WASHINGTON (CNN) - Against the backdrop of a stunning Texas sunset, near a lake on the Bush family's 1,600-acre ranch, President Bush walked his daughter, Jenna, down the aisle to her groom, the White House said.
Jenna, 26, married Henry Hager, the son of a well-connected Virginia Republican.
"The wedding was spectacular. It was all we could have hoped for," the president said Sunday before boarding Air Force One.
"We're mighty blessed."
Wearing a white silk organza Oscar de la Renta gown, the bride stood with the groom before a beige-colored cross and altar made of Texas limestone.

Congratulations on the nuptials! We can only hope that President Bush's grandchildren have higher IQ's than he does (dare we hope for "normal"?). It's a sad state of affairs when your IQ is the same as your approval rating.
I don't like Bush, but his family is very beautiful. I wish Jenna the very best on her journey through life.

This item belongs on the society pages of The Washington Post, not on CNN's Political Ticker ... unless maybe CNN is getting an early start in prommoting Laura, Jenna, or Barbara Bush for the presidency.
That might get a lot of play on the comedy talk shows. The country does need a break from the hysteria and viciousness of this nominating season. At least with one of the Bush-women, there'd be fewer people threatening to destroy the country if their candidate doesn't win the nomination.
Neither of the Bush daughters served in the military like many of our daughters and sisters. They were working on their degrees at Yale and UT Austin. Neither of Cheney's daughters served either. The children of those who plunged us into these wars have all had a nice life and have made no sacrifices. Neither have the husbands that they have so far acquired. It must be nice.
Many if not most of the supporters of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have not been called on to sacrifice anything themselves, anything personal. Also most of the voters who gave President Bush (not the good one, this one) a 90% approval rating back when we first invaded the land of that unlucky people now cannot remember ever supporting it.
I myself am a veteran, though no one ever shot at me, and my time of service was well before 9/11.
Not the I hate the "BUSHES" but .....
……I think many Americans are not interested in super-rich, ultra-powerful, people who live in a dream world getting married, whilst the bulk of the people in the country are going thru serious economic difficulties.
Please CNN, tell us about things that may be solutions to our problems, and not how happy those who walk in the corridors of power are enjoying their lives
