As an independent voler, it is sad to see the back and forth between Obama and Clinton supporters. Both camps have been wrong. I have read many of the post from both sides and both sides have been nasty. The competition has been fierce. Only one side can win. If your candidate did not win then be gracious in defeat.

Very glad to see Obama is using his time so wisely.

Sorry guys, but the West Virginia and Kentucky primaries are totally irrelevant - those states are going red in the fall anyway no matter who is the Democratic nominee.

West Virginia only has five electoral votes in the general. BFD.

I think the Obama crew still don'y underrstand us, Hillary supporters. Out convictions have NOTHING to do WIth OBAMA's supporters, and thei rmean spirited ways. WE don't want a junior senator in his first term, who can only talk a good talk running the most powerful nation in the world (Notice RACE wasn't a factor). McCain is Most centrist then most Republican and has several good ideas and at the experience to back up his presidential campaign. That's what this is about. period.

People should treat each other like they want to be treated. I am guilty, Hiilary is guilty, Barak is guilty, everyone reading this is guilty.

You only have yourself to blame if you vote for McCain and things stay the same or get worse. At what time do you you change jobs because it costs more to get to work then you make? That is what we have to look forward if we keep the status quo.

Obama has a lot of nerve coming to Florida. He lost the primary to HIllary Clinton and cried about it. He refused to allow our votes to be counted (since he lost the first time) and he also blocked a re-vote. His supporters among our Congressional delegation also blocked a re-vote and did nothing to see that our primary votes counted.

Obama is the nominee because Florida's and Michigan's voters were disenfranchised. No one in Florida, Democrat or Republican should vote for Barack Obama. He allowed the Democratic process to be subverted in a Democracy. Vote for John McCain or sit home if you have to.

"Obama is backed by every democrat who was rejected by the American voters". Do you mean our public officials who are in office? Somebody voted for them, they're in office. THey may not be our President but they are leaders in this country and somebody voted them in. Why does Hillary care about FL and MI now? She said you didn't matter when she was in the lead. Hate makes you think illogically doesn't it. There is no way Hillary can win without Obama's supporters. Hillary's supporters willl vote for whoever wins the nomination. Their other choice is McCain who will cause them to lose more jobs, more homes, inability to go to school, higher gas prices, higher food costs, no hope for health insurance, send their loved ones to war, and privatize their social security benefits. Now why would they hurt themselves or their families. And remember as long as he has most delegates, most states won, and popular vote, the DNC can't steal the nomination and give it to Hillary. Hillary's supporters can say anything they want. Numbers don't lie and polls don't win an election.

I've never followed the crowd as they sold themselves out just to be part of the in "cool" crowd.

I've always looked deeper for the substance of the person.

Hillary Clinton at 60 is plenty cool for me. And all of the best people know it.

I am so proud of you Obama. Thanks for the superdelegates for keeping it real and moving on with this election. To you Hillary fans you will need to get it together and unite now. Hillary is still a politician and she will still encourage you to vote for Obama. If you are really a fan of hers and want to turn this country around you need to vote for Obama.

Lets keep it real. 90 percent of you would not have voted for Hilliary if Bill wasnt president. Bill is not running for president she is. Obama has ran this race fair and square.

Go Obama

ABG - What about the voters = popular vote (yes, even with FL & MI if you want to argue those)? Do they not reflect what the nation has chosen for the Democratic candidate?

How do we keep saying that he's the weaker candidate when he has more votes nationwide?

Please explain. You guys sound like Bush in 2000 even after Gore had more votes.

Obama is winning in every category even with FL & MI. How is he STILL not the choice for the Democratic party. The people voted for him.

Hillary deserves no respect and neither do those who support her. Everyone needs to be respected for who they support. People want to play the blame game now and its silly. Those of you who don't support Obama dont even have a good reason. If you can support someone with no integrity, have told so many lies and is so deceitful then I wouldn't want your vote. He might not win the general as you all say, but neither will she and that will make me happy!!!!

I see a lot of good comments on this blog which I enjoy reading to further enrich my perspective. But honestly, there are a lot of comments which are ill-conceived, pointless, hateful, and serve no constructive purpose.

And if anyone wants to vote for McCain, go for it. Four more years of Republican rule is fine with me.

The Obama people are starting to realize that WRITING Hillary Clinton in in Nov is a viable option. Anyone can exercise that option.
It is a real threat to an Obama win.

So now they are starting to call for unity?

Why should I unite with democrats who have shown themselves to be vitriolic, divisive, vulgar and evil?

That goes against the very premise of voting democratic.

Write in Hill for a Nov Win

Anything the voters have to say ain't worth crap!

I re-registered as an Independent TODAY!

I will be writing in Hillary's name on the November ballot.

But ofcourse, its obamas fault MI and FL moved up their primaries. Its his fault that he abided by the DNC rules and he has done all this time and removed his name from the MI primary. Ofcourse its his fault that some of his fault that some of his fans post the way they do here on this blog.

Sorry that he's trying to bring the party together by reaching out to these voters. Hillary supporters open your eyes and get rid of the hate that she had put in you, first you blame him for MI breaking DNC rules than you blame him for trying to bring the party together and lastly u blame him for not counting the MI delegates. Why should he allow it? His name wasn't even on the ballot.

You say he can't win in GE than how is he winning in every major metric category out there. If only blacks were voting for him than how is he leading in popular vote?

Open your eyes and unit behind the person who has run the fairest and best managed campaign out there.

Earlier, Robert Malley – an unpaid Middle East policy adviser to the Obama campaign – resigned after hearing the Times of London was planning to report on his meetings with Hamas in his role as head of the International Crisis Group. Obama himself has said that he would not meet with the Palestinian group.

I have noticed that supporters of the Clinton campaign keep hounding the Obama camp for the Florida and Michigan state of affairs. They both knew what the DNC said to these states about early voting; yet, they went ahead. Now, there is whining and complaining by the Hillary camp. Is the DNC the tail or the head of the current process?. Why wasn't there sound objections prior, to the position of the DNC?
I suspect that the Clintons are learned lawyers; so why the grumbling?
Changing rules as the game goes on is like a shell game.

The childish " I will not vote if he wins ", does not wash, period. By the same token, Hillary needs the support of all who supported Edwards, Richardson , Obama etc, if she wins. Grow up!. If this is the approach to getting away from another four years of being Bushwacked, then continue down this arrogant path, democrats.

Another observation; Hillary's campaign finances. She claims the support of so many voters, yet, her campaign finances is suffering. Lending her campaign, on two occasions, a total of $11.4 million, is an ominous sign, of fiscal mis-management, as well as an unwillingness of her supporters to put their money when they endorse her.

Lastly, someone commented about Obama asking Hillary in the future, about running as VP. Well, this was never an issue contemplated by Obama. As a matter of fact, it was Hillary in her arrogance who entertained the idea of a joint ticket, but she would be the presidential candidate. Obama's response to that deliberate attempt to put him in his place, was, " I am not running for VP".

The following is from a Hillary supporter-Hill Will:

"Obama so brushed my vote away when he mocked and jeered, ridiculed and belittled the candidate that supercedes him in every way.

Only the small and the inferior need to advance themselves by belittling and demeaning others.

Take a lesson you Obama supporters who call everyone else racist and stupid and inbred and uneducated.

It speaks more about YOU- than about the subject of your vitriol."

THAT IS VITRIOL; why continue what yoiu accuse others of doing.?

What Obama supporters don't understand is that many Senator Clinton supporters feel she was cheated from the early parts of this campaign.

It was Michelle Obama who first brought up race. It was Iowa when they didn't think they would win the caucus. She said, 'There ain't no black people here." People are naive to think Clinton supporters will just fall in line and vote Obama. And while there may be GOP voters posting in disguise to say they will vote McCain over Obama, don't bet the bank that they all are.

Many voters (approx. 16 million) identify with Hillary. Women and brave, smart men—of all ethnicities and any age—who get that it’s in their self-interest to elect her. She’s better qualified. Yes, 35 years. Would you tell Eleanor Roosevelt that be experience as First Lady meant nothing?

Senator Clinton is a high-profile candidate with an enormous grasp of foreign- and domestic-policy nuance, dedication to detail, ability to absorb staggering insult and personal pain while retaining dignity, resolve, even humor, and keep on keeping on. Also, yes, let’s hear it for her connections and funding and party-building background, too. Obama was awfully glad about those when she raised dough and campaigned for him to get to the Senate in the first place.

All the losers from Hillary team will now join up with McLame team.

Losers attracted to Losers.

You backed a losing Team in the Primaries and you will back a losing team in the General Election.

And the pain continues....Cry now.....Cry in November

We'll, I see there are some West Virginians that don't agree with Hillary Clintons Gas Tax Proposal. I also read in the L.A. Times that some West Virginians didn't like the statement "uneducated, hard working american, white americans" either. That statement about uneducated white americans, and hard working white americans was a bold, racist statement to make since she had left out AA, Latin Americans, Asia Americans, Native Americans. She really is say that those votes don't count. That's is a slap in the face since Florida is AA, Lations, Asia, Native American as well as Michigan.

She saying that the intelligent folks in theses state votes don't count because we're not uneducated. Well, Hillary we need to cook you somehting to eat too. Even the uneducated knows difference between a racist statement and the truth too.

The shift to the general election will be known tomorrow night based on the voter turnout. If the turnout is small, then it's a sign that people are done with the primary and consider it over and then move on. If there is a large voter turnout, I wouldn't be surprised if Obama spends more time in Kentucky and Oregon next week than he otherwise would.

Another thing. For those of you who continue crying about the Michigan and Florida votes- who gives a crap. They broke the rules, they pay the penalty. The only reason Clinton won those, or at least Michigan since I, in all fairness have not investigated Florida, is because Obama and other big candidated RETRACTED their names from the ballot since they were breaking the rules. Who else are they gonna vote for, a no name??

Robert in Toronto,

From one Canadian to another. I agree with you 100%.

To all of those Clinton supporters, who keep spouting that they will vote McCain if their candidate loses, please, take your votes and just go away! To other interested parties, Barack is going to get a huge boost from, guess where?........The Evangelicals will be coming out big time for Barack.

By the way, do you folks realize that Barack is doing almost no campaigning in West Virginia? Do you know why? Could it be that he wants Hillary to win really big in this state (and the same will apply to the remaining states) so that she will be able to stand in the limelight, even if it is just for a little while? But even with this, she has no chance. If Hillary should steal this nomination from Barack, I predict a revolt in the good old USA!

I don't blam Obama for the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan. After all it was not his fault those states broke the rules. However there's no way he's going going to win either. People in those states are bitter and rightfully so. The DNC has successfully silenced those people. How do they expect to garner Democratic support in November when you shut them out in the primary? If we've learned anything from 2000 and 2004 it would be don't fumble Florida. It's too late.

It is implausible that so many can support a candidate who outright lies and attributes it to sleep deprivation. I cerntainly do not want Hillary answering the phone at 3am. Give it up with Floriday and Michigan. They broke the rules. If you don't like it, change the rules for the next primary. I do not want a president who can change laws and apply them retroactively but Hillary has certainly proven she is capable of doing anything that advances her agenda.

I'm a registered republican who will be voting for Obama in the fall. I'll be honest if Hillary would have got the nomination I wouldn't have even considered for a second voting democrat in the November. McCain lost his credibility as a "centrist" around February when he was trying to paint himself as the conservative candidate.
The independent block of voters who will decide this race will not even consider voting for McCain in the fall when the general election really kicks off and Obama brands him as the pandering hypocrite that he really is. Folks its not even gonna be close. Obama's gonna win about 60-40.

Obama's work is all for nought----Hillary is going to run as an Independent and hand the election over to McCain. She's got a ton of money that she can't use in the primaries but can use in the general election. The Obamarites will rue the day they bad mouthed her.

For those who are still screening for Hillary,

Have you already forgotten:

1. The Clinton impeachment?
2. The Clinton scandals that cost the democrats years to regain their footings, thanks to Bush?
3. The dirty "baggage that Hillary brings with her?
4. How over 50% of people in this nation really "hate" Hillary as a person? This is personal for some people.
5. How much the Republicans want to get back at the Clintons.

Let us face it, had it not been to the negative high ratings of Bush, and the large crowd brought in by Obama, the democrats would have had no chance against the Republicans because of the Clinton years.

Just look back: Iowa placed Hillary in the Third place!!!! Wake up people.

Obama drop out. You have no real plan and are a copycat and the Black are voting race. Clinton hit the nail on the head. But is getting criticized and you are doing much worse things than she is. With 90% of the black vote sounds like race voting to me.. Shame on you........

I can't believe how dumb some Clinton supporters are. I figure Obama will pick up the intelligent ones but the ignorant ones will either not vote or write in Clinton or even not vote. Its a shame that the democrats have such sore losers.

Get rid of your notion that Obama is not electable. Hilla-cackle is?

Get rid of your idea that she is ready on day one. Oh-noez.... sniper fire!

What a laughable candidate and what sheep that support her.

If Democrats unite behind our candidate, we will win in the fall. If they do not, we will not. It's that simple.

Do not be swayed by those urging a write in campaign. Obviously those people want McCain to win. They are not Democrats. Most likely, they are unethical Limbaugh Operation Chaos operatives.

Please follow Hillary Clinton's lead when she throws her full support behind Senator Obama.

Wow. Why go to FL and MI now? I'd wait till after the convention.

Will these campaign events be open to the general public?
I'm thinking Obama will face some tough questions from the disenfranchised.

I'm sad that he didn't okay Rendell and Crozine's offer to fundraise for re-votes in both states.

Even if he didn't win, he'd still be the nominee. And he'll need happy voters in both states come November.

Anyone in politics knows this much:

Obama was running just for visibility and to let voters come to know him. He would then have been the VP choice for Hillary.

But Obama tried to fast track himself and got greedy and went for the gold ring.

He did not care if this hopelessly fractured the democratic party and did not care if that mean't a loss in Nov.

So blame selfish Obama.

It is HILL-arious that people keep saying Obama is the one playing dirty politics when Clinton has been relying on fear and prejudice to support her cause that she is the more 'electable' candidate. Why is she more 'electable'? Is it simply because she believes the American people are all only uneducated, racist, backwoods country folk and white candidate is less frightening? What about the other huge percentage that do happen to be educated? Why would she not attempt to make that her supposed base?
All I have heard from Obama is the need for change, and for the country to unite. I haven't heard him saying that he is simply more electable but not citing why. Shes playing off of Americas fears stemming from a past about 50 years old.

The majority of Clinton supporters will support Obama in November…

Some will not, but I think most realize the stakes, and put that above sour grapes and petty jealousy.

However, most of the folks who keep repeating they won't support Obama on this blog will probably stick to their word.
They can congratulate themselves if Obama loses, and smirk for a bit. They can also pat themselves on the back when the
US troop casualty count comes in each month, and feel proud they help perpetuate that. They can smile to themselves as
the dollar continues to weaken and friends and family can't find blue collar jobs in America, and know they had a hand
it that too. As more conservative judges are appointed to the supreme court, they can laugh to themselves and say "yeah,
but we sure taught the DNC a leason, didn't we?"

So be proud Obama haters, you are the true Americans aren't you?
