(CNN) - As voters headed to the polls in West Virginia in a contest Hillary Clinton is expected to win, a memo released by her campaign argued that Barack Obama had waged an “aggressive campaign” in the state – and that a loss by the Illinois senator there would raise troubling questions about his general election chances.
"In the face of grim poll numbers, the Obama campaign has attempted to dismiss today's outcome despite the fact that Sen. Obama has outspent us on advertising, has more staff in the state, and more than double the number of offices,” said the campaign in an e-mail sent to reporters Tuesday.
“He has also benefited from the support of the most high-profile endorsers in West Virginia-Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Congressman Nick Rahall. By every measure, the Obama campaign has waged an aggressive campaign in the Mountain State," they said.
The Obama campaign has been looking to downplay the results of West Virginia’s vote, spending the evening in Michigan, a fall battleground. Obama trails Clinton by 30-40 points in recent polls of the state’s primary voters.

Clinton lost by INCREDIBLE Margins in Idaho and Hawaii, but I guess those states aren't all that important. They're no West Virginia after all!
He went there for one day. Wow! Thats aggressive? Hillary, give it a rest. We all know that 80% of the state loves your husband, so of course you with all your political ties are going to win. But, your fake promises weren't enough to blind everybody. Some of us saw straight through you and chose not to accept anymore deceit and corruption in the White House. Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye. White house interns are safe for another 4 years.
The Clintons are so arrogant they feel they can say anything and make up the rules as they go along. If she were to win the Dem nomination she'd have much more trouble getting the A.A. vote, the educate vote, etc. I've had friends in West Virginia working for Obama and they all say tey have never encountered such racism, that many voters say they just won't vote for a black man. Same happened in Indiana. And, ironically, many of the white W.A. males say they won't vote for a woman- so it will be interesting to see how the polls play out.
I just know I will be glad when the Clintons just go away. I'm sick of them. BUT- they won't; they'll try to strong-arm Obama into putting her on the ticker as V.P. And by doing so he will lose my vote and, despite what the so-called latest polls say- a great many votes.
What majority did you poll? Bill, Chelsea, her mom and the dog?
Get real.... I was a Clinton supporter until it became so apparent that her goal was to satisfy her ego and became so negative that it may tear apart the party. I wish that she would go AWAY fast!!!!!!! I'm tired of her and any story related to her. it's time to unify and rally around our nominee Obama and set our sights on McBush ( I mean MCain).

Health Care is important to Me, Domestic programs for the Children, the economy is important. Barack has no health care plan for all Americans and the DNC and the media decided to chose him and try to throw Hillary under the bus.
Obama supporters are right for the first time in their lives. The Democrates are destroyed. I don't care what happens but I am not voting for Barack. We don't even have the same beliefs and I don't know this guy at all. He refuses to debate so we can find out more about him. Something is just not right about this guy and the whole process.

Obama has 1879, Clinton has 1699. He is 146 delegates short of the nomination. There only 200 (ish) delegates left in the primaries and the rest are for the supers to decide. He has gotten over 30 superdelegates since Indiana.
There are no kingmakers, this race is over. Clinton should really gather the few remnants of political dignity she has left and go home.

In regards to WV and KY, everyone knows that regardless of Obama's education, intellect, and good decision making abilities, some people are not going to vote for him because of his skin color and race card playing Hilary knows this, but the people of these states don't know she'll play what ever card will benefit her, yesterday it was the african american card, so today it is the un-educated white americans. As we all read through the sea of posts following all of these stories it's hard not to notice some of the stark comments made from supporters of both candidate, occasionally getting down right belligerent. It's become increasingly clear exactly how divisive this primary season has become and I start to wonder exactly what it is we are so vigorously defending? Both Hillary and Obama share very similar ideologies on the "issues", both have similar voting records (sans Iraq war vote of course), and both seem to have little real experience, although plenty of exposure. More than anything I am scared this attitude we have begun to adopt is deterring us from the realization that the country stands on a very precarious cliff with 8 years of momentum driving it into a downward spiral. If we can all agree on we’ve had distaste for the last 8 years why can't we decide on a future for the next 4?

I don't see Obama as having campaigned hard. Sure, he campaigned there, but the Clinton spin would have you believe he was treating WV like it was a must win. HRC's camp is treating WV like it is this major deal, but blow off bigger deals like last Tuesday. IN and NC were just as big, but Hill-Billy wants you to believe that WV is make or break.
