What an amazing campaign it has been. Who would have thought Barack Obama, a freshman senator, coming out of nowhere, would beat the Clintons (Hillary and Bill – an ex-president).

I know he gave a good speech. Didn't know he can also run a remarkable campaign.

I know the first time I heard Obama, I said to God – this is the man – he will turn this country around. I don't ask for much, but when I do ask, He usually granted my wish – and this time, it's no different. It's not the end yet, but the force is with him.

Of course, getting Obama to the White House is only half the struggle. We sure need a lot of work to rebuild this country. But Obama is best bet. As in most crisis, a leader will emerge – and this time, it's Obama. He can sense the pain around the country, speak out about it, bring the country together, and we all have together to turn this country around.

We have to break the habit of being divisive. We can't afford it. America can't afford it. America is losing ground. This is what Obama understands. This is what Hillary fails to understand and that's why she is losing. She doesn't understand the needs of the time.

By all means Hillary Clinton has the right to remain in the race. At the end of the day we look at the math and that will determine the winner. I don't know what they are going to do about Florida and Michigan. I think it is unfortunate that things turned out the way that it did. If the people of MIchigan should be upset with anybody it should be their political leaders who decided to move the election up inspite of being told of the consequence for doing so. I also think it is ridiculous for Hillary to fight so hard for those delegates when she agreed in the beginning of the primaries (when she was so confident that she would be the nominee) that those votes would not count and at that time she wasn't all that concerned about the people in Florida and Michigan being disenfranchised. But that aside. What I find to be quite amusing is that the people of the United States of America have voted and according to those votes Obama is ahead by all measures and should be the nominee but the Hillary Clinton supporters are saying Yeah all of those people vted for him but they don't count because it is not inline with what we won't. Therefore, in the democratic party we are the ones who matter not all of those folks who voted for Barack Obama. I also think it is quite interesting that throughout the primaries when the race was really tight people kept saying how there were not any major differences in the policies of the two campaines. That there is more difference between Mcain and Hillary or Obama than between HIllary and Obama. Yet the Hillary supporters are saying that they would vote for McCain. That doesn't make much sense to me. Why would you desert the democratic nominee who legitimately won the nomination to support a candidate for the US president whose stance on the most major issues of our time is a complete deviation from where we stand on the issues. Can someone explain that to me.

If Hillary doesn't get the nomination, Obama loses in November. Amazing how clueless some people are about what will happen in November against McCain. See Kerry 2004 against Bush. I don't belong to a political party, but I do want to be a responsible voter in the general election, and I don't know now who I will vote for. My state does not let Independents vote in the primary, so I haven't voted for anyone at all yet.
I am somewhat worried about the people who favor Mr. Obama on comment pages like this. They are all so mean sounding, full of hate, making not just negative comments, but truly vicious comments, about the other candidates (Mr McCain and Ms Clinten). Is it a good idea to have people like this "in charge"? They make hate groups look like tea parties! Do they talk that way to people who can see who they are? Is this representative of Mr. Obama's views of the electorate??? Does he talk like that in private to his supporters? Another hidden factor pushing superdelegates away from Hillary is "Florigan" or "Michida"—or whatever we should call these scofflaw states that moved up their primaries in defiance of party rules. Out of desperation, Hillary is putting all her chips on the injustice done to Floridians and Michiganders, even though she said early in the process that their votes "shouldn't count." Never mind the hypocrisy here. Never mind that Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe was the one who first insisted the rules be enforced. (When Michigan Sen. Carl Levin wanted to move up that state's primary in 2004, McAuliffe, then party chairman, screamed at him: "If I allow you to do that, the whole system collapses! The rules are the rules." This is from McAuliffe's own memoirs.) The problem for Hillary is that party officials in the other 48 states don't give a rat's patootie about seating Florida and Michigan. In fact, they're angry at those states for jumping the line, then whining about it.
