WASHINGTON (CNN) - Against the backdrop of a stunning Texas sunset, near a lake on the Bush family's 1,600-acre ranch, President Bush walked his daughter, Jenna, down the aisle to her groom, the White House said.
Jenna, 26, married Henry Hager, the son of a well-connected Virginia Republican.
"The wedding was spectacular. It was all we could have hoped for," the president said Sunday before boarding Air Force One.
"We're mighty blessed."
Wearing a white silk organza Oscar de la Renta gown, the bride stood with the groom before a beige-colored cross and altar made of Texas limestone.

its so wonderful to see this family the way they are; very close and happy together. it must have being an emotional day for Mr President as one of his percious treasures leave to bond with another. from the bottom of my heart, i wish the newly weds a happy married life and may the good Lord bless them as He did their parents.
while going through some internet pictures with regards to the wedding, there were some protesters at the texas ranch. why are some people so backward? what has Jenna's wedding got to do with the white house? if they so dislike the president, why don't they at least honor the young woman on her day?
some americans are so self serving, thoughtless and heartless. all they think about is themselves and no one else.

This is an interesting fact the minister that proceeded over the ceremony is none other that President Bush's friend and Sen. Obama supporter the Rev. Kirbyjohn Caldwell. Wow!!! This is the individual who if you can recall upset the homosexual community because he claimed Windsor Village had a ministry that helped people struggling with homosexuality to overcome it. Did I also mention he is a Sen. Obama supporter. Oh yes and he was the only black person at the ceremony!
As much as I think her father is an idiot, Jenna seems like a lovely young lady. The wedding looked like it was a beautiful event. Congratulations to her.
I don't know about the rest of you but I can't even listen to this family. They are disgusting! In fact, I become so angry just watching them act like this is the most important event of the century. I personally don't care what Jenna wears or her family. There are many sons and daughters who will never be married because their young lives were cut short due to this bloody family. There are many mothers who are not here to enjoy Mother's Day today and fathers who will not be around for Father's Day. I am outraged at the way they are acting. If he thinks this will take his ratings up and I will view him any differently, he is sadly mistaken. I think he underestimated the American people. We have not forgotten the blood spilled and the thousands of lives lost. I pray God will visit this family real soon. If I sound upset-I am!

Hey...idahosa, canada....obviously you don't know much about the Bush family. The fact that the groom worked for Karl Rove who tried to kill this country is enough said. Well, I am happy for the Bush's daughter, and I have no doubt it was a lovely wedding. And given the sadness of so many families of our soldiers will never see their own son or daughter married, it was entirely appropriate to make it a small affair.
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it creepy that she chose "You are so beautiful" as the song to dance with her Dad?
