afraid to.

I give Rev. Sharpton credit for this, he actually appears to be concerned about Sen. Clinton. He knows she looks like a fool to continue to insist she has a chance. He's trying to get her to come down off her pedastal and see the reality— its OVER! Not out of hostility or fanning the flames… but out of respect for the fact that Sen. Clinton had a good run, a respectable fight. But, if she keeps going, she will damage herself, her husband, and the party.

The longer she continues, the more hysterical and in denial she looks.

Tejano   May 9th, 2008 10:40 am ET

Come Noveminber the McCain Democrats will be chanting, Go Home Obama, its over its over.

Tell me who you are with and I will tell you who you are.

With this kind of company, obama is toast.

Why is Bill Ayers not in Prison? Can CNN answer this question?

Chuck, Oregonians for Obama   May 9th, 2008 10:40 am ET

As an Obama supporter, I think it is important to for the superdelegates to make their voices heard and their canidates known; however, the calls to quit should stop. Time will tell the final outcome of this race, and I am certain Sen Clinton will bow out when the time is right for her and the party. I agree with most of the commentators on the news channels that after putting nearly two years into this race it is difficult to take a step back and toss in the towel. She will do it when she knows the time is right, until then lets play nice and keep our comments to our selves.

Norm   May 9th, 2008 10:40 am ET

HaHaHa……….. Sharpton go beat the drums where people care.

Obama is not ready to be president he is a puppet of the Clinton hater like Kennedy & Kerry & Moron group Move On.

Ade   May 9th, 2008 10:41 am ET

Americans should be aware that had it been that Hillary is in position of Obama two months ago. the outcry to him to drop out will be five times louder. Believe it or not, he would have been thrown out……….RACISM at best!!!!

Hotlanta   May 9th, 2008 10:41 am ET

I agree that Hillary should exit, but it is gettting apparent that she may need counseling to deal with reality. I feel sorry for her right now and hopes that someone in her family or friend can talk with her about how she is now being perceived–definitely not a fighter, but emotional and mentally unstable in accepting reality and truth. She comes up with her own ideas and beliefs that are not reality.

It's funny that he should speak of entertainers, because SHARPTON IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST CLOWN IN THE DEMOCRACTIC PARTY! AHhh, the IRONY., he aint very bright is he?

People will remember that it was you who decided that America was worth putting in harms way because you're a sore loser. Stop being SORE LOSERS (or racists) and make the best choice for the country by standing behind Obama!

Danielle   May 9th, 2008 10:45 am ET

I am sure that Mr Sharpton like Hillary but for her he think that it will be better to support the democratic party sooner than she think. Of course campaining for more than a year gives you a summum of strenth, and it could take few days before that strenth come down. So I think that sooner she quit better it will be for her. With few days for rest she will be back top shape to support Mr Obama

Steve Ford   May 9th, 2008 10:45 am ET

Well said!

Dave   May 9th, 2008 10:46 am ET

Michael-NYC   May 9th, 2008 10:46 am ET

"The worst thing in the world is when an entertainer doesn’t know when the show is over," he said. "The audience is gone, the lights are down, you’re getting ready to cut the mics off and you are still on the stage singing."

Haha! That is so typical of Sharpton. I think he needs to practice what he preaches!

HILLARY 08!!

YES SHE WILL!

David   May 9th, 2008 10:46 am ET

I hope this guy (Sharpton) just goes away. he jumped to Obama bandwagon after Iowa sensing there is an opportunity for a half white half black person becoming a president. I don't think they have anything in common. Al sharpton is a devisive individual and he is a complete opposite of what Obama stands for.

Independant-Voter   May 9th, 2008 10:47 am ET

lachamp   May 9th, 2008 10:47 am ET

Mr.Sharpton would bode well following his own advice, when the show is over, get off the stage. He definitely has a flair for over dramatizing so I find it ironic that he would criticize another for the very same fault he possesses.

Clinton Supporters are delusional!! HOW undemocratic, HOW un-patriotic to say if Obama gets the nominee you'll vote for McCain? Leave the USA and go live somewhere else LOOSERS!

You rather bite off your nose to spite your face…

Face it, there are many democrat elected officials that are super-delgates that don't like Bill Clinton, that isn't helping Hillary's nomination bid.

Even in South Africa, they accepted Nelson Mandella as president and we are so small minded and fearful we cannot even come to the level of the white south africans and do what is best to heal a nation.
Al, no matter how radical is right. As a woman, I know when my emotional state has taken over and all rationalism has left he building, Hillary has made it a personal thing and it is not about her, but the american people. Get a Grip Girl and do the right thing..

Sharpton should talk about exiting the stage. He should have gotten the hook a long time ago. She can stay as long as she wants - who are you to tell anybody to get out of the race. We will have our say in November. Obama will never bring around Hillary supporters - we will give him the hook.

Come on, don't support ignorance. These comments are uncalled for.
Al Sharpton has his faults, but blind bias is a source and link to utter ignorance.

1st Amendment applies to Al as well. Speak, brother.

to much hate and disgust going on. this is the democratic primary people. Obama is doing his best giving the position he is in. They both have run hard fought campaigns. But reality is setting in. It is time to stop the hate from both sides.
Only an idiot, republican or democrat, would vote for MCCain. I suggest that people who are saying they would vote for McCain instead of Obama should grow up.

Serious Voter May 9th, 2008 10:24 am ET

The voters have spoke. The problem is Hillary only wants to give voices to those that favor her. Large states (OH, PA, and so forth) and she is only using FL & MI for her own personal gain.

STLCOP   May 9th, 2008 10:53 am ET

The last thing IN THE WORLD Barak Obama needs, is Al Sharpton saying anything about him; for or against.

Al, please… Shhh… He got this.

Thank you!

I too will vote for McCain rather than Obama.
At least McCain has given his life in service to his country. Obama has little experience and as James Carville said," you can't win the Presidency with the egg-heads and African American vote".
