The primary process is greatly flawed. We really need to revisit our thinking. Why should all the states who have earlier prmaries be the ones deciding the nominee. States will later primaries are written off --- in essence the votes are considered irrelevant. ALL Americans should have a vote that plays signfificantly into the selection process.

On a side note, I found previous coverage by CNN to be offensive. There is no need for CNN or anyone to belitte the people of WV as backward 'rednecks'. Maybe the voters of WV have it right! CNN has no right to belittle their judgment.

It is amuzing for a non-american to read a blog where people of similar beliefs, all supporters of the same party argue over two candidates who are virtually identical! (Although it must be said that on this side of the pond Obama is gaining much more respect for his apparent ability to understand the mindset of people beyond the US).
'Change' is what the US needs. It need to stand up for itself as the superpower that it is and reafirm its self as such. This of course was Bush's ideology, but the 'agressive' mannar in which he carried this out caused this superpower credibility to falter.

I hope either was you will all eventually put your diiferences aside and back your party in November. Don't vote for the other party just to make a point about Hillary/Obama

I'm tired of the Obama supporters calling WV, KY and PA racist. The truth is (and history shows) the Democratic Party is the party of racism:

- President Roosevelt by Executive Order 9066 interred 110,000 Japanese-Americans.
- President Kennedy and Attorney General Kennedy ordered the FBI to spy on MLK.
- A Democrat, Richard Russell of Georgia led the filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Incidently 80% of Republicans voted Yes and only 63% of Democrats.
- The Poll Tax was a Democrat invention following the 14th Amendment.

Give me a break, you Obama maniacs can even play the race card right.

Give me Clinton, McCain or even Ron Paul -- But Never Obama!

We support Hillary Clinton because she is the best candidate.

Hating and trashing and bashing her will not encourage us to vote for Obama.

We vote on issues- not out of party loyalty.

Besides, the DNC has shown Hillary Clinton no loyalty for her years of dedicated service. In fact, they have been hateful and insulting to her and have tryed in every way possible to fix the election for Obama.

The people say no to that. We will teach the DNC and old time Washington insiders (who actually support Obama, contrary to Obama's sales pitch for change) not to mess with the right to vote.

I have read a lot of posts over the past weeks and i am troubled by the messages the entire world is viewing about the integrity of American citizens. Anyone in the world can view the same posts i have been viewing.

It is great to be enthusiastic about our governmental process and it is wonderful for people to stand up and be counted and be supportive of their candidate running for the highest office of American government.

But, when someone reads the posts, what are they seeing? Are they seeing enthusiasm, supportiveness? What i am reading are vulgar, racist, bigoted, unintelligent, and jr. high school level "na, na, na" posts on so many of the sites.

Is this what we want to convey to the rest or the world? Our country is the greatest county on Earth and we are responsible to uphold her dignity as her citizens.

So I would like people to think about this: Be optomistic about America's future, be supportive and enthusiastic. Please be civil and let the rest of the world know that the USA is great because her people are great! We are a nation of incredible minds who are willing to accept differences and acknowledge everyone is entitled to their own opinion with the freedom of speech to express it.

Thank you.

im from west virginia, and i dont appreciate all the slander you Obama folks on here are pushing on me and my fellow west virginians. we're not incest, or illeterate, thank you. Secondly, if it werent for rural americans, you folks in the cities would starve without food, and have no electricity. we make the world go around, you just flood us with money. So step back, and shut your biased jaws. We like Hillary because she gives us a glimmer of hope, and speaks to us in ways Obama can not. We like to hope for change, but we like a candidate with a track record of change. Nobody is sayin Obama is a horrible man here in WV, likewise, we just prefer Clinton.

I want Hilary to stay in the race for as long as possible, why because I think the only way for her to evolve as a human being is through her utter humiliation. She is reaching a tipping point, her campaigning is becoming a clinched joke (I'm a fighter nonsense), and her greed and selfishness becomes more apparent each day as we start to see more of the real Clinton.

This lady will only be happy when she has lost everything and is turning tricks downtown for Bill to fund a campaign she has already lost.

Clinton supporters need to end this for her, it would be the most humane thing to do...same as if you hit a deer that was dying and in unbearable pain. However a minority won't do this because they are mostly republicans in democrats clothing, as demonstrated by their wish to vote for McCain come fall rather than Obama. Such supporters (I'm sure it is only a vocal minority) are truly uneducated and stupid and will be replaced by a new generation of dems. Goodbye.

Well lets just stop the hate guys and see what happens here. I am an Obama supporter but still think that Hillary has the right to stay in this. Obama hasnt clinched yet, so lets be mature and respectful about the situation. We need to work on uniting this party and rallying behind one candidate. If not its 4 more years of the republican party that the people/economy cant take. Lets come together on this and move in one direction!

Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama in Nov for the very same reasons that Obama supporters are not voting for Clinton now....

Because we do not believe Obama is the best candidate. We just do not get hateful and nasty and vulgar and vitriolic about it. We will just be true to our conscience and Write Hillary Clinton in this Nov.

No need for Obama...no need for McCain. Hillary is available and ready for the Job. All we need to do is write her name in.

For me, Hillary's health care plan is the only one I will vote for. EVERYone deserves health care. Giving people the choice to OPT out of affordable universal health care just panders to the selfish and irresponsible. Obama's health care plan IS NOT UNIVERSAL.

Dear Hillary supporters,
The race for the white house among the democrats had its very clear rules set before it began. All 6 candidates agreed to the rules.
-most popular votes
-most pledged delagates
- superdelagates
-all the above conditions were set.
Florida and Michigan brought their primaries forward, thus were punished and their delegates would not count.
Hillary, Edwards, Richardson, Obama all the other contenders in the DNC agreed to this.
Now after Hilary realised she was not winning, Bill decided to go to florida to fundraise whuile the florida primaries were taking place. Obviously his presence there made Hilary win. After the contest, every news agency called it a win in a beauty pageant, where she was the only competetor, and anyway, they even said tha race did not count.
Hilary did not complain then, her supporters did not complain then. But when Hilary realised this race was becoming really tight, she made FL and Michigan an issue. Obama did not even have his name on the ballot in michigan, becusae the race would not count.
Now this spin of defranchising voters, is what makes alot of educated people not voter for Hilary....Do you , her supporters understand this??????????????

Yes, I agree, Hillary should run as an independent. Then she will need to finance her entire campaign as no one in their right mind will support her campaign anymore. Her fan base is broke. She is relying on racist tactics, and the racists she appeals to won't give her a nickel. Her pathetic website asking for $5 shows her campaign is groveling. The only reason she remains in the race is to have anyone who doesn't have a brain, contribute to her own personal account. Go ahead Hillary supporters, send her your money so she can pay back the money she "loaned" her campaign. She is counting on your generosity. 110 million dollars is not enough. She wants her money and wants it now!

Clinton supporters read the racist ignorant rants by Obama supporters, do we really want this man in the White House. Look at the hate he inspires, it's time to organize and say no to Obama and his hate filled supporters. Tell your friends and neighbors what Obama supporters are about, show them the posts here on CNN, show them the racism, the insults, the close minded hatred Obama supporters have toward anyone who doesn't agree with them. Is this what we want, four years of hatred, what kind of hope and change is that. It's time to go third party, don't put Obama in the White House. Do you want to be called a racist for the next four years, every time anyone disagrees with him, that's what happens, you're a racist. What a sick bunch of people, go read the posts about WV here on CNN, these people are vicious. Print them out, show everyone what Obama and his supporters are really about, We need to start a legitimate third party movement to keep this hate from taking over our country. If you want racism and ignorance read an Obama supporter's post.. Is this the kind of hope and change you want....I don't think so, hate and destruction seems to be more what they are about than anything else.

I am shocked at the some of these blogs. So much hate and so much intolerance. I guess our country has a long way to go. I am for Hillary because this is my right. I respect Obamas gifts, but Hillary is the best candidate for me. Hopefully, people will all learn through this process about racism and sexism....and voting on issues!!!!. Pelosi...said it clearly this isn't over. Be patient fellow Democrats. This will all work out in the end.

I think its funny that everyone is bad mouthing people from WV just because we don't want Obama for president. WV is an overwhelmingly a Democratic state and I just voted for Hillary (early voting).

Plus, most of the states that Obama won (like ND, WY) will be Republican in November so who cares if he won them. WV is a true swing state and moderates win here. Not ultra liberals like Obama. A moderate will win in November and I'm afraid most people will eventually vote for McCain.

Go Hillary!

I am so glad to see Obama is going to WV. All democratic voter are important if we want a different kind of America.
Please Obama supporters STOP the mean and nasty comments about Hillary. It is more important to be a good winner and be respectful to Hillary folks than it is to get in one last cheap shot. This does not help defeat McCain and that is the goal for all people who love America.
It is over for Hillary. Let her walk away with our best wishes.
Unite for America

I live close to West Virginia, and I can honestly say that people love making fun of the state... it seems to always be the "reject" of the country, because it's not a very diverse state by any means. It really is a very conservative state, and that's why Hillary will win there most likely. I hate to say it, but I don't think West Virginia is ready for an African American President. It's a shame it has come down to race, really.

At any rate, GO HILLARY! :D

Obama is getting unfairly positive press coverage.

Clinton is getting unfairly negative- even hateful- press coverage.

This will not play well for democrats in Nov.

Clinton has done nothing but good for her country and gets bashed for it.

Obama has done nothing but promise change and gets praised for it.

So who's biased again?

The really ironic part of the "if not Hillary, then I'm voting for McCain" crowd is that it simply proves that they are really enamored with the old style of politics in this country.

The backbiting and name-calling in this thread against Obama supporters is proof that HRC's divisive attacks can still influence the electorate who may fear any real change in our politics. And that's the real issue, isn't it?

Change is difficult, and that's why it's resisted so strongly in so many ways, both personally and politically. With Obama leading the country, there is a chance for a new way of "doing policy" - in a transparent, thoughtful, and carefully analyzed way.

No more posturing and threatening to obliterate nations, no more corporate back-room deals, no more "pre-emptive strikes" or authorized methods of torture. This is what happens under the old style...

It's time for a new perspective, where our divisions can be bridged, and the strengths we have historically shown to the world can be renewed. It's time for the U.S. to be respected again! And yes, we can!!

If Obama is the nominee, McCain will win the presidency. The politic life of Obama will be ended right after the race, since he let Democrats lose a good chance to come back to White House.
People have suffered 8 years of Bush, who care about another four years of McCain? If Hillary is not the nominee, many her supporters may not support Obama for sure.

Wow, you Obama supporters call everyone who doesn't vote for Obama racist! No, It's not about racism, it's about common sense, which, we have and you obviously you do not! You can call people from WV and KY ignorant and racist but the fact is we are not blind sided with a smooth talker that offers no real solutions and may-be he will be the nominee but our votes send a VERY clear message that in the GENERAL he will not have our vote, it will go for McCain, a true Patriot and someone who has ALWAYS been proud of this country! Oh, and by the way, I'm from LOUISVILLE and Mr. Obama has totally ignored us, while Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea has been here several times~Just shows, how much he does care about ALL the people.

How many times can Hillary change her argument?

I'm most qualified because I have experience ducking sniper fire.

I'm most qualified because I won some big states (those are the ones that really matter, after all).

I'm most qualified because I win the white vote (those are the ones that really matter, after all).

and then after she wins WV: I'm most qualified because I won some small states (those are the ones that really matter, after all).

The point is, after all votes are in, what really matters is the bottom line. It's not about taking the majority of the big states, the majority of the little states, the majority of the white vote or the majority of the black vote. It's about taking the majority of the vote; the math doesn't work out for Clinton because that majority goes to Obama.

Double standard

"ANYone BUT Clinton" is okay to say- even if you get ugly, nasty and vulgar about it.

"ANYone BUT Obama" is NOT okay to say. It is apparently RACIST. Even if you simply exercise your right to vote and say it.

IMPORTANT TO ALL OF CLINTON SUPPORTERS :

October 2007: "It's clear that this election they're having [in Michigan] is not going to count for anything," Hillary Clinton during an interview with New Hampshire Public Radio in
August 2007: Clinton adviser Harold Ickes voted to strip the rogue states (Michigan & Florida) of their delegates as a member of the DNC's Rules and Bylaws committee - "to prevent the gaming of the system,"
September 2007: Patti Solis Doyle, Former Clinton's campaign manager, pledged not to compete in either contest -. "We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process… and the DNC's rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role," "Thus, we will… adhere to the DNC-approved nominating calendar."
January 2004: Former DNC chairman–and current Clinton aide–Terry McAuliffe: "If I allow you to do that, the whole system collapses," (According to his memoir)."The closest [Michigan's delegates will] get to Boston will be watching it on television. I will not let you break this entire nominating process for one state. The rules are the rules.”

Today, I finally realized that the greatest and most wonderful thing the results of the primary elections has brought to me personally, is that I won't be reading the most mean-spirited, downright rude and cruel messages that people who support Barack Obama have, and do, put on these blogs -- about Hillary Clinton. This is a woman who has worked night and day for the good of her country -- our country -- in the fairest, best manner possible, and these ugly diatribes are what she gets as thanks.

This is a wonderful opportunity that CNN has done for us, yet even so, you all criticize it (or them) and call them names I'd be ashamed to say. I have been a supporter of Hillary and will always think of her kindly. I will continue to think of her opponent and supporters in a way I can't even admit in print. I hope your choice of candidates makes a good president, but when things go wrong for him -- it would do you well to think of all the mean and derogatory statements you have made about a fine woman who had the guts to try.

All of these people who keep saying they will vote McCain if their nominee is not whom they support need to wake up and realize they are both Democrats. There is not much difference between Senators Clinton and Obama. Whichever one wins, we, as Democrats, need to unite and make sure they are voted into the White House.

I support Obama, but I will vote for Clinton if she wins the nomination. I just hope we don't have another Roosevelt/Taft scenario. Don't sabotage your own party.

The problem with Dems is that they never see the big picture until it's too late, so they lose elections. Obama has done what he's needed to do to win this nomination fairly. Clinton got arrogant and fell asleep at the wheel. All of these opinons people have about who is better to lead is stupid, no one knows until the office is taken. So I say to all you Obama haters, suck it up and support your PARTY and not the PERSON. May the best PARTY win.

Hey marcelo I agree CNN use to be the meat and potatoes of cable news especially in a Presidential Election. There was the Spin Room Press and Carlson were great along with Crossfire. Where is Tony Snow he was on a couple of times and no where to be found. Instead we have to endure Cafferty, Borger, Toobin, Gergen and Martin. CNN has also taken a dive in nighttime ratings to from what I am reading. The tickers are a plus but after the race is over these blogs will be dead.

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. " -Winston Churchill-

After reading the blithering inanity of the people who post here at CNN, the truth of this quote becomes quite apparent. That goes double for Clinton supporters who, quite frankly, prove themselves to be uneducated and misinformed whenever they type a misspelled and grammatically incorrect sentence. If the past eight years were any indication of the sheer stupidity of the American electorate, then my suspicion is that the worst is yet to come.

Hillary has laid out the problem for the Democratic party. It is wrong, but it is true, an AA can not win the general election. If you are a Democrat and want to win the general election, you must vote for Hillary Clinton, who does have a chance to win in the fall. If you know any super delegates in your area, contact them , tell them you want them to suppport Clinton. Not only does Obama have a problem with the white vote, I live in Texas and I can tell you, he also has a problen with the Hispanic vote and McCain could poll between 40 to 50% of that vote. Obama could even lose California it McCain polled that number.

If Hillary goes independent, it would hurt her legacy that her and Bill built up.

I can't believe Hillary supporters are so "bitter" , people always want to change the rules when they can't win.

It's Hillary fault she lost it, she totally underestimated Obama's campaign, her camp(Penn, Solis) said would have it wrapped by Super Tuesday.

If people don't for vote Obama and vote for McCain you are going to deserve whatever you get. The war, tax cuts for the rich and more poverty and crime and more losses of job.
