I hope that ardent supporters of Hillary will follow her lead. If you note, that there has been little Obama bashing over the past few days. The Clintons are smart, and know what they are doing. It is more important that a Democrat wins this year than it is for Hillary to win in 2012. Don't do this yet again.

That's funny, since Obama and Clinton both stand for the same things, policy-wise. There is very little difference between the two of them.

It amazes me that 3-5% of a population (in this case Hillary supporters) talk like they represent 20-50%. If Hillary ran as an independent her total capture wouldn't be more than 12%. Yep that would work!
Check the "Head to Head " polls for president, she pols at 3-5% above him period, that's all!
If pollsters asked "If the nomination is stolen by one or the other candidaite in the primary who will you vote for?". If they did, right now Hillary would lose to Obama in the same polls by 25%, plain and simple!

Hilary & many of her supporters IMHO are looking out for they own self .. they don't really care what's best for the democratic party ...........

If you are a true democrat, you will back the democratic nominee no matter who they are ....

i have it high comedy when folks on this blog talk about clinton's "solutions". you do know that obama and hillary pretty much share the exact same solutions right? the difference between them is style and perspective. thats pretty much it. if you want to talk substantive, hillary had a chance to show her grasp of a very vital substantive issue with the gas tax holiday and she failed miserably. again her style was to pander to those misinformed folks who don't know simple economics. obama's perspective was one of experience of watching that idea fail miserably in his own state when he voted for it. he used his experience to make the better judgment and call the gas tax holiday idea the boondoggle shell game it is. so hillary with all her "experience" decided to pander to folks and obama with all of his supposed lack of experience decided to use better judgment and tell the truth. hillary was trying to score political points and obama was trying to be truthful. whom do you want for president again? peace be unto you!

"the debate in Philly was awesome. boy was Obama weak.
Btw why does he say uh so much?"

2 answers:

1. He appears to sometimes THINK about answering the actual question rather than throw out a canned response that doesn't really address the question.

2. He's been raked over the coals before for making statements that are true but worded awkwardly. Hillary's equivalent is "you know," but I think most politicians have to choose their words carefully as they are held to very high standards on every word that comes out of their mouths.

Wow. Did Bayou Joe just make a referrence to us being under islamic rule if Clinton is not elected? You have got to be kidding me. Why is it so many ignorant Americans are convinced that Barack Obama is from the nation of Islam? The man is an American through and through. If you are all true patriots and truly Democratic or Republican, you will vote for whoever the nominee of your PARTY is. Don't be a sad susie and vote against your best interests because you want some silly vengeance. You are the same people who voted for Bush two terms and now consider him one of the worst presidents in history. Grow up!

FOR ALL YOU BLOGGERS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF " LOSING HIS BEARINGS" AND MISINTERPRETING IT AS IF OBAMA WAS REFERING TO "MCBUSH'S" AGE SHOULD CONSIDER GOING BACK TO SCHOOL TO OBTAIN THEIR HIGH SCHOOL G.E.D. IT IS VERY SAD TO SEE SOME OF US (WHITES) ARE IGNORING THE FACT THAT THIS YOUNG BLACK MAN WOULD BE A VERY GOOD PRESIDENT FOR THE U.S.A INSTEAD OF TRYING TO VOTE FOR HIM FOR A NEW BEGINNING FOR AMERICA, SOME PEOPLE ARE VOTING AGAINST HIM BECAUSE HE IS BLACK. THOUSAND OF OUR KIDS ARE BEEN KILLED IN IRAQ BECAUSE BUSH, McCAIN AND HILLARY LIED TO THE COUNTRY AND THAT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU POEPLE TO KICK THEM OUT OF WASHINGTON? POEPLE WAKE UP. VOTING FOR BUSH THE FIRST TIME WAS A MISTAKE, THE SECOND TIME WAS DUMB, THE THIRD FOR MCBUSH WILL BE STUPIDITY.

Every time I think I may be willing to vote for Obama, I turn on cable news and am repulsed by how the anchors and pundits smear Hillary Clinton; and my resolve to support her returns. Yesterday a rumor by Bernstein was rephrased as "she's muscling her way into...". There is no need for Obama to attack Hillary Clinton when the media does it for him. The vicious self-serving shrew she is portrayed as by the media is not the woman I see the few times the media bothers to televise her. Maybe Obama doesn't want another debate because more people will see her as she actually is.

Obama often says the American people are smarter than we give them credit for. Does he really think so when his campaign is based on allowing others to do his dirty work for him while he makes moving speeches and keeps his hands clean?

Remeber 2004 when the media helped "swift boat" and create the flip flopping image of the Democratic candidate. Look who we ended up with as a result. Obama is not Bush, but I think he should have waited four more years instead of learning on the job the way our last president did.

Mccain will be 72 if he is elected. 72, now most every 72 year old I know or have known is not quiet as "there" as someone in their 40s, 50s, or even 60s. You lose a lot with age, so give me a reason to disprove this? Also, Mccain's temper....

I notice certain people are defending HRC's recent comments about needing " hardworking, hardworking white Americans to win in Nov. ". Well let me 1st say as an African American, I do not believe them to be racist. Pero, whats good for the goose is good for the Gander. The same people defending HRC now were the same ones crying like little punks over the bitter comment. Like a famous politician once said, "Politics is a contact sport baby".

This is so sad. I understand dissapointment, but ask yourself this. Are you voting for a person or are you voting for issues? Are you a Democrat? Does anyone here believe that McCain's values are closer to that of Clinton's than Obama's are? If you do, please leave the party. We don't need you here.

'What happened to the comments made by Obama out there in San Francisco regarding how the Pennsylvania people cling to religion, guns, and anti-immigration. How can that conceivably be "treats his countrymen/woman with the respect and intelligence they deserve?"

Any response?'

Sure, Pete. He was empathizing with people whose jobs had moved away and were economically hard hit. He was criticizing Washington for not better addressing this problem, leading many to view promises of change with cynicism. Obama is religious, so it's hard to see how you could argue him knocking religion. Ultimately his point was that IF the economy is issue #1, there needs to be a breakthrough in making people realize they should vote for their economic interests over issue such as gun rights or anti-immigration. I agree it was poorly worded, and I believe he has mentioned that on a number of occasions. The economic interest argument is the thing he has refused to back away from, and rightly so. Cheers.

The Hillary supporters are just as ridiculous as Clinton. If I can't win, then I will ruin the party at all costs. Republicans must be laughing at the childishness demonstrated by Clinton and her supporters because according to Rasmussen, Pew Research Center, the democrats have the voter turnout necessary to get a Democratic WhiteHouse from the head to the tail. Also, I am sick of people screaming about Florida and Michigan. It is amazing that when Clinton thought she was winning, Florida and Michigan did not matter. Now that she is behind, oh let their voices count. Stop being tools.

You say that the media influenced the less affluent, uneducated in this race. Well, isn't this the base that votes for Sen. Clinton?

That'd be interesting though I see a lot of the Clinton supporters believed her slander...incredible. He's done plenty and is MORE experienced and better judgment than Hillary so...go ahead...vote for McCain. He isn't the maverick that he was in 2000...he's a Bush clone now with a 95% voting record that matches Bush's requests! Can you live with that?

If Hillary ran as an independent she would have my vote and 14 Million others in a heartbeat.

Either way, I will be writing her name in.

Why?

She is the best candidate out there to lead us through the mess we find ourselves in.

I thought the goal was to get a democrat in the white house?

I see the polls that say that lots of obama followers would vote for hillary if she won... but hillary supporters wont vote for obama if he wins. That's down right ridiculous. They're basically the same person with minor policy differences. Obama can just make better speeches and get young people involved (which gets more votes). I am a Hillary supporter but since it looks like Obama will probably be the democratic nominee.. I'll unite with my party and take back the white house from the republicans. All of you other hillary supporters who want to stay home are just morons in my opinion. You're only hurting yourself.

Heres my take on this article, a lot of people are hurt. I can understand, a lot of people are scared of what they don't know. Some are "bitter"(Lol) that Obama is going to win and they're respective candidate isn't. Well, life isn't fair. But I'd hope so many of you would show yourself to be intelligent human beings and not get in the gutter. But as I've seen, most supporters take on the mentality of those they support. As far as the ageism, those arguments make me sick, there is none. People are just trying to find little BS to make him look bad because through issues and personality they can't. As far as the HRC supporters saying they'll go to McCain, I've got 2 points. 1st, if you really would do that, then you are not supporting HRC for her policies. You're supporting her because she is a woman, or because she Billy's wife. I say this because she and Obama are 95% the same on issues. So if you will cut off your nose 2 spite your face.....So be it. It's YOUR face. If through vindictiveness you vote against your interests you will have done more to prove you are mostly "Uneducated voters" more than any pundit or candidate ever could.....

What makes you think that Obama is the best candidate to be president. He was elected to 2 years in the Illinois senate, and recently was elected as a US Senator. 1 year in Washington, he decides that... what... being a US Senator is not good enough. He wants the top job. Please, not another president who will surround himself with knowledgeable people....that hasn't worked in the past 7 years.
Change can be a great thing, but real change doesn't happen over night. It takes knowledge, patience and fortitude to get the right kind of changes done.

A debate between McCain and Obama? That should be exciting-neither one of them can talk on their feet, and McCain can't even deliver a written speech. Woe to America if these two are our choice! We need someone who is confident, knowledgeable, and willing to take on Washington! Obama has done nothing in the Senate-why would you think he can unite the houses and get anything done, not that he has ever spoken of any real plans to begin with. He has lots of cute catch-phrases...but where's the beef? Stay the course, Hillary!

Why are Senator Obama's people hanging around the courthouse where the Rezko trial has been taking place? Is Obama worried about his very close connection and dealings with Tony Rezko? After all, $625,000 was a lot of money to spend on an empty lot next to Obama's mansion, especially when Rezko said he was flat broke and was already under investigation. Interesting situation.

Obama is making plans to debate McCain before he is actually officially named a Dem. nominee. Is that a joke?
The whole Democratic Primaries campain is a total JOKE!
DNC should be replaced.
This shameful experience called '2008 Democratic Primaries' will go into history books and comic books. It's a farce, not elections.
Party bosses have decided long before Iowa caucases who they wanted to be a nominee - Obama - and they did everything to tailor schedules and negative towards Hillary press releases to help Obama.

But Hillary is a good fighter and has good chance to still win this nomination.
Remaining primaries' voters - Please VOTE for Hillary Clinton! The only qualified candidate!

I do not encourage any Hillary Clinton supporter to stay home or to vote for McCain (unless you truly believe he is the best choice).

I suggest that we all request absentee ballots and WRITE IN Hillary Clinton.

That way we follow our conscience by voting for the best qualified to lead our great country- and do not waste our ONE vote.

I must say many of these comments are funny. So, let me address a few.

First, the HRC strategy was flawed. There was no plan after SuperTuesday and she has $23M saved for a Presidential race. Why? She underestimated her opponent and the American people. Think of what would have happened if she was President.

Second, Sen. Obama is capturing the African American vote. This is the same or similiar total that has supported the Democratic party for years. This is a non-issue if Obama was White. The question is why has HRC lost the black support. SHE TOOK IT FOR GRANTED. Less than one year ago, she lead Obama by 30+ points among African Americans.

Third, Please review the DNC strategy of 50 states. It is not big state-little state. Take a look a the swing states- this was the original SuperDelegate support for Obama. If you think some of the states like MA, NY, CA and PA are going to swing Republican than let me point out facts. CA and MA has been democrat for some time. NY- if Obama was to lose this state HRC would be in a real hot seat. If Obama was to lose PA- Rendell would be in a real hot seat.

Fourth, MI and FL understood the rules. HRC and Obama agreed to these rules. If Sen. Clinton was winning would they count. It was not a big issue until after she started losing.

Finally, the Clintons have had many more scandals than Obama. Lets be real. From Pres. Clinton getting a BJ in the Oval Office, the current case in CA, and the list goes on.

So, for all the folks saying they will not back Obama. That is fine. Don't complain when things get worse.

Is Barack Obama ashamed of the hardworking low-income uneducated African Americans that support him? Are they racist for voting for Obama?

Then why do the Obama supporters feel that Hillary should be ashamed of her hardworking blue collar white supporters? Why are they labeled racist?

What is the difference? Why the double standard? And why all the hatred and namecalling insults from the Obama camp?

I think Obama going to win the Stupid Democratic nominee but Hillary going to win in general election and Presidency. Do your guy know why
Obama win Stupid Democratic nominee? because most of black people
vote too many time and their across the State to vote again that's why.
If Democratic never learn their going to see Republican sit in the White
House again.

Kelly, where have you been? Over the last month actually up until 5/7/08, it was Barack who was being beat down by the media. I am sure your fingers are tired after typing that long blog which is so incorrect.

Nonsense!

Hillary the Gimmick Candidate can sell her NY home to fund her Independent campaign. It's not like we're re-electing her in the state of NY anyway :D

I think we should change the rule since Hillary the Gimmick Candidate LOVE changing rules. :D Let her run as an Independent and all her die-hard super delegates should also switch parties and with one clean sweep this November, kick the old guards out of Washington with their do-nothing selves.

THAT will be a CHANGE for real!

Let's Roll !!!! :o

Hillary Clinton, the Gimmick Candidate
Bill and Hillary, The Gimmick Family
Do and Say Anything '08 ! :D

judyc,

You are a wise person, and THINKING person, which the polls show are in Obama's corner. Hillbots are not the most educated of the bunch - critical thinking and analyst skills taught in college are way above their comprehension skills.

Alot of Republicans are going to come over and join the party. I'm trying to picture what possible excitement there could be at a Republican Rally. I hope they don't copy Obama's slogan like Hillary did and say "Yes we will." Maybe the Republicans can say, "Yes we won't."

Obama '08
