I hope Obama is not taking things for granted that he's already clinched the nomination.

He did not vigorously compete in W.Virginia like in other places which shows that he's sort of complacent.

Anyway, he should NOT think that strange events cannot happen overnight that could change the whole picture.

Watch it Obama.

I am listening to CNN and the "top political adivors" on both Dem and Rep sides. First, let me say as a resident of Michigan, "NO our delegates should NOT BE SEATED at ther DNC!" It is not the fault of the rest of America or the fault of the DNC that our votes do not count. It is the responsibility of our Governor and the elected officials of our state!" SHAME ON THEM! Of course, Hillary would like the "INVALID" votes to count as she was the only one on the ballot! It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what is behind all that thought process! I am not a registered Democrat nor Republican, but rather decide who to vote for based on policies and the direction the goernment seems to be headed. As a Michigan Resident I can only hope that my home state is required to FOLLOW THE RULES THEY AGREED TOO PRIOR TO THE PRIMARY THAT WAS HELD IN OUR STATE! It is high time that our government takes responsibility for their "POOR" judgement to hold a primary that is in violation of the rules that they agreed too! I am sorry but all you CLINTON lovers need to realize if the Michigan voice is not heard at the Democratic National Convention they you should hold your OWN state responsibile not the candidates that ran a "FAIR and RESONSIBLE" race!

I am a Montana Democrat who wants to know, Why is it taking the DNC so long to determine the fate of Florida and Michigan? Wouldn't you think that a controvercial topic such as this would have been addressed right away after Super Tuesday or in March or in April? Hillary is clearly the most electable candidate by far taking into consideration these vicories!

My sincere apologies to the Democrats in Florida and Michigan for calling your voters dumb. If i knew that West Virginia University was the only education opportunity for the Hillarybillys in the state, i realized that their voters fly way under the radar in rational decisions.

Now, we are all know what Hillary is made of, She claims to love the party, but she is destroying the party out of her selfishness. I think it is time for her to just call it quit, and support Obama. Maybe and I repeat maybe she might have a chance for the running mate. Come on Hillary why don' you just accep defeat?

What people are missing about the race argument is that black people overwhelmingly vote for the Democratic candidate in the general election.
Bill Clinton got over 85% of the black vote in his 1996 campaign.
What we are seeing are white voters who voted for Clinton are threatening to vote for McCain.

There is a difference:
If Hillary beat Obama in the Democratic Primary, black voters have proven that they would continue to support the Domocratic nominee no matter what color they are.
Like I said previously, white voters are threatening to vote for McCain.

When people want to talk about race and what it means to electing the President in November, it's an absolute apples and oranges issue.

Black people would never vote for McCain.
Never.

White people who call themselves Democrats wil vote for McCain.

That is where the argument of racism holds water.

All the national polls I've seen for months now say that either Hillary or Barak will wipe the floor with McCain. Those who are shooting their lips off on this forum about how they won't vote Democrat because of the way the vote is going don't mean SQUAT!

Would Obama drop out if the popular vote was virtually tied? Would Obama chose to decide to disenfranchise MI and FL, if he was a little behind?

I know if the roles were reversed the pundits would be saying how the DNC is creating the most divisive civil rights violation in the history of America. All the civil rights activists would be parading their opinions about how Obama is being treated unfairly if he won MI and FL; and the media would just eat up all this controversy.

The media’s presumptive coronation of Obama and trying to close down the democratic process of selecting our nominee is only hurting the Democratic Party and just shows that the pundits do not decide the election process - the voters do!

It is amazing how Obama supporters can continue to slip their little attack innuendos in during their comments and opinions, while demeaning the voters in WV. Hillary continues to show her strength and will not give up until all the votes are counted.

The voters who want change voted for Hillary in WV.

I am voting for a Democrat in November - whether it is Hillary, Obama, or Satan, Prince of Darkness (whups - I forgot he is currently serving as vice-president).

No, I am not satisfied with the results of the primaries. It seems that if you don't have media marquee value - you have no chance. I would likely prefer Kucinich or Edwards to the two remaining Democrats - but our strange system of giving power to a few "early" states means that the rest of have to pick through whoever remains. A sad system. Regardless, I will vote for whoever is annointed at the convention.

McCain has some virtues - but he is a Republican. I have burned too many times to think that the leopard will change his spots.

How about making WV folks get some education first.

There should be some minimal education before someone can vote.

WV voting should be DISCOUNTED .

Well - any case, it does not matter, right!.

Go Obama

Obama's record__ This is for all you Obama Haters ( B/NYC)

-A "health care for hybrids" bill
-An Energy Security Bill

-Various bills on relief for Hurricane Katrina, including aid for kids and a ban on no-bid contracts by FEMA

-A public database of all federal spending and contracts

-Trying to raise CAFE standards

-Veterans' health care

-Making certain kinds of voter intimidation illegal

-A lobbying reform bill (with Tom Coburn), which would do all sorts of good things, notably including one of my perennial favorites, requiring that bills be made available to members of Congress at least 72 hours before they have to vote on them.

-A proposal to revamp ethics oversight, replacing the present ethics Committee with a bipartisan commission of retired judges and members of Congress, and allowing any citizen to report ethics violations. This would have fixed one of the huge problems with the present system, namely: that the members have to police themselves.

-Introducing legislation to make it illegal for tax preparers to sell personal information.

-Legislation on chemical plant security.

-Legislation on lead paint.

Any questions!!!!!

Hillbilly shouldn't drop out until the primaries are over. That being said you must still play by the rules which means you can't count FL and especially MI.

Also, keep in mind McCain came in a distant THIRD in WV!

Its just a matter of time.

It's this pandering to the uneducated and prejudiced that brought you Americans 8 years of Bush. Hope for our sake that it doesn't happen again. We here have a conservative minority government and they had to severely reign in their racist few to win. God Bless America, she really needs it now.

Regardless of racism or not, the fact is it has been too long and nothing is actually working for Hillary. Yes, she winning W V but what will that mean? For person of her who speaks about uniting the party what will it take to know that things are not in her favor.
Obama leads right now in superdelegates that was one of the major excuses she had. more states won by Obama. no debt on record for Obama. More campaign fund raised by Obama. The best campaign organizer goes to Obama. What else does Hillary wants. It is time for voters of the UNITED STATES to put an end to all this. This is The United States of America. This is not the Divided States of America. African-Americans have a long time record for voting for white candidates. Why can't people understand the phrase, "do unto others as you may want them to do unto you". Let this game be over please.

Go ahead! Only two things can happen if a "team" does not make the playoffs.............1)They struggle in the beginning, 2) That team can't compete, 3) That team needs improvement, 4) And last but not least, you gotta take EVERY "game"(state) seriously........unless you clinched a playoff spot MANY, MANY MONTHS AGO! LOL!!!! Yep, who knew this race would continue after Super Tuesday......LOL!!!

West Virginia is showing that race is clearly a problem for many white. They simply don't want to elect a black man as president. Obama and Clinton's values aren't really far apart enough for that to be the issue. Admit it fellow white Americans...you're still plagued with the racist disease.

Please the race is over. Hillary is just making a fool out of herself and dividing the party. Anybody with a GED can add and figure out the math is not woking for her. Please...bow out now with grace and dignity! The only way she can win is if they steal the nomination from Obama. I doubt very seriously that the democratic party will stoop that low!

Of course, the exit polls show that W. Virginia Dems want the race to continue - because they are solidly behind Clinton. I'm sure if Clinton were ahead of Obama in delegates and the pressure was on Obama to drop out then these same voters would be claiming that Obama should concede. The very fact that these people are coming out to vote in the primary indicates that they want the race to continue. Otherwise, they would just stay home and let Obama win comfortably.

"It's Hillary or I'll write her name in." "If its not Hillary, I'm voting for McCain." Will you be able to say that without feeling ashamed when were still in Iraq and deeper into recession in four years?

Stop focusing on the conidate and start focusing on the consequences. This isn't a desicion that should be based on spite or just having "a bad feeling."

So go ahead, write in "Hillary" or switch over to McCain. Be spiteful and hold a grudge. I just hope you can feel good about that when a cousin, a neighbor, a friend or family member is killed in Iraq because we're still in there 3 or 4 years from now. Or, according to McCain, 100 years if necessary.

Divided we fall.

Okay. These polls were taken in West Virginia. Of course since the most of the people support Clinton, they want her to stay in. Very irrelevant poll.

As far as people claiming to write in Clinton in the General, grow up. A write in for Clinton is a vote for McCain.

Hillary, quit dreaming and trying to buy the White House! I would like to point out one thing that will come out…If Clinton is always lending herself money because her campaign is 31M in debt does this not reflect on her ability to financially manage her own campaign funding yet she wants to manage the US Economy? Obviously one pales in comparison to the other…but we are beginning to see her inability to be fiscally responsible?

This race would have turned completely different if the media especially CNN and MSNBC would not have been so biased in protecting Obama and the story of Wright would be released BEFORE super tuesday. Since that point Obama has lost momentum and now it might be too late for the American Voters.
We rely on the news coverages TOO MUCH and if I would have known about Wright before Supertuesday the vote would have been different.
I do not believe that Obama did not know about Wrights comments. Especially while he was his spiritual guide and he put him in the same spot as his grandma. I really hope that Hillary would continue in the presidential primaries as an INDEPENDENT while clearly the voters did not got all the information. I will for sure not vote for Obama and if Hillary will not run as an INDEPENDENT I will vote for the the Republican party while I do not want us to make the same mistake as what happened with Bush. This was also the underdog and we did not know so much about him and look were we are.

Jenna: I hope all with your viewpoint will reconsider. Hillary & Obama are so close on the issues, and either one of them will make a fine president. McCain & Bush are also real close on the issues. Do you really want another 4 plus more years of Bush?

If this campaigne continues, the Dems are digging their own graves. It is a waste of money and time to allow this to continue. Moreover when Hillary keep uneccesary attacks. She better attack McCain than obama. But is unfortunate she has attacked Obama more than McCain have atttack Obama. She better loan the party than to loan her dying campaigne. She better stop and campaigne for the Dem Party than herself. I wonder if she will campaigne for the Dem as she has for her campaigne.

West Virginia voters want the White House to remain white. But the popular vote has gone to Obama, so CLEARLY the country's racist are sitting together in a clump. I wonder if their racism has anything to do with how badly they are doing in household income, the economy and jobs. LOL

I love it! And I love all these closet racists who claim they feel Clinton would be the best candidate. She's the one with the worst budget shown. She's the one who has proven herself dishonest. She's the one who has double talked and been manipulative. She's the one who didn't have the foresight to plan beyond the initial Super Tuesday. She's the one who changed her position on the war right before she came out to run for president. She's the one who was fine with disenfranchising Florida and Michigan voters until she fell behind and needed them.

Yet, they feel she is the best thing for our country. They trust her! Right! Just be honest; you HRC supporters would rather have a lying, manipulative, incompetent, unprepared, user than a Black man.

You can't win and if you vote for McCain you only prove yourselves to be racist. McCain stands against all Hillary stands for. To vote for someone so polar opposite only shows that you aren't looking at her policies and principles...you are looking at her pigmentation.

Paul Lewis,
We care about West Virginia because it is a state in the USA.
We care about everyone, not just whites, blacks, latinos, men women, rich, poor, educated, uneducated.

We care because we are a union.

Obama supporters are oh so mean.
Get a better understanding on Democracy, it is all inclusive.

If you hate, can you judge someone else?

To Holly and the other ignorant Americans crying racism... just shut up and go home....

West Virginia is a big state for hunting and the NRA. Obama has a double standard on the second amendment where he says he's for it, yet constantly voted against it and supports anti-gun groups.

The people of West Virginia do not trust him, so that's why he is losing. It's that simple.

Yes, there may be voters that are racist, but that's in all forms of life for a variety of things and has no effect on anything.

Wake up and think for yourselves for once.

Exit polls: CNN wants Democratic race to continue

(and consequently paints the primary to be closer than it is, as if it were actually mathematically possible for Hillary to win.)
